God Severance S2ep2 is SO PERFECT, like just SUCH a tease of info and implications.
The big two being that Lumon NEEDS Mark in a way that they don't need the others, because he HAS to finish his work on Cold Harbour, whatever that is, which we know is somehow tied to Gemma.
And then the Irving hints. He called someone and said "my innie got the message." So is THAT the point of the paintings? That he was painting that door in case his innie ever surfaced in order to send info and get him to investigate that door that goes down?
And that was Burt spying on him, right? It was dark, but I'm pretty sure. So...GOD.
Waiting a week between episodes is INSANE.

Okay Severance S2 ep 5.
How is every episode so fucking tense. I'm watching a man in an office find a piece of paper with writing on it and I gasp and cover my mouth with my hands.
So okay reintegration is happening. At first I thought Mark S. was acting weird because of the sex and everything, but no, HIS PERSONALITIES ARE BLENDING. And outie Mark is kinda an asshole and it's bleeding through. He doesn't feel the emotional connection to the rest of the team like he normally would. In addition to all the trauma he's been through recently.
God Dylan continues to be so fucking legit. And he has directions to the export hall now!!!
Milchick continues to be fucking fascinating. He definitely seems to be wavering. In the face of Those Paintings and seeing the human distress under Natalie's mask. And also just...holy god can you imagine being taken to task for the direction of the paperclips? I feel like that kind of thing could break many a person out of delusions about their work.
And I think he's starting to think about the innies like people, and that's what Lumon most doesn't want.
Also of course WHAT THE FUCK IS COLD HARBOUR etc etc etc.
AND THEN. Fucking Irving and Burt. Deep Breath.
AHHHHHHHHHHH
Okay. I'm super surprised Lumon would have told Burt the reason for his firing, but I guess in a normal situation it makes sense. They're HAVING DINNER TOGETHER! This is so exciting! It's almost like Irving B was right, and "dying" meant he went to where Burt was.
So that's something I can't wait for.
This ep is wild because it feels like not much happened and yet here I am yelling about almost literally everything.
Also Fuck Ricken.

Severance S2 ep 7
I am NOT OKAY. No, like this show has now actually made me cry.
Probably because I've actually lived the "police come to my door after my husband doesn't come home" moment. (In his case it was only a near fatal crash.)
But that combined with her despair....god this show is so mean.
But my GOD how do they keep surprising us. Like, I saw a lot of speculation before this episode, though I try to avoid all info. People expected to see Mark's memories of Gemma.
But OF COURSE this show is like, hey, you're actually not going to get memories of Gemma and get to see her until the moment she's ACTUALLY IN THE NARRATIVE.
GOD I did not expect her to be GEMMA down there. Though she's clearly altered in some way to get her to be compliant.
And how much did we not expect them to show us so much. How does this show keep giving us information and still leaving us so in the dark?
So she has been severed like an infinite number of times and each room (hundreds?) is a different "person" whose only existence is what they experience in that room which is always the same. And the rooms correspond to the files.
so as usual, what the fuck is cold harbour,
And the data refining. So their "other selves" "shadow selves" are watching them while they refine data? WTAF. And they seem to fully know what they're doing? Maybe?
Talk about an episode I need to watch again.
The absolute devastating honestly of their marriage and fertility problems. So Gemma (and Mark) got onto Lumon's radar from a fertility clinic. And they were sending her like psychological tests or something?
I do really like the "oh this is just straight up Scientology now" of the e-meter assessment.
GOD when Gemma hit that doctor over the head was so satisfying. I hope he fucking died but I know he didn't.
Also I was totally wrong that the dentist guy was Fields. Which only makes Burt MORE suspicious somehow? But anyway.
GOD GOD GOD. Every second of this show I'm just like I can't BELIEVE my husband won't watch this.
Oh and DEVON why the fuck would you call Korbel? Like that legitimately pissed me off. And tbh it feels like a forced way to keep Patricia Arquette in the show. but whatever.

I have just watched S2 Ep 4 of Severance and
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I swear I have not been this brain broken by an episode of TV in a VERY VERY long time what the actual fuck.
So like at first I'm like, cool it's like an Irving dream sequence...or Mark dream sequence. Or wait he was reintegrated. Is this some weird hallucination? They couldn't end ep 3 the way they did and then go into this outdoor episode if it was REAL, right?
And I spent at least the first half of the episode arguing with myself about THAT. And being like FOR REAL DID THEY AIR THIS OUT OF ORDER? WHAT IS FUCKING GOING ON.
But the further it goes the more you have to accept that, no this appears to be happening? Including uncanny valley ass "twins" and weird ass Kier stories.
And Helly acting sus as fuck of course.
When Mark flashed to Gemma during the sex scene I recoiled so hard it physically hurt. I was pretty sure by now this was Helena, but there were still moments I doubted.
And then Irving's fucking weird ass dream, and this just went FULL horror. And then okay Irving making Helena expose herself and forcing them to turn her back.
And like, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. WHAT DID THEY DO TO HIM? IRVING B, you are not fucking gone, okay, I will not stand for it, they cannot do that to you, okay? We'll get you back, alright?
So yeah. Um, I'm EXTREMELY UPSET AND CONFUSED AND WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK Y'ALL.
But god, like I have so much faith in the people making this show. Like, this episode was SO OUT THERE, but somehow I have faith it will all make sense eventually.
Because like, the Helly thing. They played it so perfectly. They clearly wanted people to suspect her, to figure it out, along with Irving. For us to be rooting for Irving and on his side. And they didn't drag it out for the whole season. Just when it was really getting annoying, they did the reveal.
God I kinda wanted Irving to just throw Milkshake off a cliff though. Like, not really, because I like him and the actor a lot. But....argh.
What the fuck do we do for a whole week??
