There was something about the way he chuckled as if he knew something she didn't, or something that she kept from him but he somehow still knew about. It unnerved her right now as she came to too many realizations at once about this. About them. Or rather her feelings towards him. Or how she felt around him. It was all too complicated to figure out right now. There was more pressing matters to focus on.

"I'm just kidding, Wally." She sighed hoping he didn't hurt his head with how quickly he moved. Her eyebrows lifted up as she pressed her lips together, trying to keep from laughing. "Being a good tour guide is as good as a kid learning to use the bathroom? I'll remember that, when I get you back home I'll get you all the gold stickers you want." Thinking about Dolly maybe missing her made her feel sad, not because she didn't want her to but because she missed her too. As much as she hated to admit it, she had become attached to the dog and the man. "Or," she began, wanting to break this thought off. "It just proves that Dolly is smart, maybe she was trying to spell lazy and wanted to have a lazy day. Or maybe luz, maybe she thinks in Spanish and wanted someone to turn a light on." Anything to keep from thinking that it would be nice to be able to see her every day. This was temporary, she would be moving on, she reminded herself.

"Yet," she retorted. "You haven't stabbed me in the back, yet. And there are many ways to stab someone in the back, so you never know. You also can't see the future, Wally." Thoughts about her trump card, if things went sideways, came to mind. Her old alias would be the thing to get him back home safely if it came down to it. That alone would be something he would look at her differently after, she was sure of it. If they saw each other again.

"My side?" A laugh came from her as she got up and stretched for a moment. "We've barely been here for a day, I don't have a side. And I'm not sleeping on the floor, I'm sleeping on that couch over there. This room is bigger than my room and living room back at the apartment combined. There's plenty of room for us here. You take the bed. I'll take the couch. You," she emphasized. "Is the one that needs to relax. Have the whole bed to yourself so you can heal and rest." Before he could even open his mouth, she lifted her hand up to silence him. "And don't argue with me, this once, please. I'll be just right there," she pointed to the couch. "If you need anything just call me over. You already know I'm a light sleeper, so I'll wake up if you need anything. The couch is actually pretty nice, I'll be fine." Putting her hand on her hip now that she said her piece, she finished. "Now, do you need anything before we go to sleep or do I need to leave you here on your own and send Memo down and I go sleep somewhere else?"

It seemed like she had wanted to say something when she cut herself off and that had him curious. As she always did when he couldn't get a clear read on her. She was thinking he assumed and that made him start to chuckle. He didn't really know if it was his own thought that made her laugh or if it was the meds but still he was amused.

Snapping his head up a little too quick for his liking he tilted his head. Trying to figure out if she was being serious or not. Still, he blinked soaking in her features. "I don't want your feelings hurt. I don't like that." Part of him did like that she hadn't forgotten about their week. "At least I'm not forgettable. That'd be a mega ouch. Most fun you've had since you moved? I think there should be a sticker for being a good tour guide somewhere. If kids get the good job stickers for the potty then this should be on the list."

"Hmm?" The new toy he nodded his head as it registered what it was that she was talking about. "It does but it has an off button. Funny story," he laughed. "She stepped on it one night while I was asleep and it spooked her enough to run over to my room and jump up and land her paws on my stomach. It was pretty funny. So since then I turn it off at night. Can't have her spooked. I also can't afford to take another rib hit. Sometimes I think she spells your name. I had the kids over and they were playing with blocks. Dolly seemed to gravitate to L and Z." He thought a fun little anecdote would be appreciated since she missed a bit of time. "This does prove she'd go willingly."

"I get that," even though he didn't talk about it he understood where she came from with trust. It was hard to give it and not regret it or think someone else would stab you in the back. He was literally in the business where everyone and everything would turn on you if you weren't careful. So he understood. Still, a sad frown etched on his features making his eyebrows knit together. "Not everyone is actually out to get you. A majority are not gonna lie but some, a few really do have others best interest at heart. Trust isn't freely given it is earned. This may not mean much to you coming from well, what was your favorite word, ah yes, a suit. But I'm not one to stab you in the back."

"You know, loving something can also blur into missing something. That sounds like the hot dogs might classify as something you liked if not loved." He chuckled and shook his head. "Do you really think I'd let you be uncomfortable? The floor is hard and you can't even sleep. You just keep thinking about how hard the floor is. I would never! I always keep my promises. If it's pinky promises there's no way I'd break those."

