Always a bit puzzled by people saying that anyone who wanted long-term consequences for TotK Zelda's sacrifice are "edgy".
I'm not even particularly in the camp that she should have remained a dragon forever (I think this should have been Ganondorf's fate, it would have been sooo much more impactful than to explode him and move on but anyway). To be honest, I wish the rules for turning back would have been 1) clear 2) active gameplay on the player so that it feels like it's something we have earned, and 3) not make her have amnesia about it and/or at least having her gain some crucial insight because of the experience.
(also: doesn't she crave knowledge? isn't that insanely mean to have her watch over every civilization and every bit of history ever and then take it away from her? kind of dislike how totk privileges the comfort of the player's feelings over what the characters would actually want or need tbh)
To be perfectly honest, I fully expected us needing to turn her back before engaging Ganondorf so we would fight him together, especially since Zelda as a compagnon exists in the game code already (though in a very subdued state). It feels very very strange to me that all of this mechanic of Sages following us existing and yet we never have the very climactic cool Zelda-staple moment of facing Ganondorf or Ganon together (OoT, WW, TP, ST and probably more that I'm forgetting all did this in some way --even BotW had Zelda more involved than in TotK). I'm not sure Mineru was a compagnon that was needed over Zelda honestly, especially given the kind of non-insight she gives us on the zonai (even if the idea of the mecha is cool, it really could have been Zelda using her zonai + sheikah knowledge to pilot one for us or something).
But anyway: yeah, even if this isn't what I would have wanted personally, I think wanting Zelda to remain a dragon is kind of arguably more respectful of her relationship to Link, in a way, that what the game ended up doing. When she enacted this sacrifice, Zelda decided to trust him to such a extent that she lost herself, reciprocated his trust in her and his devotion to her, and now the future of Hyrule exists beyond her and beyond what Hyrule once was, but she trusts them to follow through and be happy and she will watch over them from the stars moving on. It's fine if we manage to save her from that fate, but even if we don't, honestly this sounds like a beautiful story/tragic romance to me, if you want to read it that way. Tragedy doesn't necesserily involve edginess. Fictional pain isn't always mean, or out to get you.

How I have described Arcane various characters to my wife:
Jinx: perfect baby angel that can do no wrong but also an unrepentant killer with mental health issues
Vi: Golden retriever pit fighter that shares the same braincell with all the orange cats
Caitlyn: Sherlock Holmes as a hot princess that became a dictator
Jayce: Rare example of a himbo super genius. Intellectual inventor whose brain leaves him the second he’s away from the lab
Victor: Machine Jesus?
Mel: The only reason to watch the political thriller part of this show
Silco: Crime dad
Sevika: Lesbian thirst trap / Punchy grumpy wine aunt
Ekko: The quantifiably best person in the show. Not my favorite, because I’m a sapphic that loves messy drama, but the best
Ambessa: WarMommy

i understand that the start is a bit upsetting and the plot could be a little confusing but i have to say, Ninth has the best dratchet I ever read
Yep. Wholeheartedly agree. Ninth is definitely not for everyone but oh boy, the first intermission?? Muah. One of the most fucked up out of all body horrors I have read but also easily one of the best Dratchet depictions. And the moment when Hot Rod narrates? Ahahaha amazing.
I have funny love/hate relationship with this fic haha. On one hand, yeah, the flashback parts are great. On the other, I don’t like fleshy animals. It’s 50/50

playing dragon age veilguard is going to be SO fucking funny because me, the person, the player, the real life human being HATES solas but my "canon" inquisitor considered him a confidant and friend and sometimes even a mentor figure. so while my inquisitor is like "maybe i can still convince him... maybe it doesn't need to end in bloodshed" i'm hovering behind him like

I’m still bitter that they didn’t think it was important enough for Jinx and Caitlyn to have a one on one conversation with each other and then have them fight it out.
Does Jinx know one of the councilors was Caitlyn’s mother? Are we suppose too assume she finds out during the time jump, off-screen? Is that not important enough address to ON-SCREEN????
Why establish this entire arc for Caitlyn that starts with Jinx, but you don’t see the importance of them interacting?
I know Jinx is a genius and in the game she gets away from being caught by Vi and Caitlyn numerous times, but isn’t Caitlyn supposed to have these super, amazing detective skills? That’s one of her defining traits in the lore.
I find it hard to believe that not once could she locate Jinx in the span of those months.
Also, Vi and Jinx don’t even speak about Caitlyn at all. Sometimes the writing for both of the sisters gives the impression that they don’t even remember what happened in season 1.
Yes, I know she chose “Jinx” and accepted that they both changed, but she went from being very obsessive to acting like Caitlyn doesn’t even exist really quickly. What happened to her very severe abandonment issues?

Funniest thing about the stranger things love triangles for me is still the way the writers used almost the same plot beats twice, with siblings on both sides, with similar thematic resonance, and half the fans have still not caught up on where they're going. You are allowed to think it's not going to end up with canon Byler. But the amount of fans (people who are actually invested in watching and understanding the show you know) who won't even admit that they could be setting up a love triangle is still so strange to me. Genuinely, what more do you need to at least consider the possibility ?
