Roller Skating-Sam x Reader

Sam and I walked into the roller skating rink. I immediately felt the good vibes from the colorful lights and the fun music playing. I was also excited as this was my first time taking Sam roller skating. We got our skates and put them on. Sam tried to stand on the carpet and immediately lost balance. “Woah!” He shouted as he fell back down on the seat. “Holy shit, that was trippy.”

I chuckled a bit, “Need some help?”

“Nah, I-I think I got it.” He took some time to get up on his feet. The look of determination on his face was both funny and cute. I let out a small giggle as he finally got up on his feet. He didn’t fall this time, but he wobbled on his feet.

I stepped into the rink and almost slipped at first, but I was able to adjust pretty fast and did a lap around the rink to warm up. I made my way back to Sam to see him still standing on the carpet at the edge of the rink.

“Come on, you’ll be fine,” I assured him.

Sam took deep breaths, preparing himself to get in the rink, “Okay, here I go.” He took one step in and instantly lost control of his feet. His legs flailed about in every direction, he even almost fell into the splits. He let out an “Oof!” as he finally fell to the ground with a hard thud. I instantly let out a burst of laughter as he flailed about. He looked like a cartoon character. I bent over and held my stomach as I wiped my tears of joy.

“That hurt so fucking badly.” He let out a huff of breath as he laid there on the floor.

“Sam, come on. There are five year olds that can do this,” I teased, pointing out all the little kids whizzing by.

“Oh sure, don’t show concern for me after I almost just broke my legs and died.” He replied sarcastically. I shickered and finally went to help him up. As stubborn as Sam was, he did let me help him to his feet. He groaned and rubbed his back where it hurt.

“Hehe, don’t worry, I’ll give you a massage when we get home,” I leaned in and gave him a quick and simple peck on the cheek. He stood stunned for a moment. Even in the colored lights, I could tell he was blushing from that small peck. He’s so cute. I smiled, grabbed hold of his hand and started to slowly lead him through the rink, “For now, let’s just take it slow.” He nodded, a look of seriousness on his face. I could tell he really wanted to get this right.

Sam was extremely stiff, barely moving his feet in an attempt to keep balance. “Sam, you gotta move your feet. You’re not gonna get anymore moving like that.”

“Yeah, just give me a second, doofus.” Sam tried to make some movement with his feet and lost his balance again, almost taking me down with him. I quickly pulled us back up and grabbed ahold of his shoulders to steady him.

“Careful!” I softly trailed my hands down his arms and took hold of his hand again. He held on tight and I made sure to keep my grip firm, “Don’t overthink it, it’s simple. Right, left, right, left.” Eventually, we were able to do a full lap around the rink. “See? Easy.”

“Yeah, I think I’m getting the hang of it!” Sam grinned, a look of a small triumph on his face. I smiled in response, his genuine smile was the best thing to me, it always made me smile too. Once he got a sorta steady rhythm, I slowly let go of his hand to give him a little push. He started to trip up and he quickly grabbed hold of my hand again, “W-Wait, don't let go just yet.”

“Hehe, are you planning to cling onto me the whole time?” I asked, jokingly. I couldn’t help but feel quite delighted that Sam needed so much of my help. He was annoyingly better than me at almost everything, so it was really cute to see him so insistent on learning how to skate from me.

“Hold on, I wanna try something real quick,” Sam said suddenly. He let me get slightly ahead of him before he grabbed hold of my waist from behind. I froze at his sudden hold on me and I could hear Sam smugly chuckle in my ear, “What’s wrong, doofus?” He lightly started to trail his fingers under my shirt. I felt my face heat up as a blush started to overcome my face. “N-nothing.” I started to skate again and Sam firmly gripped onto my waist. We did a couple laps around the rink like that. I felt Sam ease up a bit as he began to easily follow the movement of my feet.

“Hey, I think I’m actually doing better this way!” Sam smiled. He eventually gained enough confidence to let go of me and skate on his own. He stumbled at first, but soon, he was actually skating just fine on his own.

“There you go! You’re getting it!” I cheered him on. Sam finally managed to gain control of his body and started to skate with confidence.

Soon enough, he started skating in circles around me.

“Try to keep up, doofus!” He gloated as he skated past me. I puffed my cheeks and tried to keep up with his pace. I was trying so hard to keep up with him, I ended up slipping and falling on my butt. “Very graceful.” He said slyly and he skated to a stop in front of me. I couldn’t help but laugh. I was honestly having the time of my life skating with him.

“That's the thanks I get for teaching you?” I pouted in mock annoyance. Sam laughed in return as he offered his hand to me and helped me up. In a swift movement, he took the opportunity to pull me to him and lay a deep kiss on my lips.

“Thanks, doofus. I love you.” I stopped and stood there stunned as a flustered blush heated up my whole face.

The speaker above us crackled and a voice chimed in, “Skaters, fast skate is happening soon! Please make your way to the starting line if you’re participating!”

Sam grinned with excitement. “Well, I bet I’ll be great at that. Come on!” He started making his way over to the start line as I still stood there dumbfounded.

I finally came back down the earth as I realized what he said, “H-hey! Don’t cheat!” I shouted before I followed after him.

hehe ghost-turbo haunting felix au

turbo is connected to the last piece of his code in the whole arcade - a trophy he gifted to felix in mid 80s as a symbol of him genuinely caring about their relationships on par with being the best racer. felix also gave him one of his medals and both kept their gifts next to other rewards, but when roadblasters and turbotime were unplugged, the medal was gone with everything else

now, after burning in cola-lava turbo is basically dead, but scraps of his code still were intertwined with the trophy (after all, it was his first winner's cup, but felix never knew about it), giving turbo an opportunity to exist as a shadow incapable of interacting with anything and anyone besides felix, who kept the trophy even after the roadblasters incident

Do i think that the LOA has technology in it? Absolutely I do. LED lights but in 3000k warm white instead of the jarring bright sterile white, if they've got glass windows they're those solar panel glass panes my college natural science building uses that detects sunlight position, which in term controls the lights, which in turn saves energy. Amber lights for outside, solar panels. Just. anything environmentally sound and friendly, they've got it, they use it.

Do i think they've got computers and tvs lying around for casual recreational use? ....that i'm not so sure about. For this au? I'm gonna say nooooottt really. That stuff is typically reserved for like, mission planning, debriefing, research, etc. Frankly danny probably does know how to use a computer, however i thought it was funny if he didn't. so the meme is staying in lmao.

If they're not training, they've probably like, got a greenhouse or two somewhere on base they can help with. The LoA's whole thing is balance, harmony, restoring the natural world with extreme environmentalism. All that jazz. Probably plenty of ponds, recreational areas outside, gardens, just, stuff to do that's not technology based. My most basic understanding is that these people are the world's deadliest hippies. They can't be training all the time, that's neither good for morale nor for their bodies, so when they're not training... they're off doing shit. If Ras has kept this thing running for thousands of years then it’s gotta be pretty lit enough that nobody’s revolted lmao.
