"I would recommend to not scratch any of your limbs."
He told the boy with a slightly concerned frown
sorry for calling you silly good sir 👉👈
*begins fidgeting with bracelets uncontrollably*
"'Tis no problem... though I find myself confused as to why you did"
The man said with a slight confused frown. He catches the stranger fidgeting with his bracelet, but decides not to comment on such

"Well... that is quite peculiar. Nevertheless, you should stop scratching your wrist, else you damage it further than just the skin"
He told the strange boy with a tiny bit of concern in his voice.

"Uhm... excuse me?"

Jonathan blinked surprised and then just shrugged and walked away

Jonathan smiled "I appreciate you worrying abt him, he needs such friends as you, regardless of your disagreement." He told her honestly.
To be honest Jonathan was relieved that he was not the only person who worries about Frederick and misses him.

Jonathan laughed a little
"May I join you, then? I just worry about him, that is all." He asked her with a small laugh and a pat to the soldiers shoulder.
He did take her seriously, as he did every soldier here, but the relief of not being ignored and / or met with anger stole a small laugh from the man

Jonathan cursed under his breath and followed the soldier, but stopped outside the tent. It didn't feel right to intrude in someones privacy.
"Hayes?"
He called into the tent. It was quite the silly sight, a soldier talking with a tent.
"I do not know what exactly has happened between you, but I know m-... I know Kenneth. He best handles his inner turmoils alone. I agree, it was foolish of him to run to the enemy, but what is done is done." He spoke with conviction. He knew Frederick. He knew him better tha some others here, so he knew the reason for leaving. "I need to clear my head" the farm boy has said. "Understand, I need to leave else I will not function properly, neither as friend, nor as solider" he had begged for Jonathans understanding, for his approval.
"I believe he shall return. He would be foolish not to. Not after-" he cut himself off.
Not after the confession from which Frederick walked away, distant, in his head?
Not after Jonathan had begged him to return, to stay, to not die or get wounded, to return in one piece to Jonathan, to which Frederick only slightly reluctantly, but still enough to instill a fear into Jonathans heart and mind, agreed?
He sighed.
"I shall hope he will return. I know nothing, but I know he considers you close to a brother. Such a quarrel should not be a permanent stepping stone for you, not with him."

Jonathan sighed frustrated "this fool!" He almost groaned
"You are correct, he is not a coward, however he does prefer to deal with the things bothering him alone, 'tis quite frustrating, especially when he chooses to go into the enemy encampment to do so" he explained with a bizarre mix of frustration and fondness in his voice

"yes he has.." his expresion turned thoughtful
"Did he not tell you? I thought he told you." He said with a frown, but a fond shine was also entering his eyes as he thought about the farewell he had given the boy and vice versa

"Oh, Mr. Hayes. To what do I owe the pleasure?" The man asked gently with a slight shake from the cold, seeing as he didn't have his quite effective cloak with him. Which was quite the loss.

I am not too sure if he really did curse your name, since I did not understand what he was saying
But he seemed very besides himself and quite angry and also a bit... sad? Betrayed? I could not make it out clearly
@cathy-joseph-hayes Mr. Hayes, do you maybe know what has happened to Frederick, since he has been drinking excessively and has also been more recluse than I am used of him.
You are closely acquainted with him, therefore you must know what has caused this shift in his person. I ask you to please tell me what has caused this, since I am genuinely concerned about my this boy.
