merlin’s secret being a visual thing. when he is around arthur or gwen or leon or morgana or [insert whatever character here] merlin seems pale and thin, almost like a ghost or an apparition. when the sun lands on him he reflects it like a corpse, he eyes seem dark and dull. he has this ethereal beauty to him, this otherworldly visage that leads many to believe he is of fae blood. he just doesn’t seem to be 100% human. but when he is ONLY with lancelot or gaius (cough or gwaine bc gwaine DEFINITELY knew) merlin is heartachingly human. merlin shines in the sunlight, colors are brighter and more vibrant around him, and his smiles are wide and his laughs are boisterous. he takes on color and leaves everyone wanting to know him. but when other join in or interact with the two, merlin shifts before their eyes so quickly and suddenly that they aren’t sure whether or not what they saw was a trick of the light. the idea still leaves them wanting more and wanting to see the merlin who is just so full of life but that merlin only appears for a small select group of people. merlin who has a guard so high that it has an effect of other’s perception of him.

i have to come to terms with the fact that I am actually well off for someone in this country now, like.. idk it's weird

i'm still living the exact same lifestyle that i was before, so for the most part it feels almost like nothing has changed, like maybe im spending a little bit more money on food and buying the "good" toilet paper, but all that does is allow me to actually have savings in my bank account

i still stand with the working class and impoverished people of this country, and I am very much still in the boat of "one [very] bad day from homelessness" so i am not taking this for granted whatsoever

i've just been watching some of those youtube channels where they interview random people all over the country and just like.. kinda show what their life is like and it's definitely putting mine in perspective

very very grateful for the opportunities i have had and very proud of myself for forcing myself to stay in college (even tho it took almost 10 years to finish and left me with a mountain of debt) and just like.. idk, i feel like i could be doing more to help people out, i can't wait til im out of debt ;o;

The Amaxine Station

The latest Crimson Dawn brought back Snokes haunt from The Rise of Kylo Ren. The Amaxine Station. A place that Snoke described as built to be an oasis of light within the shadow.

However, the Archivist, in the past, called it dark. It's already well established at this point, the plants are very well grown if not overgrown. However it is missing the death that TRoKR brings into it.

Why this vastly different view point on what it is? Snoke is a known liar. Is he lying here, is it another manipulation to sway Kylo to the dark side? By trying to say it is a natural state of being?

Or is he being honest, the dark is something that just exists, which is in line with the Knights of Ren view that the Force 'just is'.

Theory time: The next issue of Crimson Dawn will show us the releasing of the being within the Fermata cage (Apparently very dark, and hungry for life energy). Palpatine calls it sith, but is it actually sith or does Palpatine call anything he thinks as 'dark enough', sith? He also apparently had no idea about the existence of this place. Despite it being a dark place (according to the Archivist). In fact, his first preference was to just blow it up with the Archivist on it, but a slight delay makes him change his plans.

We know the Crimson Dawn is going to fail, but to what extent? A lot of people are about the die, and the station takes a battering, judging by its appearance in TRoKR and the amount of bones around.

What if the being inside the cage is released, it is destroyed, but a part of it is kept by Palpatine who can see its uses? What is part of this dark energy being is used to create Snoke, and that's why Snoke is here and why he describes it as a place which he is very fond of? As it's pretty much where he grew up. The beginnings of his fail safe in case his plans with Anakin go awry.

Snoke is already implied to have been created using multiple sources, we have seen what looks like failed attempts at creating Snoke in the Darth Vader comic. What if the Amaxine station is Snokes actual 'birth place' and part of him comes from an ancient being, which fits in with the pre-TLJ theories of Snoke being very old?

And the difference in what the Archivist says about the station and what Snoke says... The Archivist calls it dark, but it's pretty much just a bunch of plants. Is life inherently dark? I think that was implied by Luke before who seemed to believe that babies are all born with some darkness in them, when Leia was worried about Ben, and he himself was not concerned. Snoke even talks about how dark is the natural state of things. Manipulation or no, that matches the Archivists view on the place. Though we still don't know why it was created.

And the big question, why would Palpatine let it continue to exist after the battle, when his original plan was to destroy. His mind completely changed. And much later, Snoke, a being he worked with/had as a puppet, lived there.

Bits of this dark being survived this battle, and Snoke is a fascimile of it. Palpatine finally saw a way to create the sort of being he wanted (Clearly didn't want a straight up powerful clone otherwise why not just clone Anakin or Luke). As far as we know, Snoke was only created to do Palpatines bidding without anyone knowing Palpsy still existed. A big part of that was to get into Kylos mind from birth. His previous clones kept failing. The dark being inside the Fermata cage is the missing piece of Snoke that he needed for it to succeed. Snoke was grown at the Amaxine station to absorb this energy.

The Archivist is telling a story about the Crimson Dawn, but mostly perhaps she is actually telling the story of what led to the creation of Snoke.

(Maybe. I suppose we will find out next month)
