Tips for doing this as someone who is autistic and an ADHDer. (The ADHD combo makes executive function harder for me but also makes strong routine and repetition boring).
1. Do the same thing differently
eg. Walk on the other side of the road, take a different route with the same destination (like the bus idea op had)
2. Add something new to something familiar
eg. I had never used onion powder but I'm adding it to pasta dishes now to try it out
3. Take up deals
new things are scary and are extra so if they're expensive. Try new foods when they're on special. Get a different combo of food when they're offering new combos. Go to the cheaper trial classes for things like art and sport.
4. Consider often, even if you know you might go with the familiar choice
When choosing dinner, have a look at what's out there. When deciding what to watch or play, really look at all options. Even if you're pretty sure you aren't up for it, becoming familiar with the other options before choosing them can help
5. Let yourself try things others around you like or are trying
This was the one that got me to branch out the most. When I had someone else who was familiar with the food or game, I could feel safe in following their lead. Or if they're keen to try a new thing, I feel better about doing the same. It doesn't mean I'll like it but sometimes I might. (Eg. Tofu. I really enjoy tofu now)
(grabs you by the shoulders) you have to make room for new experiences in your life. you have to go through the unpleasant work of leaving your comfort zone, even if just for a few minutes at a time. because if you don't, your brain will trick you into stagnation. you will start to believe that the world can barely fit you in it. but that's not true. it's the opposite way around. you can fit the whole word inside of you. your task is only this: to welcome it with open arms

STEP THREE : THE RIDE
series masterlist
a/n - my favorite chapter by far . had a good amount of find writing it . jeongin tho 👀 just kidding . or maybe not . hmm . n e ways enjoys beloveds ! (i promie jinnie is coming lets have patience)
You counted the amount of heads walking toward the car, four in total. You recognized all of them of course. Members of the town's most popular group. A friend group in which Hyunjin was an integral member. Yang Jeongin, Lee Minho, Han Jisung, and finally Seo Changbin. You breathed out a sigh of relief as they rounded the car. You were safe for now, and that's all you cared about. But this proved to be a whole other problem entirely. How to not embarrass yourself in front of your crush's friends. These were some of the most important people to him.
Your best friend's tone of annoyance brought you back to the present moment. And not to your surprise another problem. There weren't enough seats in her car for all of you. Someone would have to lap up. The obvious solution thanks to a helpful comment from Minho would be for her and Changbiin to lap up. But her best friend refused, keeping up appearances and all. And none of the guys wanted to lap up so that left you. With all their eyes on you, it was hard to say no. But they did leave you with the dignity to choose whose lap you would sit on.
Really it was only between Jisung and Jeongin both of whom you know to a certain degree. Sharing a few classes with them. In the end, you decided to go with Jeongin whose kind eyes and calm energy won you ever. Jisung let out a whine at your choice. Stating "he's a much better chair than anyone here" whatever that might means.
After loading up the car and making yourself as comfortable as you could in someone's lap you were off again. Traffic finally lets up as you make your way up the road. The ride was pleasant despite being a little cramped. Jeongin is the perfect gentleman below you. Popping into the conversation ever so often with a funny comment. Laughter ran rapid, even your best friend cracked a smile or two at the boy's playful teasing and banter. Your mind started drifting as it usually does. Is this how Hyunjin feels when he's surrounded by his friends? Does the laughter always flow this easily, with no awkward pauses or stretches of silence?
A pinch is felt on your thigh and you are met by the concerned eyes of Jeongin. The words "You good" silently left his lips. A brief nod from you was enough to appease him as he smiled and went back to gazing out the window. Once you dragged your eyes from his lips you were met with another smile from someone else. An up to no good smile from the one and only lee minho. You recognized this look, you've seen it from afar one too many times, you never thought you would be the subject of one of those looks though. A raised eyebrow is all he got from you. Which seemed to only encourage him to continue teasing.
Jisung saved you from whatever he was planning by asking you if you'd finished the English paper due next week. He wanted to know if you would agree to help him. Claiming he's as lost as someone looking at a map upside down". Which sent that car into a laughing fit. Despite the laughter you could tell he really wanted the help. Between the plea and his big round eyes, it was easy for you to say yes.
From the front, your friend passed a bottle of tequila to you per Minho's request. Before you had a chance to decline and pass the bottle, Minho suggested you go first, that same mischievous glint in his eye back from earlier. Encouraging everyone to chant your name. And you always found it hard to not perform in front of an audience. Feeling emboldened you tossed a wink in his direction before tossing a shot back. The car erupted into cheers. Receiving a high five of approval from Jisung. You felt liquor dribbling down your lips. Before you had the chance to wipe it off another hand beat you to it. Long fingers briefly brushing your lips, you turn to thank Jeongin to which he just smiles. The finger that touched your lips now between his own. Before you could ponder too long on that intimate interaction a ringtone coming from Changbin's phone grabs everyone's attention. Even your best friend peeks at his screen to see whose name flashes across. "It's just Hyunjin," he says to her more than anyone else. More cheers erupt in the car until he hushes them to answer the call.

i've read people's thoughts on the album as a whole and i've analysed most of the songs myself by now, so here's my thoughts on the whole people's champion album.
1. in ready to go, well he is just that, ready to go and try, even if he fails. he's not afraid and going forward and doing his thing is what he intends to do and what he loves to do. he has agency over his career and image, autonomy over himself.
my longer and more in depth song analysis posts are linked here in the text.
i personally don't think the album has a single narrative through it. the songs are thematically connected, but it's not one chronological and cohesive story to me. i've seen people speaking a lot on the theme of agency. i'd agree, that agency and autonomy are the major themes of the album, but i would specify that in my opinion, it's about finding and claiming agency. i think he has agency in almost every single song, but it's about him realising that he does have it, even when it feels like he doesn't, and him finding it and holding on to it.
2. in cha cha cha, he's talking about different sides of himself. in this song the two aren't necessarily living in perfect harmony, because one man needs piña coladas to coax him out, but both are.. intentional. and ultimately it's about finding the bravery to be who you are, which he is always advocating for and has really succeeded in, it seems.
3. in takavoltti, yes he is being sort of incited into crazy shit, but he absolutely recognises himself as a person who just.. gets into crazy shit easily. this side of him is also very present in mic mac. he's not bullied or abused into insane stunts and things, he recognises his own agency and both mental and physical autonomy in all of it by comparing himself to the dudesons etc. i think the song recognises the toxicity of the situation, but he's in control of it - as much as you are in control of your own personality and impulses.
4. ruoska is getting into the territory of maybe lacking some agency - life treats him harshly sometimes, and maybe he feels a bit powerless in front of all that. but then! he claims agency, by essentially going well yeah this hurts but hehe i'm into pain bitch. he literally says "baby hei mä oon valmis, anna tulla" meaning i'm ready, give it to me.
5. in kot kot i feel like he is at his most helpless. he's trying to control his situation by running away from things, trying to dance his worries away, but it's all crumbling down. in this one his agency in the situation is pretend.
7. in sex = money he is taking back like aaaalll of his agency and autonomy. his image, his work, his power, his role, his personality, his sexuality. autonomous agency anthem! he doesn't give a fuck! let's make sex moneyyy. BUT at the same time the song recognises the risks concerning agency and autonomy in the world of music, where selling sex is so prevalent. i think he is choosing to hold on to his.
6. in skit + autiomaa, he has lost agency and control over his life yes, but he is learning to find it again. he is listing things that he has done, to help himself feel better and to improve. it might not help (immediately anyway) but he's doing it. and he has thought about it, he has sought for help, he has sought for solutions, he has taken the steps. he is actively trying to help himself. i think that makes the song all the more emotional and sad, but it is not without hope, it's not without his own personal action for himself, and not without progress.
