Ah, the head pop. Yes, I feel it is in the character of Aziraphale to ask for permission first. Anybody except Crowley.
What do you think Aziraphale was doing in this scene?
Was he hiding as he waited for Crowley? Or was he talking to the Bentley?
I like to think he was asking the Bentley if it was okay to drive her to Edinburgh. Only if the Bentley was okay with Aziraphale driving her, only then he'd tell Crowley he planned on taking "our car".
Thoughts?

"If you're hurt by finding out that a person you admired did something bad or are worried about the idea they might, it shows you need to not form attachments to people you don't personally know."
I have bad news for you about how literally the entirety of human socialization and the human mind work. You can say "here's a stick from off the ground. his name is Stanley and he has a loving family" and then break the stick and people will feel hurt because they formed a positive connection to Stanley. Humans project attachment onto everything. Asking people not to feel connections to other humans is not feasible. It's not possible and, if it were, it sure as hell wouldn't be healthy.
You didn't do anything wrong if you feel hurt that someone you didn't personally know did something wrong. You're not parasitic or obsessive for wanting people you don't personally know to be good people. Being devastated that someone you liked did something horrible isn't a sign you liked them too much, it's a sign you have the basic human ability to form emotional and social connections. Your responsibility is being aware of those connections and behaving in ways that are healthy, respectful, and keep you and others safe.
Trying to just not admire people or not feel a connection to other humans won't work. Focus instead on being aware of what your relationships to other people are, what actions on your part are acceptable given that level of relationship, what actions are acceptable on their part, and what level of relationship it's realistic or healthy to project. And be ready, as with all things in life, to change your views on something or someone when presented with new information, even if you have very strong emotional connections to the subject. For example: "I'd love to get a cup of coffee with the celebrity I don't know and talk with them about a film they're in. I imagine that would be nice." <- normal human emotion "I will go to this celebrity I don't know and ask them, apropos of nothing, to get a coffee with me/I expect this celebrity I've never met WILL go to coffee with me" <- Unrealistic level of projected relationship. Crosses boundaries of normal human interactions between strangers.
"I'm devastated this actor I liked was an abuser" <- normal human emotion
"I won't believe that this actor was an abuser because I like him and therefore can tell he wouldn't do that" <- Unrealistic and unhealthy level of projected relationship. Unsafe for you and others.
You can't just "not admire" people, yes, even people you don't know personally. Instead, be careful to make sure your admiration of someone doesn't affect your ability to make judgements about them.
#i don't know#I see a lot of posts that are clearly well meaning and the idea of maintaining a realistic view of your connections to strangers is solid#but they always seem to rely on this underlying shame#and this idea that it's on you to never form positive feelings because what if they're wrong#it's not sustainable and frankly it's very easy to exploit#because if your philosophy boils down to 'don't ever have parasocial relationships'#(which is impossible to begin with#since humans feel connections with everyone all the time#and any "many-to-one' relationship of performer to audience is technically 'parasocial')#it means all someone has to do to circumvent it is convince you you're more than a fan and have a closer relationship than that#which is already where the danger is#be aware of the behaviors of everyone you interact with#and ready to adjust your behavior and your views on people when you need to especially when you don't know them well#you're just going to be fighting a losing battle trying to just not care about celebrities#it's on them for doing something horrible not on you for daring to form connections with other people

Tuvok is not as autistic coded in-narrative compared to what I've seen of Spock or T'Pol where they're othered heavily by those around them and have themes and arcs about struggling/striving to fit in BUT I do think he provides the vital autistic representation of not really angsting about your differences from other people because you're too busy and unaware and then even when you ARE made aware you mostly just think 'glad that's not me'. I think it's vital to have that sort of totally unbothered rep. I love that Tuvok is completely satisfied and proud of being Vulcan, doesn't long to experience emotion or struggle with a desire to express himself in a way his crewmates will understand, to be closer to them. I love that he has a long time and close friend that respects who he is and doesn't try to change him and that how close they are isn't framed as being in spite of his Vulcan nature. I love that being Vulcan isn't framed as a hindrance to him, like a roadblock to living a full and rich life. He has a wife and four kids and is a devoted husband and father. He's getting into gay horror scenarios. Tuvok was born on autism planet and he's thriving.