After he fixed the pillow the way he liked it. He turned it upside down, another weird quirk of his that didn't go away as he grew up. He looked up confused when he noticed she was just waiting there. "Why aren't you getting on your side?" His expression showed more of his Wally side than anything and blinked at her. Tapped the side of the bed as he tried to get comfortable. "Come along. If I picked your side, I can move." The words came out as gentle as a breeze. Sharing a bed didn't really register in his mind and it wasn't like he thought they were going to be doing anything. Contrary to every male brain, his didn't work that way. "Yes. I need you to relax. Please you've done more than enough. Sit. Rest. Sleep. Still got mobility," he waved off the fact she had to essentially carry him over to the bed. So he wasn't totally capable of being completely mobile.

Finished the game couple of days ago and had some thoughts I needed to process a little. Like. Yes.

So anyway I actually didn't plan this and just wanted to redraw some sprites to just make sure I understand how to draw Siffrin correctly (still working on that!)

What did I learn from this? How fun it it to draw on a canvas that literally doesn't let you draw with colors without some layer cheating when necessary. Never tried it.

The beans. Sleeping beans.

Basically what happens when you want to sleep AND draw. Draw characters sleeping on your behalf.

Doesn't help, but at least it's cute.

I have no idea what was going on in my mind as I drew this. Feels like a fever dream of 'I want to sleep' at 4 am and 'Hm...' of thinking random things

Also that phone craft sign. Still too funny to imagine. I had to.

au reworking! i’ve got a much clearer idea of what i want this story to be like compared to last year (hopefully the art has improved too..), so fingers crossed i should start up some scripts soon!

this, but make it jegulus (i tried to get it as close to the original as possible)

Remus is sitting in an armchair doubled over with laughter. Sirius has fallen out of his chair and is cackling on the floor with tears in his eyes from laughing so hard. Regulus is sitting on the couch trying his best to stay composed. And James in standing in the middle of the room with more passion and fire in his eyes than Regulus has ever seen.

“Hold on! Hold on! Hold on!” James is shouting.

“James—” Regulus tries to calmly interrupt.

“HOLD ON!” James looks pointedly at Regulus and his eyes look like they’re going to literally pop out of his head. “Her sister was a witch, right?” Regulus is trying so hard to hold back his laughter. “And what was her sister? A princess! The Wicked Witch of the East, Reg.” James is yelling, not unkindly just very passionately, looking directly at Regulus and nodding his head aggressively to emphasize every point.

James starts pacing in genuine distress. Sirius is rolling on the floor holding his stomach and laughing so hard his entire body is shaking. Remus has his hands over his mouth, which is doing absolutely nothing to contain his laughter.

Regulus stands up to meet James in the middle of the room. “I’m gonna stab him.” He mumbles under his breath, which makes Sirius laugh even harder—if that’s even possible.

James whips around to face Regulus. “You’re gonna looks at me and you’re gonna tell me that I’m wrong? Am I wrong?” James asks emphatically.

And the thing is—James is, in fact, very wrong. “It’s my favorite—” Regulus tries to interject but can’t even get a word in.

“She wore a crown, and she came down in a bubble, Reg!” And that proves absolutely nothing.

Regulus knows he’ll never get James to listen to him. “I’m not fighting with you.” He shakes his head, chuckling fondly.

James makes his way out of the living room. “Grow up!” He says over his shoulder.

“I’m not fighting with you.” Regulus says again.

“Grow up.” James seems to be losing steam as he leaves the room.

“Get educated!” Regulus yells then flops down on the couch and finally lets his laughter out.

Eventually Regulus, Sirius and Remus’ laugher fades into soft chuckles as they calm down and take several deep breaths to compose themselves.  

It’s a few minutes later when James appears in the doorway with a sheepish look on his face—that Regulus thinks is adorable. He slowly makes his way over to the couch and sits down beside Regulus. He’s quiet for a few moments then turns slightly to look at Regulus.   

“I’m not really mad.” James says in a small voice. “And you know I love you, right?”

Regulus chuckles fondly and takes James’ face in his hands. “Yes, I know you love me, Jamie.” He leans in to kiss James softly then pulls back the tiniest bit. “But you’re still wrong.” Regulus whispers against James lips.

Destiel Pride - Day 6; Profound bond

You know. I have Thoughts now about Olric.

I originally wanted him added as a romance option (as do many others) and I think I changed my mind! I love him and he's amazing and supportive and he likes rocks but what I think so far that I really super love for him? Is how friendly he is and so far (I'm not far) he has zero romance related lines. Like he's not a romance option, but looking at the other NPCs (the innkeeper/wife, the general store owner/wife, the retired socialite who talks about past flings) I think Olric stands out as possibly the only one I can hope for aroace representation.

Let this guy just exist with the most positive vibes ever because he's just a good guy with positive vibes for everyone.
