So I recently started getting into LADS and I do like it - the lore is very interesting and I’m excited to learn/figure out more. So I want to talk about the LIs and my thoughts on them, mixed in with my opinion about the story.

Rafayel

First off, Rafayel. I’ll be honest, I don’t like Rafayel, so I don’t have a lot for him. Yes I know he’s an interesting and complex character, but his bratty/dramatic attitude is a deterrent for me. For what it’s worth, since they’re both reincarnating beings and seem to fall for each other in a lot of timelines, I would ship him with MC as an entity, just not necessarily the main game MC. He’s probably the best out of the has-a-past-life-with-MC group.

Xavier

Next, Xavier. Xavier is adorable, and he does seem like a sweet, loving boyfriend. I can totally see him enjoying lazy days together and just being comfortable with each other. However, I do think he would want to take things pretty fast. While I’m sure he’d ultimately respect what you/MC wants, I also think he’d do everything he can think of to change their mind. Also the jealousy thing is cute at first, but it would become exhausting trying to convince him that just because a male was nice does not make him a threat to his relationship.

Do I ship him with in-game MC? Not really. From what I can tell, he’s known and loved different MCs as she’s reincarnated, definitely at least the one that gave him the star tassel(?). But it’s Queen MC that gets him to actively try to stop the cycle of sacrifice, and while he’s trying to find a solution to save both, I think it’s clear that he would choose to save Queen MC over Philos. But then he gets stranded in the past and while he’s trying to find a way back, he’s also falling in love with main game MC, which for how devoted he seemed to be to Queen MC makes it feel like a bit of a betrayal.

Sylus

Sylus is honestly the LI I’d prefer, but I ship him with MC the least. He meets MC for the first time in the main timeline and expects her to be like Sorceress MC, which as I understand is more self-serving and wicked (I could be wrong, sorry if I am). That’s why he’s so forceful at the beginning, with trying to force the resonance and making her shoot him. It’s only after he realizes and accepts that she’s a different person and she’s not going to remember that he starts becoming more of the soft, loving Sylus he is now.

And THAT Sylus I want for myself - the one that has the thrill, charisma and magnetism of a dark romance lover, but we see that once you break through the barriers he puts up, he’s such a gentle and loving man. He does everything for his beloved’s comfort and pacing and would never dream of making them do something they didn’t want to, let alone hurt them in any way. But with game MC? I’m sorry, narratively he’s the least satisfying match-up, especially since he only had one life with her.

Caleb

Caleb is a very interesting blend of a character. He’s got the fluffy growing-up-together childhood friend trope, the angst of his backstory and the whole pretending-to-be-dead-for-a-year thing, and the yummy yandere content. Caleb doesn’t have a myth yet, and I’m kinda hoping he doesn’t get one. I’m all for equality with LIs, but it’d be nice for MC to have someone who falls in love with her for the first time in this timeline. Plus I feel like Caleb and MC’s shared backstory along with the memory loss stuff fills the role pretty well.

At first I was thinking “good but not for MC” because of how toxic he was acting. But after seeing MC’s behavior with him later on- yeah no, she’s just as bad with him. And if I understand it right, the memories MC has with Caleb from their childhood show that she canonically liked him romantically as well, but was afraid of messing things up. And now things are complicated with his personality change. In my eyes, Caleb is the one MC wants. They strike me as a blaze-of-glory kind of couple, one that would rather hide away from the world and keep the other for themselves. This post explains it better than any way I can think of, but Caleb’s solution is to take away the problem to make MC happy.

Zayne

While that’s good and all, I think loving someone means that you feel safe being yourself around them and you want to become better for them, and that seems to fit MC and Zayne very well. The whole reason Zayne pursued medicine was to be able to save MC, and from this post, we can see that they’re constantly checking in with each other to make sure they’re okay. This post does a better job at showing how proactive MC is with Zayne versus reactive with the others (and how husband-wife coded they are), but regardless MC is the joy in Zayne’s otherwise work-centered life. They look out for each other and improve each other - they need each other. Zayne, rather than taking the problem away like Caleb, helps MC address the problem, get over it, and grow into a better person from it.

Regarding his other lives… Zayne’s a special boy. Unlike the other LIs, he seems to be existing in multiple alternate universes, and he doesn’t really think they exist. We know for sure that he sees Dawnbreaker’s universe as dreams, so I’d guess that he sees the other versions of him the same way. He probably thinks he’s seriously down bad, because why else would he be having all these romantasy dreams about MC? (He doesn’t realize he’s the romantasy) Regardless, he loves MC for who she is now, not for who she is in other universes.

Extra

Maybe controversial, but LADS has revealed an ick for me: reincarnated lovers. In theory it’s cute, “Oh look, these two are in love across timelines”, but in practice it just feels… off.

Sure, there are probably some points that stick with a person as they reincarnate, but circumstances and environment does affect a person. The MC we play as lives a much different life than Sorceress MC or Queen MC, so there’s going to be some changes in how they act and think. The important part of this is that main game MC is not the same MC that the LIs initially fall in love with.

If I were MC, I would be totally weirded out by this. Imagine you meet someone who’s a total stranger to you (and you are as he’s getting to know this new you) and yet he seems to know you very intimately, maybe things you don’t know yourself until he shows you. He has this knowing look and a nostalgic fondness that doesn’t make sense. It would drive me crazy and make me feel uncomfortable.

This is why I like Zayne and Caleb best as romance options for MC: because they love her for who she is in this timeline, while the others love a different version of her who lived very different lives. If I found out the truth, I’d constantly be doubting which version the man I loved cared for the most and think he was trying to find traces of other-me in me. Heaven knows I couldn’t take that blow on my mental health, and think about MC who’s life is a whirlwind right now. Girl does not deserve that kind of stress on top of everything.

Ikemen Prince Act 4 Prologue Summary

I pretty much have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t trust me, and you shouldn’t either. This summary is not guaranteed to be accurate, it’s mostly written for myself to follow along with all the lore that was just dropped.

Emma has had a recurring dream where she finds a book in a beautiful rose garden and reads it. Unfortunately, the book is unfinished, and leaves her feeling unsatisfied. We then get a summary of Acts 1 and 2 - Emma was chosen as Belle, the woman to choose the next king of Rhodolite from a selection of 8 princes. She also has to go undercover due to the visit of 3 foreign princes. Ultimately, she gets through her trials, chooses a good king, doesn’t get entangled with anyone, and avoids being chained up in Gilbert’s love dungeon. This should count as a happy ending to the story, but it leaves Emma feeling unfulfilled. She wants to have her own adventures, learn more things, meet new people, and maybe fall in love with someone.

Emma eventually wakes up from her flashback nap only to find that she is still in the bookstore, having fallen asleep while reading a book. Just as she starts to get up to close the shop, she realizes she’s not alone.

The shop’s owner and her adopted ‘too young to be a dad’ not-father has returned. He often travels the world, purchasing and selling rare books, and is back from his last year-long trip.

Though he is not a native to Rhodolite, and still wears the beautiful, eye-catching clothes from his native home in Ruby, he has set up a permanent shop in Rhodolite’s capital city. And, he has taken care of Emma since she was a child.

Akatsuki, the shop owner, reveals that he knows all about Emma’s time as Belle, as Sariel had been sending him regular letters. He had hurried home when he heard that pipsqueak from Obsidian had also shown up, but it looks like Emma got through that ordeal just fine without him.

Emma assures Akatsuki that nothing major had happened during her time as Belle, and she had actually enjoyed it. It had given her a new perspective and opened up new avenues of interest for her.

Akatsuki points at the book Emma had been napping on and asks if that’s why she’s changed from romance novels to studying continental history.

This segues into Emma admitting that she feels trapped in a small world since her last experiences and wants to travel the world just like Akatsuki does. Akatsuki offers to take her with him on his next trip.

Emma is excited, and Akatsuki tells her that as his valued employee, it’s time for her to learn how to purchase books as well.

Akatsuki unfurls a map and sits with Emma. While not usually a problem, these days things are a lot more dangerous than they were. Emma asks if it’s the 3-country alliance between Tanzanite, Ruby, and Acroite. She heard about it briefly during her time as Belle.

And yes, that’s exactly the problem. Right now, the countries are not hostile, but this could be the calm before the storm. Akatsuki asks if, despite knowing of the danger, will Emma leave the relative safety of Rhodolite and travel to these countries with him.

If this had been before her time as Belle, Emma probably would have refused. But now, after meeting the princes of Rhodolite, Emma agrees without hesitation.

So, the next step is to choose the country. Each has its own dangers, but it is how Akatsuki will get his rare books. Notably, Akatsuki is somewhat hesitant about going to Ruby.

Since this is her training trip, Akatsuki generously lets Emma choose their destination. To help her decide, Emma asks Akatsuki to tell her about each country.

Tanzanite

Tanzanite is the land of divination and illusion. Everything is determined by the living god.

The living god is a person born with silver hair and silver eyes. But - it’s not just his appearance that is unique - he is clairvoyant beyond anyone in recorded history, each of his prophesies/predictions has come true. He is considered a miracle bestowed upon Tanzanite by god.

Meanwhile, in Tanzanite

In the Tanzanite throne room, filled with people bristling with excitement, a huge moon shines down as if protecting the people.

With one word, the living god Azel is able to silence the entire vast room of people. With a benevolent visage, Azel tells the crow that god has this spoken and tells them to develop the policies to follow the divine will. Or don’t, it’s their choice whether or not to follow divine will. Just don’t make a choice that they will regret. The heavens will be watching.

