GW2 idea

Pronoun titles.

Hear me out.

Nobody would HAVE to use them. The way I'm thinking they wouldn't even have to affect anything about the in-game dialogue or UI. (altho it'd be awesome if it did but that's a bigger commitment, whereas I feel like the title idea is VERY low commitment for Anet) They'd literally just be there to communicate your identity to other players/project your identity. I think even something as basic as just giving every player access to titles that say "he/him" "she/her" "they/them" would be really cool. (any additional options would be encouraged tho)

And it'd be using a system that already exists! The most obvious benefit would be to non binary people. Because a binary trans person like myself can just play the gender they are but there's no NB option in the character creator. And by making it something like a title you also wouldn't be stuck with any set of pronouns for a character. (which could be cool for genderfluid people for one, not to mention the fact that this game has been around for 10+ years and I'm sure I'm not the only person who's pronouns have changed in that time.)

For myself, while I play pretty antisocially in any mmorpg I play, I think it might make me feel more at ease playing fem-presenting characters if I could just have a little he/him under the name. (femboy vibes??) GW2 is one of those games where sadly the male characters can lean a little potato while the female characters serve all the cunt. I might be a man but I'm also gay, and I like to kill monsters ✨fabulously✨

I do realize there's a harassment risk here. But I feel like that's kind of covered by the fact that nobody would be obligated to use it. Anybody could just use ANY OTHER title. For those that feel comfortable displaying your pronouns publicly, it'd be there. For those just want to fly under the radar, they still could.

Hunter sleeps holding his Sprig plushie, and he's done this since he was really little. Lilith gave it to him by putting it in the crib next to him, as a gift from one of his predecessors.

(In the Canon!Timeline, it was last seen at Gus's place. Locked in his toybox for safe keeping. Once it was found again, Hunter kept it on his bed. Occasionally bringing it with him to sleepovers.)

(I'm debating on whether it'll be too big for him to hold as a baby. But I'm imagining him as smaller than the plushie for scale. Also the eyes are soft, so it would be safe for an infant/toddler under 3.)

for the past few expansions i've been having a crisis over what pets to give Taikka bc now there's so many GOOD and CUTE ones. back in BC and Wrath you had like. the space raptors. some cool wolves. big worm. a bunch of flying pets i wouldn't use because they take up too much screen space. glowy jellyfish and magic glow dog.

then cata came out and there were some new versions of things, and i loved the new scorpids so i stuck with that for years.

but now i'm spoiled for choice and i don't know what i WANT. just a nice version of a dog or cat? cool snake? something wild and magical like a wind serpent or dragon horse? THEY GOT CUTE LITTLE RODENTS NOW
