ever since i started watching this show, the blue to green eyes phantom trasnition in the intro has bugged me. right as the line “when he first woke up he realized he has snow white hair, and glowing green eyes” plays, he looks in the mirror, as phantom (white hair) and blue eyes, but his eyes turn green shortly after. Why??? his hair was already white, which was the other primary change noted in the song, but his eyes stayed blue until he blinked! which, i was thinking maybe he just needed to blink fo rit to take effect? but in that case, why wouldnt they have changed while he was lying with his eyes closed, dead? why were his eyes closed when he was dead? child sensoring obvi but it just doesnt make any sense? why would it take that long to reach his eyes??? maybe the electrical ghost shock acted as bleach somehow?? idk???? it still makes zero sense to me. idk. someone help

Severance S2 Finale

No liveblogging from me. The finale was too tense and my internet is too patchy.

But GOD. How did they actually do that? Like...it’s a finale that I think feels totally satisfying while still not resolving like a LARGE amount of stuff, leaving things extremely open-ended until S3.

Random thoughts to get out of the way: Omg the people who watch this show in gif form but aren’t entirely sure what it’s about are gonna have a WEIRD TIME this episode.

What a way to open it, with the Marks having a conversation for the first time and letting it truly get as messy as it did. And yeah, that’s the fundamental problem of the show, right, that cannot be solved with two people running away together. You still have two souls in one body.

Got that scary ass way they did the MDR. And weird ass Kier and Milchick scene and the BAND.

At one point I was like oh they’re gonna have to explain the plot to all those people who didn’t figure it out two episodes ago, and then they basically didn’t? Like RIP to people who can’t draw conclusions from media because you must be having a bad time.

I did NOT expect them to bring the goat back and give us goat answers but THANK GOD, and what a great scene and job by Gwendolyn Christie (always).

Absolute hilarity of killing Drummond and the elevator. Like hello comedian Ben Stiller.

And then you have Gemma and Mark running in the maze like red and white hallways while Milchick in the part of the minotaur tries to force his way out of the cage and then Euridice is leading Orpheus out of the underworld but Orpheus LOOKS BACK, at Helly, and he turns around and runs away with her.

And I’m lik 95% sure, without looking at anything that the song that plays is the same song as was over the Gemma montage from 2x07 but then it was in French and now it was in English, because once again he UNDERSTANDS THAT FEELING, it’s now in his language. He has the same feeling now but with someone new, and Euridice was saved (she led the way) but he was her dead wife too and he got trapped on the stairway and is going to stay in hell and make a life there actually.

And IDK maybe there’s a revolution happening in hell now, who knows, that’s season 3’s business.

Thematically and narratively this was ON POINT AS FUCK. I realize a lot of people will probably be unsatisfied because they didn’t get the things they wanted to see, but anyone who genuinely didn’t like it or is mad at the ending I diagnose with Too Literal Disease.

The h0td writing is so bad, how can they go on and on about the prophecy unless the writers plan to reveal that lol the Stark kids are actually Aemond's descendants via Alys so that hotd can connect to got's ending? I would love for the Starks to have no connections from the Targs at all (except Jon) so it can be a f u to whole house T4rg but seriously with how the writing goes, I feel like it has a 70% chance happening now... Also is it just me or Alys' actress kind of look like Arya?

(their alliance being literally called Pact of ice and fire...) but nah apparently they just cut out the whole northern storyline. maybeee we will be shown some flashbacks regarding that but idk

on a side note, as far as I remember the prince that was promised prophecy isn't inherently tied to the targaryens at all, and it definitely doesn't originate from Aegon, so I wonder if they changed that in the show canon (like Dany's dragon eggs coming from Syrax) or do the targs just believe that bc of course who else would be the chosen one if not them.

HORRIBLE HISTORIES 2009 SERIES:

Horrible Histories, a British sketch comedy and educational television series, first aired its 2009 season on CBBC. The show, primarily aimed at children, uses humor and parody to teach viewers about various historical events and figures. Each episode focuses on specific periods, cultures, or historical topics, presenting the information in a fun and engaging manner.

The series is based on the bestselling children's books of the same name by Terry Deary. It uses a combination of live-action sketches, animations, and musical numbers to make history more accessible and entertaining for its audience. The show's cast (Season 1 to 5), which includes Matthew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, and Ben Willbond portrays a range of historical characters, often in a comedic or exaggerated manner.