8. bananas is more about togetherness and collectivity i think. but i think it's also a song where he is truly enjoying himself. feeling himself, you know? if kot kot is a pretty sad song about partying, this one is pretty sexy. he's feeling like the hottest boy at the club, you know? truly into himself and into his crew and everything they get up to.
9. huhhahhei is about new connections. making the choice to be open and even vulnerable with new people. setting your own boundaries and giving yourself the permission to enjoy new people. self-confidence!
10. in icip, he's not so much in control of things that happen to him, but he doesn't seem to be toooo bothered about it. which i find quite fitting. he sees things for what they are but he doesn't seem insecure or scared about any of it.
11. people's champion is a recap of him finding himself in a whole new situation and finding his footing in all of it - and recognising the help he has had along the way, while also being proud of everything he himself has achieved.
so overall, i think thematically this album is quite heavy, maybe dark even, but to me, it's not a sad album specifically. he comes across as someone incredibly tenacious. he's able to stay very strong, and he is able to recognise when things aren't going great. i think ultimately, the album is him going through life changing events, both good things and bad things, and coming out on the other side stronger and wiser than ever. it's an album of many emotions, but at the end of the day, he persists. and naming it people's champion, the single tear on the cover.. he's facing it all, taking it all head on, claiming his pride and moving forward. he's strong.
it's a powerful album.

Greetings Folx! This week holds uniting energies, some life level changes, and, healing For the week of November 11, 2024 💚 The week begins with the energy of The Lovers; love creating a union of two definitive parts; a union of people, energies, ideas, or even, parts of yourself.
It will require you to reconcile your emotions over what will change because of the union, and what you will have to let go in order to unite two into one. Your heart or your head, past or present; whatever the choice, look at it with love and choose what your heart desires, for your highest good. The right choice will be made if you have accepted others and yourself. Where the choice brings you joy, let it radiate through you; spread the love. 💙 Midweek, you may find a sudden, unexpected shift in your status quo. Typically, this appears in an area that supports the structure of your routine, or beliefs, requires you to reassess what you think is true, and/or ‘right’, and creates a need for new structures, beliefs, and plans. Like a Jenga puzzle, sometimes pulling a piece away causes a small tremor and sometimes, it can bring down the whole structure. Whether it’s a small shift, or a rude awakening, try to see the change as a beneficial ‘reset’; the Universe pulling down what doesn’t work for you so you can see new possibilities. Once the fault in the structure is exposed, you can see the truth, and choose how to move forward. 🧡 The weekend offers balance, and opportunities for renewal, and healing. Temperance is about the alchemy, or delicate blend of energy and focus required to keep all aspects of your life on the right track. This may be a good time to focus on any deeper personal issues you have been putting aside; time to work through them and integrate them; to heal.
Wherever you decide to focus your energy, do it with courage and the knowledge that the Universe supports your endeavours to embrace your highest good and highest healing. Gus an ath thuras (Until next time), Darlings. Have a wonderful week Peace Out

I mean... I have gone through phases of reading something like a hundred books a year for absolutely no reason other than I've been a compulsive reader forever? And that (plus undiagnosed ADHD ahahaa) does tend to make you read some things really really fast? Not everything, and it's not a bad thing as such.
I ran across both of these today and I just
I mean there are a fair few different things going on here:
Big chunks of text aren't the easiest for anyone to read, and on a purely functional level they do tend to interrupt the flow of reading. If you read fast, you do tend to automatically skim longer paras, pick out the odd word and assess how relevant the whole section really is to pay attention to. It's a valid and recognised reading technique (literally how they reach speed reading) and if you do realise you've missed anything important, you can always go back and check (one reason I prefer reading to audiobooks).
That tiktoker is talking pretty specifically about a particular genre, and I don't think it's that controversial to say a fair amount of that genre can be considered skimmable if you're not reading it for the writing per se - romantasy particularly is mainly targeted at adults but a fair amount of it is then written at a YA level. It's deliberately predictable and not designed to be challenging to read (there is a whole other essay to be written about communicating information and which reading level you choose for that). Sometimes you just like the trope or the characters or a setting or something and that's all you want from a (very long) book. Skimming is a totally reasonable way to approach that.
If you have ADHD especially, then a lot of the time it feels like you're trying to outwit and outpace your attention span whenever you start a new book (literally the same reason I have to binge TV shows or I forget they exist between episodes). Sometimes the choice is between finishing the book really really fast before you lose interest, putting it down and completely forgetting what happened (or that it exists at all), or chucking it on the DNF pile where it will taunt you as yet another thing you failed at :)
Which is to say that sometimes skimming is the only technique that lets you finish a book, and finishing a book does your self-esteem a whole world of good if you frequently beat yourself up for being flakey.
I cannot stress enough that most books aren't inherently skimmable but that person is talking about specific books that are, for them. It's not about being disdainful about reading or books, it's about wanting to read and finding a method that works best for you.
These people have to be stopped
#lmao complaining about people reading too many books takes me right back to my childhood ahaahaaa#reading books is also better for your brain than doomscrolling (and gives your eyes a screen break)#if you're a compulsive kind of person then you're going to be doing ~something~ like that and books are the least worst option#i have a very short list of authors who i trust to write tropey genres well and their writing i do tend to wallow in#but I'm still racing to finish books i love because it's ~still~ the only way to outwit my brain#the occasional audiobook narrator i can tolerate just feels soooo slow i save them to fall asleep to or for migraine naps#listening on a faster speed is the most horrendous thing ever and it's STILL slower than reading it#I'm trying to quit twitter doomscrolling so here i am writing shit on tumblr instead with two paperbacks abandoned on my lap#i need to go to bed and read a chunk of the really good book i am currently not skimming

Unbreakable Until Broken
Summary: A widening rift forms between you and Vi as you choose different paths in the struggle between Piltover and Zaun. When you confront each other, words meant to protect end up driving you both even further apart.
W: Angst, heartbreak, implied violence, emotional distress, themes of betrayal and hopelessness
a/n: requests are open!!
The streets of the Undercity are quiet tonight, cloaked in a stillness that feels unnatural, almost haunting. You’d spent countless nights in these shadows with Vi, once thick as thieves, in sync with every look and movement. Now, the silence feels like a knife pressing against your back, sharper and colder with each passing moment.
And then you hear it — the unmistakable sound of boots against the cobblestones. Even before she rounds the corner, you know it’s her.
Vi steps out of the darkness, her face half-lit by the sickly glow of a nearby street lamp. She’s a silhouette of tension, fists clenched, jaw tight. Her eyes, once so warm when they looked at you, are hard, unforgiving. You stand your ground, feeling the urge to look away but forcing yourself not to. If this was the end, you needed to face it fully.
“Thought you’d show up here,” she says, voice low and gravelly, carrying the hurt she’s tried to hide beneath layers of anger. “Couldn’t leave things unfinished, could you?”
You swallow hard, steeling yourself. “I came because we need to talk, Vi. You know that.”
“Do I?” She takes a step forward, the hurt flashing in her eyes as she looks at you. “Seems like you’ve been talking plenty with them,” she spits, bitterness lacing her words. “You’re practically one of them now, aren’t you?”
You flinch, feeling her words dig deep, sharper than any blade. “This isn’t about sides, Vi. It’s about Zaun. It’s about the people suffering while we get stuck fighting each other. You and me — we were supposed to be different. We were supposed to protect them together.”
“Protect them?” Her laugh is hollow, laced with disbelief. “Protect them by siding with those Piltover scum? They’re the reason we’re down here, fighting for scraps. They’re the reason my family’s dead, that Vander’s dead, that… that you’re about to be dead to me too.”
The words hit like a punch to the gut. You’ve faced danger together, you’ve faced heartbreak together — but you never thought you’d face this. Her words leave you raw, exposed. Part of you wants to lash out, to make her hurt just as much as she’s hurt you. But you hold back, knowing that adding fuel to the fire would only burn the last fragments of what you still had left.
