So, Waylon adopts Danny.

Waylon wasn’t quite sure how he acquired a kid.

In fact, Waylon doesn’t even think he had actually chose himself to keep him. Instead he thinks that this kid chose him.

Right now, the small and skinny black-haired boy who’d inserted himself into his life was sat at the table his weapon’s engineer used to work. Tinkering at the bits and pieces scattered over the messy surface while Waylon himself hovered nearby.

“Are you sure that’s safe for you to be messing with kiddo?” The large, scaled man called to the boy, a hint of concern peeking through the southern twang in his accent. Elongating is ‘O’s and ‘E’s and ‘A’s.

“Yeah, it’s fine, I used to work on my parents experiments in their lab all the time,” The boy called back, and— unironically— it didn’t soothe his anxiety.

“That don’t make me feel any better squirt.”

“Well? Too bad.” This twig was going to be the cause of all Waylon’s fictitious gray hairs, he was calling it now.

Instead of lecturing the kid on safety, Waylon simply ruffled his hair with his large, clawed hands and left him to his devices.

Team Phantom have finally done it. They have gotten an audience with the UN to argue their case, that Ectoentities are sapient and sentient beings.

Should they succeed the US would have to repeal the Anti-Ecto Acts or risk retaliation from other countries for breaking the Geneva convention.

One problem.

The GIW has managed to convince a fair number of ambassadors that Ectoentities are not only non sentient but an active threat to their own countries.

Danny has no choice but to bring out the Big Guns.

United Nations, please say hello to the ghosts of your beloved former leaders, cultural heroes, and deceased relatives.

Awkward meetings

Pretty much the same things happen as in canon, but Danny almost constantly bumps into Ra's in his time travel (where dc and dp can exist together or as separate/parallel alternate universes). After an indeterminate number of meetings, the contents of which I won't reveal, both came to an unspoken agreement to ignore each other no matter what.

Remarkably, the order of encounters for Ra's and Danny is chronologically confusing, as is their timeline relative to each other. How strong. No one knows at what segment of their meetings the other is. It's so damn confusing that Ra's and Danny keep logs of meetings, in a futile attempt to sort this shit out one day without potentially destabilizing the current time stream, the Flash's bullshit is more than enough, thanks.

And out of a desire to avoid all this headache, they most often just walk by and report their subjective meeting number. On rare occasions, they warn each other about how their next meeting might go, or simply ask the other to remind them of something.

Their awkward meetings/attempts to avoid prolonged interaction will look quite funny from the outside.

It seemed that the League always had its own "Cryptid". At truly random intervals (day, week, month, years), the same child quickly appeared in front of the Demon Head and just as quickly disappeared. Most often they exchanged some numbers, less often he uttered some phrases. Neither of them will even look at the other, eager to leave as soon as possible (the longer they are around, the higher the chance that something unpleasant will happen, strange, but together they often attract any kind of trouble from an earthquake to level threats end of the world).

I can’t stop thinking about this thing I saw so I’m doing a similar thing where Danny tells people to do stuff and I hey listen for whatever reason.

Danny: “No you’re not, but I am kinda hungry, so will you run down to the bodega on the corner and get me something?”

Grunt, confused but feels inclined to listen: “Oh, you mean Steve’s Spot, what do you want?”

Danny: “Do you think you can get a number seven, ask them to add extra sauce too”

Grunt, already heading down the street: “no problem!”

Thanksgiving at the Fenton house was... Something. Danny did his best to avoid it, in short. It wasn't exactly Christmas; but it wasn't nice either.

Gotham was a good place for him to escape to, right? A flight there and back once Thanksgiving was over, no issue.

He didn't mean to get kidnapped by billionaires for an even weird Thanksgiving, okay Jazz?!

He'd just been out and about, doing nothing really, when this person came up to him and began to drag him by the ear, talking something about how "If I have to attend this, so do you!"

Being startled, he couldn't string the sentence he was looking for together and ended up being dragged to a---... Manor. Because of course it was. Rich people.

"So, how's everything?" A different black haired, blue eyed boy asked, eye bags heavier than Danny's.

"Oh! Actually, Jay, I left my shirt at your place when I got shot, any chance you brought it with?" The other black-haired, blue eyed guy asked, twirling his fork in his hand.

And he was looking at Danny.

Thank Ancients, the oldest person-- parent? He didn't know-- jumped in, sounding so tired, "Can we not talk about work at the table?" Then turned to Danny again, "And thank you for joining us this year, Jason."

"I had to drag him here!" The blonde who dragged him here Interrupted, "Why don't I get any thanks? Discrimination, Bruce. This is discrimination."

"I'd appreciate it very much if you didn't shout at the table, Miss Brown," The very oldest person said, placing a plate on the table.

Alright-- enough was enough, Danny needed to leave. This is weird, and he did not want to know why black-haired, blue-eyed guy #2 was shot either.

"Sorry, Alfred--" Blonde (Miss Brown?) said casually.

The sound of the door opening was as loud as a cannon to his ears, but to everyone else at the table, it was normal. Or they were expecting someone else that wasn't who they thought Danny to be.

"IM ONLY HERE FOR THE FOOD--" A voice shouted, "-AND NOTHING ELSE."

Black hair, blue eyes #3 came in, a white streak matching Danny's own in his hair.

All eyes turned to him. Fuck.

School’s back in swing and suddenly I have much more motivation to draw.

I like the idea of danny not being the ghost king, not because the crown picks someone else, or he's too young for him to legally take the crown, or because someone else has more right to it, or he gives the crown away

i like the idea of him not being the king because no ghost could take him seriously as king, and so the whole kings court just ends up disbanding because they both cant get the crown to choose someone else and refuse to take orders from a ghost toddler

and then danny ends up keeping the crown and ring (unwillingly) but he isnt the king in anyway

But what i like even more about this, is that he could still pretend to any people who arent in the know about ghost zone politics that he is the ghost king.

like if its a dc crossover, which i know are very popular rn, you can have him pretend to be the ghost king to the justice league but then one or all of the justice league dark members know,

hell you can even have captain marvel know or Martian manhunter know, but then they dont tell the rest of the justice league he isnt actually technically the ghost king because he also actually technically is the ghost king

get it? he's not the ghost king but he also is the ghost king.

as in he's half the king and half not the king? because he's a halfa?

Ok so I’m doing this for the post about secretary Danny, and I wanna know who is gonna swoon over him the most. Bc characters act one way when liking someone and another when their sibling likes someone. But yeah um please lmk which of these bc I am starting a new fic :)

And I won’t do Sam or Tucker bc I have many plans for them but they are at most QPR with Danny, like if I do an aro Danny that would be it, but I want to see Danny serve cunt and also fuck a billionaires kid (or just go on a cute date who knows)

So, I know that the results of the poll were conclusively for Jazz, and I do plan to get to her Monday, but I started the sketches for these like right after I posted the poll, and I love the swimsuit design and the lil’ stuffed demon, so you’re getting more Sam to hold you over for the weekend. Sorry not sorry.