Today’s Horrible Histories (Season 6 to 10) isn’t as much as loved compared to the older Seasons, and I see why. (Just a quick note that I do not support nor condone any of the controversial topics that were written in the recent seasons, the only reason why I visit the recent episodes are to fast forward to the parts to where they show the animated clips.)

Back to the older seasons, Season 1-5 shows a great way of explaining and presenting historical topics in a fun, harmless and amusing way to its audience. There are also a bunch of British references and subtle jokes that will get a laugh out of you. The songs are quite catchy too :-D

Canon/Official Information:

The reoccurring animated characters you may remember seeing in a normal Horrible Histories episode are probably the Rotten Romans soldier, Gorgeous Georgian lady, Frightful First World War british soldier or the Measly Middle Ages peasant. But do they have any background other than being a character from that era ?

These lovable but forgettable cartoon characters you’ve probably seen before make appearances in Horrible Histories: Gory Games, Horrible History book covers, Horrible History merchandise and even in the Horrible History games.

The animated/cartoon characters are used for the animated sketches or era headings in the 2009 Horrible Histories show. They also made multiple appearances in the Horrible Histories: Gory Games show, usually introducing the era topic, questions and answers. While most of the characters are recognized from the shows, almost all of them originated from the Horrible Histories book covers.

You may be surprised to hear that some characters have official names like this Victorian Gentleman, did you know his name was Howard ? Now you do.

How about this Tudor lady from an animated Terrible Tudors sketch ? Her name is Alice.

The Roundhead chief ? Oh yeah, his name is Victory.

We don’t get much information/background about these little shits, but when we do it’s usually shown in a subtle or way that wouldn’t be mentioned again. So what do I do ? LIST DOWN EVERY SINGLE FACT ABOUT THEM. (Probably not every single thing about them, but a lot of facts that you may not know !)

Ma-Nefer is blind (due to the fact that his pet falcon that Senouphis trained to rip his brother’s eyes out so he could become Pharaoh), his artificial eyes serve no purpose.

While Ma-Nefer was stuck at his burial, his only companion was a mummified cat he named “Geb”.

Senouphis gets a reoccurring nightmare where Ma-Nefer comes back from the dead and takes his revenge, of course that would never happen ,, yeah right.

Wycliff used to have a pet parrot, unfortunately he still hasn’t gotten over his parrot’s death.

If Madeleine was ever to die during a bombing, Madeleine’s daughter would think of her doll as her mother and treat the doll as how Madeleine treated her.

It’s an HHAC (Horrible Histories Animated Characters) AU where all historical periods/eras go to war against eachother, some eras/periods will have alliances while some will be on their own.

As of right now, I stil haven't figured out the alliances yet, but the whole story is completely up to you! Who wins in the Crabby Clash? Yes, that's the name of the AU (corny I know :-( ).

FUN FACTS about the Crabby Clash/HHAC:

The non-animated HH characters (Bob hale, Charles the II, Mike Peabody, Sue, Death, etc ..) are canon in the universe too.

A little conflict between 2 eras was the reason for the war (just like any other world war).

Women from some eras are able to go to war (because I SAY SO IT’S MY AU).

Well, today's the day! Hilda comes to an end. I figured now more than ever is time I make this post on just…how I feel about this incredible show ending and why it means so much to me…and why I'm grateful to Luke Pearson and the whole Hilda team. So, long post below ahead!

I found Hilda in 2018 via a post on the Gravity Falls sub of the trailer. Right from the start, something felt special about this show. And like many, I tuned in to watch it when it began. I didn't know what would be in store as I began it, but I was excited. This was at the end of the summer as GF hype for Lost Legends and the box set died down. So, getting in to a new show seemed like the best idea. It took literally hearing that theme song for me to instantly fall in love with Hilda. There was something so familiar and wholesome just bursting out of that opening. It was a feeling hard to really explain. By episode 3 and specifically the ending of it…I knew I had my next favourite show.