#there were apparently multiple friend group dramas in high school that I didn't pick up on at ALL#I'm drawn to how at ease Tuvok is with himself and I personally like that Humanity isn't appealing to him#It was at one point when he was a young but not anymore#I personally (it truly is personal) don't like when Vulcans' way of life is framed as being incorrect. I see it a lot in fanfic where part#of showing romance or friendship is that a Vulcan will emote more or 'loosen up' but I don't like it...I think it's a bit boring and that#them being alien with a completely alien form of emotional control/expression is what makes a Vulcan interesting. Otherwise#they seem like nothing more than overly repressed Humans. I do get the appeal of a repressed character being freer but I don't like#the implication that an entire culture is restrictive and bad bc it isn't easily understandable as 'good' in our view. So um...it's like??#I don't like when it's like 'this Vulcan is acting more like what I a Human think is good - they're acting more like me so it's healthier'#does that make sense?? I want it to be...less about bringing someone over to your side and more about love and understanding even if you#aren't the same. It doesn't have to be the same to be lovely I think...and I like how Tuvok and Janeway are so exemplary of their species'#values and that DOESN'T mean they butt heads. They work exceptionally well together and trust each other and care about one another a lot#and I like that a lot! I wish we got to see more of that. WHAT a RANT!!! Sorry!!!#Tuvok#autistic tuvok#star trek voyager#voy#I like Tuvok because I personally can't relate as much to characters like Data who wish to be Human and as a kid I thought of myself as#an alien taking Human form - I didn't want to be Human. I was just there amongst them. I liked that difference...#it made me feel a little lonely and a little special.

Babysitter for a Bat (but not those bats)
Living costs in Gotham City may be cheap, but it ain’t free, and Danny is a bit strapped for cash at the moment.
So when he hears the price that a woman named Francine Langstrom is offering for a babysitter for her two kids, he jumps at the chance.
Sure, the mention of a strict interview was a potential hurdle, and the caveats included were a bit odd, but hey, Gotham is a dangerous place. Making sure your babysitter is trustworthy and capable of defending themself feels entirely reasonable, even if some details feel a tad strange.
Then he saw the kids, and everything clicked together. He finally realized why that last name sounded familiar, and all the strange details in the job offer suddenly made sense.
This was the family of Kirk Langstrom, the scientist who became the Man-Bat.
And his son Aaron had inherited his bat-like mutations.
Oh and i’ve added a screenshot of a page with Aaron under the readmore

#okay so a brief overview of the characters:#•Kirk: the father. A geneticist became Man-Bat while trying to cure his hearing loss. Temporarily “cured” (returned to sanity/human form)…#…but it wasn’t permanent and he sometimes regressed‚ so he left his family at times to “keep them safe”. Probably absent in this story.#•Francine: the mother. Probably doesn’t have the bat mutations‚ but she *could* since she has taken the serum before#•Aaron: youngest son‚ born with the bat mutations permanently (though from what i’ve read it seems he later got the ability to hide them?)#•Rebecca (“Becky”): eldest daughter. may or may not have bat mutations here (she wasn’t born with them in canon and only got them later but#…this could be set after that or in an AU where she was born with them if you want her to have the mutations in the story)#and Danny could be a regular college student‚ a runaway‚ or even something else entirely so long as he has a reason to take the job#e.g. heck idk maybe he’s immortal and just wants to take care of a kid (though that would negate the money aspect from the main post)#dp x dc#dpxdc#dc x dp#dcxdp#danny phantom x dc#danny phantom x dc crossover#dp x dc prompt#dpxdc prompt#dc x dp prompt#dcxdp prompt

I’m going insane
#dst#dont starve#dont starve together#ghost draws#dst wx78#dst woodrow#that seems to be what everyone calls their human form so Im gonna tag as that#the binary is the same one from their compendium description#so it says ‘too late too late too late’#but yeah Ive been formulating a lotta thoughts on Woodrow#they were a proper mad scientist. experimenting on yourself gets you a lotta mad scientist points#I’ve been trying to figure out what the hell their initial goal could’ve been. doesn’t seem like full robot was the initial intention#but I like strongly feel like this was more their project than Wagstaffs.#they’re both credited equally in WXs description so I don’t think they were an assistant like I’ve seen people suggest#actually WX is credited first even if it’s redacted#there’s not much to go off of so I’m still formulating my thoughts#the point is that they put two morally questionable scientists in a room together and were surprised it went horribly wrong

opened tiktok (mistake number one, i know) and immediately saw someone saying that Thomas Hutter subverts the "disbelieving husband" trope which... listen i love a thoroughly pathetic mess of a man myself and i get that Ellen's other option is a 400yo evil corpse, but can we please not give him credit for things he didn't do?..
