Valtor specifically tells the Trix to back off because HE wants to be the one to fight bloom#2) the episode before that he asks questions about her (and only her; even though he has more powerful enemies to worry about)#demonstrating curiosity about and interest in her#3) that same episode (or the one before; can’t remember) is their infamous first meeting#where time LITERALLY slows down as the pass each other on the stairs#they get IMPACT FRAMES#the whole color palette changes!!!#idk about u but I eat that shit up. love the drama of it all no one does it like them#I’m gonna skip all the instances where Valtor is spying on Bloom through his little scrying spell because oh god who has the time#let’s go straight to Bloom#if I had a week I would not be able to collect all the moments where she growls his name in pure fury and single-minded determination#she gets a little bit obsessed with him over the course of the season and I personally think that’s very sexy of her#Bloom is known for her tunnel vision when it comes to her past and origins and Valtor's existence fits PERFECTLY into that#it ties in neatly with her overarching story of the past 2 seasons#literally PERFECT foils#which always makes for the juiciest stories#4) she singles him out for a duel in the museum episode#5) she can literally feel his presence#6) the mere mention of his name sends her into her weird faux enchantix#of course there’s no romance in canon but there’s TENSION AND CHEMISTRY which is all u really need for a ship#all their animosity and bad blood is what makes it so INTERESTING to wonder how they COULD work. it’s the spice that makes for good fanfic!

who up seeing their disorder in a fictional character but feel like its not their place to put a name on it
#id have to be waterboarded before i can talk abt how i see a lot of my adhd and personality in mitsumi iwakura let alone post it#idk how to talk abt this without feeling like im talking over or invalidating ppls experiences relating with a character#someone was talking abt how ppl tie laios' autism to special interest and social difficulties but not much else which kinda flattens it#and then went into a respectful in depth analysis of other autistic behaviour that laios exhibits and it wasnt phrased meanly#its fascinating and important to me to hear someone explain a little bit abt traits that they recognized and often go overlooked#because it does help me learn more about it. but i think thats also where hesitancy kicks in when it comes to depicting it accurately#like i have adhd and some of my adhd symptoms overlap with autism (time blindness and pattern seeking behaviour) but that only means#it feels familiar to me even without having autism. on top of that traits arent always cleanly determined as being /caused/ by#a disorder. to understand my environment i compare it to something unrelated but similar to make it more familiar and for the longest time#i thought that was a personality thing and not an information processing thing since i loved playing pretend in my head as a kid#so if you make a character who experiences that hoping to reach people that also experience that and tell them its not weird or#smth youre making up like. thats the goal. ppl who dont get it arent expected to it just means it doesnt cater to them but it helps them#become familiar to it yk? since i dont have autism myself i dont feel confident i can depict it properly or explain it in my own words#but that doesnt mean im trying to dismiss it or try and cut it out completely.. ill just leave the floor open to someone who /can/#a lot of issues around fanon depictions are when smth is baselessly popularized or a characters personality and behavior is flattened#especially to fit them into a trending meme. its harmless and its supposed to be for fun but it gets tricky when you drag things that#need to be carefully explained beforehand or else it gets lost in translation. like that tweet abt 'hyperfixating' on cooking pasta#once it becomes popular language usually the original meaning is left out for the sake of simplifying it for everyone that when it#circles back theres a sort of hesitancy like. am i using it the way it was intended or am i unknowingly using the popularized version of it#actually thats probably why i felt wrongfooted during diagnosis bc it felt like i was misusing the words i heard to describe what i felt#i /know/ i see a lot of myself in mitsumi because our minds are always somewhere else and we tend to put good faith first and for me#that personal connection is enough. but idk it feels like its always gonna have to be 'palatable' first before i can talk abt it openly#mad respect to writers and creators who stick to their story even if theres the looming fear of ppl misinterpreting it and letting them#have it.. its been almost 2 weeks and i am so close to deleting that m3 dunmeshi drawing bc ppl keep saying chilchuck wouldnt have 200 HP#IT LITERALLY SAYS I MADE IT WHILE WATCHING EP 1. of the skz stuff i've watched so far this comeback, i.n and seungmin on lets eat, seungmin on eunkwang's show and chan on young k's show a month back really are some of my faves and i know you will go Oh well of course seungmin poster, you would think that but it's really because they actually did talk about things and it was more than a parade of wow stray kids got #1 on billboard and i like seeing that!
#like the chan young k one was great bc hearing from him about lil maknae chan and seeing the maknae come out was just inherently funny#then with i.n and seungmin like seeing them doing a different style of thing with the in character improv comedian and actually playing off#him was very fun. like they could have sent them there for no reason nothing to promote and it'd still be as enjoyable#than with the eunkwang show like yeah part of it is fun seeing them interact again but he actually talked to seungmin about other stuff?#like yeah i actually do enjoy hearing that jeongin is scared in the passenger seat and lee know and changbin make fun of his driving#evidently skz work so much that he didnt have a huge amount of stories to tell but their chemistry filled in the blanks#idk i just like when they get spoken to like people who are also idols rather than like they're demi gods or something lol#im gonna watch han and chans one today too that looked good#changbin on hyoeons show too that one was also really fun#its also fun seeing them do stuff solo or in pairs#like human idol theatre is always fun but we see them as a group of 8 all the time