Finished, Azel stands up and simultaneously the crowd falls to their knees, their heads pressed against the floor. Among the crowd, the King of Tanzanite tells Azel that there is a banquet being held in his honor and asks him to attend. Azel politely declines - he can’t imagine anyone would enjoy their meal if god were to attend. He’ll just quietly return home, no need to see him off. He bids everyone a farewell, praying that god will bless them.

As he leaves the group, Azel finds himself alone in a quiet hallway lit only by the moon, the night's natural calm returning. Or almost alone.

A woman is waiting for him, dressed in provocative dancer’s garb. She is carrying a variety of dishes and asks if he’s in a good mood. Azel thanks her for her consideration, but he must decline. The woman points out that he already declined the banquet held by the king, but after that divination, he must be hungry. At this, Azel’s traitorous stomach growls. Again, Azel thanks her and declines, mentioning that he is actually in a hurry, and could she get out of his way?

The woman moves to block his path completely as Azel tries to brush past her. Azel loses it, calling her stupid and refusing to understand him no matter what he says. He trips the woman over his foot, and she falls to the ground, dropping all the food.

Azel feels so sorry . . . For the wasted food. His eyes full of compassion, he laughs and asks the woman to lick up the food. She is stunned, and Azel explains that it goes against his morals to waste food. He gesture at an upturned bowl of soup and tells her to crawl to it like a dog and lick it up so it isn’t wasted.

Of course, Azel isn’t a tyrannical monster, he’s not forcing the woman to do anything. It’s her freedom to choose to follow the living god’s will or not.

The woman hesitates, but in the end, she brings her face down to the soup and licks it up. Soon, her body grows hot and her gaze clouds with lust, and she looks up at Azel. Azel surmises the soup must have been laced with an aphrodisiac- he guesses the poor woman’s fortune isn’t good at all today.

Or rather, she is extremely fortunate. The living god, Azel, will keep this a secret between them and won’t tell anyone about her misdeeds.

Azel walks past the woman and calls over his shoulder that she can feel free to take care of herself, or any other option she might have available to her. He will take his leave now.

The woman reaches out to try to cling to his legs and tells him that she loves him. She would do anything, give up anything for their living god. She asks Azel if these feelings she has for him truly is a sin?

(Azel does not appreciate his almost-rapist declaring love)

Azel turns around and tells her that god doesn’t love anyone, since it doesn’t give him any advantage. Well, maybe if she gave him the same amount of money Silvio does, he would consider it. But as she is, she has nothing he wants.

Azel thinks the woman still doesn’t understand, so he will say it plainer. Get out of his sight, he can’t stand her. The woman gasps as the compassion drains from Azel’s face. His eyes are as cold as a desert night, and he looks down on her as if she is an insect.

Most of the time, it’s not love that people like her feel, it’s greed drowning stupid women like her. Under the moonlight, Azel laughs coldly and without any sense of compassion.

Everyone in this country protected by god is living a happy dream. On the day the dream crumbles away, Azel wonders when people will get over the shock and laugh with him.

Acroite

The country is built on a steep mountain range where it snows year-round. Everyone follows strict laws, making it the safest country on the continent. The laws are enforced by the Keepers of the Laws, people who can set aside their humanity and rule everything fair and balanced.

Recently, the penalties for lawbreaking have become harsher and more severe, but the country is extremely stable and orderly. If someone commits a crime, the Keepers of the Laws will make you pay.

Meanwhile, in Acroite

Snowflakes, large enough to be mistaken for flower petals, flutter down on the houses, coating everything in a white winter wonderland scene.

The lamp-lit street is bustling and full of people, but unlike other cities, there are groups of people missing. There are no beggars, drunks, or youths itching for a fight. It is because in this country, those activities are illegal, and one can expect to be swiftly arrested.

However, there is a corner where a large group of women have gathered, all jockeying for position. One woman after another asks Matthias to join them at a party, or for dinner. Matthias politely thanks them and explains that he doesn’t want to be late for work.

Matthias Osbrink, the First Prince of Acroite, the Keeper of the Law. He has blond hair the color of the fading rays of twilight and sad eyes the color of snow in shadow. While he has a stiff demeanor- he is still considered very appealing. The women around him gaze at him with enchanted expressions.

He combs back his hair with a sigh, to the delight of the women watching, and hurries away. A fellow judge walks next to him, patting him on the back sympathetically. He teases Matthias for being so popular with the ladies.

Matthias complains that his coworker didn’t help him at all, after all, Matthias is famous for not being good at dealing with women.

The coworker agrees that he knows that, but unfortunately, he is too busy being envious of Matthias’ luck with women to help him out. If anything, he wanted to switch places.

Matthias asks if his coworker noticed the look in those women’s eyes. They were the eyes of a warrior, determined to annihilate the enemy.

The coworker is taken aback, he was certain they were just lovely women.

Matthias complains that he doesn’t care if they are beautiful or not, the problem is that they are not his soulmate.

His ideal woman is someone who doesn’t venerate him, nor does she look at him like she’s preparing for war. In fact, she’s the type of person who would kiss him goodbye in the morning while adjusting his tie. Afterward, she would smile gently as she waved goodbye and . . .

Yes, yes, this isn’t the first time Matthias’ coworker has heard this fantasy. Honestly, he would say it is starting to get embarrassing, but they passed that mark a long time ago.

Quietly, Matthias’ coworker asks if he’s okay. Matthias points out that he’s spent the past ten minutes explaining how he’s not okay and needs to be rescued from these warrior women.

That’s not what Mathias’ coworker meant. The defendant for today’s trial is Matthias’ friend.

Matthias summarizes his relationship with the defendant. They were roommates at the Royal Academy, and when they joined the National Guard together, they were in the same unit. Matthias recalls him as being a good person, with a cheerful personality, smart, and witty. And, unlike Matthias’s coworker, was good with handling women and could help Matthias out of the situation before.

(Conflict of interest? What is that?)

Matthias sees no problem with handling the trial. After all, he is a member of the Osbrink family.

The seat of the country’s justice, the royal court, was filled with a solemn crowd of defendants, lawyers, state officials, investigators, and a large number of citizens. The five judges, the Keepers of Law, sit high above with everyone watching them.

Matthias summons the defendant, accused of selling secret Acroite military information, forward to testify. While the defendant looks haggard, there is a gleam of hope in his eye. It is well known that the defendant was friends with the Keeper of Law, Matthias.

After the testimony, Matthias rules that there is no reason to exonerate the defendant from his crimes. The defendant disagrees, he made a mistake, yes, but death is too heavy a punishment for it. Matthias disagrees, the law is the law, and as a citizen of Acroite, the defendant must abide by the sentence. The execution will take place in five days at noon.

The defendant collapses, and Matthias watches him being taken away with snow-shadow eyes. With that, Matthias ends the trial and closes the court.

After everyone leaves, Matthias remains behind in the empty courtroom. In the same emotionless voice, he used when he proclaimed the sentence, Matthias mutters that he did the right thing just now. He’s the Crown Prince of Acroite, the land of snow and laws. It’s his duty to condemn and punish all evil.

Ruby

The last country on the list of options is Ruby, the land of Cherry Blossoms and Turbulent Times. The situation is complicated, the country is in a 3-way civil war, each with foreign backing. In theory, there is a royal family, but they’re all on opposite sides.

There is, however, a safe area, in Kagari-Yaksha’s territory.

Yaksha? Emma asks Akatsuki to explain that.

It’s a title of sorts given to one of the faction leaders, a true battle fanatic who has never lost a fight. If they go under his protection, they’ll be safe. For now. As long as he doesn’t decide that they’re his enemies.

Meanwhile, in Ruby

A group of men run through the forest, hoods low over their heads and swords hanging from their belts. When they near a red-tiled castle illuminated by lanterns, they halt and gather to strategize.

A voice begins counting them, 100, 200, at least less than 400. The men all start and grab at their swords, searching the darkness for the voice.

Without a sound, a man with fiery red hair and green eyes appears before them. He asks if they were planning on launching a night attack with so many worthless people. Honestly, they’re barely even worth killing. Compared to all the other factions, these people are barely more than half-trained children. The man asks if they are still planning on going through with their attack. If they give up and turn around now, he’ll let them leave.

One of the attackers notes his hair and eyes and identifies him as Kagari, the Yaksha. Another attacker laughs, explaining that from the rumors, he was expecting a beast of a man, but instead its just some pretty guy. It’s not bad to be disappointed from time to time. Besides, even if he is the warrior of rumor, he is but one man against –

Another hooded attacker recoils as the speaker’s head falls to the ground. Kagari apologizes, he grew bored of waiting for the speaker to finish talking. He tells the men that he’s kind of busy, so rather than killing them one by one, he would prefer it if they just all came at him at once. Hey, even weaklings like them might give him some entertainment if they work together. When one of the attackers protests, Kagari tells him not to get angry, he’s just telling them the truth.

The difference in their ability was obvious.

Kagari notes that this is what it’s like to be weak. Even if they never met him, these men would have still died young. He dodges their attack like a wildcat, his movements quick and efficient. With each stab of his sword, a vital area is struck, and bright red droplets dance like cherry blossoms in the wind. The final attacker tries to run, but Kagari throws his sword, striking the man. Kagari bemoans how heartless people are these days, leaving their comrades to die alone.

The final attacker explains that they’re not comrades, he’s a mercenary who was just hired to do a job with them. He begs Kagari for mercy.

