“Luke will be looking for us,” Tai pointed out, though it wasn’t a protest, not given the way he took Ben’s hand and followed without a second thought.

“It’ll be fine,” Ben assured him. “We’re the best anyway. Missing one lesson won’t matter.”

Tai shook his head as they hurried away from the main room of the temple, but he was smiling widely. “I’m with you, Ben.”

The words warmed Ben’s heart more than they probably should’ve and he squeezed Tai’s hand slightly as he led them to a storage closet, surely the last place Luke would ever think to look for them. Even in the Force, they’d be largely lost in the Force presences of everyone else in the temple. It was the perfect plan.

There, in the privacy of the closet, they could truly enjoy each other, free from prying eyes and minds. Ben’s hands on Tai’s face, Tai’s in Ben’s hair, and their lips locked together, only parting from trying to devour each other long enough to breathe and readjust when necessary. Their bodies were intertwined and their minds connected through their bond in the Force. In this moment, they were as close to being one person as two people could possibly be, yet even then, it felt like they still weren’t close enough, limited by the necessity of flesh.

Though thoughts were all but impossible, the two of them too lost in each other to manage that, Ben knew one thing: no matter what happened, what Luke said, what anyone tried, Ben would never let anyone take Tai from him. Ben was no longer complete alone and he could never imagine having to live that way again. Feeling Tai so close, both physically and mentally, he couldn't help but deeply hope he would never have to try to.

“We need to go to Galamia,” Kylo said, his tone brokering no arguments.

“But sir,” Pryde began, clearly choosing his words carefully, “that system is cycles away. If we go now, surely-“

The air thickened with the Force, a threat at Pryde’s neck cutting him off. “Allegiant General, are you questioning my orders?”

“No, no, of course not, Supreme Leader. May I ask what the objective is?” Pryde, to his credit, did not reach for his throat or even try to adjust his collar.

Kylo relaxed the Force. “Have you heard of the stripe-breasted sparrowhawk of the Outer Rim?”

Pryde shook his head, so Kylo continued, “It was only described a handful of times, the location of their planet lost. Some thought it was merely a myth, a fanciful tale intended to make a fool of those who tried to find it. No one has been able to confirm their existence in over one hundred years. But I have information that suggests Galamia is this lost planet. An underdeveloped world, a place where they could easily go undocumented for over a century. I must see for myself if this information is accurate.”

Pryde managed to control his expression and largely hide his resignation - Kylo was somewhat impressed by that. “Of course, sir. We will set course immediately.”

He left, then, presumably to do as ordered. Kylo was pleased. Having the First Order’s resources at his beck and call had really assisted with his life list. He’d crossed so many species off of it, travelling to all sorts of remote regions to see rare and hard to document birds. Now he was possibly going to see a species that no one alive ever had, a bird many weren’t even sure was real. He’d always believed, though, and since taking the mantle of Supreme Leader, he’d had agents scouring the galaxy for information on it. And now he just may have found it.

Kylo smiled to himself as he felt the ship jump to hyperdrive. The First Order was his to use as he wished and he was going to do whatever it took to achieve his goals. Soon. Soon he would see the stripe-breasted sparrowhawk with his own eyes, no matter how many planets they had to travel to or how far out they were.

Kylo, post-TFA, having to be very careful with how he sleeps at night as to not aggravate his shoulder, often finding himself waking in agony at all hours of the night.

Phantom pains along one side of his face in cold weather, reminding him that he almost lost his eye.

Needing to be careful with what he eats, lest it cause him issues since the wound in his side.

eco-facism is a term used by right wing to shame people into not caring about the environment.

i have seen this term thrown towards the most basic factual comments of 'Human agricultural expansion has had an affect on the survival of this bird species' and other similar shit than i have seen actual good discussions on what this term means.

🫓 What is your most popular fic? The ren/ben a/b/o by far haha, people be horny https://archiveofourown.org/works/36229108 and then the 2nd highest is the other renben a/b/o but surprisingly nearly tied 2nd with puppet on a string which isn't a/b/o but still renben. really didn't realise that one was nearing 1k hits too 🍠 How long does it take you to write one of your fics or a chapter/part? So often what will happen is i get a bit of an idea, i write maybe 3 paragraphs max. then it sits away and i spam to KTP about all sorts to do with it and then maybe a year later i will just siddenly finish it. That was what happened with the latest fic. Sometimes but rarely i get an idea and just write it. Often when in an actual writing mood i try to just finish something then but that's incredibly rare. 🍱 Do you read your own fics? no. does anyone?