I wonder if I'm getting a bit sick of star wars
like there are the things that make me happy about it, especially obi-wan and the prequels and tcw but also like
I'm frustrated about what they did with ahsoka, and then I'm also just not finding fic that I can vibe with and the fandom just feels so…empty?
which is wild because it's definitely got bigger since I joined, but idk, it just feels like in the obi-wan fandom circles, it just feels like it's shrinking. and I think part of it is everyone being really busy with irl things (myself included) and then whatever is left in the sw fandom in general is just stuff i don't vibe with
but then I keep seeing it over and over and over again so now it's just irritating to me
like. yeah there are ships/tropes that I don't vibe with at all and I usually try to steer clear of them when looking for fic to read, but these days it feels like that's all I can find. so now I'm frustrated and tired and not really getting the fic fix that I want
and normally my solution to this is to just write what I want to read, but I don't have the mental space to do it, so I'm just. stuck.
a part of me feels bad to complain about this, but idk I'm gonna put it out there anyways. it's just like the fandom feels completely different than it did when I first joined, or even like 2-3 years ago, and I'm not sure if I'm happy about it.

also, about carmillas control of her vampirism, while it's hot to think about, i dont think fangs actually come out during sex. like in the s3 scenes where shes actually still a vampire that we dont get to see but i dont think that happens
based on my inferences that the losing control of the vampirism happens mostly bc of anger/threat and it basically never happens atlaura and i think one of her worst fears is hurting laura, i think during sex is the least likely time for any loss of control like that
+ theres the fact that laura is the bitey one during sex, even with human teeth

idk i do think if i’m totally honest w myself my biggest draw to being a director is that i get to put my fave actors in situations. like it is abt that relationship and trust to me + then i get to go here’s a Situation to have fun with and for the reasons they r my fave actors they go holy shit! fun!
#is this coherent. i love directing sm#i just really really really can’t wait for when i have the money and reputation to take on projects that i trust with people that i trust#it is not just abt this i am mostly reminiscing/hoping for the future#but also he sent me an ‘Idk im just stoked to work on it with you’ text abt understudying and king like. u don’t know how many of my shows r#- just an excuse to work with my actors on the characters and themes they care most abt#and this is it for him! which is v exciting. even if it’s still a disappointment overall#i just like. sort of realized recently that for me the Thing w directing is being able to create opportunities for people whose creative#- sensibilities i trust to tell the stories already inside of them#and sometimes that is abt a story i have too. but its a good 50/50 split#it HAS to be shared like it needs to be. and it needs to come from a place of care#man idk how i’m gonna get employed out of school but i will get to a place i have the autonomy/authority to do this my way if it kills me#ted talks