In this country the strong are good and the weak are evil. Therefore, a weak person like this mercenary has no place in Ruby. If he dies here and now, he doesn’t have to go through life being a weak coward who hates himself. Really, Kagari is doing him a favor.

He kills the man quickly, and then disappointedly notes that everyone else is dead.

The quiet night is interrupted again by the sound of approaching footsteps. Kagari’s subordinates arrive, and he orders them to send the bodies back to their employer. The subordinates complain that Kagari went off without them again. Kagari asks if they want to be killed along with the attackers. The subordinates grow pale and Kagari tells them that he was just joking. Mostly.

Kagari sheathes his sword, and the atmosphere lightens. He tells his subordinates that he’s fine on his own, and if they’re useless in a fight, they’ll just get in his way. But even he understands strategy enough to know that the more pieces one has, the better.

No one chases after the Yaksha when he walks away.

With an unsteady step, Kagari settles beneath a cherry tree, and notes that there is a full moon tonight. He watches some of the petals fall in front of him.

(Some days you just wanna take a nap)

The bushes next to him rustle though there is no wind. Kagari asks if they’ve come again.

A cat pops out of the bush and meows at Kagari. Kagari meows in reply and tells the cat he’s especially bloody tonight, so they should stay away. The cat doesn’t heed his warning and approaches Kagari, tail held high.

Kagari muses that if the cat lives in this country, they’re probably used to the smell of blood by now. He lies down, using his sword as a makeshift pillow. The cat trots over to his side and when he strokes under their chin, they begin to fall asleep.

Kagari complains that the cat is too small, too fragile, and too forgetful to survive. They’re going to die soon. Then again, the cat is choosing to sleep next to the Yaksha, a good choice to live a long life.

A shadow flickers in Kagari’s eyes and he pulls his sword close to himself. He wonders when the next battle will be. Tomorrow, the day after?

Unfortunately fighting doesn’t put food on the table. If things continue, he may starve to death. He needs to hurry up before that happens, and then everything will be easier.

Rhodolite

Finished talking about the four countries, Akatsuki turns to Emma and asks which country she has chosen.

Emma thinks that all the countries are interesting, and any one of them would be a good choice. After listening to Akatsuki, Emma chooses.

All of my thought on the possible Morro return and then some, in one long rant about characters, powers, relationships, and ages:

The Morro minifig and the possibility of Morro soon being a character in Dragons Rising means we will soon also get more lore on the Departed realm AND the Cursed realm.

Im hoping this will not only give us world building lore, but Morro scenes and lore, as well as a possible hint at the fact he and Garmadon hung out when they were both dead, and also a lot more dead characters like Soul Archer, Bansha, Wrayth, Howla, Ghoultar, and previously alice characters like the previous king and queen, dr Julien, maybe some old friends of the fsm too to get some lore on him and how Lloyd’s element might work.

If they show Dr Julien as a ghost i hope they introduce Echo Zane against as either his own character or as Mr E as well as an explanation on why he left him.

Morro coming back is actually so important when it comes to the story in regards to the two realms of the dead because not only is Morro likely to be the most knowledgeable about BOTH, but whatever the ninja will need or have to do is likely to end up in the cursed realm and they would need Morro to help them. Not to mention he’s also the only trustworthy ghost who would know all the information that they would need.

Using him can also help give more Euphrasia scenes and story and let us see her grow too.

Im scared as to how they might portray Morro, since before he was a brat, then he was strangely calm and sarcastic, but he’s also really strategic and smart in what he does and super talented, so i hope they don’t portray his character wrong. I think it really a huge 50/50 on it since its been ages since Morro’s last scene so it can’t be that bad but its kinda scary to think what might happen cause if they do mess up his character (no matter how limited it is) it would be really disappointing.

Morro would is also likely to be introduced in either a super over dramatic way, a sudden and hidden surprise kinda way, or the most stupidest way possible. Examples: Morro flying in and kicking ass as he saves the ninja or someone the ninja know which leads them having a conversation as to their situations where the ninja and co are super untrusting with Morro who lowkey understands but doesn’t wanna give a damn, Morro is introduced as a faceless/random character who no one knows and helps the ninja in their recent adventure until eventually something makes his reveal his identity, or Morro just kinda appears and follows along because being dead can be boring.

Genuinely though I’m so excited to see it all happen because Morro is such a great character with such a huge lack on information on him, and it would be a good way to help develop some characters and give characters who haven’t had a lot of attention to get some. Euphrasia can train with him and learn her element better, we could get a Cole arc about his previous ghostlyness and maybe it could be affecting him even now, maybe Some bonding between Nya and Morro about elements of Wojira, and the obvious angst of the whole possession incident and how they should deal with it after years of not seeing each other, Kai being incredibly cautious and Lloyd being unsure how to react, and maybe Morro could help point Zane to Pixal because Morro and Pixal is probably the best duo ever.

Then we also need to take in consideration the fact that Morro does not have an element anymore, and unless they pull some weird elemental lore shi like “Morro is the first elemental master of wind so he can still control it too” he won’t ever have one. So far with a lot of non elemental characters or when elemental masters lose their element they are shown to be incredibly weak and unable to defend themselves, which is incredibly stupid to me. So i al hoping to imagine that Morro is a straight up badass with his hand to hand and weapons combat. Just realising this but whilst all of the non elemental masters are shown as weak, if you’re non-human you’re an exception to that rule. So maybe he will be fine in that aspect.

I also hope they don’t portray him as weaker then the ninja, BUT ALSO don’t portray the ninja as weaker than him. It’s always annoying when people do that when it’s more logical they’d be equals.

You know maybe they might resurrect Morro too but i don’t feel like it would be the best idea knowing Ninjago. They wouldn’t portray it the best and it would end up being a mess that might just ruins his character. But in my little au’s i can imagine him getting resurrected by accident and getting stuck with Wu’s element.

A theme I’m happy to see them continue to explore in Arcane is this idea of legacy. You have four characters right now who are “heirs to the throne”—Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, and Mel.

Vi was the most explicit heir apparent in the beginning. It was clear she was expected to eventually take over looking after the Lanes from Vander, and she took that very seriously, which is why she took his talks about responsibility and the costs of war so to heart. It will be interesting seeing her directly confront her past in the form of Warwick in the next arc.

When Jinx was Powder, she didn’t have to worry about taking care of others. Sure, she wanted to help, but Vi and Vander were there. Under Silco, she was a weapon, but still never given the authority of Sevika. Her Season 2 arc looks like it might be her turn to learn her version of the lesson Vander was teaching Vi while also following Silco’s revolutionary ideals.

Caitlyn and Mel both initially rejected their mothers’ legacies while still benefitting from the immense privilege that came with their names. With Caitlyn, we’re seeing how quickly it can be to wield that privilege when pushed and the the kind of damage that can be done, and with Mel we’re seeing how difficult it can be to fight and escape your family’s demons (figuratively and literally).

Personally, I’m very excited to see where this goes. I have some personal predictions based on the little lore I’ve learned from the game, but Act 2 can’t come quickly enough.

Hmmm! It depends on what you’re looking for! And I will tell you the Hells has been retconned to (heh) Hell and back so feel to take what lore you like and ignore other bits, DnD is supposed to be fun. The Nine Hells is my current hyper fixation though so I stay reading about it lol. I get a lot of my stuff from everywhere but I can definitely provide some links!:

So books!

Descent into Avernus: This is a great world building book if you’re looking to learn more about Avernus or Zariel, I have this book so I can vouch that it’s great. Even not just for world building, the campaign itself is super cool and gives you the option to be EVIL which is so lacking in a lot of RPGs these days.

Chains of Asmodeus: is a great reference for like the entirety of the Hells I haven’t dug through it completely but it’s good. Don’t agree with everything but! Take and leave right lol…Here’s a little link to it free online and a bunch of other DnD assets for freeeee :3

The Godborn: I’m holding off on ordering this to have in my own collection bc the Twilight Wars comes first but my friend let me go through theres and for characterization of Mephistopheles this book it’s great. This is a novel different than the two books above which are more DnD adventures just so you know.

Twilight War Series: These I haven’t read but follows Magadon Kest who is Raphael’s brother, I ordered Shadowbred since I’m about to finish Homeland and I’ll let you guys know if it’s any good! But I’m very excited about starting this series. These are novels.

Brimstone Angels: I have mixed feelings about these but I have used sections of it for reference, good stuff for kinda of conceptualizing cambion behavior. It’s a bit…idk. It’s not always to my tastes but it is a good book to paw through if you’re looking for cambion stuff specifically. These are novels.

Hells layers details! Great stuff and great art, of course I’ve set it to Cania bc duh but there’s a lot of stuff there.

It’s lacking its barebones but it’ll give you your base lore on characters, can’t knock it bc we need it. And it does have a lot of stuff.

For Meph specifically ^ DMs talking shop about Meph’s characterization, it’s funny and I agree with a lot of their interpretations. This is a sillier one though.

Some Baalphegor lore bc I’m miss Baalphegor’s number one fan!!!!! Not enough about her…my missing babyGIRL!!!!

Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark: Some of the stuff in this is as crazy to me as Raphy ruling over all the Hells but I do like Mephistopheles’s characterization in this sooooo!!!! I watched a playthrough and if you want Meph mannerisms for writing and stuff I think this game is clutch. His voice in it is…hot. 🤭

I hope some of these point you in lore directions you like and gives you some interesting threads to follow! The Hells are vast and I’m still learning a lot. I love it though. Yay Hells :D

On my modern day Harringrove and Munver bull shit because I have today off and I’m stuck inside 😈 Encouraged by @intothedysphoria so I’m making these rambling thoughts official LFL lore just for you 😘

Flash forward several years. Steve is retired from OF, Billy does research at NASA, Jason is an aquatic veterinarian with a specialty in sharks, and Eddie is still making music (touring a smidge less but not much). Steve and Billy, in a move that shocks absolutely no one, end up having six kids. Jason and Eddie shock everyone, except Steve, Billy, and Chrissy, and also have six kids and Jason is trying to convince Eddie they need seven to “win” but that’s a story for another time.

They are neighbors in Hidden Hills and it goes exactly how you think it would.

Steve is the PTA president and he only went for the position because some catty bitch (original pres) tried to use his OF career to get him kicked off the PTA and shunned when he first joins. Said catty bitch also has a son in the same kindergarten class as one of their daughters and he made fun of her for having pigtails because they’re “for babies.” So Steve declares war. Catty bitch has a famous cookie recipe they enter into the bake sale each year and Steve specifically makes a new rule that you can’t enter the same recipe twice just to fuck with them. He and Jason come up with increasingly petty ways to mess with the judgemental parents and it brings them absolute joy.

Jason becomes the HOA president because he was appalled by the lack of coordination in Christmas decorations in their neighborhood the first Christmas there. One of their neighbors has a MAGA sticker on the back of his truck so Jason and Steve gather intel and find out the dude’s homophobic, racist, and generally gross. He’s never messed with Jason directly, but Jason takes it personally and sets out to ruin this man’s entire gig. He’s measuring this guy’s grass every day, changing HOA rules specifically to target this man’s house and belongings, fining him left and right, and just being an absolute menace. Eddie gets a little worried the guy might retaliate but Jason is secure in his knowledge that the man is petrified of him.

I think they would bully Billy into coaching a little league basketball team and Eddie into teaching a music class and then absolutely badger them for gossip. By that point, Billy and Eddie have not only resigned themselves to it they get genuinely excited to tell them about what they’ve learned from the other parents. They still don’t like to watch true crime with them though lol

I have been so oc pilled lately so your first impression of me is gonna be this concept art dump :3

But yea welcome to my page! My name is Khalil, my pronouns are he/they, and I am a 20yo black queer furry artist. I love to use tons of colors in my art, but especially purple! I will be posting furry oc art and lore, and hopefully commissions and adopts!

DISCLAIMER: I will be covering mature topics in my OC story and my art will contain artistic nudity, suggestive themes, and potentially violence. So I’d give my account a rating of 16+, and dw I will add content warnings to the more sensitive things <3

One day I would love to bring my oc story to life in some media form, maybe animation, webcomic, or even music videos, because this story is really personal to me and has helped me process some things, notably my gender identity struggles and a toxic relationship I was in.

Also there will be SO much representation! I’m talking furry characters that are POC (especially black), plus sized, queer, and have experienced various forms of trauma. I also have a disabled character in the works, she is an ambulatory wheelchair user so I want to learn how to draw independent wheelchairs and canes/mobility aids in general, and how to properly write her. And with the skills I learn from writing and designing her, I hope to design more disabled characters and also be able to draw peoples mobility aids for comms :)

I cannot state enough how excited I am, like I have this whole world in my head and I am finally building the confidence to bring it to life! Stay tuned to follow along on my journey and to learn about my characters! 💜

You walked through the vibrant streets of Vancouver, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. You’d booked an acting class here a few months ago, trying to push yourself further into the acting world. The online reviews were glowing, and the idea of learning from a professional in the heart of such a bustling city seemed like the perfect opportunity to grow. You had always been passionate about performing, and maybe this class would be a stepping stone to something bigger.

After your session, you decided to grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant. The place wasn’t overly fancy but had a warm, cozy atmosphere, and you were craving something comforting after the long day. You stepped inside, the scent of garlic and herbs filling the air, making your stomach growl.

As you waited for your food at a small table near the window, you casually scrolled through your phone. You had some downtime before your next class, and it was nice to unwind for a bit. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed a familiar face walk in. You couldn’t place it right away, but something about him seemed recognizable. Then it clicked.

Walker Scobell.

He was the lead in the upcoming Percy Jackson series. You’d been following the show closely since you’d always been a huge fan of the books. Seeing him in person was a bit surreal, but you didn’t want to act like some star-struck fan. He was just a regular person grabbing lunch, right?

Still, you couldn’t help but glance in his direction now and then. To your surprise, he caught your gaze, and instead of looking away, he smiled warmly and walked over to your table.

“Hey, are you a Percy Jackson fan?” he asked casually, his voice friendly but curious.

You blinked in surprise for a moment before nodding. “Yeah, actually. I love the books, and I’ve been keeping up with the show news.”

Walker’s smile widened. “That’s awesome! It’s always cool to meet people who are excited about the series. Mind if I sit?”

“Of course, go ahead,” you said, trying to keep your composure. It wasn’t every day you had a conversation with someone in a major TV show, after all.

Walker sat down across from you, and the two of you started talking. The conversation flowed easily, jumping between Percy Jackson lore, favorite moments from the books, and how excited you both were for the upcoming show. You couldn’t help but feel a bit giddy inside—this was a dream scenario for any fan of the series.

After a while, Walker glanced over at a nearby table. “Hey, so, I’m actually here with some of the cast. Do you want to come join us?”

You blinked, momentarily stunned by the offer. “Wait, really? I don’t want to intrude…”

“You wouldn’t be intruding at all! We’re all fans of the series too, so we’d love to chat with someone who gets it,” he said with a grin.

Not wanting to pass up the opportunity, you nodded, and Walker led you over to a larger table where a few other familiar faces sat. They greeted you warmly, introducing themselves as you took a seat. The energy at the table was casual and fun—despite their fame, everyone seemed grounded and easy to talk to.

You found yourself falling into conversation naturally, your initial nerves fading as you realized that they were just like any other group of friends hanging out. The topic shifted between acting, life on set, and your shared love for the Percy Jackson universe. You mentioned that you were in Vancouver for an acting class, and that’s when one of the adults sitting at the table perked up.

“Wait, which class are you taking?” a woman in her early forties asked, looking intrigued. You recognized her as one of the directors of the series, though you didn’t want to come off too intense by pointing it out.

You told her the name of the class, and she smiled. “That’s actually one of the programs I recommend to newer actors. How are you finding it?”

“It’s been amazing so far,” you replied, grateful that the conversation had steered away from fan topics. “I’ve been learning a lot, and the instructors have been really encouraging. I feel like I’m pushing myself in ways I haven’t before.”

The woman nodded thoughtfully, exchanging a glance with another adult at the table. “That’s great to hear. You know, we’re always looking for new talent, especially people who are passionate about the source material. Have you thought about auditioning for something bigger?”

Your heart skipped a beat. “I mean, I’ve thought about it, but I don’t have a ton of professional experience yet. I’m hoping to get there one day, though.”

She leaned back in her chair, a slight smile on her face. “You know, we’ve been casting some smaller roles for the series, and since you already seem to click with the cast… How about coming in for an audition? It wouldn’t hurt to try.”

You stared at her in disbelief, unsure if you’d heard correctly. Was she really offering you a chance to audition for Percy Jackson?

“Wait, are you serious?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.

“Absolutely,” she said with a nod. “No guarantees, of course, but from what I’ve seen and heard tonight, I think you could be a good fit. If you’re interested, I can set something up.”

Your mind raced, trying to process what was happening. You’d come to Vancouver for a class, hoping to improve your acting skills, and now you were being offered a chance to audition for one of your favorite series. It felt too good to be true, but the sincerity in her voice made you believe it was real.

“I… I would love that,” you managed to say, trying to keep your voice steady despite the excitement bubbling inside you.

“Great,” she said, pulling out her phone to exchange contact information with you. “I’ll get in touch with you in the next few days to set something up. In the meantime, just keep doing what you’re doing. You’re already off to a great start.”

The rest of the night passed in a blur. You continued chatting with the cast and crew, your heart racing with a mix of excitement and disbelief. You couldn’t believe what had just happened, but as you walked back to your hotel later that evening, you couldn’t stop smiling.

This could be the start of something big, and you couldn’t wait to see where it led.

First of all, who is your char? Are they Tav or Durge? How did the whole adventure changed them?

Darcy is a Tav! She was raised with a circle of Druids when her parents fled to be together. Her mother was human (noble wizard), and her father an elf (wood elf sorcerer). Her and her little sister Maisie were 10 and 5 when they lost their parents. They went to live the noble life with their grandparents until Darcy was age 18. She then left to go on her own adventure of looking for her parents (were they actually gone or not? This is her current TT adventure) and living among Druids until she was snatched by the natuloid 10 years later.

Darcy was always kind and always defended those she loved. When the adventure first began, she found herself scared to get too close to anyone in fear she would lose them like she had her parents. She became close to every single one of them, however, and would defend any of them with her life.

How were companions' quests completed? Did any of companions died?

All companions had a good ending!

