You know I settled on putting Mello in prison for half a year post-canon as a part of Near's deal, right? I just had the very bad afflatus that Matt and Near very likely shared a flat while Mello is away. God, imagine............

Please I beg, can I hear your thoughts on them sharing a flat?

In my head, Matt would think "oh fun yeah lets do it!" but getting so damn pissed so quickly

They have some good times binging series and playing video games and they for sure smoke some pot together and Matt can help Near with work etc

But I imagine Near gets rather clingy cause he feels like having a friend for the first time and feels like all the doors are open for him now and he invades Matt's privacy and comfort zone a bit too aggressively

Also shit like Near throwing a fit over how the spoons are always a mess in the drawer!!! put them away correctly >:((((

He makes a fuss about literally anything that's just Matt's comfort zone

“I don't think you should have another beer it's bad for your liver-”

And Matt is too insecure to set boundaries

Matt is stay-at-home per default but Near makes him leave the house

L is in columbo, as columbo. misa is in a sabrina carpenter song and rem is in a chappell roan song. to ryuk this is all the three stooges. soichiro is in taken and matsuda is in brooklyn 99 and aizawa is in disco elysium. this is mikami's silence of the lambs and you're living in it. mello will either make this whole situation into twilight or die trying, and near? well. near is in death note.