Everything about Hilda just felt perfect to me. The animation was incredible, Hilda as a character was enjoyable and full of life, the story felt fresh even if the core concept seemed familiar and all in all, I just loved the atmosphere this show radiated. It also made me so happy to see Canada have a part in Hilda. The Canadian animation industry is one I love given how much of a part of my childhood it was. And so to see it have a hand in this incredible show just made me so happy. Mercury Filmworks did amazing with Hilda. And I think that's how I began to understand why Hilda feels so familiar; it reminds me of those old cartoons I grew up on. Those Canadian Nelvana shows that were so wholesome & yet so fun to watch…while also not afraid to be bold. Hilda was that kind of show for a new generation!

I also didn't shy away from poking some nods to Gravity Falls. It was a great way to help spread Hilda's existence to more people and to this day I get messages from people who tell me they found Hilda because of my tweets, or videos or more. That means the world and I am grateful to have helped you discover this show. And like any show I fell in love with, I also bough the books and other merch for it. The Hilda graphic novels were amazing to read and see how the show grew from them, the figurine still just fits in my shelf, and the tie in books and more are always fun to collect. I'll miss it. Not to mention the memes…of which I made a few. The Hilda fandom is insane, yet so funny. Like all fandoms it has its ups and downs but I've met some amazing people because of Hilda and some who I remain great friends with. You know who you are <3

Hilda's conclusion means that the last of my holy trinity shows is now over…and with that, the end of an era. Truthfully, IDK what my plans are post Hilda. It was the last show still airing that I truly was 110% passionate about. That's not to say there aren't other shows, But there will never be another Hilda for me. Hilda is a show unlike any other I have seen. Yeah, perhaps it's not the most popular or the biggest or the best cartoon out there. But OMG, no other show since ever made me as happy and passionate as Hilda did. It's one of a kind!

I said in 2018 that Hilda is everything out of a cartoon that I wanted. I still believe that.

No cartoon is perfect and our definition of perfection is our own. If you ask me though…Hilda is the closest cartoon I have ever come across to my definition of perfection!

With that, while I am heartbroken to bid farewell to Hilda…I am happy I got to experience this show as it aired. I'm grateful for all the memories I made in the 5 years I had it. I'm grateful for the adventure and above all else…I'm grateful to have seen Hilda! ❤️

Alright it’s tomorrow I watched the first 2 go rush dub episodes and here’s what my thoughts are - from a huge sevens fan who only has seen a few clips, tumblr posts, and the cat episode before watching

I also watched this with my sister, who greatly dislikes Yu-Gi-Oh! Bridge content. It was a joy having to also explain to her Yes You Can Draw Multiple Cards And All Of This Is Legal Play. A joy to watch from that alone

Episode 1 and I actually really like Yudias? I thought I’d get annoyed since he’s an alien and not an ohdo but he’s been the best part of this show so far. I love how dramatic both he and the voice actor are when doing literally anything ever. He’s insane in the way which reminds me of the drama in Yu-Gi-Ohs past. Also he’s just funny. I laughed at him a lot more than I expected, especially with him and the Velgears. Solid 8/10 character, would belong in any other Yugioh perfectly and his dub voice actor actually kills it at being Yudias (10/10 on va-ing)

Now I was weary of Yuhi. Before knowing anything about Go Rush I told myself I’d be a Yuhi stan. But no he’s kinda annoying? Like idk if it’s a translation thing but he just so fucking annoying whenever he talks. I think the dubbing plays a part of that too though; I’ve played stuff with his va (ntwewy) and though he sounded way to monotone but this feels like he’s exaggerating every sentence in the worst way possible. I like his design and his weird alien hair but unfortunately that’s about it? Like 4/10 probably better in sub I hate hearing him

Yuamu is almost good. I almost like her. Her dub voice feels way too high pitch but that’s not even my main problem and I don’t know what is. I liked her before watching (especially her hair, love the gradient and bangs) but she just feels…boring? Like she’s just here to explain how to play and has one part in the second episode which I find annoying but I’ll get to that later. Overall 6/10 nothing too wrong with her and her voice only annoys me a little (her voice actress would do a great Yuna though tbh)

I don’t really have any notes about the plot. I think it’s funny how the Ohdos say there’s a the smartest people alive for the sake of their livelihood, I like the velgears, the bit with Yudias just having booster packs was funny, I really like Yudias. Nothing wrong with it. Overall like 7/10 episode. Sevens had a better starting episode but I didn’t expect anything else

(also theme “song” was just as boring as sevens BUT THEY SAY THE NAME OF THE SHOW! Actually blew my mind the first time I have low standards)

Episode 2 is actually pretty fun. I like Yudias reminiscing about the war through a card, I like the secrecy (wait it’s called the MIK originally? Honestly I can’t be mad at the change two 3 letter organization is a bit confusing), and Manabu and Nyandestar are a pretty fun duo!