Gale gave up the crown to Mystra and became a professor at Blackstaff Academy, Astarion stayed a spawn, seeking out a cure for him to walk in the sunlight again. Also, fun fact: He ends up meeting Darcy’s sister Maisie and the two get married and she uses a wish spell for him to walk in the sunlight again ❤️, Lae’zel joined forces to defeat Valakith in the astral plane, Wyll became the blade of Avernus, going with Karlach to find a cure for her heart. Her and Wyll find a cure and they are back home safe and sound! Shadowheart became a Selunite and ends up meeting Darcy and Maisie’s brother Oliver 🥰. Jaheira stays in Baldur’s Gate, but visits Darcy in Waterdeep often as she essentially adopts Darcy and Maisie as her own daughters and even walked Darcy down the aisle for her and Gale’s wedding. Halsin takes care of the orphans and of course the Owlbear cub 🤭 I haven’t figured out Minthara’s after game life just yet, but I know it will be a good one ❤️

Who did they romance? Where do they and their LI live after game?

As evidence by her last name, Darcy fell head over heels for the wizard, although she was hesitant at first to fall in love, but Gale completely swept her off her feet. They live happily in Waterdeep with him being a professor of magic at Blackstaff and Darcy being a Druidic healer and opening one of the first hospitals in Waterdeep with her fellow Druids. (Yes I fudged lore just a little with that one 😅)

Do they have children or decided to be without them?

They actually do have two children! Their daughter Elanor (they call her Elle for short) is currently 4 years old and already starting to learn magic as she will be a wizard like her father. She even summoned her own tressym after they broke the news that she would have a little sibling (she wanted a kitten, not a little brother). Their son Taron was just born, but he will be a Druid like his mother 🥰

So, about Baldur's Gate! How is it going? Who is in a council? Who (from npcs we met in game) live there?

I actually haven’t thought much about this one. I know Baldur’s Gate is currently being rebuilt from the cult and they do visit from time to time. Most of their companions, however, came to live with them in Waterdeep.

Does your char and companions continue to connect after game or they prefer to not see each other?

Oh no, they are very much involved! As mentioned earlier, Jaheira is an honorary mother to Darcy and grandmother to her two little ones. Also as mentioned before, Astarion married Darcy’s younger sister Maisie (yes he and Gale are BIL’s 😂), and Shadowheart ended up falling in love with Darcy and Maisie’s older brother Oliver. (Darcy and Maisie find out about him later on in the story as he was taken from their mother at birth). Karlach and SH pretty much make themselves at home in Darcy and Gale’s tower, always coming over unannounced (Karlach is a sucker for Gale’s cooking). They also meet up with all the other companions from time to time! Halsin even made a wooden cradle for their baby with ducks carved into it 🥰

Did they find any friends among npcs?

I really should start writing more on this one! But for sure Alfira, Rolan, Dammon, and Barcus remain in touch with them as they all attended her and Gale’s wedding!

Free question! Any specific headcanons?

Too many to name (I really need to post all my writing on here). Besides Darcy’s siblings marrying two of the companions, I always HC that Gale takes Darcy to the beach in Waterdeep often because it’s where she is the happiest 🥹

CHAPTER I: BET

“Jusarlie Grieffang.” Jusarlie shakes the guest’ hand softly. Afraid to hurt her since it has been so long since he interacted with humans.

“Iolana Sterling.” Their guest smiles.

That last name was a jumpscare for Jusarlie, but he managed to put on a poker face.

“Hey, your name is familiar… are you a writer?” Iolana squints her eyes a little.

“Oh! Yes, I am. Do you like to read books?” Jusarlie’s eyes immediately lit up when Iolana mentioned that.

“I love books! I think the very first book that I read so willingly is one of your masterpieces. Mind Ruler? That was amazing and mind opening.” Iolana tries to recollect her memory.

If Jusarlie’s eyes were not sparkling before, they really sparkling now. His books reached outsiders! She is a Sterling, but still, this lifts his mood so much!

“Even your first book? I’m truly honored! Thank you for enjoying my works, Iolana!” Jusarlie giggles like a teenage girl in love.

“I’m the one who’s feeling very honored to meet you unexpectedly like this. You’re such an amazing writer. I love your brain.” Iolana totally adores Jusarlie’s books.

“Writing is just my hobby, I only do it when I have a spare time.” Jusarlie is still on cloud nine after what Iolana just said.

“Your lore is very amazing, what is your daily activity, then?” Iolana is still in awe.

“I’m a beginner professor at one of our schools here in Krashoviel.” Jusarlie smiles with his eyes too, his fangs are showing and they’re so perfect. Wow, good dental hygiene.

Iolana is not even hiding her jaw drop expression. “You’re the coolest in the world. There are no such things as beginner professor…”

“Iolana, stop… you’re complimenting me too much.” Jusarlie giggled.

“What is your favorite book, Jusarlie?” Iolana had no idea how Jusarlie loved that question so much.

“Finally, someone asked me my favorite book!” He looks so excited. “It’s Endless Cycle by Roberto Cairneye! It’s amazing.”

“Classics! I swear we have it in my father bookshelf, I regret the fact that I haven’t read it now.” Iolana sighed, real sigh, unlike Jusarlie’s.

“Hey, it’s fine. I can always give you a copy! Now, tell me your favorite book!” Jusarlie is beginning to feel interested in Iolana.

“It’s your masterpiece, Under the Solid Ground! I really love how you picture history perfectly with your words. I had such a wonderful time learning the basic history of Krashoviel with that amazing book.” Iolana is truly a loyal reader.

“Iolana, you made my day hundredfold better. Thank you so much for loving my works. Truly, I’m very grateful.” Jusarlie swore he will protect Iolana if the others still want to eat them.

“It’s the other way around, Jusarlie!” Iolana giggled.

“By the way, is your book lover dad the Tearle Sterling?” Jusarlie asked curiously.

“Yes, that’s right! He is my beloved father.” Iolana nodded.

“Ah, I knew it. He was my favorite teacher back then when he was still young.” Jusarlie admitted. “He was a legendary professor. I wanted to be one because of him.”

“Really?!” Iolana found this really interesting.

Time passes by as they’re talking, it doesn’t feel like a burden anymore to Jusarlie. Iolana is such an amazing person. She is far more brilliant than any other humans he had encountered before, he even dared to says that she’s probably the most brilliant person than any of the people in their kingdom. It’s like a fresh breath of air for a prisoner.

“Apologize for making you wait.” Jestel made them stop their conversation. He smiled at Iolana and offered his hand to shake hers, “Jestel Sinflame.”

“I should be the one who’s apologizing, Mr. Sinflame.” She smiles back at Jestel, her eyes are smiling too. She shakes his hand, “Iolana Sterling.”

“You can be casual here, just call me Jestel. I’m not that old.” Jestel is still smiling.

“You clearly have aging blindness, Uncle.” Jusarlie giggled.

“We’re in the same age, Nephew.” Jestel threatened Jusarlie. “Now go and see Saine to see what task you have to do.”

Jusarlie nods and doesn’t forget to say goodbye to Iolana, of course. He knew that they wouldn’t have to eat her today. He feels relieved. Iolana is a brilliant girl and she is very fun to talk to. It’s rare to find it these days, at least for him.

“Iolana,” Jestel suddenly brought Iolana’s attention back to him again.

“Yes, Mist—Jestel?” Iolana immediately responds.

“My deepest condolences for what happened to your family. Tearle Sterling was a legendary fighter.” Jestel pays some respect for Tearle.

Iolana smiles, she could feel the sincerity in Jestel’s voice. “Thank you, Jestel.”

“I’m so sorry for you. I know how it feels to lost a whole family… it feels so heart breaking, yet…”

“So fast… like a blink of an eye.” Iolana finishes Jestel’s perfectly.

“Exactly.” Jestel nodded. “Your father’s note… he said you’re a good fighter. Is that true?”

“He exaggerated that one.” Iolana giggled. “I can fight, but I won’t say I’m that good.”

“Based on what I remember, Tearle is never good at exaggerating things. I believe everything he said.” Jestel smiles.

“Alright, I give up.” Iolana chuckled softly.

“Let me walk you to your room.” They walk side by side, Jestel guides her through that big mansion of his.

“You have to acknowledge this,” Jestel paused for a second. “We’re going to give you our best facility, education, and training that you need.”

“Oh? I really didn’t expect that. I thought you were thinking about turning me into your dinner or something. Thank you so much, Jestel.” Iolana is very grateful. She was so ready for any kind of bad probability, but here she goes with the best one.

“You’re the last Sterling alive, Iolana. We wouldn’t risk witnessing the whole of Sterling go extinct. Sterling is very legendary for us.” Jestel admitted. “Did your father tell you what Sterling did during the wars?”

“He said Sterling are the doctors?” Iolana is a little unsure. They’ve been saying that Sterling is legendary, is doctor strong enough to be legendary? In the field where their patients mostly regenerated and heal so fast?

“That was after the war.” Jestel giggled after almost a decade not even caring to smile. “Sterling are our heartless fighters. Best of the best along with Phelanflame, Sarco’s family.”

Iolana listened very carefully.

“We only put them in the battlefield when the other are exhausted or the important people of our rivals show up in the battlefield.” Jestel continued. “They were vampire killers after all, even if they’re vampires themselves. We were on cloud nine when they decided to join our nation.”

“Wow, they’re a huge deal…” Iolana nods, beginning to understand why Jestel call her family legendary.

“We wouldn’t have won the last war without Sterling’s help. That’s why Slevado and Axadel tried their hardest to make your family turn their back on Krashoviel. Every nation wants Sterling on their side.”

“My father never told me about this… it’s not on the books neither…” Iolana is dumbfounded.

“Now you know, Iolana.” Jestel chuckled again. “How did you get here, by the way? It’s almost an impossible task for human.”