the literal inciting incident of the story is that Thomas DOESN'T listen to Ellen. he doesn't believe her. she tells him that she's got a bad feeling about this trip, begs him not to go, tells him about her nightmare - and what does he do? he calls it a childish fantasy, tells her to stop worrying, and implies that she would benefit from talking to a doctor. saying shit softly doesn't make it any less dismissive or insulting, like i'm sorry but this is peak Disbelieving Husband in a Horror Movie behaviour. he only changed his mind once Orlok put him through the horrors himself, which is also a perfectly standard thing for a Disbelieving Husband to do in the second act. furthermore, from the beginning of the film, he neglects Ellen's emotional needs, is uncomfortable with her abnormalities, and doesn't even really know what sort of gifts she likes - and again, these are all standard flaws for a Disbelieving Husband to exhibit. they're indicative of a disconnect between him and his wife that he continuously refuses to bridge.
caring for someone doesn't mean you can't neglect or harm them, and that applies to everyone - including Normal People like Thomas, like Harding, like Sievers, like the viewer; and that's the point of the film
#nosferatu#nosferatu (2024)#ellen hutter#thomas hutter#the thing is i LIKE thomas as a character#he is sympathetic and fun to dissect and i kinda wanna put him in a jar and shake him#but also he HAS FLAWS. MANY OF THEM. that's what makes him a well-rounded character in the first place#much of the suffering ellen endures throughout the film is a result of socially acceptable mundane forms of violence (e.g. medical)#and thomas contributes to her suffering!! despite his best intentions!!!#but many many people are uncomfortable with the idea that someone who looks and seems so soft and normal and Safe could cause pain#because that invites a deeper sort of self-reflection and perhaps even accountability#nonono. much easier to blame all the violence that ever happens on a Monster from Somewhere Else#and a soft-spoken normal human guy is not a monster right?? look how hardworking he is how could he ever cause her any pain???#let's go on a big witch hunt and destroy this inhuman freak!!! so nobody will be ever harmed again because We're Normal and Safe#and when the freaks are gone then the poor people brainwashed and groomed by these freaks will become normal again <3#lol can you tell i am an autistic transgender immigrant from these tags#anyway thomas hutter is reaping what jonathan harker sowed. and he doesn't deserve the credit

Matoba is So Real actually. If I had to face the horrors of protecting 11 clans and the rest of the exorcist community as my 9-to-5 from the age of 22 or possibly younger, I deserve a little sweet treat after finishing a job. Make it three sweet treats while I'm at it
#thanking midorikawa for making matoba a sweet tooth haver. he's just like me fr (needs positive reinforcement in the form of sweet treats)#like yeah if i were stuck in an exorcist conclave with a bunch of western treats? i'd help myself while i'm at it too haha 😭🤚#idk i just love this little tidbit. makes him seem even more human imo. look at the matoba clan head going /_^ after getting another slice!#also. i don't think we ever got a confirmation about at what age seiji became the matoba clan head? :o but he's 22 in canon currently?#matoba seiji#natsume yuujinchou#natsume's book of friends#natsuyuu#natsuyuu manga#natsumanga

Ghostly Case
When Richard Grayson was asked to investigate the murder of Daniel Fenton he didn't think much of it. Sure, it was extremely sad, but Dick was a cop, he saw cases like that every day, it was a little unusual to be asked to investigate it directly but that was okay.