“Vi, I’m not your enemy,” you say, voice wavering. “I did this for us. For the people down here. I thought — I thought if I could work with them, if I could find a way to ease the tension, maybe we could finally get some peace.”
“Peace?” Vi snarls. She takes a step closer, fists shaking. “You think they want peace? Piltover doesn’t care about peace. They only care about controlling us, using us. They’ll smile to your face, make promises, and then gut you the second you turn your back. And you… you’re just letting them.”
You’re trembling now, the anger and heartbreak boiling over. “So that’s it? After everything we’ve been through, you’re just going to see me as a traitor?”
She doesn’t answer right away, and the silence is louder than any of her words. She looks away, as if unable to meet your gaze. “I don’t know what I see you as anymore.”
The pain in her voice is like a dagger. “I’ve given up so much to try and do what’s right,” you whisper, your voice breaking. “I thought if anyone could understand, it would be you.”
Vi’s face contorts, her expression a mixture of hurt and frustration. “You didn’t have to give us up.”
“I didn’t give us up!” you shout, the anger and desperation spilling over. “I fought for us. But you left me no choice. You wouldn’t listen. You were too blinded by your hatred to see any other way.”
Her eyes narrow, and you realize your words have only made things worse. She’s furious now, hurt boiling over into something darker. “So this is my fault, huh? I was the one trying to protect Zaun — protect you. And this is what I get?”
“Maybe you should’ve been more worried about listening than protecting,” you fire back, the words slipping out before you can stop them. “You’re so quick to fight, to throw punches. But you never stop to think. To ask if maybe, just maybe, there’s another way.”
Her face falls, and for a moment, you think you see a glimmer of the girl you once knew — the girl you loved. But it’s gone as quickly as it came, replaced by a mask of indifference that cuts deeper than her anger ever could.
“You’re right,” she says softly, voice hollow. “I don’t think. I just fight. And maybe that’s all I ever was to you — a fighter. Someone to throw herself in harm’s way while you played at diplomacy with our enemies.”
“Vi, you know that’s not true,” you whisper, but your voice sounds so small, so insignificant. She shakes her head, looking at you like she’s seeing a stranger.
“I don’t know anything about you anymore,” she mutters, her voice breaking. “I thought I did. But maybe I was wrong.”
You reach out, desperate to bridge the gap between you, but she pulls away, the movement tearing through you like shrapnel. “Please, Vi,” you plead, voice choked with unshed tears. “Don’t do this. We can figure this out. We can still fix it.”
But she shakes her head, turning away from you. “I don’t think we can, (Y/N). I don’t think I can.”
You stand there, frozen, as she walks away, each step echoing in the empty alleyway. A part of you wants to chase after her, to hold on, to make her understand. But another part knows that it’s over, that something vital has shattered between you, something that may never be repaired.
As her figure fades into the shadows, you’re left alone, the silence pressing in on you, colder and emptier than ever. You’d once thought that nothing could come between you and Vi, that your bond was unbreakable.
But as the echoes of her footsteps fade into the distance, you realize that some things, once broken, can never truly be fixed.

talkn bout my opinions on rook and varric and roleplay and feeling disconnected (roleplay in a game sense not the freaky sense. sorry) - SPOILERS FOR ENTIRE GAME, BEWARE. this post is WAY too long. sorry about that too.
it's very evident that bioware/EA wanted an action/adventure game first and an RPG second, but let me type at you.
i hate to say that i didn't feel particularly sad about varric's fate, due to the structure of the game. it is, in hindsight, completely obvious that he was not alive! i just hadn't been thinking about varric much at all the entire game because you have limited opportunity to talk to him in the infirmary or when he plops around barefoot when everyone decides to sit at a table and talk about how fucked we are. i genuinely forgot he was there otherwise.
he barely feels like a guy himself. because there's no personalized worldstate, any specific mentions to events or characters might be jarring to the player who may have made a different choice along the way.
no one talks about how sorry they are about varric because they CAN'T or the twist is completely revealed. even with another DA2 character in the game (who my hawke romanced. who is now dead in the fade. glad to see you're LIVING IT UP ISABELA!!! (I'm jk. a little.))
there's no response rook can say to condolences outside of "oh, thanks" without the game fully revealing its Twist, because "I'll tell him you said hi" and "he'll be up and walking in no time!" are only reasonable responses from a Mourn Watcher, and even then, should still cause your companions to be a little alarmed. the closest we get to this is the inquisitor making reference to lost friends, and rook visually registers it, but its swept under the rug and moved on from immediately.
(i know we're all mentally unwell in this lighthouse repressing our feelings but jesus christ)
despite spending two games with him and enjoying him as a character, I struggle with feeling much for his loss AS my rook, because i found there to be no meaningful connection between him and rook. i was only told i was supposed to have one.
the game wanted so badly get the ball rolling with an immediate threat, its at the expense of roleplay. you could argue that da2 and inq also started with Immediate Threats but you are also very limited in the choosing of your backstory in those games.
rook was deliberately designed to be more open-ended, with more similarity to origins, but still gave you a prequel where you felt what your life was before The World Began To End.
there's this conversation you can walk in on with lucanis and davrin, where they're talking about their worst jobs. there are three dialogue for rook I think and i can only remember two but they were "I don't want to talk about it" or "man I have the dreadwolf in my head". (I... honestly think the third option was very similar to the second one but I have a very bad memory. sorry)
i played a mourn watcher mage. i had to have done some messed up spirit stuff. some bone shenanigans. not able to mention my Down With Nobles rebellion at all. i halfway expected it to be revealed that my rook was just like a shitty pawn (haha) and actually all her memories are fake and not real. but obviously you meet people from your shared backstory and they do know OF you but they don't really know you
in mass effect 1, there were some unique missions related to both the backstory and psychological profile you picked for shepard. they were short, and nothing happens like that in 2+3 that i remember, but they are unique to your character and are something at least.
no one really asks you much more about yourself! mourn watcher rook is literally Found In The Crypts as an Infant, an incredible mystery that you have to fill in the blanks yourself, which could be something someone wants-- but i personally like my characters a little more predefined in a game such as dragon age. vague history worked for me in games like skyrim and fallout new vegas, even baldurs gate! but makes me feel wholly disconnected from the story and group here.
there was a fair amount of dialogue choices for mourn watcher, especially with Emmrich-- talking with emmrich was one of the few times my rook felt like A Person-- but there were other times that my companions seemed to think emmrich was the only necromancer/watcher on the team. (i even specialized in death caller!)
by containing all the dialogue with companions to ! markers and outings, it's weird to be unable to have any conversations without being able to provide personal insight, whereas some NPCs in inquisition actively asked you about your past.
its particularly noticeable because of lucanis, whom my rook romanced. the dude has a lot to say about nevarran culture and the necropolis and such, and we can have zero conversations on the matter lol.
maybe this is like, really a mourn watcher thing? maybe it feels better as a crow or a warden. but if you offer me the choice to be a freak crawling around in a tomb. i am going to be.
TLDR: i really feel that a prequel mission, a recruitment by varric then a timeskip, a personal quest tied to the consequences of your backstory, something, anything, to make rook feel like an actual part of the world, was a necessity and sincerely a missed opportunity. if you actually read this far, thanks!

