Cartoon Network and the 2010s tapped into a very primal urge in like 8 to 12-year-old boys. That urge being weapons that are also fashion accessories. I mean think about it grass sword from Adventure Time, Generator Rex's whole vibe, deep cut but Bravest Warriors sticker pet things, The goat THE MOTHER FUCKING OMNITRIX. Like please I want more of this. I need more things that give the school just handed out slap bracelets or I'm pretending my mother's hair clip is a laser cannon please.

PRIME------

Top left mini comic: when extremely exhausted and stressed from a long battle. He sustains an injury during battle from an energy cannon but feels none of it. Turns out energy blasts all this time not having too much of an effect on him was because the heratige.

The group doodle: (the four of them hang out often) not much lore behind this except after transforming really often within short amount of time, he gets extra glowy. His skin is trying it's best to contain him. Rook is fully aware of what's happening while Ester and Rayona are amazed and concerned (when is anyone not when it comes to the watch bearer)

Bottom left: how he wouldve looked in full anodite form pre explosion in "the new dawn" finale.

Left full body: him after omniverse's finale. The image of his arm being all starry after reverting stuck with me and boom there's one of my most important headcannons(lmk if y'all wanna hear me blab about that one)

Mini thing below the fullbody is the pose he pulled trying to shield himself from the anihlarg explosion.

GWEN 10 AU------

Right full body:more turquoise color when calmer or not brimming with energy. The large star shape on the chest indicates a young anodite hybrid who awakened rather aggressively. Blasting their very form to smitherines abruptly.

Right top corner: color potential palettes. High energy. Being a full anodite in this au he toys around with the normal limits of his humanoid anodite form. This freaks out ppl.

Him and Julie before he lost his skin during the highbreed finale in alien force.

All the anodites in their fulls.

- Verdona is magenta and has a hints of teal. She's the least humanoid in appearence. She's got spikey bits of mana protecting her around her shoulders and occasionally anywhere else she seems nice at that moment.

- Sunny is indigo and is little more humanoid sporting curved horns since she thinks they're cute and can add dangly jewelry.she has a wrap like skirt that blends into her not really there legs. She has floating solid shapes of mana circling around her neck.

- Gwen the most humanoid teal one. She has double layer of horns that appear like cat ears. She's the only one to have inherited the dual color from verdona. She can be spotted with a lion like tail at times.

- Ben the green one with short horns. He's somewhat humanoid like Gwen but leans more into things he thinks are cool. He plays with his form alot. Has a jellyfish like poncho and coils. Sometimes has ribbon like arms instead.

Verdona(and her sister for sunny)passed down mermaid/aquatic like traits(Gwen's ripples like water/Sunnys mermaid like legs/ Ben's jellyfish traits and all three having webbed hands.) plus a heart like facial markings,Though it's reversed on Sunny.

Drawing Explanation (Image Text) Below the Cut

Born Anodite = Was Born to only (an) Anodite Parent(s), so was born in their Anodite form

Anodite-Hybrids = Anodites with one non-Anodite Parent, can either be born as the species of the non-human parent, or the Anodite parent

"The Spark" = for Anodite-Hybrids, the potential for them to unlock their Anodite Abilities, most Anodite-Hybrids have a 50% or less chance of unlocking their abilities, and those who show potential at birth are considered blessed with strong powers. For Born Anodites, it just refers to the source of their powers internally, ignoring that they can absorb energy around them.

Standard Anodite "Purple/Pink"

A Born Anodite will almost always appear as this color at birth

An Anodite-Hybrid usually only ever unlocks this color, it's incredibly rare for them to be able to appear as the other colors on the spectrum

Anodites tend to chose to appear in this from, to avoid conflict with other Anodites over perceived power differences

Red/Orange Anodite

The most stable and long-lived of Anodites

The weakest in power, in order to do high energy moves they have to store their power for a long time

Tend to be first or second generation Anodites, as many of them came into existence shortly after the Big Bang

Yellow Anodites

The most common form for Anodites, their power is the average power level for an energy being

Towards the end of their lives, they tend to shift towards the Red/Orange color spectrum

Blue/White Anodites

One of the rarest kinds of Anodite, they burn hot and bright

Strongest and deadliest attacks, capable of destroying whole star systems

Usually unless they're contained with special blockers, they release stupidly high levels of radiation and are dangerous to be around

Shortest lifespan of all Anodites, when they are close to death they tend to explode brilliantly and end up a brown color.

Brown Anodite

A Born Anodite who fails to produce their own power is usually called a "Failed Anodite"

They can ignite "The Spark" if they are fully submerged in high energy sources like Supernovas, Magnetars, Pulsars, or Neutron Stars, and become a Standard Anodite in appearance. However their powers will tend to be on the weaker side of the Yellow Anodite spectrum, or they will have Red/Orange Anodite levels.

Incredibly Rare, and are discriminated against by other Anodites, they tend to be abandoned at birth unless their parent(s) decide to try and ignite "the spark"

Blue/White Anodites can end up looking similar to them at the end of their lives, but they are still treated as Blue/White Anodites socially.

Black Anodite

The Boogie-Man of Anodites, supposedly they can no longer produce their own energy so they subsist on stray particles in the depths of space. Basically Zombies.

Doodle Explanations

Hair

Typically Anodites will have 5 distinct tendrils for their "hair", like a star

If an Anodite has short hair, it grows and develops those five tendrils as they activate their powers.

Anodites can be bald but it's incredibly rare, and usually artistically speaking is linked to stories of Black Anodites.

Face

The darker coloration on Anodite faces, their "mask", varies in shape from family unit to family unit

Anodites do not have mouths naturally, they communicate telepathically. When interacting with lesser lifeforms they will form a mouth in order to speak.

Verdona is a Yellow Anodite, Gwen never actually unlocks any other color, but if she's using spells she can boost her powers to match that of a Blue/White Anodite, much to Verdona's pleasure.

Sunny is a Born Anodite, her family moved to earth when she was young and they all pretended to be humans, hence why Gwen and her family didn't know the Anodite thing. They moved to earth because Sunny was a Brown Anodite, and they being loving and attentive parents wanted to get her away from the bullying back on Anodyne. Sunny later on as a teen ignited her "spark" and has a power level of a Red/Orange-cusp Yellow Anodite. This is why she has such a grudge against Gwen, as Gwen not only developed a spark later on, but became super powerful.

If we're going on the Anodite!Ben path, Ben is a Blue/White Anodite much to Verdona's horror. However due to him not only not activating his powers until he was 13, plus not really going out of his way to use them, his lifespan is probably closer to that of a Yellow Anodite.

If an Anodite appears as any other color it's usually due to some external influence. If Anodite!Ben still has the Omnitrix, he'd probably be more green shifted, but still a White/Blue Anodite in form.

When Lucius was a child his dream job was to be a rockstar, he like the explosions and cheers.

He does hero stuff which does have some explosions and people cheer for him saving them so yeah they line up.

power fantasy

(thinking a lot about bens relationship with his human body. i like uaf trying to assert that ben was still strong and capable w out the watch, but i think it loses an aspect of his character that was always important, that being ben finding himself inadequate and weak in his human form and overusing the watch to escape it. i think thats why the feedback arc hit so hard, bens hatred of himself and his past over something that was never his fault, all stemming from his hatred of his human body. i personally interpret the feedback arc as less of a drug addiction metaphor [which if it is was pretty shittily written] and more of becoming consumed by what youre not. that theme with ben is most of the reason i relate to him and project on to him as a fellow transexual)