“Well, I know the borders are tough. I chose the west border. I used a big blanket and a rope to just… well, fly off the cliff! It’s the fastest way even though the risk is big.”

“Fly… to the gate?” Jestel is dumbfounded now. What an odd girl.

“Yes, I got nothing to lose. It was so therapeutic.” Iolana laughed at herself.

A sudden wind brush over Jestel and Iolana. It was Jusarlie who brought Iolana’s bags to her new room.

“Oh, sorry about that. Vampires have so many capabilities, I’m assuming you know about it.” Jestel continued to walk upstairs.

“Yes, I’m aware. I will train myself to get used to it, since my father barely use his power at home.” Iolana nods.

“By the way, your room is—oh, no. I apologize.” Jestel realized he made a mistake. “Your room is on the 3rd floor. I can move—”

“No, no, it’s okay! I could get a better view from the 3rd floor, right?” Iolana doesn’t want to burden Jestel.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, I will love it.” Iolana smiles widely.

“As your wish, then.” Jestel finally nods.

“Although, I have one question…”

“And that would be?” Jestel tilts his head.

“My menstrual cycle.”

“What’s that?” Jestel is purely confused.

“I bleed naturally every month through my reproduction area. Would that be a problem?”

Fucking hell, Jestel is in shock.

“What do you mean? Like bleeding? Literal blood coming out of you? Does that hurt?” Jestel is worried.

“For me, no. For my mom, sometimes. Depends on the person. Yes, it’s literal blood, it lasts for about 5 days maximum for me.” Iolana explained.

“Well, that is a problem. You have a set schedule for it, right?” Jestel is worried sick. “I should give your room high-level security.”

“It usually ends on the full moon, so around five days before full moon?” Iolana is starting to worry now.

“Alright, I’ll figure something out.” Jestel nods. He holds the door handle, “Welcome to your new room.”

Iolana eyes wander over the whole room. It’s such a big room. The right side of the room is her bed, vanity, and some sofa. On the left side of the room is an open two-story, where the upstairs are full of books and underneath the area is her walk-in-closet and bathroom. There’s also some big windows and a balcony. She loves this room.

“Wow, this room is beautiful.” Iolana adores her room.

“Hi, Iolana! I left some books for you on your desk. I arranged everything except your clothes.” Jusarlie is so smiley.

“This room is clean, because the maids clean empty room once every three days. And I left some incense! It’s good for relaxation.” Saine also smiles at her.

“Thank you, guys! I love it!” Iolana is so thankful for the fact that they welcomed her nicely like this.

“Go get some rest, while we wait for dinner time. Tonight, I’ll take you for a personality test.” Jestel informed Iolana. “Jusarlie and Saine are living on the 3rd floor as well. Saine is right across from you and Jusarlie is next to you.”

“Thank you, Jestel. Thank you so much.”

“You deserve all the love, Iolana.”

Oh, really? All the love, Jusarlie and Saine hit Jestel with their mind links.

I’m being nice, Jestel replied in their mind links.

“Alright, let’s head out. Iolana needs to rest.” Jestel is ready to go and he’s already behind the door, but Jusarlie and Saine are not moving anytime soon.

“Five minutes.” Jusarlie told him.

“No, let her rest.”

“I want to join them.” Saine plead to Jestel.

“No, I need you to do your task. Jusarlie could stay.” Jestel threatened Saine. “Come on.”

“Bye, Iolana…” Saine looks sad.

“Bye-bye, Saine!” Iolana waves and smiles.

“Bye, Uncle Jestel!” Jusarlie mocked the annoyed Saine.

“I’m going to educate you about anything you need to know!” Jusarlie sits on the floor. Iolana follows him.

“How old is Jestel again?” Iolana asked curiously.

“Three hundreds this year.” Jusarlie answered excitedly. “And I’m two hundreds ninety-eight soon!”

“Wow, is it boring?” Iolana is curious. “To live for so long…”

“Sometimes? Unless there’s a war going on, they’re kind of fun.” Jusarlie nods.

They talked for a while until it was finally two hours before dinner time. Jusarlie excuses himself because Jasper called him through mind links.

“Where’s Jusarlie?” Hiael asked Saine.

“With Iolana. Ugh, he’s so annoying.”

“Still with Iolana?” Sarco laughs.

“Besides from her annoying smell and the fact that she is cute, what’s so special about her? Most of you just seems… in love?” Jasper is unsure.

“Not me,” Ricardo chuckled.

“Saine, Jusarlie, and Jestel.” Jasper specified.

“I’m not in love.” Jestel shook his head calmly.

“Give him a day or two.” Sarco laughs at Jestel’s confidence. They’re best friends, Sarco could read him like an open book. Jestel is in love for sure.

“Jusarlie is in love.” Jestel is sure about his feelings.

“Quit it. Let him be, it’s been long since he found a friend that he could talk to like that.” Hiael is wiser than them. “Who knows? Maybe she could bring the bubbly side of Jusarlie again.”

“Absolutely not. Let’s make a bet.” Ricardo laughed.

“I bet he will not change, and he will just be soft towards that girl. If I’m wrong, I’ll get you guys shoes fresh from Cynfael.” Sarco chuckled.

“I bet the old grumpy Jusarlie will be gone. If I’m wrong, I’ll teach the kids at Underwood Orphanage how to fight.” Hiael made the others shocked.

“Now this is getting serious!” Ricardo couldn’t believe Hiael. “I bet Jusarlie won’t change. It’s just temporary. If I’m proven wrong, I’ll look after the kids in Derrick Orphanage for a month.”

“Oh, wow!” Saine nods. “I bet he’ll change. I’ll teach the kids in Derrick Orphanage a table manner class for my bet.”

There are two main orphanages in Krashoviel and they are two different kinds for sure. Derrick Orphanage is where the crazy and naughty kids live. While Underwood Orphanage is full of insecure kids who are afraid of everything, they give up so easily.

“He will change. I’ll buy you guys new suits from Charson if it’s turn out to be wrong.” Jestel took his part in the bet too.

The others are surprised by that. If Jestel took a part in a bet, then it’s a serious bet indeed.

“He won’t change. You can order me around for three days if I’m wrong.” Jasper shrugged his shoulder.

“Have some manners, putting a bet over me? Where’s the morality?” Jusarlie appeared in an instant.

Ricardo tries to hug Jusarlie roughly and mess his hair up, but to their surprise, Jusarlie is still smiling and has no interest in being angry like he always did. Sarco is dumbfounded.

“Would you like to teach at Derrick Orphanage?” Jestel asked just to make sure it was real.

“Sure! Oh, and… Iolana said that children behave the way that behave based on their caretakers. You might want to investigate our main orphanages, Jestel. They’re our new generations, I wouldn’t want a mix of insecure kids and rebellious kids.” Jusarlie informed him.

“Oh, really? Thank you, I’ll investigate the caretakers.” Jestel nods.

“If possible, you have to ask to the children instead.” Jusarlie continued.

“What if the caretakers threatened them? It would be difficult.” Hiael speaks his mind.

“Sorry for suddenly catching up, you must ask them very smoothly. Children are naturally honest and innocent. It won’t be that hard to make them open up about their feelings. You can also watch their body language! It tells a lot.” Iolana appeared out of nowhere. She is already standing next to Jusarlie.

They’re all shocked. None of them felt her aura or even her sweet scent.

“How the hell did you do that?” Ricardo panicked.

“Do what?”

“Hiding your presence?” Jestel is as confused.

“Oh, easy! Just don’t make a sound and believe that you’re not actually there. Bad affirmations about yourself would help.” Iolana gladly shares how to do her thing.

“Why don’t you meet Hiael and Jasper? They’ve been eager to see you.” Jestel pushes Iolana softly towards Hiael and Jasper. “The others please follow me, we have to make sure our food is ready.”

“Yes, Jestel.” They headed out from that dining room to the closest office room they found.

“Hi, I’m Iolana.” Iolana smiles at Hiael and Jasper.

“Jasper.”

“Hiael Von Ruden, nice to meet you.” Hiael smiles slightly. “Sorry, Jasper is a new vampire. He hasn’t gotten used to human scent. So, if he’s being a little rude…”

“It’s totally fine. I hope you feel well about your transformation soon, Jasper.” Iolana is kind enough to say that.

Jasper smiles and nods at her. Her sweet scent is very annoying.

“What in the hell was that?” Jestel is furious.

“I fucking told you she’s the girl in the omen.” Saine chuckled.

“That was NOT normal.” Ricardo shook his head. “Her scent is very strong, she can’t just hit us with invisible aura like that.”

“She’s a Sterling, why are you so surprised by the fact that she can just make herself invisible?” Sarco giggled at their confusion.

“Because she smells like the most delicious food ever?” Ricardo is still confused. “I mean, okay! She’s in that legendary bloodline, but her scent!”

“Did you really don’t feel her presence?” Jestel asked Jusarlie again.

“I would’ve said hi immediately if I knew she was there.” Jusarlie admitted. Frustrated at Jestel’s weird panic moment.

“I wonder what she capable of in fight field.” Sarco is zoning out. Imagining how brutal she would fight him, or the other way? Maybe she has silent-killing skill?

“Jusarlie, Saine, let’s take her to Idris after dinner.” Jestel made up his mind.

“Uh, oh.” Sarco was a bit surprised when Jestel made his choice. He gets it if they’re scared of her, but taking her to Idris? The best wizard in town? That’s just comedic, they have Saine, Idris’s son, at home for a reason.