Dating headcanons!! (Ftm reader edition)
Pairing(s): Characters x FtM!Reader
Characters(s): Will Solace, Leo Valdez, Nico Di Angelo
Asked for either or, you shall get all
Will Solace
Will solace the man that you are
Honestly is the best person to talk to about your identity and everything
Most likely to buy you an endearingly cringey cake when you come out to him (if you haven’t already)
Alongside the horrendous trans merch he can get his hands on
That you still choose to wear despite being “disgusted”
Anyways
Will is always ready to have those heartfelt and serious talks when you need them most
He’s definitely the most validating person in the room
Like seriously I cannot stress this enough
He’s always taking you to spaces where you’d feel safe and if he can’t find any- he’d make them
Other words for saying he’d be more than happy to be your safe space
Your progress or journey with your identity is one that Will is more than happy to experience with you
Even if you end up lashing out or getting frustrated- he’d be there to ground you and help calm you down
ESPECIALLY then
Even little moments of offense or hurt from others can be taken by Will and made into references to weird inside jokes
- ones that you have to keep telling him to stop making and then he continues for the pure joy of seeing you shake your head knowingly
Also if you’re on t (injection) then he’d be more than happy to help you out
Saying that as someone who’s ok around needles, but if I had to give myself a shot
Rip
Just ask your sunshine medic-at-16 bf to help you out
Because of course everyone has one of those
Also would and has scolded you if you keep your binder on for more time than you’re supposed to
You’re already running on thin ice with all the physical action demigods go through per day
I can only imagine
Yknow maybe it could serve as a sign to go schedule that top surgery appointment /hj
Hj Cuz of the state of the real world
Anyway
Leo Valdez
Honestly did not know you were trans at all when you first met (if you’ve already transitioned or not- he’s a block head)
Neither did he ever consider you as romantic partner for the very reason that you’re a guy
(Just only ever considered girls)
And yet here we are
Dating Leo is honestly just the average experience of any person
Chaotic, fun, and also dealing with the crippling traumas demigod life has offered you and refused to acknowledge when you did not want it
Which I guess could include you being trans depending on your experience
Whether you pass or not is something else and regardless you’ve faced discrimination or at least some sort of fear when revealing at one point or another to others
Which you luckily don’t encounter all that much at camp
(Considering the zest fest camp half blood is)
Let say you’re just transitioning and decide to tell Leo
He’s immediately talking about having your back and willing to listen to your new pronouns and new name (if you’d like one)
He’d be a bit awkward but not because of what’s going on rather because he uses humor all the time and refuses to make a joke out of this one serious thing
Also ☝️
He’d be the best person on this list about making you feel seen bro I’m not even exaggerating
(Idk the others seem pretty good too)
Leo and being invisible or last choice go hand in hand so the last thing he’d ever want you or anyone he loves feel- is feel unimportant
He’d want to validate your identity and make sure you’re comfortable enough to be your truest self around him
Which is honestly better than anything he could ask for
Conflicting feeling and situations are bound to arise
Whether about yourself, others or just anything really
Just talk to Leo because if not he’ll literally explode
And why wouldn’t you?
Even if he’s using humor and convos are a bit awkward- it doesn’t make him incapable of having any serious ones
So pull up a chair and talk to him when you’re having a rough day surrounding your identity
The worst thing that can happen is nothing
Because he’ll always support you and also talk about how he’s felt shitty before to atleast make you smile
That’s one continuous long term goal of his he’ll never reach
Also if you’re on t (injection) - never expect this gremlin to help out or so help us all
Nico Di Angelo
Cool. He loves you and so you’re his boyfriend now.
That’s all there is to it
I sort of see him as the type to try to not make a big deal out of your identity and stuff
Partially so you don’t feel like he’s walking on egg shells (he knows the feeling)
But also because he’s unsure of if that’s him crossing boundaries (again, because of his personal experience/ preference)
You got a new name? New pronouns? He’ll happily call you them
Again, he isn’t the type to be overly dramatic or loud with his support but he’d show it in more subtle ways
His understanding of identity and validation makes him sensitive to what you need more often than not
So even though he won’t always have the words to convey how he feels, he’s always there to listen
Also, his reassurance is always so heartfelt
Random but something to add since Nico is obviously sarcastic and can be misleading to some
Anyway
We all know Nicos trait of being over protective to those he loves so naturally it extends to you by default
If anyone would even misgender or deadname you in front of him- regardless of if it were on accident- he’d correct them without fail
Not that he makes a scene at all
His presence is already scary enough
(The books alone are proof
+ Though only done if you feel comfortable with it)
Many people experience different things but I feel like acceptance is one many people have gone through and tried to achieve at one point or another
Nico was a conservative Italian raised catholic (who is gay) from the 1930s
If someone knows about the trial of self acceptance
it’s him
So even if it’s not exactly the same- he understands the conflict that goes on and is always there to hear you out
Also you can’t tell me that he’s gotten wack ass pride/gay merch as a way of being supported by other campers when he came out
Mostly annoying ones but I digress
So as a rite of passage he’d gift you some cringe trans merch in hope of making you laugh
Something to add is that if this is more fresh Nico
Ig you could say
Then he’d be really guarded like to the max
So even though present him would be as stated as above- younger Nico would definitely be way harsher to those who offended you
I don’t make the rules
A/n: despite what’s written- my favorite is Will (length of hcs)

Ppl who support Trump dgaf abt anything other than money. They couldn’t care less about the people who are directly affected by trump’s personal allegiances against women, minorities, and queer ppl. He intends to enact policies that will harm all of those groups of people and all Trump supporters have to defend their choice is “he’ll fix the economy” even though data has shown he will make it impossibly worse. They only like him because he took credit for obama’s economy. If trump supporters weren’t bad people they wouldn’t choose to support someone who had 34 convicted felonies, and hates almost all of the people who support him. You cannot align yourself with a bad person and say you’re not a bad person because you’re not directly inflicting the harm. That’s like saying that giving a gun to a known serial killer doesn’t make you a bad person because you didn’t kill anyone. You supported his ideologies. You are, quite literally, by association a bad person. Same goes for trump’s mindless drones who will firsthand see he is just as horrible as the “woke mob” has been this entire time when they start losing their social security money, are unable to retire due to the horrible economy, and are forced to sit by and witness the de*ths and su*cides and torture of the minorities around them. America has thrived on the backs of immigrants whether they’re illegal or not. We will fall without them. Same goes for all the women who will d*e when they are unable to get lifesaving health care because trump believes the state should have the right to strip people of their rights. And that’s not even mentioning all of the queer people who will have zero access to healthcare or support or safety. Don’t you dare start yapping about how “not all trump supporters are bad people”. You voted for the rap*st, and now all the other abusers feel free to come out of the closet with their rap*st rhetoric. “Your body my choice”? Are you dense? Are you oblivious to the harm just voting him into office has done? We have taken so many steps back we have turned back the clock almost a century and you want to say they’re “not all bad”? Also let’s not forget trump supporters won’t even HAVE a conversation. It’s always “cry harder” when anyone provides any facts against them. We can have a conversation when they grow a brain. This ain’t about “different views” it’s about whether or not those people think others should have basic rights and they voted against it. Absolutely fuck trump supporters. They should 100% suffer. Disrespectfully 🩷 genuinely if you like or voted for Trump get the fuck off my blog.
hey real quick if u voted for trump and ur admitting it on tumblr dot com of all places… i hope you wake up every day with the heaviest weight on ur shoulders and never find peace, if i spoke my mind for what i actually wished for you id be shot on the spot but i truly wish unrest for the rest of your life.

So why is he standing outside of your shop on the night of his engagement party? Word Count: 5.3K Warnings: some angst, fluff, a smidgen of smut
Fic Masterlist
a/n: crying happy tears because this is the final chapter 😭 a big thank you to everyone who followed along on this journey ❤️
“Do you think I did the right thing?”
Wooyoung blinked, surprise flickering across his face as he processed your question. His ears twitched slightly, betraying his curiosity, and he tilted his head, trying to gauge the weight of your words.
“What do you mean?”
“By giving you the card to pass on to Yunho,” you clarified, voice softer, tinged with a vulnerability you hadn’t allowed yourself to acknowledge until now. You looked down, unable to meet Wooyoung’s gaze directly.
He studied you carefully, his expression thoughtful as he tried to piece together what you were feeling.
“Are you saying you regret it?”
"Here," you said, thrusting the small embossed business card towards Wooyoung. The red and white design stood out crisply against your fingertips. Wooyoung eyed it suspiciously, eyebrows raised, as if the card might bite.