made the realization my vampire story would work best as a video game and now i can't stop thinking about it
#personal#like. vtm meets cyberponk. do you understand#it would be very focused on prioritizing... because you do play as a fully established character#but you get a bunch of jobs to take care of and you have to decide what you do first and most importantly how you solve it#you can combine certain jobs to do at once to save yourself time and effort but everything you do comes with consequences#if you ignore a problem for too long or deal with it poorly it will come back to bite you in the ass later. you can lose friends and such#basically you have it all from the start and then gradually like. work your way towards a single ending#locking yourself out of other paths because of the choices that you make etc etc and so on#friendships can help you out but they can also get in the way of other things so you have to think about like#how far you're willing to let yourself get distracted. but also no distractions is also a bad way to go at it because you'll end up alone#it would have a wide variety of endings but i suppose the 'canon' one would be the one where everything works out#because of the whole already established character thing. and also this is not real this is my story so i can do what i want#if it was an actual video game it wouldn't have a canon ending but it's never gonna happen so i can say it has a canon ending#but yeah you can play as heavenly the vampire hunter or as sun the vampire and then you get cool vampire abilities :]#i do like the idea of romance availability but they're different depending on who you play as#valentine can be romanced by both but he's a little brat so idk if you'd want that#isaac can only be romanced by heavenly because isaac is a gay man. valeska can be romanced by sun only because#valeska and heavenly are exes. so you can have a one night stand with her as heavenly and then she ghosts you LMAO#you can go into clubs... you can play carousel with npcs. it would be a very immersive experience#if you hang out at certain clubs too much then other vampire factions will be warier of you when you visit their club instead#you can forge alliances to be allowed into certain areas in town. you can disguise yourself. you have to hide your weapons#there's actual ways you can research locations or people involved in gigs so you can prepare yourself properly and potentially like#learn new things that open up a new way to deal with a situation#sometimes you have to wait until nighttime to be able to go somewhere because it's quieter around those hours. or vice versa#sometimes you have to wait a few days before someone can meet with you but if you miss the meeting you have to reschedule#and then you have to wait even longer. and some quests don't give you that much time so then you'd have to improvise#being spotted in a location can be dealt with by wiping security footage / killing the person who saw you. or just reloading your save#but if you've been spotted and you don't take care of it then that will ALSO have consequences. etc etc and so on#difficulty level in the game would determine how generous the game is surrounding stealth / time for quests / resilience of the guy you pla#and it wouldn't like. necessarily turn enemies into bullet sponges because that's lazy. it's much more fun to change other things

need to remind myself that while damien only has one arc focused on him in post-ph so far, there’s like only a handful of actual arcs planned rn and his is probably currently the most detailed and interesting of them
#most planned bc i think its just a neat premise and one that isnt original to me#i got inspiration from stuff like darkwood and that bit at the end of ttgl which. may be a hint abt what this is#post ph#damien fletcher#idk if i should share but also if i share it might get me to plan post ph more diligently#sidenot earlier today i grabbed my earbuds off my desk and they hooked on my usb w/ the peus doc on it#so it was a clear sign to fucking work on peus. i got a few sentences out i think we’re near the end of the chapter#inspiration is great for post ph rn it really helps kickstart the more specific stuff#im putting so much time into the beginning and slice of life stuff and the group coming together#but inspiration rlly helps with individual arcs and pulling the main plot together. def gonna be dungeons those are fun setpieces#its the only damien arc rn but its honestly rlly good with it kinda being a reflection of him specifically in his relationship with linebec#and whatnot. i should put some stuff in there abt him alone. he gets some moments with bellum in the tail end of the arc#i could do some stuff with how he problem solves on his own when faced with a fantastical kind of problem#salty talks#ARC AS IN STORY ARC im going kinda light on actual character arcs tbh#linebecks technically finished his and link is. smth. and bellum is the one who’s plotline is his character arc#gotta figure out damien. his could be based around his relationships with other people maybe. his problems seem to lie in his relationships

#funny as hell like. we finished our workload about half an hour early#because they've hired so many of us temps. who are improving at the job each day#that there's just been less to spread around#yet bc work culture is dumb our manager suddenly told everyone to push the carts we'd already sorted#into a square in the middle of the floor? which we've never done before#and the permanent staff had no idea why either. they were also confused but resigned#I passed one and said ''hey so is this just because we have 20 minutes of the shift left''#and she just laughed and shrugged and was like idk ask him lmaooo#definition of busywork#so we're all just standing around for 10 minutes until the manager starts calling people over to move... other stuff idk.#and I'm walking to join them when this small group of coworkers behind me goes HEY#you don't need to go. look he's got enough people and he's not looking stay heeere#so we just end up swapping stories about the managers giving us tips to process the conveyer faster#even tho we uhhh work SO hard already. :)#and one woman went ''I was thinking. ummm. I could go faster. but you gonna pay me more??? so I worked slower ❤️''#nothing but respect for us grunts here tho vs the management. I've never known a single person in the 3 weeks I've been here#to not come and help someone who looks busy on the opposite conveyer when theirs is slow#turns out people are naturally nice and helpful when you don't take advantage and try and make them work harder#bosses will never learn this <3