“Something is not right.” Jestel shook his head. “By the way, we have a problem. She has this menstrual cycle.”

“What is that?” Sarco is confused. “Menstru—what?”

“She basically bled through her private part every month for five days.” Jestel explained. “She said female humans have that.”

“Absolutely not.”

The talk with Hiael and Jasper only lasts for like fifteen minutes? They’re too reserved for Iolana. So, she made her excuse to go back to her room again. She chose to pick up a book from Jusarlie, the one that he said was his favorite. She reads it while waiting for dinner time.

Reaching page fity-two, Iolana heard a bell chime. Must be dinner time. She left her book open on her bed and walked out of her room. Just in time! Cause a moment later, Saine got out of his room too.

“Iolana!” Saine yelled in the corridor. “Wait up!”

“Hi, Saine!” Iolana gives him a sweet smile.

“Do you want a ride?” Saine offered.

“How do we do it?” She wanted to say yes, but she was confused.

“Excuse me,” Saine puts his hand on her waist. They instantly reached the dining room. Iolana has no idea of what just happened.

“For the love of Alexander Grieffang, what is wrong with yo—oh, hi!” Jusarlie’s sudden change of behavior shock Sarco to the core.

“Thank you, Saine. Hi, Jusarlie!” Iolana greets Jusarlie who said hi to her.

“Are you not feeling nauseous after he gave you that deathly ride?” Hiael is confused.

“Am I supposed to feel nauseous?” Iolana scratches the back of her head slowly.

“Does the effect not work on humans?” Jasper is also confused.

“Maybe not yet.” Sarco chuckled, mocking Saine.

“Or maybe she’s just stronger than you, losers.” Saine spat back.

“Even our handsome Jestel always feel nauseous if you gave him a ride.” Jusarlie reminds him of the fact that Jestel hates Saine’s little ride trip. “Humans should’ve felt the worst nauseous they ever had.”

All of a sudden, Sarco throws a vase at Iolana. Fortunately, she’s fast to catch it so it doesn’t break and make her bleed while Jasper is in the very same room with them.

“Or maybe she’s not an ordinary human, guys.” Sarco declared.

“Are you out of your fucking mind?” Jusarlie and Saine are visibly angry.

“I was just testing wave.” Sarco admitted.

“She could’ve bled and that is my favorite vase, Sarco.” Hiael reminded him.

“Are you alright?” Saine asked worriedly.

“As good as ever. I’m glad the vase didn’t break.” Iolana gave the vase gently to Hiael.

“Thank you, Beautiful. Pardon him, he’s a little sick in the head.” Hiael smiles gently to Iolana.

“For the love of Amadeus Cairneye, Iolana. We’re glad you’re okay.” Saine is worried. Iolana seriously could’ve died.

“Are you in love, Saine?” Sarco giggled.

“Get lost, Sarco.” Saine is still angry at him.

Just right on time, Jestel and Ricardo arrived in the dining room. Seeing angry Saine and Jusarlie, Jestel is curious about what just happened.

“You may sit.” Jestel asked them to sit on their chair at the dining table while he sits at the head of the table.

Sarco sits on the right side, Jusarlie on the left side. Iolana sits between Jusarlie and Ricardo. While the others are on Sarco’s side. Jasper is right across from Iolana, she tried to smile at him, but he quickly looked at the other way. She expected that.

They wait for the food to be served by the maids. Iolana feels this tense atmosphere when they serve the food. The maids are probably hating on her too, that’s alright! They’re just not used to living with humans, right?

“You may eat.” Jestel informed them and took the first bite. The others follow along except for Ricardo who’s still figuring out how to use knife and fork.

Iolana hits him softly on his leg with her own leg, and Ricardo looks at her in confusion. She slowly uses her own knife and fork, showing Ricardo how it’s done.

Sarco, Saine, and Hiael are observing that scene very carefully.

“What happened earlier?” Jestel asked them.

They turned their heads to Jestel, then to each other’s. Who’s going to tell him?

“Sarco threw Hiael’s favorite vase to Iolana. Luckily enough, Iolana caught it right on time.” Saine eyed Sarco sarcastically.

“I was just testing something.” Sarco admitted.

“You could’ve killed her. Apologize.” Jestel’s voice is calm but dominating. Iolana takes a mental note not to make him angry.

“I’m sorry, Iolana.” Sarco said half-heartedly.

“Be genuine.” Jusarlie scoffed.

“I’m sorry, Iolana.” Sarco did it wholeheartedly now.

“It’s okay, I feel relieved that the vase—”

“Go finish that sentence, I dare you.” Saine scolds Iolana. “You must be worried about yourself more than we do, Iolana. Seriously. You could’ve bled and died.”

“Sorry…” Iolana feels good. They care about her, but at the same time? Saine is scary.

“I haven’t properly introduced you to them, Iolana.” Jestel remembered his actual responsibility. “This is Sarco Phelanflame, the one who just went out of his mind and threw that vase at you.”

“Hi, Sterling.” Sarco smiles at her. Seems genuine? Iolana thinks he’s a bit odd.

“Right across you, that’s Jasper. Our new vampire. He joined eight months ago.” Jestel continues.

“Hi.” Jasper gave her the cold shoulder.

“That’s Hiael Von Ruden. He is our eldest.” Jestel continued again.

“Von Ruden? As in the Von Ruden?” Iolana was clearly surprised. Von Ruden is the royal bloodline of Slevado.

“I betrayed my nation.” Hiael explained shortly.

Iolana nods, showing that she understood now.

“And that’s our youngest, Ricardo. He’s twenty years old this year. How old are you, Iolana?” Jestel asked her curiously.

“Twenty-one this year.” Iolana answered while smiling at them.

“We’re about the same age, then.” Ricardo giggled.

Sarco couldn’t believe that. Even Ricardo is enchanted by Iolana’s charm now.

“I have a niece who usually sits next to Sarco. She is staying in the palace for a few days right now. I think you will get along with her, Iolana.” Jestel explained.

“Can’t wait to meet her.” Iolana chuckled nervously.

“I hope you feel at home, Iolana. Even though, it must be hard since we live under the same roof as this maniac.” Saine smiles at Iolana and then stares at Sarco like he wants to kill him.

“Won’t you forgive me, Saine?” Sarco fakes a sigh.

“Never.”

“Just scream whenever he’s being out of normal, we’ll be there in no time to save you from him.” Jusarlie makes sure Iolana felt safe.

“You make me sound like a creep.”

“Because you are.”

“You are creepier than me, Saine.”

“Pardon me?!”

They keep bickering with each other, Iolana loves this. She loves it when others get into an argument. That dinner unexpectedly feels warm for the first time in a hundred years.

I’m hoping it’s just a mistranslation. Seems like some heavy company interference to basically gut what an entire series premise is about. They should not have introduced the omegaverse concept or made a s2 if they were not planning on delving deeper into the lore. You are satisfying nobody by doing this. Lots of companies have learned the hard way to not piss off fandoms in an effort to appeal to wider audiences. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. If they think anyone cared about the car racing they have rude awakening coming.

According to the author alittlebixtch (dude why did I not know this was her online handle!?!? So appropriate at this point) she actually tried to get the company to removed the A/B/O aspects before the first season aired but they didn’t, so it’s not company interference, it’s actually the author.

She’s taken to Twitter recently to talk about the uproar this announcement has caused, saying that she didn’t realize how problematic the tropes were when she started writing the first novels a couple years ago. Which just proves to me that this was someone who had absolutely no idea what she was writing about, she did like a 50 Shades of Grey level amount of research into what these terms actually meant and what the Omegaverse was. Seems like she just went for it, not actually knowing anything about it and now that she’s been met with a fandom that has expectations based on decades of lore and world building, she’s panicking.

A/B/O is not a new thing, it’s been around since the 1970’s. The omegaverse became a more flushed out and ‘mainstream’ thing in the 20-ish years of Supernatural’s existence when people started using it as a way to explain the biological differences between humans and angels, then with the rise of werewolf popularity thanks to tv shows like Teen Wolf, adding the wolf lore to the omegaverse, you ended up with an extremely rich fantasy world built on a solid foundation of lore and mythology.

Seems like the author dipped her toes into the pond, and then was surprised when she found out exactly how deep that pond was. I appreciated some of the ideas she brought to her work, like how not every person has heightened senses or special powers, and how there was an even rarer subgender—enigmas—but now that she’s realized that she’s been playing in someone else’s sandbox without a bucket, she’s getting angry that there’s sand on her.

If she didn’t want to write in a genre of romantic fantasy that she deems ‘problematic’ then she should’ve gone the sci-fi route and called them mutants or genetically engineered humans, both things have far more wiggle room to create your own world around them because those terms don’t have a step by step fantasy world prebuilt around them.

But it seems like—from what she says—that the second season is not being written by her, she has no control over what the second season of the series will hold, hell her second set of Pit Babe novels aren’t even written yet. So I doubt CHANGE2561 is going to gut their best selling show to date just because the author of the novels they bought the rights from suddenly has cold feet about knocking up Babe.

Pit Babe was CHANGE2561’s first ever BL, and they changed (excuse the pun) the landscape of the industry by taking on an omegaverse story, even if it wasn’t completely within the world and just dabbled on the edge of the well known lore. It was still new and exciting and it made them millions, made their actors superstars and gave them the opportunity to make QLs freely because they know they have a fan base around their actors now. I highly doubt that they are going to change much—if anything—because they own the rights to the series and can make the second season go wherever they want, regardless of what the author wants since she already signed the contract and has no control over what the screenwriters want to do going forward.