"What's this for?" he asked, one hand on his hip, the other reluctantly reaching out to take the card.
You shifted, resisting the urge to pull back. "I need you to deliver it to someone," you mumbled, glancing away to hide the blush creeping up your neck. But the avoidance only seemed to encourage Wooyoung’s mischief.
"Right," Wooyoung said, drawing out the word with a sly grin. "Does this someone happen to be tall, jobless, and obscenely handsome?"
You glared at him, your face heating up even more.
"Just... give it to him, okay?"
"Alright, alright," Wooyoung said, raising his hands in mock surrender. He pocketed the card, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Way to tell him you forgive him."
You huffed, crossing your arms. "It’s not about that.”
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, boss," Wooyoung grinned. He slipped the card into his pocket, patting it for emphasis.
“I’ll make sure this ‘mystery someone’ gets your little peace offering.”
You paused, letting his question sink in. It would have been easier to answer with a simple "yes" or "no," to shut down the conversation and avoid the ache you felt creeping into your chest. But instead, you found yourself caught in the truth of it, unable to ignore the swirl of emotions stirring inside you.
“No…” you began, though your voice wavered. “It’s not that. I just… I know he’s upset with me, and I shouldn’t be feeling this way, even though I was the one who left.”
“You know, just because you made a choice doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to feel the weight of it afterward. It’s human to feel conflicted. It doesn’t make you wrong, and it doesn’t make what you did the wrong choice.”
You bit your lip, eyes tracing the edge of the wooden counter as you turned the question over in your mind. Yunho had hurt you, in ways that felt like they had carved out parts of you that you’d never get back.
The thought struck you like a whisper in the back of your mind: Hadn’t you been the one to erase him from your life? You’d been the one to choose oblivion over memories, to protect yourself from the ache of what had once been.
"He still thinks about you, you know," Wooyoung said softly, his tone holding that rare tenderness you’d only seen when he was truly serious.
Your grip on the counter tightened as you struggled to absorb his words, a familiar ache in your chest now tinged with a quiet yearning. It felt surreal—after all this time—to think that Yunho might still care. That perhaps, despite everything, he hadn't let go.
“I’ve never seen him happier than when he talks about you or hears your name. He’s still holding onto you, even if you can’t see it. And I know the wound is still fresh, but you have to believe me when I tell you—he loves you, wants to make things right.”
The sincerity in Wooyoung’s voice made you look away, blinking against the sudden sting in your eyes. Yunho loves you. You’d told yourself a thousand times not to let those words get under your skin again, to keep the walls you’d built firmly in place. But here was Wooyoung, breaking down every defense with a few simple truths you weren’t ready to face.
“It’s just...” You struggled, each word feeling like a confession. “What if it’s not enough? What if I’m still afraid he’ll hurt me?”
“I get it. You have every reason to be scared. He could have ignored that card and disappeared. But he didn’t. He’s willing to fight for you and face all of his own mistakes.”
Wooyoung’s words softened the edges of your fears, giving you just a sliver of courage you didn’t know you still had. Yunho hadn’t been perfect, but Wooyoung’s words reminded you that people could change, that maybe both of you had been hurting alone for far too long.
“Just...give yourself permission to feel it. To remember what it was like before everything went wrong. He’s not asking for everything all at once. He’s just asking for a second chance.”
You tried to recall the last time you’d truly allowed yourself to think about your relationship with Yunho—not just the heartbreak, but also the warmth and beauty of your friendship. Yunho wasn’t just a memory; he had been your best friend, your first love, the one person who understood you in ways no one else ever had.
You remembered the way he looked at you at the beach, the way his eyes held promises of a future you could almost believe in, making you think–if only for a moment–that “forever” was something within reach.
Maybe, in some ways, you were still that person—naive, trusting, willing to hand over your heart with expectations that perhaps no one could ever meet.
But were you still that person now?
So much had changed. You had changed. You had learned to protect yourself, to keep Yunho and everything he’d meant to you at arm’s length. It was safer that way—easier. If you never let him back in, he could never hurt you again.
When Wooyoung told you that Yunho, despite your rejection, still harbored immense love for you, you were stunned. Yunho's love had never wavered. Wooyoung saw it as clearly as the breath Yunho drew each day, as naturally as his heartbeat.
It was okay to feel, to take your time, to allow yourself the grace of uncertainty. You didn’t have to have all the answers or know where each step would lead. It was okay to be scared, to admit that this meant something to you.
And maybe all you needed to do was…try.
As the thought settled, muffled voices, sharp and angry, punctuated by the heavy thud of footsteps were heard from outside the door. You straightened, heart racing as you focused on the noises, feeling an unmistakable surge of supernatural energy.
“Don’t fucking touch me.”
You moved to the shop’s entrance and peered through the small window, immediately recognizing the voice.
Yunho.
He was surrounded, eyes wide with frustration and something deeper—fear. And surrounding him, dark forms shimmered in and out of sight, their twisted shapes flickering as they taunted him.
Without thinking, you threw open the door and stepped out into the night. The cold air bit at your skin, but the chill was quickly forgotten in the surge of adrenaline that took over.
“The shop is temporarily closing, so you’ll all have to wait a little longer. No exceptions!”
A chorus of groans erupted from the creatures encircling Yunho. They would have to return when the shop reopened to gather whatever trinkets were needed for Lord Death’s Night Parade.
In one fell swoop, you reached out, fingers finding Yunho’s wrist. He flinched at your touch, a brief spark of surprise in his eyes, but you didn’t let go. Instead, you tightened your grip and pulled him toward you, drawing him away from the creatures’ prowling forms.
You took a deep breath, the weight of the moment sinking in as you slammed the emporium door shut. Yunho stood beside you, breathing hard, his wrist still loosely held in your grasp. His gaze was fixed on you, eyes wide and disoriented, as if still processing what had just happened.
You loosened your grip, letting your fingers slide from his wrist with a gentleness that felt almost foreign amidst the intensity of the night. His skin was cool under your touch, and you could feel a faint tremor, as if fear and shock still held him in their grip.
“Are you alright?” you asked, voice low, each word softened by concern as the urgency of the encounter began to fade.
Yunho looked at you, his breath steadying. "I... I think so," he replied, his voice shaky. "Thanks for pulling me out of there."
“Oh…you’re welcome,” you replied gently, hoping to ease his mind even as you saw how shaken he was.
“The veil is incredibly thin right now. That’s probably why you were able to see and feel them. The other travelers, I mean.”
His presence was almost overwhelming, making your heart pound in your chest. The way his eyes widened slightly as he processed your words made you want to reach out and reassure him, to tell him that everything would be alright.
"It's... it's not something that happens often," you added, your voice softer now. "But when it does, it means the boundaries between our world and theirs are almost nonexistent."
Yunho’s expression was unreadable, his eyes fixed on you, then shifting away as if he were searching for something in the silence between you. His gaze fell to the floor, tracing patterns on the worn wood as he seemed to gather his thoughts.
The quiet stretched on, your anxiety building as each second ticked by. A thousand worries filled your mind—what he might think, what he might feel, now that he had glimpsed the world you’d become a part of.
"Why were you out there?" you finally, breaking the silence, your tone gentle, though curious.
He hesitated, searching for words as his face softened.
“I…was in the neighborhood,” he murmured, though there was an edge to his voice that suggested there was more left unsaid.
Your heart skipped a beat. You took a half-step closer, tilting your head to catch his eye, a playful smile tugging at your lips.
“In the neighborhood, huh?” you echoed, sensing the familiar warmth of his presence.
“Alright…maybe it wasn’t entirely by chance,” he admitted. His lips twitched, and he exhaled a small, resigned laugh, glancing down before looking back at you.
He lifted his hand, revealing the small, slightly crumpled business card between his fingers.