Dick didn't know the rabbit hole he had gone down. There were so many complications, and none of the witnesses were cooperating, the boy's family refused to see his body!!!, to make matters worse someone had stolen the damn corpse.
So yeah, Dick couldn't be blamed for bringing Nightwing into the case, maybe Bruce would scold him later but he didn't care, Nightwing had resources that Officer Grayson didn't and that was all that mattered.
When he finally thought he had figured something out a ghost appeared in his apartment, scared and asking for help. Of course the case was more complicated, what did he expect?
But Dick had never been able to say no to a scared teenager and he wasn't about to start now.

I have so many AU's in my head and so little energy to write them so have an OG Star Trek/Edward Scissorhands crossover I vividly hallucinated on the way to walmart today and want to write when I'm not so exhausted:
So this has the structure of an OG Star Trek episode but like the special guest is Edward. So it starts off normally with Kirk's voiceover telling his captain's log what the Mission is this episode. Said mission is to investigate weird energy readings on a planet and see if they pose any threat to the small Earth colony on the planet.
Kirk, Spock and a security team (aka redshirts) beam down to the rocky, mountainous planet and presently discover a tunnel where the energy readings are coming from. Kirk and Spock go through the tunnel and come out the other side into the verdant garden of Edward's mansion.
(rest under the cut because this got ridiculously long)
They investigate and Spock says that the tricorder readings say that this is an entirely different planet from the one they just left and that there is one life sign nearby. After investigating the garden (which even Spock comments on, leading Kirk to comment that he thought Vulcans didn't appreciate beauty, to which Spock replies that Vulcans are capable of appreciating the aesthetically pleasing without having an emotional response.)
They head inside the mansion and are surprised by the stark difference to the garden. They inspect the machines but don't know what they're for and Spock informs the captain that the life sign is on the top floor of the mansion. Since they've done this sort of thing a few times they realize this could be a trap so they retrieve the security team and also call down Bones and Scotty from the Enterprise- Scotty to see if he can get the machines in the mansion running and Bones in case anyone gets hurt.
Kirk, Spock and Bones head up to the attic. Once there they inspect the hole in the roof but all they can see out of it is the town. Kirk and Bones also find Edward's bed and look curiously at his little cutouts until Spock calls them over and tells them their mystery life sign is in the corner of the attic.
Edward is hiding in the corner like he does in the movie and they can kind of see the vague outline of a person there so Kirk gives his normal spiel introducing himself as captain of the Enterprise, on a peaceful mission, etc. Eventually he manages to coax Edward out to where they can see him.
They're less shocked at his appearance than Peg was but they're still surprised. Bones scans him from a safe distance and confirms the tricorder readings that said Edward is kind of human. Kirk questions Edward and they manage to learn his name and that he was created in the castle by his father and that he's been alone since his father died and he hasn't gone down into the town because he's "not finished". Edward is just as nervous meeting people for the first time as he is meeting Peg in the movie.
They're interrupted by a bang from downstairs and Scotty yelling that he got the machine working. Kirk asks Edward if he knows what the machine is and Edward tells him it makes cookies. Bones is skeptical. Spock mutters "fascinating" as he continues to fiddle with the tricorder. Kirk convinces Edward to come downstairs with them.
Kirk sends the security team outside so as not to freak Edward out any more than need be. Edward and Scotty are slightly alarmed at the sight of each other but Edward is quickly distracted by his father's machine actually working. Scotty confirms that it is a machine for making cookies.
Kirk asks Spock and Bones for their analysis of the situation and Spock informs them that they have not only traveled in space, but time and that they are currently on Earth in the mid 20th century (again) and that the portal between the two places will close in about an hour.