Manabu is a silly guy. I already liked him out of pity before but he’s just cool. I like his design and voice and him as a character overall. I thought him just saying no to dueling at first was really funny (paused the episode around that point and pointed out to my sister how the question “what if I just say no to duel” finally got answered) and I think it’s a really cute detail how his disguise it just Gakuto. 7/10 character would be higher but MADDOX SOGETSU? Bad name me and my sister just started calling him Matthew because that’s a better name. (Alternate better names include Mason, Morgan, Matt, Mark, any M name)

Nyandestar is fun! Meowdestar is a fine change to her name, it makes sense but I will never fucking call her that. She’s just fun, that’s about it! Her and Manabu are like team rocket but she’s both James and meowth. No complaints 9/10 I like cats.

Idk what isn’t a translation change, but the conversation with a disguised Manabu and Yuamu made me feel…mad? Annoyed? Idk but saying a man is faking a pet snake because snake aren’t slimy and are actually reptiles is such a nickpicking thing I would hate to be in her presence. ALSO THE OHDO’S INHERITED UTS??? NEPO BABIES. Another point against the Ohdo twins.

However, Yudias is a bright light in this dub, his va is doing amazing still and I love his vocal delivery in Yudias’s flashback of leaving his home planet. And from the 10 seconds I saw I like Zwijou enough (I’m not checking the spelling) and his voice actor. Really giving the dead wife trope and I’m curious on how I’ll inevitably hate him later.

Fine episode, 6/10. I’ll probably continue watching just out of principle but probably wouldn’t if I didn’t care for Sevens. Better than I expected tbh would recommend to yugioh watchers as long as they’re used to Yugioh dubs.

I Saw You In My Dream Ep 12 Thoughts

I have been horrendously overstimulated all day, insane things are happening at work (god bless my coworkers fr), and my voice is still iffy (though it’s slowly but surely coming back god bless) so this liveblog will likely be a mess. It will probably be awhile before I liveblog week to week again. I prefer doing this with a binge. ANYWAY. Under the cut:

I have to be really honest with you guys, I enjoyed this show. I liked it a lot. But I am also extremely happy that this is the last episode. I think this show probably should have been 10 episodes instead of 12.

The dreams are hereditary. I never would have guessed. Wait. Can you guys tell when I’m being sarcastic? Does my tone come across in my written words?

Why does every car in the world have squeaky brakes today I don’t understand. Also I bet you guys don’t know I have the world’s lamest superpower related to cars. One cookie for anyone who can guess what it is.

Has this been the OST the entire time? I don’t think this is the OST. I’ve been skipping it but this isn’t right. I dislike when shows do this. Well that’s not true. But it needs to be done well and this wasn’t. This implies either a significant tone shift in the episode from the rest of the show that is disingenuous OR it means that the episode is not going to match the new tone the OST is setting and either way it is a disservice to the show. If they wanted to shift the tone, it should have been properly building up to it since episode 1. And if there isn’t a significant tone shift, the OST should have remained the same. Way to not have faith in your theme song. This is disappointing to me on so many levels. And I want to reiterate again that I really enjoy this show. But now I’m more apprehensive that the finale is going to be a let down. I hope it won’t be.

Ai’s dad just going along with it. Do we know that he knows about the dreams? Does he know? Is he just rolling with it? My man. Love that man actually.

Ice has got to be the stupidest villain to ever villain. My guy. My dude. There are so many people and Ai isn’t even the one you want. You’re just gonna be violent in front of so many witnesses.

Now everyone just stand there and watch Ai hang on for dear life. No one try to help. No one get ready to run up to catch him or slip away to maybe go up here to help. No one do anything like that. No one pull out a phone and call the cops. Or call an ambulance to come before it’s even needed.

I am doing my best to understand the variety and severity of the injuries going on here. They all need a sling or a wheelchair or a neck brace? All of them????

Is this a fucking pillow product placement? They didn’t even TRY with this one did they?