“I just wanted to see you.”
You felt the weight of Yunho’s gaze, his admission wrapping around you. It was as if all the memories you shared—moments of laughter, quiet conversations, the comfort of simply being together—were coming back to life, filling the silence around you.
Your voice came out softer than you intended, almost a whisper.
“You still wanted to see me after everything?”
“Especially after everything,” he murmured, his words carrying a quiet certainty that melted the last of your doubts.
“So you’re not…upset with me?” you asked, your voice barely audible, as if speaking any louder might shatter the delicate moment.
You’d been bracing for this moment, convinced that Yunho must be holding onto resentment, that he’d come to finally air out the hurt you must have caused him. You hadn’t given him the closure he deserved, instead choosing to leave things unfinished.
But his eyes, so achingly familiar, held none of the anger you’d feared. They were filled with something…gentler.
“Oh god, Y/N,” he said quietly, his voice calm but filled with urgency, as if he’d been waiting just as long for this moment.
“I could never be angry with you. You have every right to be upset, I was the one who hurt you. I was careless with your heart, and that’s on me. It’s my fault.”
His admission left you speechless, each word stripping away the defenses you’d built. He wasn’t here to lay blame or defend himself; he was here to own the truth of what had happened.
“You did hurt me, Yunho.”
The words came out softer than you expected, each one carrying a weight you hadn’t realized you’d held so tightly. Pain, long buried, surfaced as you finally spoke the words you’d once been too afraid to voice.
“I felt like… I wasn’t enough for you," you admitted, the ache woven through your words. "Like no matter how hard I tried, no matter how much of myself I gave, it was never going to be enough.”
The sting of tears welled up, and you drew in a shaky breath, fighting to keep them at bay. You looked down, biting back the flood of emotions, as a huff escaped you—a last-ditch attempt to pull yourself back from the edge of breaking.
“I just wanted to feel like I mattered,” you whispered. It was as if saying it out loud for the first time gave it weight, made it real, and you felt the bittersweet release of finally letting it go.
“To be the one you turned to, not the one you left behind.”
When you looked up, Yunho’s gaze was unwavering, his eyes glistening as they held yours, reflecting the pain and regret you’d both felt.
“You’ve always been more than enough. I was the one who was too scared to see it, too afraid to do what was right, to be there for you when you needed me most.”
Yunho took a step closer, his hand lifting slowly to rest on your bicep, his touch gentle, almost hesitant. The warmth of his hand seeped through you, grounding you in this fragile moment, pulling you back to a time when things were simpler, when trust between you was instinctive.
“I can live with the weight of my mistakes,” he continued, voice rough with honesty. “But I can’t live without you. I tried for three years, and every day was worse than the last. I hated it.”
He was painfully earnest, his voice tinged with the kind of regret that had its own gravity. You looked up at him, a gentle smile breaking through your otherwise solemn expression as his fingers traced gentle circles against your arm.
“I’m sorry I made you feel like you were anything less. You’ve always the best part of me. I just didn’t realize it until it was too late. If there’s even a small part of you that’s willing to try again, I’d give anything for that to happen.”
The honesty in his words made your heart ache. All those times you'd wondered if you truly mattered to him seemed to unravel before you, evident in his words, his touch, and his gaze.
You searched Yunho’s face, catching a glimmer of hope, and realized that despite the years, lifetimes, and distance, maybe…just maybe, there was still something worth saving.
“I love you," he whispered, his voice trembling but resolute. "For as long as I can remember, and for all the lifetimes I couldn’t. You’ve been mine for so long, but I want to be yours.”
Your hands reached for his, as if drawn by an unseen thread. Rising onto your toes, you leaned closer allowing Yunho to close the distance. He pulled you into a kiss that felt like a promise, an apology—everything he’d withheld and everything he longed to give. His hands settled gently on your back, holding you close, as though grounding himself in this moment.
The kiss was slow, adoring, and vulnerable, filling every empty space within you. Yunho’s lips pressed against yours, gentle and reverent, it felt like coming home, like stepping into a future you’d always dreamed of but never dared to hope for.
When you finally pulled back, breathless, you looked up at him, your heart racing. A smile tugged at his lips, and he rested his forehead against yours.
"I love you too," you murmured, your voice barely a whisper, but just loud enough for him to hear.
Yunho gently cupped your face with his hands, his thumb brushing lightly over your cheek as he leaned in for another chaste kiss. When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against yours, his breathing steady but filled with that same quiet intensity.
"Take it slow with me?" you asked, your voice a soft plea, tinged with vulnerability, putting your heart into his hands, hoping he would keep it safe.
Yunho’s face broke into a smile. Slowly, he moved his hand down, his fingers threading with yours. He held your hand between both of his, pressing a tender kiss to your knuckles.
Life in the shop had settled into a comfortable rhythm, woven with little rituals that had become second nature. Each morning, you’d light the incense, watching as tendrils of fragrant smoke curled up to fill the air, a silent invocation for another day’s mysteries to unfold.
Yunho, meanwhile, would be wrestling with the coffee maker, half-asleep as he mumbled curses under his breath, yet somehow managing to coax it into yielding two cups of strong coffee.
His work as a recruiter kept him busy. Some days were filled with back-to-back phone calls, scouting reports, and meetings with stakeholders. Other days, he’d be out in the field, his energy brimming as he made connections with future talents.
But on quieter days, when he was in the shop, he’d drift down from his makeshift office to check in on you, often caught in wonder at some relic or enchanted object before remembering his intent to whisk you away from your responsibilities.
Today of all days, though, Yunho was off to Namhae, scouting a promising player. Before he left, he had lingered a little longer, offering you a reassuring smile as if to say he’d be back before you knew it. And as the door closed behind him, the shop felt both a touch quieter and warmer, his absence a gentle reminder of the quiet home you’d built together.
“What do you think about starting a delivery service?” Hongjoong asked, pulling you from your reverie. His eyes sparkled with that unmistakable gleam, the one that always appeared when he was on the verge of something new.
You raised a brow, eyeing him with amused curiosity. “A delivery service? Are we low on customers?”
"Not exactly. But now that you can leave the shop, and with Yunho around, we actually have the manpower to pull it off."
"Something tells me…this was spurred on by Lord Death.”
Hongjoong’s cheeks reddened slightly, and he huffed, crossing his arms with exaggerated indignation.
"Seonghwa has no idea what he’s talking about! He said we wouldn’t last a week if we ever ‘ventured into the delivery business’—said I’d lose interest by day three!”
Hongjoong waved a dismissive hand, brushing off any lingering doubts. "Well, I’m going to prove him wrong. By the time we’re done, our services will be able to expand to other realms. Might need to hire another hand for that."
With a dramatic flourish, he snapped his fingers, summoning a swirling puff of smoke that quickly dissipated to reveal...a hand-drawn presentation, sketched in thick, colorful strokes. It hung midair, and you couldn’t help but chuckle at the almost childlike quality of it.
The first page of Hongjoong's plan was a roughly sketched map, barely more than a few wavy lines connecting a series of floating islands labeled "Other Realms," each island outlined in a different pastel shade. It was whimsical yet somehow serious, as though his haphazard lines could shape whole worlds. He tapped his finger on a small dot labeled “Astral Emporium.”
"This is our expansion plan. Right now, we’re here," he continued, pointing to the shop on the map, "but soon we’ll be...everywhere!"
“You really think Yunho and I are up for running around, delivering enchantments and charms to every corner of the city?”
Hongjoong chuckled, his smirk widening as he crossed his arms.
"Actually, more like Yunho and Wooyoung. You and I will rotate manning the shop, keeping things under control. All we have to do is equip Yunho with a pair of magical glasses, and he’ll be able to spot clients without worrying about the veil."
You imagined Yunho, looking unexpectedly dashing with enchanted glasses perched on his nose, pedaling a vintage bike through the bustling streets. Wooyoung would be nestled in a woven basket up front, surrounded by tiny glass bottles of potions and carefully wrapped charms, all neatly packed and ready for delivery.