Kirk then asks what they think of Edward. Bones says he must be some kind of android and that while he looks like a man Edward obviously has the mind and understanding of a child. Spock adds that it's impressive that an inventor in the 1900's was able to make such a creature. Kirk is reluctant to leave Edward behind all alone because of his childlike nature but Spock reminds him that they're in the past and that taking Edward to the Enterprise could have dangerous consequences to the timeline. So Kirk orders him to go back to Enterprise and check history to see if Edward ever leaves the castle and if taking him could affect anything.
A little while later Spock contacts them and explains that if they leave Edward he'll eventually go down to the town, live there a few months and then be chased out by the townsfolk and subsequently killed in an altercation with them and that there's no other records of Edward that the computer or Spock can find. Kirk concludes that removing Edward from the timeline would have a negligible effect but Spock reminds him that it could have unexpected consequences. Bones adds that they don't know why the townspeople chased Edward away either and that it could be because he turned violent. They look over at Edward, who is currently sitting on the floor next to his father's cookie machine, holding a heart sugar cookie and looking sad. Kirk gives Bones a look that says, "Really? You sure about that?" and then goes over to talk to Edward.
Kirk asks Edward if he'd like to live with other people and of course the poor lonely boy says yes. Kirk tells him that Edward could come with them to Enterprise and that they could find a home for him with other people- and give him proper hands too. Edward is very excited at the idea of this, but Bones adds that Edward would never be able to come back to the mansion, he'd be leaving forever. Edward is sad at the idea of that, but he still wants to come with them.
So when the group leaves they take Edward with them. Edward is anxious and a little reluctant to go through the portal and gives one last look to his garden, but Kirk calls to him and after a moment Edward follows. The portal closes behind him.
The security team is beamed up first and Edward freaks out a little when they just disappear. Scotty tries to explain the transporter to him and Bones grumbles about having his atoms rearranged.
Once Edward is on the ship he's pretty overwhelmed. Kirk sends him with Bones to sickbay to get checked out and promises to come get Edward and show him his new quarters (he has to explain what "quarters" are) after the ship is underway.
Bones gives Edward a medical exam and reports to Kirk when he comes down to sickbay. Bones is... a little surprised and unnerved by Edward's anatomy and the fact that he's not just partially mechanical but that he's made up of such weird old mechanical bits (I took some pictures of the Inventor's sketches for Edward's body from the movie and I'm pretty sure this kid has a bellows for lungs HOW does that work???). He also reports on Edward's mental state and reiterates that Edward has a very childlike understanding of most things, but that he seems perfectly intelligent and can read and do things like basic math. He's still not sure if bringing Edward here was a good idea.
We then go back to Kirk's captain's log comments where he talks about the next few days and Edward settling in to being on the ship. The crew, for the most part, likes Edward and pretty much everyone is endeared by how sweet and polite he is. Kirk notes however that unlike other times when things like this have happened it seems to be perfectly natural and organic and Edward is definitely not manipulating anything. They plan to leave Edward on an Earth colony planet with the means to craft him normal hands and integrate him into society.
Edward is happy to be on the ship and with people. He's easily startled and overwhelmed and incredibly sensitive and not at all violent. In fact, on the rare occasion someone yells at him/gets annoyed/angry he'll retreat and apologize and sometimes panic and hide. The crew quickly figures out he's basically a child and treats him as such (but like, the way you SHOULD treat children, not in a demeaning way like the neighbors in the movie). He pops up in random places sometimes, like engineering and the bridge, but they're pretty sure he just gets lost sometimes and ends up there because he'll just stand in one spot and look wide eyed and lost until someone tells him what to do. He's basically the least problematic outsider they've ever had on the ship.
And then, a week or so after Edward comes on board, a dead crewman is found, stabbed through the heart.
Instantly, Edward is under suspicion. And, like, for good reason this time, like, they never bring anyone on this ship without having problems it's a theme.