In fact, if you look at the screenwriting team that worked on Pit Babe season 1, you’ll find a team that has also worked on Petrichor, The Heart Killers, Dead Friends Forever, This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans, The Gifted and Be My Favourite.

So I’m actually less concerned now that it seems like the author is just talking out of her arse, until CHANGE2561 comes out with an official statement—which I have a feeling they will be doing soon—I’m going to assume that the omegaverse aspects are still very much alive and well within the Pit Babe universe 👍

personal TADC character analysis

uh warning this is long lol

autism time let’s go (/not in a negative way i have autism) stretches hands * I’ll go in order of the character episodes cause why not we have it (see below) i’ll put periods but it will just be to make it more readable not to be intimidating lolll

btw im completely open to interpretations of characters changing throughout the series this is just for fun

Gooseworx has said this series is mostly focused on characters rather than lore, and from what we know, i truly believe it. I don’t think any of the current characters will abstract because of this.

(I put a version of this in the glitch inn discord theory thing so if you recognize it that’s why)

Pomni: we already know her deal pretty well, as we’ve already had her episode. uuuh if anyone’s going to do something important lore wise it will probably be her as she’s the main character but can’t rlly tell what that may be. to review ep 2 though she’s an outcast who has felt like she was nothing and is a logical thinker.

(Kinger and Zooble will there their focus episode but i put it in order of who was revealed to be the ep 3 focus first)

Zooble: From their design (the entire motif is it can be changed at any time) and the fact she doesn’t know his gender, we’re dealing with some pretty clear identity issues. Friends with Gangle seems cool excited for next episode to learn more about them!

Kinger: One of the most interesting characters so far. I feel like we will get to learn more about abstraction though Queenie, the X-ed out door that looks like a female version of him. If i had to guess, since Gooseworx said they were not siblings, they were a couple. (Also judging by his age and the fact he could have been married, he may have been a father yeowch imagine that) I can see the common theory of the insect collection implying he was a coder before getting trapped, but i could also see him being some random guy who just likes bugs lol. He seems like really sweet guy behind his constant anxiety and disassociating.

Gangle: (My faveorite human rn) Her mask design can be interpreted in a lot of ways but it’s clear that the happy mask isn’t her real personality. My take on it rn is she doesn’t wana bother people with her stuff so she pretends she’s happy? She seems easily embarrassed and def has self esteem lower than the last circle of hell. What’s interesting though is she’s willing to stand up for herself from time to time, even though she’s easily shot down after.

Ragatha: Waaaay too nice for her own good. Also probably has self esteem lower than the last circle of hell and bases her self worth of others approval. Though she’s been here the second longest, she seems a lot more normal than Kinger. Makes me question how long apart their introductions have been. Probably copes via escapism.

Jax: I can see why everyone is very interested in him cause me too. He seems like the only fourth wall breaky guy (unless you count Caine cause of his intro at the pilot)which is rlly interesting how did he figure out more than everyone else? what’s with the keys? i have no clue lmao. He’s an asshole who makes the best of his situation by torturing everyone else. At the end of the day though, he’s a human and was sad at kaufmo’s abstraction but he probably isolates himself so it would probably be the same for anyone

that’s 6 humans but Gooseworx said we would look into 7 (cause of the “other” part) in her twitter post talking about the character focus timeline so we know our fav character won’t be left behind ⁉️⁉️⁉️ I hear you not asking well my dear hypothetical person, who better to fill the 7th character than Caine?

Why you did not ask? Too bad i’m info dumping. First, he’s the main antagonist and alongside Pomni, the commercial face (or lack their of haha teeth and eye joke) of the series. he’s an important character and loved by many. (and hated equally if not more aside the point lmaooo)

Yes, gooseworx can lie about stuff but I think she’s smarter than to lead this heavy into Caine depth/ angst territory if there wasn’t going to be anything On top of that, the entire purpose of the timeline post was so we know our faveorite characters weren’t getting treated poorly. It’s unlike for a character based show to suddenly drop such a major character for some random other guy were introduced to later or smth. i mean cmon there’s three episodes after all the humans at least one of them has to be focused on my boy.

Caine: I believe he really does have good intentions and wants to help but just does not understand people at all. This means he’s like an anxiety disorder; it wants to help, solves some issues but creates 500 more. Judging by the Tumblr post, loneliness may play a big part in what’s to come? I’ve always had a feeling his front was extremely fake and his VA saying “breaks keyfable” (an act that pretends it’s true) supports that theory. Episode two gives some insecurity vibes when Zooble didn’t want to go on the adventure. I find that pretty interesting cause he didn’t care at all if people went on the gloink adventure or not. Maybe he puts some adventures over others and he could have been proud of the candy adventure cause more time and care was put into it and he made a new AI. Why did he blue screen? i feel like he could have some blockages on what he can say built in though im not sure why he was blocked then if he even was. one of the biggest questions i have ab him currently tbh. what’s with him grabbing his cane like that in ep 2? if i had to guess simply be nervous = that? His VA also knows some depth to him even though his focus episode is likely going to be at least one of the last 3 episodes, which they have not gotten to recording yet. You know what this means Caine angst solidarity club? Sad Caine so more fan angst appetizers before the main cannon feast let’s friccin go‼️‼️⁉️⁉️

Hey so I love spyxfamily, yet I have some issues with the pacing lately. I miss The Forgers like crazy and I am desperate for more Yor content. I suppose that’s what I’m most worried about, she’s not getting fleshed out enough and being used to her full potential. She’s such an amazing character!

That said, I do have complete faith in Endos storytelling capabilities. He’s created a truly amazing story with compelling characters (side characters included) awesome world building, and both light and dark themes. I think, in pointing out the slow pacing and lack of the Forgers recently, we’ve forgotten all the awesome directions the story can take with all the different plot points Endo has set up at this juncture of the story.

I feel like, based on the narrative, the story is about to reach a big climax, a change in the status quo for the Forgers. Exciting things have happened, but nothing has truly changed the status quo, or the relationship dynamics between the main characters. Since we have reached 100 chapters, and the way the narrative is propelling upward, I think we are due for a big shift. Not the biggest, but a change for sure. Just remember all that’s been set up! Here are a few things I’m fairly confident is gonna happen soon to the Forger’s in the story:

Manga spoilers obviously!

- Twilight is going to continue to try to distance himself from the family, because of the Wheeler stuff, but he will be challenged on that and face a work vs family thing. This is a big theme of the series obviously, and it will take a lot to break down his walls. But it will happen.

- Twilight will learn something about Anya’s past. Most likely related to her knowledge of classical language. Perhaps her history with other families or where she is from. I doubt he’ll learn about her mind reading, that would be huge, but I’m honestly kinda hopeful he does because I don’t want Anya to have to hide anymore. Whatever he learns will affect him and hopefully bring him and his daughter closer in the end.

- This means we will finally get the Anya backstory Endo’s been hinting at for a while! Again, I expect this to lead up to a sweet family moment that brings them closer.

- A new Yor arc. We are truly due for one and I don’t think Endo is ignoring her purposefully. It just may take a while to set up because it will be a big climax of the story. Perhaps Garden lore. A big assassination that affects her character or the plot.

- Yor will get closer with Melinda and maybe find out what the heck is going on concerning her relationship with the other Desmond’s.

- As this happens I think Garden will come into play. I don’t think they like the Desmond pro war agenda. Yor may report her findings from Melinda to them or something. This would be a continuation into that one panel of the Shopkeeper when Yor brought up that Loid was interested in their politics. They will start questioning Yor’s husband as well.

- Damian will confirm Anya can read minds, but will keep her secret. Maybe Becky finds out as well. Dimitri will come into play somehow. I would love to see Damian stop bullying Anya so severely and truly start treating her like a friend, while still struggling with his crush.

- Some Authen’s chapters with some information on their backstory. Are they related to Anya’s mind reading stuff?

- We were recently introduced to Chloe! Yuri’s co-worker and potential romantic interest. I think we will see more of Yuri x Chloe. This will hopefully help him in his crazy obsession with Yor lol.

- Yuri maaay become more suspicious Loid is Twilight (a reach I think). He may also start to like Loid more! (an even bigger reach lol).

- BUT I do think Endo is setting up a funny chapter where Yuri has to stay over and Loid and Yor will have to share a bed! That’s been hinted at several times!

- I also think we are leading up to a big moment between Twilight and Yor. Some type of physical affection. (I’d love a hug, but I’ll take some erotic hand holding once they’re forced to share a bed or something) It’s not a reach, the setup is there for a shift in their physical relationship. This will obviously change things between them. Again, Twilight will be confronted with his feelings after the Wheeler arc and struggle with his feelings for Yor.

- Yor is definitely going to realize she is in love with Loid.

- Finally, after the Wheeler arc, Handler gave Fiona some important patient files for Twilight. I think this will lead to a big break for Strix. He may also meet Melinda as Loid Forger in this capacity.

So yeah, based on basic narrative storytelling, we are due for a climax and change in status quo in sxf! I’m excited to see which way the story goes, there are so many different directions. I’m confident some of these points will happen sooner rather than later. Of course Endo could throw us for a huge loop. But he has setup all of these points and it’s bad storytelling to leave them open ended with no closure or shift in the story.

We have to remember Endo is setting up a truly big story! We should be excited about that. I think it’s fine to criticize the slow pacing (and lack of Yor) but I can only hope it is just building to something big!