Hahahahaha sucks to suck. Kiss when you’re better I guess. (perhaps I’m in a bit of a grumbly and mean mood tonight. I love them but I laugh at their suffering)

There wasn’t enough actual development into Yu finding and achieving his dream for it to be this significant of a presence in the final episode.

At least there’s a reason for this Christmas carol. One of them is off key though.

Okay. So I can go into what I think the show did wrong and clearly I did mention some earlier but instead I want to talk about some of the things I think the show did right: I love how big of a role Ai’s parents had. That was a close knit family through and through and they were loving and supportive even to their adopted family. Speaking of his parents, I want to give a huge shout out to how this show handled their Christianity. I grew up in the church. My dad is a pastor. Two of my grandparents are pastors. And while I am no longer religious, it was a huge part of my childhood and the way Ai’s parents acted towards everyone was fully representative of how I was personally taught we should behave as Christians. Ai’s mom and my mom are very similar actually. Same with Ai’s dad and my dad but I genuinely can’t get into that. I think that was handled very well. I don’t know if it was purposeful or by accident but I loved how that was done.

I loved that once the couples got together, they stayed together. Even when tested, Ai trusted Yu. Even when it was hard, he trusted Yu. Yo and Ing were also very cute (do I have issues with them, yes, but overall they were cute). I ended up really liking Yu’s ex. I don’t feel like the flashbacks earlier in the show worked for me because they made her seem like an entirely different person. But I’m getting into my criticisms and I said I wouldn’t. I’m glad she’s free from Ice and she needs to get her own GL I think. I would watch something with that character as a lead because she is compelling and interesting. Just please god give her a plot that the writers remember to keep up with.

Momoka apologizing.... seeing everyone getting shocked about it.... Honestly, this one broke my heart a bit. Momoka, who had lost all self-confidence, had rebuilt it very slowly because of Nina's and everyone else's trust in her.

So, seeing the song that was made by her with the members in mind not doing well must be a blow to that fragile confidence yet again. She was guilty that she let everyone down.

Everyone is tired (affectionate) of Nina's outbursts while Momoka looks awestruck... Of course, we will add this to the album of the Momoka Gayze (tm) but I think this is also related to her self-confidence.

I just said that Momoka felt guilty and like how Momoka blew Nina away in Ep. 1, Nina's outburst blew her away in a way that no, no one was blaming Momoka for their failure and the person that she is closest to still believes and trusts in her.

That awestruck gaze, admiring Nina's confidence and unwavering belief for her and the group. To the song. To their decision and that they weren't wrong. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but let me be lmao.

Okay, now for GBC as a whole: I adore this show so fucking much. I didn't expect to fall in love with the show when I started watching it, but man. I am so glad that I didn't wait for this to finish and got to wait each week for a new episode with everyone.

Personally, the ending was okay. It feels like it's just the beginning, so it didn't feel like an ending ending. Idk how to explain it. It just.... it's like not everything has been concluded.

Regarding momonina: I am not surprised that nothing happened on camera. But with all the subtext and hints, I will take it. Sure, I wished they addressed the confession more openly, but you can't win it all.

Overall, this is my anime of the season, possibly anime of the year, and definitely one of my all time favorites. Maybe I'll make a post about the ED (since it's an epilogue), about momonina, or my fave moments throughout the season but we'll see haha.

ProHero!Kats hitting the streets looking for you after one of the worst fights with the villains in years. Buildings are demolished. People - bodies - are strewn about in the streets. From street lights. On cars. There is no sign of you anywhere.

He knows you're out here somewhere. You were going to the store to buy a bottle of champagne to properly celebrate the two of you moving in together. But still, he can't see you.

Katsuki's heart begins to race. He's starting to panic. The villains could have taken you, or worse, you could be hurt and unable to call for help. He's running through the streets, dodging debris, and looking everywhere for any sign of you.

Finally, he spots your favorite hoodie, crumpled up in a corner. He picks it up and instantly smells your perfume. You're out here, and he's going to find you. He can't stop now.

Katsuki calls out your name, hoping that you'll hear him and respond. He's walking faster now, and he can hear his heart beating in his ears. He's running, looking everywhere, tripping over the rubble because his eyes are glued to his surroundings, not what's underfoot.

He can't give up. He won't give up. You have to be out here somewhere, and he's going to find you.