They call Edward to sickbay where Kirk questions him. Edward isn't sure what's going on but he answers truthfully. Kirk shows him the body of the dead crewman and asks Edward if he knows him and Edward says he doesn't. Edward asks what's wrong with the man and Bones replies that he's dead. Edward asks Bones if he can fix him and Bones snaps at him that no, he can't, dead is dead and it would take an act of God to bring a dead person back, and then he very pointedly adds that when you stab someone through the heart that kills them. (Bones thinks that Edward killed the man, and that the townspeople drove him out on Earth because he hurt/killed someone.)
Edward is shocked and frightened by Bones' tirade, and at the end of it he very quietly states that that's what happened to his father. Kirk feels bad and tells him he can go.
Kirk and Bones argue about this; Bones doesn't think Kirk should let Edward freely roam the ship because he might become violent and hurt someone. Kirk argues that Edward has done nothing violent so far and seems innocent. Bones says that Edward's innocence might be the problem, that Edward might not even know he has the ability to kill someone and that he might have done it for the first time on accident... but he might do it a second time on purpose. Kirk just doesn't believe Edward had anything at all to do with the first murder.
A tense couple of days pass. People are more nervous and hostile around Edward now, though a fair number of the crew still believe he's innocent. Edward keeps following Spock around because Spock doesn't get angry with him. Spock is trying to teach him to play chess. Edward is not very good at it. (Spock would never admit it but he feels a bit of a connection with Edward- he understands being half human but not being able to understand or fit in with them)
Three days after the murder the bridge gets a panicked, one word message from Edward, "Help". They find him in a corridor standing over the body of a woman crewmember with blood on his hands. Edward tells them "I didn't mean to". The woman has been stabbed.
She is still alive this time though and is rushed to sickbay. Edward is confined to quarters. Kirk and Spock go to sickbay where Bones informs them that he thinks he can save the woman but he has to do surgery immediately. He berates Kirk for not locking Edward up sooner but Kirk thinks that things don't add up. After all, why would Edward stab someone and then call for help?
Spock agrees with Kirk that they're missing something and offers to do a mind-meld to find out what really happened. Bones says that they can't do it with the crewwoman because he has to take her into surgery, to which Spock replies that he meant he'd mind meld with Edward. Kirk asks if that's possible since Edward is part machine and Spock says they'll find out.
They go to Edward's quarters and find him sitting against the wall in a corner with his knees against his chest, crying. He's overwrought and tries to apologize and Kirk tells him they're here to find out what really happened. Spock explains, in basic terms, what a mind meld is and asks Edward if he's willing to try it. Edward agrees and they do the mind meld.
Spock learns that Edward was walking down a corridor when he heard voices shouting and went to try and see what was going on/help. He found a man with a knife raised, poised to stab to the injured crewwoman. Edward ran forward to try and help and, while he couldn't prevent the woman from getting stabbed he did chase the man away by running into him and accidentally cutting him- which was how the blood got on his hands. Realizing the woman was dying, Edward panicked and called the bridge for help.
Armed with this new information Kirk and Spock now know that Edward is innocent, but they now need to catch their true murderer. Kirk comes up with a plan to trap the man and prove Edward's innocence- but it involves putting Edward in danger. Basically, they assume that the killer will want to get rid of Edward now that Edward's seen him and so Kirk figures that they can trap the man by using Edward as bait. He explains this to Edward and tells him they'll come up with a different plan if he doesn't want to do it, but Edward agrees- he doesn't want anyone else put in danger and he, kind of, in a way, sees himself as expendable.
Kirk and Spock leave Edward's quarters but stay nearby with a security team and wait. Maybe an hour or so later the murderer arrives and goes into Edward's room where he confronts Edward and attacks him. Kirk, Spock and the security officers then rush into the room to apprehend the man, but he's gone mad and a madman is powerful. Luckily so is the Vulcan neck pinch and they manage to subdue him. Edward is injured but not badly, he's more just shaken and traumatized by everything.
Everything turns out alright; the crewwoman recovers, the murderer is put in the brig, and Edward's innocence is proved.