“I’m sold.”
"Really?" Hongjoong’s eyes widened, sparkling with delight. The sorcerer laughed heartily, clasping his hands together in a rare moment of unbridled joy.
“Seonghwa’s going to eat his words,” Hongjoong said, his voice brimming with triumph and a gleeful satisfaction that was hard to resist.
He turned back to you. “Before I forget,” he added, casting you a sidelong glance. "You planning on visiting your parents anytime soon? Leaving magical seed packets isn’t the same as actually seeing you, you know."
The question lingered in the air, and you felt a familiar ache bloom in your chest. You shifted uncomfortably, your gaze falling to the counter as though it might offer some answer.
The last time you’d visited, it had been nothing more than a quiet spell—a small enchantment to slip through unseen, to place a few enchanted seed packets by their doorstep, enough to help your dad achieve his goal of growing the ultimate vegetable.
It was the closest you’d come to a real visit since Yunho had broken the shop’s hold on you, freeing you from its grasp and allowing you to walk the world on your own terms.
“I know,” you murmured, running your fingers along the worn edge of the counter.
"But they’ve already grieved, Hongjoong. They’ve accepted that I’m gone. It’s probably better that way. If I showed up now, after all this time…” You trailed off, your hands fidgeting as if your fingers could occupy the unsettled thoughts in your mind.
“I’d just be tearing open wounds that have barely healed. They’ve found a kind of peace, I think. I don’t want to be the one to undo that. And maybe,” you added, voice almost a whisper now,
“Maybe it’s a way for me to move forward, too.”
Hongjoong’s gaze softened, a trace of understanding settling in his expression. “I get it,” he said, his voice gentler than usual. “But remember, you don’t have to carry all of that alone. Just because they can’t see you doesn’t mean they’ve stopped loving you.”
You managed a small, grateful smile, nodding in silent agreement. For now, it would have to be enough to leave small reminders of your love—a packet of seeds on their doorstep, wordlessly expressing your affection.
The bell above the emporium’s door chimed, its familiar ring sparking an instant thrill in your chest. You turned, heartbeat quickening just a little at the sight of Yunho stepping inside. He noticed you immediately, his expression softening as he took a few easy strides toward you.
“Hey,” he greeted, voice warm and low, a tone he seemed to reserve just for you. He reached out, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. The touch was a reminder that home was here, and it was wherever he was.
“Long day?” you asked softly, your entwining with his as he let out a chuckle, nodding.
“Long but worth it,” he replied, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze. “Especially knowing I get to come home to this.” His gaze lingered on you, and even as he glanced around the shop, it was clear his words were for you. The tiredness in his expression softened, and for a moment, everything felt perfectly in place.
Hongjoong looked on, a satisfied smile playing on his lips as if he’d always known that, somehow, you and Yunho would both end up here, together, ready to face whatever came next.
And for Hongjoong, that future definitely included his long-planned delivery service.
Hongjoong cleared his throat dramatically, breaking the quiet between you and Yunho. “Well, since we’re all feeling cozy and inspired,” he said with a mischievous sparkle in his eye, “might I propose a little idea?”
He snapped his fingers, and with a soft poof, a floating, hand-drawn presentation appeared, complete with a slightly crooked title that read, “Yunho: The Delivery Driver.”
A deep chill had crept in with the early dawn, settling over you as you instinctively curled up tighter, trying to preserve whatever small warmth remained. Groggily, you reached out, fingers searching for the missing blanket, only to find nothing but the cool, empty edge of the bed.
Squinting against the morning light, you rolled over, and there he was—Yunho, cocooned in what could only be described as a fortress of blankets. He lay sprawled out, half-buried in a mountain of covers, blissfully unaware of conditions on your side of the bed.
You sighed, rolling your eyes as you tried to tug a corner of the blanket back. But Yunho shifted, clutching the fabric even tighter, as if sensing your mission in his sleep.
“Yunho,” you whispered, nudging his shoulder. “You’re hogging the blanket.”
A muffled sound came from his side, something between a grunt and a sleepy laugh. One eye cracked open, blinking groggily at you, and a lazy, mischievous smile spread across his face. Without warning, he reached out, his arms wrapping around you as he pulled you against his chest, the blanket effectively forgotten as his warmth enveloped you.
“Who needs a blanket when you’ve got me?” he murmured, burying his face into the crook of your neck.
"I'm half naked and freezing," you whined, exasperated. He smirked, his fingers tracing slow circles along your spine.
“How about I give it back if you beg for it?”
You huffed a laugh, but his hand on your back, gentle yet insistent, was quickly making you forget your original mission. He tilted his head up to meet your gaze, his eyes dark, and before you could respond, he leaned in, pressing a kiss to the corner of your mouth. Then another, closer, teasing.
“In your dreams,” you shot back, rolling your eyes as you tried to turn away, but Yunho only grinned and smoothly flipped you onto your back, pinning you gently under him.
“Y’know,” he murmured, his voice low and playful as he braced himself above you, “Dream You would’ve folded by now.”
“Oh, would she?” you replied, raising a brow, trying to feign annoyance even as your pulse quickened.
He chuckled, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. “Yeah, she tells me how much she loves it when I’m rough with her,” he teased, leaning in to kiss you again, this time deeper, his lips pressing against yours in a way that made you melt, his warmth seeping into every inch of you.
“Well she’s wrong because I love it when you wear your glasses.”
Your hands found their way to his shoulders, fingers curling as you pulled him closer, the blanket entirely forgotten as he kissed you, slow and deliberate, as though he had all the time in the world. You could feel his smile against your lips, his playful challenge lingering in every brush of his mouth.
Yunho wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling you flush against him. He ground against you, his movements unhurried, savoring every shared breath, every flicker of connection between you. The warmth of his skin against yours sent a shiver down your spine, heightening the anticipation that hung thick in the air.
Your nails lightly grazed the delicate hairs at the back of his neck, drawing a low, contented hum from him. You traced along his nape, feeling the warmth and tension melt beneath your touch as he dipped his head, his lips brushing along your jaw before trailing down to your collarbone.
Your senses heightened with each delicious drag of Yunho’s cock against your walls—the warmth of his skin, the whispered promises between each kiss. You tangled your fingers in his hair, tugging him closer, feeling the way his heart raced in sync with yours.
Every touch, every kiss, every slow, tender motion felt like a culmination of countless lifetimes. Yunho wasn’t just here with you; he was here with every version of you that had ever yearned for this closeness, for the feeling of being truly seen and loved.
And now, here he was, holding you close, as if he had always known you would eventually find your way back to each other.
Yunho whimpered your name into the curve of your neck, his movements becoming rougher, each touch and thrust a silent promise woven across time as the heat between you surged to a crescendo.
He pulled you closer, his urgency spilling over as you felt yourself unravel, swept up in the bliss that enveloped you both. His gasps blended with yours, and in the haze of it all, you were aware only of him—his scent, his warmth, and the way he fit perfectly against you.
“Love you. God I love you,” Yunho murmured softly, his voice tender and thick with emotion.
You giggled, reaching up to brush his tousled bangs from his forehead, your fingers gently tracing the lines of his face as you took in the softness of the moment. The warmth in his gaze made your heart flutter, even in the gentle light of early morning. The world outside was waking up, but here, wrapped in his arms, it felt as though time had slowed just for you both.
“Love you too,” you whispered, your voice filled with the same affection that he’d poured into his words. “But…” You grinned, tapping his nose playfully.
“You’re going to be late for deliveries.”
He groaned in protest, tightening his hold around you, as if to shield himself from the reality of a busy day waiting just beyond the sheets.
“Just a few more minutes,” he grumbled, his voice muffled against your skin. “Deliveries can wait. I’d rather stay here with you.”