There's a flash of movement in the corner of his eye. He whips around and sees you, standing in the middle of the street. You’re covered in dust, there are pieces of god knows what in your hair. Katsuki lets out a cry of relief and sprints toward you, scooping you up in his arms and holding you tightly to his chest.

"Katsuki, what's wrong? Why are you out here?" you ask, confused. "Did something happen?"

He sits you down and cups your face in his hands, searching your person for any signs of injury. "You're okay. You're okay." He lets out a shaky breath and presses his forehead against yours. "God, I was … worried about you."

"What are you talking about? Why wouldn't I be okay? What happened?"

Katsuki explains what happened, and you realize how lucky you were to have made it through the chaos unscathed. You wrap your arms around him and hold him tight, grateful that he found you. Grateful he, too, was unharmed.

"I'm okay, Katsuki," you reassure him. "I'm right here. I'm safe."

He looks down at you, his eyes full of concern. "Promise me you won't leave me again."

"I promise," you reply. "I'm yours, forever."

Katsuki cradles your face in his hands and kisses you softly. "You are my hero, y/n. Don't ... don't ever forget that."

He picks you up and carries you home, sitting you down on the porch of your new little home. Brushing your hair aside, he kisses you. 

Hard. Heavy. Desperately. He unlocks the door and his lips don't leave yours the whole way to the bedroom. "I - I gotta … feel you, y/n. Needa feel you ... please ... I ... I ..."

"Shhhhh, it's okay, Katsuki. It's okay. I'm here. I'm right here." You wrap your arms around him and hold him close, his face pressed against your neck as he takes deep, ragged breaths. "I'm not going anywhere. I promise."

Katsuki lets out a deep sigh and pulls back, gazing into your eyes. "I was so scared that ..."

You lift his navy blue wife beater over his shoulders and head and sit it down on the chair. Kissing his neck you move your lips down to his abdomen and you start to undo his black pants. "I love you." You pull your face back long enough to remind him that you’re still ok. 

Katsuki lets you undress him, his body shaking slightly as he lets out another deep breath. He closes his eyes and wraps his arms around you, his fingers tangling in your hair. "Please ... I need you, y/n. Please."

You finish undressing him and climb into the bed, pulling him on top of you. He looks down at you, his eyes full of love and desire, and you feel your heart flutter. He leans down and kisses you deeply, his tongue exploring your mouth, his hands roaming your body.

Katsuki sits back and looks down at you, his eyes roaming your body as he reaches down and caresses your thighs. He trails his fingers up your sides, making you shiver. He leans forward and kisses your neck, his lips brushing against your ear as he whispers, "I want you, y/n. I need you. Please, lemme have you."

You let out a soft moan as Katsuki kisses you, his lips traveling down your body, his hands massaging your breasts. He moves his mouth down to your navel, his tongue dipping into your belly button, making you arch your back.

Katsuki pulls away and looks at you, his eyes dark with lust. "You're so beautiful. Wanna taste you." Hi, I’m back from watching the first episode of Hazbin Hotel, here are my thoughts on it.

But first, here is the swear counter:

The Good/ Things I Enjoyed:

Vaggie, Alastor, Charlie, Husk, and Nifty all have pretty good voice acting.

The two that stand out to me as my favorites are Husk and Nifty. Husk sounds well husky. It sounds like he smokes or used to smoke and there’s this gritty gruff to it. It really fits his character well. Like if you had to ask me what the voice of a bar tender gambling winged cat demon was? That is it.

Nifty’s voice acting also hits that sweet spot with her character where it sounds small like a balloon or squeaky toy but also small like a needle or a switch blade if that makes sense.

Overall I love Nifty so much. The gag of her freezing up when Vaggie tries to film her was great. Having it happen twice hit that joke sweet spot of letting it set in and be executed without over staying. It also fits her character well since she’s a little bit weird (such a blorbo) and I would like to headcanon that since she was summoned by Alastor, she kinda shares his distaste for video.

Also I am deeply hoping to hear more Spanish be spoken by Vaggie. Both the upset Spanish ranting and her sweetly singing to Charlie in Spanish. Imagine Charlie singing back also in Spanish. Would be neat I think.

The other two things was the Helluva reference on the side of a van and a Travis cameo. That was neat, adding some consistency to the world.