Later, Kirk questions the murderer and discovers that the man had personal grudges against the two people he attacked and that he'd been planning to kill them for a long time, Edward just gave him the perfect excuse to finally go through with his plan. Kirk is disgusted and a little unnerved. As he leaves the brig, Spock appears and tells him that he ran the murderous crewman's name through the computer and discovered that he is the descendant of the man Edward would have killed had he stayed in the proper timeline. They have a somewhat existential discussion about how history still demanded a life be taken and this was the way history righted itself and Kirk is upset that his actions caused the death of one of his crew and wonders if he did the right thing.
And then Edward appears and smiles at them and asks Spock if they can play chess and Kirk decides that he still made the right choice.
The End
Bonus scene/story to go with this: Enterprise takes Edward to some specialized medical facility and he gets his hands and shows them and he's all excited to go on adventures with them now and no one has the heart to tell him they were gonna just leave him (no, not even Spock, the main guys probably go through passing the potential conversation to the next until it stops on Spock and Spock's like "I believe the captain wishes me to relay that he has put in a request to Starfleet to allow you to join the crew." and Kirk is like "WHAT- I mean, of course, yes, right-" and Edward's just so happy and delighted. Kirk sends a message to Starfleet like "Listen you have to let me keep him. Someone will ADOPT him if necessary but not even my Vulcan science officer can bear to break his little mechanical heart by telling him he has to leave so he's a part of my crew now. I've stopped 27 universe-ending disasters in the past week, you have to give me this.") so they just. keep Edward. Story Idea
Okay so, this one I've put a lot of thought into so I'm gonna put a lot under the read-more in case anyone's willing to actually wait for it to be written up.
So, the premise is that the Senju are a clan of monster hunters in the modern day. They deal with ghosts and cryptids and the like but the most dangerous are demons. Tobirama is one of their best field agents. However, after his fiancé was tragically killed by a demon, he blamed himself and began taking missions like he had nothing more to lose.
If you've been paying attention, you can probably guess that that fiance was Izuna.
Actually, before Izuna died, Tobirama had planned to stop taking such long and/or dangerous missions so the two of them could build a life together. He was going to step back into more of a mentor role.
He really only has one goal in his life now. To kill - not banish - the demon that killed his fiancé and finally set his soul to rest.
Read more if you don't care about *spoilers*
So, Tobirama hears about some sketchy stuff going on around his would-be brother-in-law and goes on what should be a rather minor mission.
Or it would be, if the culprit weren't a demon wearing the face of his former lover.
Of course, he does not take this well and attacks - only for it to be revealed that the demon is in fact Izuna. Madara somehow managed to summon his now demonic soul.
This version of Izuna does not remember anything about his life. Reminders such as his name, engagement ring, etc cause him physical pain. He wants to hurt but also wants to be near Tobirama instinctively. But he also realizes as a fledgling demon he's wildly outclassed so heès afraid of him too.
Tobirama, logically, should banish Izuna back to the demon realm. At the very least he should bind Izuna under his command so that he has control over him. He does not do that.
Instead he makes a subservient contract like the one Madara has. He also lies to his brother and the Senju about the situation.
EVEN MORE SPOILERY (BE WARNED)
So Izuna's death was a conspiracy of the Senju elders who wanted to keep Tobirama under their thumb. Izuna leaned this before his death so a huge motivation for his demon is an intense hatred towards the Senju. But he has no memory of why.
Tobirama and Madara take it to mean he did blame Tobirama for his death.