You felt his breath tickling your skin and laughed softly, only to hear a loud, impatient voice call from the other side of the door.
“Y/N! Feed me, I’m dying of hunger!” Wooyoung’s dramatic tone was followed by a series of thumping sounds as he pawed insistently at the door.
"I’m going to die!" he wailed, drawing a groan of frustration from Yunho. Your boyfriend sighed, glancing at the door with thinly veiled irritation.
“I swear, he has the worst timing,” he muttered, shifting reluctantly as though debating whether to let you go. He held you tighter instead, as if Wooyoung’s complaints were some distant nuisance that could be ignored.
“Y/N!”
With a soft laugh, you planted a kiss against the tip of Yunho’s nose in an attempt to placate him. “He’s just lonely,” you murmured with sympathy for your familiar.
“He probably needs a friend to keep him occupied. He seems to be making it his mission to ruin your mornings.”
Yunho rolled his eyes, muttering something about demanding cats under his breath, but before he could say more, a dramatic wail sounded from the other side of the door.
"I’m fading away… I can see… the light…” Wooyoung yowled, his voice an exaggerated plea for attention.
“Alright, I’m coming!” you called out, with a chuckle.
With a playful smile, you pressed another quick kiss to Yunho's lips. His eyes softened, the irritation all but forgotten as you stepped toward the door. You glanced over your shoulder, catching the trace of a smile breaking through Yunho’s resigned expression.
The threads of your past lives wove delicately between you, fragile yet enduring, stronger than time itself. Fate had always teased the possibility of you together, leaving behind only fleeting traces and unfinished stories. But in this life, you had taken the first step—crossing the line, to lower the walls you had so carefully built around your heart.
For so long, you’d been bound to the shop’s mysteries and the shadows of your past. Now, you felt a sense of release, as if a tether that had held you in place had finally loosened, granting you the freedom to shape your own path. With Yunho by your side, every moment held the promise of something new, a life you could build together.
And you couldn’t wait.
a/n: it was always going to be a happy ending, I had to set it up for the epilogue hehehe 🤭

Thinking about vampires, death, life, and the space they occupy in between
#to be or not to be. that is the question#ty adam for being my model for dramatic vampire moment#musings on the thinkings about:#when to live you are required to hurt others. you must repeatedly ask yourself what the value of your life is#To sleep... perchance to dream...#ah. THERES THE RUB.#ok I actually couldnt come up with too many thoughts. I had a lot more while I was drawing this but I guess I put them in the painting LOL#reading that soliloquy and being like damn this is just like vampires#the reality of course is that the soliloquy is a debate over suicide and ultimately making the choice to live#even if just out of fear of the unknown#and vampires are about dying and then in undeath choosing to continue to live#despite the fear of eternity and loneliness and hurting others#theyre not the same. but like let me thiiink come onnnn I'm allowed to thiiink and have incomplete thoughts#I would have to write like a proper essay about this to organize my thoughts. this is the tags on a tumblr post.#anyways finished episode 79#working on patreon stickers for this month (and next month soon)#and working on book 4. taking a pause from episodes cause I've got 3 weeks of buffer now... UGH#I'm so mad that they changed it. it would have been 5 weeks before but it's fine it's whatever#anyways yeah taking a break from episodes to make my book now!#its good stuff.#and this painting is good stuff#banger after banger from me tbh#this was a little relaxing giving myself a couple hours to muse#it's necessary for my health and I always forget that til I do a painting...#I loved doing the little landscape in the background too I should do that more! I love how plants are just like whatever shape you want#like you can make up any plant you want and not only does that plant PROBABLY exist somewhere#a weirder plant exists somewhere too. so. literally whatever you want#ok bye again for a few days while I get back to work

today's hot take for dog people: management is not the same thing as training.
#dogblr#unpopular opinion: a lot of the current flavour of dog 'training' is actually just management#does your dog know how to make a good decision? does your dog know what a good decision even is?#or is your dog under such heavy management that they never ever have to make a decision on their own?#YES set your dog and yourself up for success!!!! absolutely!!!!#but (unpopular take) errorless learning is detrimental to overall wellbeing#stress is a part of life and of your dog crumples when they experience A Stress then you have a serious problem#teach resilience as a skill#dont misunderstand this on purpose#im not saying let your dog run wild unruly unmanaged#im saying train your skills and then trust your training#when it is safe to do so let your dog make a decision#(this is not in response to anyone on here#i am casual irl acquaintances with a service dog handler and i do not respect her handling/training/management#i am very frustrated with the lack of nuance between training vs management#and the beautiful space where they overlap#people who are here from Not The Dog World#management is setting up your environment so your dog makes the decision you want#eg using a long line so your dog has no choice but to come when called#training is teaching your dog to make the decision you want them to make#ideally you would use both (management while training) but the current flavour of dog training#tends to put all responsibility on you as the person#to manage your environment so the dog never has the opportunity to make a mistake#instead of training your dog so they understand what the 'right' choice is and WANT to choose that most of the time#i am braced for the deliberate misunderstandings that are likely to come out of this post#THERE IS NUANCE PEOPLE

if you think that Flint is in love with Silver is that really shipping or is that just media literacy
#okay I feel like an argument could be made either way re: whether flint is in love or not#but I also feel like there is enough evidence for that it’s just. it’s textual. he’s in love#silver on the other hand. I don’t think he’s in love with flint#I think he could’ve been. but I think#okay okay my opinions on romance are nuanced and I have to explain them to really get into this#people say that you can’t choose in relation to whom you fall in love#I say that’s half true#you can’t choose in relation to whom you form a connection#but whether that connection can be nurtured to love? that is a choice#in order to fall in love you have to let yourself. sometimes this is subconscious.#sometimes it feels like it isn’t a choice because you can’t remember choosing it#but the thing about love is it’s not a single choice. it’s a series of choices made again and again and again#and I think flint and silver had that connection. and I think flint chose to nurture that to love. and silver did not#*romantic love. that is. I would not argue that silver doesn’t love flint#but not in the same way. you know#damn check out that tags essay. anyway#this has been a post#black sails

the thing about revisit of the fight in 1x5 is that Louis started it and Louis kept it going and Louis threatened to kill Lestat but it's kicked off because Lestat put his hands on Claudia. that's what tips Louis over the edge into physical violence.
and the other thing about that fight is that Louis was not going to leave Lestat. He's not focused on trying to get away or comfort Claudia, though he is enraged on her behalf. He is trying to hurt Lestat. He can't really hurt him but he doesn't know that yet. He wants to punish him for both what he did to Claudia and for Claudia leaving in the first place. honestly knowing Louis probably for some other stuff while he's at it. he's been punishing him for seven years. But I really don't think he was going to actually try and leave him. that's so fucked up. they're so fucked up.
#something about power in relationships and how you can't put it down even if you want to#louis can do whatever he wants to lestat and on some level it doesn't count#i mean it does count but there's nothing he can actually do to physically hurt him and his ability to emotionally wound is predicated on#lestat making an active choice to stay with him#whereas louis! might not even want to leave but does it matter?#it's still lestat's choice#to let him go or drop him two kilometers#lestat gets to choose if he's going to take it or walk out the door or be the monster#but what neither of them can actually choose to do is have a real fight#either lestat restrains himself or louis is paste#cw: abuse#womp womp#press says iwtv#genuinely curious about how the show is going to handle armandaniel if they get this far because like.#the show makes the point that dating a powerful vampire#if you are not yourself a powerful vampire#would be a tightrope even if they were very kind and sane and good at being in a relationship#the power disparity is just a lot#and also our exhibits a and b of powerful vampires are like#deranged traumatized in possession of questionable relationship ethics#really primed to be absolute nightmares#which is entertaining television#and i suppose that's my answer rip everyone the torments will be continuing as scheduled#all i ask is that ghost claudia gets to do bloody vengeance#interview with the vampire