The Bad / Things I Didn’t Like:

Idk if it was just me but at least at the start, the animation looked choppy when Vaggie and Charlie were speaking at first. But for the rest of the episode it was pretty alright. Certainly doesn’t feel like a professional production level but that is what you get when you pay people slave wages Viv. I do hope that the animators can take some pride in their work, especially the more fluent movements during the songs.

Speaking of songs, Happy Day In Hell is alright. Nothing stand out but it’s good.

Adam’s song meanwhile. Ugh. Not fully committing to the rock/punk, still being another generic pop song, and overall adds onto my issues with Adam as a character and the whole “THE ANGELS ASCTHUCALLY BAD YOU GUYS” thing is, ugh.

It boils down to:

1) If Heaven is also as bad as Hell, why even bother with redemption?

2) Is it just the Exterminators who are corrupt? Also several demons were killed while Charlie sang so like what makes the Exterminations so bad if a second death is constantly happening casually?

3) Why do any of the Exterminators follow Adam? Also Adam has been written as a hand holder for the audience so you know who to hate (he got Stella’d).

4) I see how Viv is trying to tackle the issues of the patriarchy and misogyny in this but like, does she think that redeems her from how she’s handled Helluva Boss? (Once more, Stella.)

On the topic of male characters, who is Alastor anymore? He used to be smug and commanding and set up as a manipulative deal maker that doesn’t really care for the well being of others and now he just kinda walks around mocking Vaggie and Charlie? Idk just feels like Alastor is being added on top of the list of characters (which is like everyone but Vaggie) that don’t believe in Charlie to manage redemption.

Do wish for more spooky moments with him though.

Now onto Angel.

Why does his voice sound like a deflated worm out balloon? It caught me so off guard and it’s just nails on a chalkboard for me.

And the sex jokes, two of which stuck out to me as “can you not?”

“This body was made to be exploited” by Angel. I don’t think I have to explain why having your SA character say that line out loud and frame it as a humorous comment is a good look. Classic Viv moment.

“I like being forced” by Nifty. Yes, what a great line to have given to the small, child appearing character. It felt so forced and pushed outside of Nifty’s usual weirdness too.

Also dare I forget how Amazon had this marked as 15+ (I believe) before changing it to 18+. Which good catch there guys cause during Charlie’s song, we get a quick scene of two demons fucking.

Not saying that scene was quite as offensive as it was just boring middle schooler level humor like Alastor’s ad having a toilet joke in it and Blitzø like drawings/notes at the end.

What did manage to give me the ick was how Nifty and Angel kept hitting on Husk. Nifty not as much, but Angel was just down right creepy. Husk himself states that he is at the hotel against his will (whole new can of worms there) and now Angel is hitting on him and making constant unwanted advances?

But with that we’re meant to clap and ship away but then we jump cut to Adam calling Charlie “babe” over and over and we’re meant to boo? Which direction are we going with this Viv?

One last thing, I knew that Brandon as Katie would sound horrible but I got jumpscared by Tom’s ye ye ass quality voice.

I would give it a 3/10 maybe a 4/10

final destination characters and what movie/tv shows i think they would like

alex - the walking dead. has seen every single episode even though it’s been running for over a decade. says he could probably survive a zombie apocalypse. is the biggest glenn defender ever.

tod - community. 100%. when the movie got announced he went apeshit on twitter. he loves troy, has seen every episode at least twice, and actually liked the fourth season for some reason.

george - he doesn’t watch tv unless it’s like a sport. look at him. if he had to pick, brooklyn 99.

clear - shameless. she sat through all eleven seasons, would have watch parties with her friends, and liked to take notes on the psyche of the characters. she HATED frank with a passion and loved fiona. actually cried at both finales.

billy - my babysitters a vampire. claims it was his “childhood” and is still upset they ended it on a cliffhanger. rory def rubbed off on him growing up. he prefers the first season to the second but has seen each episode like a million times. will sing the theme song totally unprompted

carter - breaking bad. actually tried making meth cause he thought walter had the “right idea” with the money. is the kind of guy to retweet sigma male edits of the characters

terry - locke and key. watched it cause she thought the main villain was hot, and when he was a girl too she went crazy on twitter. live tweeted the second season, and will defend kinsey locke to no extent.

kimberly - first kill. clear or shania told her to watch it saying it was like a better version of twilight. (she loves twilight). she was on the front lines trying to keep the show from getting canceled. she has probably made an edit of caliette. she’s crazy like that.