#Anyways Izuna has taken the identity of a distant relative presumed dead 'sasuke'#Him and his immediate family died in a housefire and he looks enough like izuna that it's a great cover (I'm sure this won't be relevant)#Hikaku thinks 'Sasuke' is taking advantage of Madara's mourning and is generally distrustful#but even if he still seems not all there it's still better than he was before#There's a flashback scene where Tobirama's holding Izuna#who's only being kept alive by the demon who'd tortured him#and he offers himself in exchange for Izuna's soul/life/freedom#and izuna's like: ':) don't worry you'll be okay'#when the demon gives them the opportunity to say goodbye#and then he turns around and kills the demon with tobirama's blade#leading them both to be dragged to hell#no Tobirama was NOT okay#Madara gets plagued with horrible nightmares fatigue and mood swings thanks to the demonic contract#he also has to do everything he commands#luckily Izuna's a newbie demon and has no idea what to do with a thrall#his 'real form' is actually a small weasel like creature with eight wings seven eyes scales etc#again he has no idea why he's so comfortable in this 'human skin'#Are Tobirama and Madara going to do wildly unethical things to keep 'Izuna' happy and healthy#yes ofc#tobiizu#fanfic idea#the demon who killed izuna's probably zetsu so good luck Tobirama 👍#nobody better try pulling the 'izuna wouldn't want this' card#the only thing he'd steadfastly disapprove of is tobirama and madara getting hurt/being put at risk

I know we all talk about how down-bad Disney guys tend to be for their girls and that's obviously great, but Disney girls are just as down bad for their guys. Which ones would you say are near, if not total wrecks for their guys?
#disney#disney heroines#meta#disney meta#romance#txt#ariel is the most blatantly obvious answer here lmao#mulan does give me the vibe that she would be down bad lmao#megara is another blatantly obvious answer here#rapunzel as well. she is willing to do anything for flynn#jane is another down bad example. she was unable to hide it whenever she was in tarzan's proximity#despite what you may think of her strong temperament jasmine seems like an incredibly devoted so#also tiana was willing to leave her dream of opening a restaurant and returning to her human form for naveen so...#which is interesting because she couldn't stand that man's guts

Posting this while the dash is asleep BUT here's a Nikolai starter call! Unless you want a particular verse of his (BSD or HSR, with the HSR one allowing him to interact with muses from any verses with superpowers), I'll probably pick whichever one I feel fits best for your muse! So pwease specify your muse if you're a multi, or your verse if your muse has several verses!
#tbd.#◜✧ . ❪ ooc. ❫#I need to finish the post detailing Nikolai's HSR verse & post it but alas... no irl time to do that yet 💔💔💔#The TL;DR is he's an Emanator of Elation; whose powers mirror those he has in BSD but stretched to their maximum potential#Namely! He can teleport himself & anything/anyone else absolutely Anywhere in the cosmos at Any given time#and he's aware of everything happening in the cosmos due to Perpetually having an eye (the masked one) floating in the universe#He might seem eccentric but not scary per se... UNTIL he casually transports an apocalyptic event from one planet to Where You Stand 😭#He's known as 'the jester' & 'the clown' and God Knows where he will next appear or what he will do. Whimsy in human form#As for other verses that aren't BSD or HSR; I'll default to HSR since with the ability mentioned above ^ he can appear on any planet#Including smth like. Genshin or Wuwa or anything else!

Super important question. Do you think Yakumo is ticklish?
wait hold on i have to look this up
#scrunches my face in serious contemplation while i scroll thru the results#my instinct said no#and upon reading the results for ARE SNAKES TICKLISH#seems like snakes ...according to the science so far... cannot feel ticklish#they may have sensitive areas that will make them go >:\ ???? or :O?!?!? if u touch em#making me think about From The Earth Nectar again#where yakumo (human version) is a bit sensitive after moulting#so he was actually a bit ticklish with his fresh skin. yeah. i'll incorporate that into my headcanon#my urge to stay somewhat true to science banishes me to the Boring Corner where yakumo isn't ticklish#especially not as a snake. but maybe in human form he gets a bit sensitive in certain areas#not like tickle torture level where you can poke his ribs and he'll yelp/start crying#but. uh. he's already so jumpy that he doesn't need to be ticklish to startle at an unexpected touch. you know??!#part of me DID consider... what if.. yakumo ticklish on his sides or smth#that's giving us another way to reduce him to tears............very tempting#for now i'll give him this ONE thing#this ONE advantage (?) in bodily control#i personally am not very ticklish so i'm also just going with the easiest-to-imagine headcanon#the few situations where someone manages to find a ticklish millimeter on me and i risk punching them out LOL#it's automatic and not a fun time for anyone involved#anon do you have thoughts about a ticklish yakumo?#are you about to open my eyes to another dazzling dimension?#nu carnival yakumo
