honestly, i feel like this little conversation is them briefly acknowledging the pregnancy together. i love the shot composition here, the way it foreshadows jimmy's actions by having the mouthwash bottle cover him up. BUT ALSO...

it comes across to me as though this is less about her getting drunk and more about "would it kill/hurt the baby? and does that really matter right now with everything else going on?" which also ties in to how i don't think anya's completion of suicide was necessarily intentional, i think (based on the way she speaks to jimmy and daisuke through the door) that her intention was to Abort That Thang. she obviously knew the risk and that she could die as well but i'm not sold on the fact that she was simply going to kill herself.

she also doesn't give jimmy a chance to say much in response--he gets out "right" and she instantly topic switches to the medicine locker in the hallway. jimmy's extremely mild about all of this because like. he's had time to think about the pregnancy situation. Obviously. it's just interesting to me that he is so horrified of the pregnancy while anya is trying to find ways to cope with it. and they both have to go through every single day post crash knowing that it exists and is there. ughhhhh idk where im even going with this i just. WHY DOESNT ANYONE TALK ABOUT THE WAY THESE TWO INTERACT????? it's so fucking interesting and i'm so tired of all portrayals detailing how "scared" anya is of jimmy--jimmy's the one afraid of anya. anya simply deals with jimmy and only really gets Scared of him if he starts acting like a freak. on a base level they do just kind of get along.

so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

Dream seeing someone try and eat an apple and resisting the primal urge to slap it out of their hand because it's just so ingrained in him to stop people from eating the apples that it just carries over to the regular fruit bc they look similar enough, even worse if the apple is a golden delicious or something.

You know, I would love it if we get to see shadows medical failure guilt expanded on, it makes sense he would have a lot , he has a lot of deadly, raging guilt inside of him, survivors guilt, creation guilt, the guilt of past mistakes that almost destroyed entire planets ect, and the guilt of failing someone you were medically responsible for. I want too see that guilt of failure expanded on, Shadow is the ultimate cure, he sees himself as a tool, a weapon, a twisted distortion of a miracle for someone else, a creation to surpass all else for no one but his friend, pushing himself through endless tests, doing anything he was told to do for the sake of his only friend, his best friend, the only true friend he’d know for a long time. The weight of pressure and anxiety crushing him out of fear of failing Maria , not being able to save her from the conditions she faced, not being able to cure her, not living up to the only worth he was created to have. I want to see that expanded on , I want to see how absolutely crushing that guilt of failure is, during their time on the Ark, and the awful , doubled up guilt of the aftermath , the guilt of it all rooted in his most familiar failure. its a important part of his story, and I for one would love to see it expanded on .

i know this has been discussed ad nauseam, but i'm doing research for a meta, and i'm slowly realizing that i will never ever be over the Good Omens Lockdown dialogue. especially that line towards the end (begins at the 02:50 minute mark):

first, the unabashed expression of a desire to be near Aziraphale is so rarely evident (i mean, we have 1967 and other instances, but in the case of '67, an outsider could more easily—i guess??—interpret offering him a lift home as an expression of gratitude for the holy water). so, to witness his clear, unveiled desire for comfort and closeness (and to literally just watch Aziraphale eat cake) demonstrates the interpersonal progress made in the time after Armageddon't; he's not concealing the offer behind some flimsily-constructed reason (e.g., "I just didn't want to see you embarrass yourself"). in fact, he's implying that they'd be spending long lengths of time together ("hunker down", "a case of something drinkable"). and then Aziraphale's response is also really interesting, and kind of exists as a microcosm of their whole push-and-pull dynamic that has existed for literally thousands of years (begins at the 02:59 minute mark):

Personal headcanon about the "you picked the wrong dellamorte" line, I don't think illario actually likes rook outside the context of them being someone close to lucanis. Like rook on their own isn't much to him, but when they meet it's yet another person talking about his cousin (why isn't he good enough for whatever job they're hiring for?) and on top of that they somehow bring him back from the dead (another whole can of worms for illario). Now he starts turning on the charm, but whether he's actually interested or this is just one more thing his cousin has that he doesn't and it gets under his skin, who knows. Either way, rook ignores illario, the guy who lives off his charm, and is instead interested in the guy who's never even dated before and thinks giving someone a knife is how to flirt. Infuriating