rory - he also likes breaking bad, but he’s more into better call saul. saul goodman is HIM. literally so relatable and babygirl. he saw better call saul first, so when he showed up in s2 of brba he went APESHIT

eugene - abbott elementary because there is “finally” a REAL show about what it’s like to be a teacher. he also never gets into sitcoms so it was a shock for him that he liked it so much

nora - bones. she LOVES crime dramas on daytime television, and bones is no exception. she finds herself trying to figure out the twist every single episode. she also gets way too into the characters. (tim was explaining to her that bones was autistic coded and she went :o)

tim - kid LOOKS like henry danger, but i’m gonna say malcom in the middle. secretly wished for a big family growing up. alex told him that the father makes meth and since tim didn’t know about brba he was actively seeking out that plot line.

evan - literally anything with wrestling.

kat - the office. not in like, a “basic” way or anything but because she is a businesswoman and needs to feel included. she likes pam a lot. wanted dwight to die once. she got through about eight seasons before calling it quits.

wendy - i feel like she’s a house md fan??? idk why or how but it just makes sense to me i suppose. probably an rsl fan or something

kevin - okay unpopular opinion but i feel like he’s a huge fan of the will forte era on snl. he’s a will forte fan in general so he’s probably seen clone high, last man on earth and macgruber

ian - def a santa clarita diet fan. trust me when i say this man was having meltdowns on twitter when it got canceled. you have never seen him more passionate in his life!

erin - okay this is very unpopular and very out of character but she has a guilty pleasure show and that is dawsons creek. joey is her fave and she is Completely Normal about pacey + joey. her regular show is yellowjackets, however. god bless cannibalistic high schoolers

Favorite color: there's a specific shade of yellow orange that just really brightens my day like what a sunset looks like right before the sky turns to night. Between Mandarin peels and Neon orange climbing rope. Specifically when it's like the splash of color in an otherwise muted scene idk. I feel like my answer changes a lot tho

Currently watching: I guess the last thing I watched was Dandadan with a friend of mine, I saw the first episode and ended up reading the entire manga so it's likely going to be the series I keep up with. Very excited to see turbo granny soon

Currently reading: I just fixed up my nook and downloaded all of Brandon Sandersons stormlight archive books, I've just finished part 1 of his first book The Way of Kings. I'm reading since my friend really wanted me n other friends ti read it so she could start a book club so I'm reading it partly for her and partly because I haven't bitten into a fat fantasy book in a while and I know I'd like it. I was starting his other book mistborn but was told off and instructed to read the way of kings first so im doing that. I'm also reading the manga Gachuakuta as it comes out chapter by chapter with one of my close friends it's been really fun being able to follow a manga as it releases and the art style goes hard.

Last movie: took me a second but I think it was Doctor Sleep at a friend's movie night. I have not watched the shining. Which I feel adds to the experience in a sideways unique way. Rebecca Ferguson's hat in that movie is so funny. I liked it but it felt kinda insane. Like it could've been weirder but it had some shining Hollywood ropes to jump thru. Very fun otherwise very silly.

Sweet/spicy/savory: Sweet I'm sorry to my spicy and savory lovers I'm right there with you but I've recently embraced and accepted I have a sweet tooth and it's been wonderful. I can still throw it down spicy style with only a little crying and savory is soooo close too but sweet. The grip honey in my tea has on me.

Relationship status: I'm dating someone rn 🫣 it's been about 2 months since our first date and it's been really nice🥰. It's been really helpful since in August I needed to get rid of a friend crush which is now back to being a good friendship and today I'm gonna introduce my date to a lot of friends so I'm half nervous half very excited for people to meet. Every day I thank God for Bi women. Bi4Bi baby

Current obsession: Competitive Pokémon TCG. It's truly taking over my life in a good way I love it so much. I want to get to worlds next year. I have like 4 decks rn and I'm making more. My strongest deck and most consistent(despite it being by nature an inconsistent deck) has been playing Lugia Archeops I love those two pokemon and I love how the deck plays. It's a joy to look at new cards and try and game theory new innovations or strategies against other met decks and I have been really good about not buying packs and gambling away money. I will buy singes and b happy. Please talk to me about this I will happily explain and help you get into it.
