So I have exactly four friends irl, and got this bracelet on „vacation“ with three types of stones on it and tried to interpret each one as one of the friends so whenever I wear it I can have all of them with me metaphorically (I‘m weird ok leave me alone). But ya know, three stones, four friends… bUT!!!:

The first friend is the dark purple stone. At a glance the most bold, obvious and daring. And this person is like that, unabashedly themselves in all their fixations and over-the-top expressiveness. But the stone, despite standing out from the others so much, still fits in nicely, despite what some people may claim. They are a part of this group no matter how much the sometimes seem to stand out!

The second friend is the clear glass beads. Not much to look at, just kind of there, floating along. This person is the most quiet in public, hardly noticeable, but still roped into all the crazy shenanigans. And while they sometimes probably find the rest of us a bit much, they’re still one of us, and just as crazy and passionate if you talk to them about the right things. And we love them for it.

The third friend is the pastel rose stone. A nice mix between the clear beads and bold purple stones, a transitional colour if you will. They’re the golden middle between laid back and normal yet slightly insane. They bring the picture together nicely, and are all for both the regular things and crazy stuff, and provide a bridge between both worlds.

The last friend, and arguably the most important member of this little gang (but don‘t tell them that), is the rubber band. They might not seem important to bystanders, but really they are the one holding and keeping everyone together. Always the first to reach out, talk about seemingly inconsequential or mundane things, sending memes and stupid questions here and there, but really everyone is always glad to talk to them, and I very strongly believe that all of us others need them to send these messages sometimes. It keeps us connected, in touch, caring about one another. This friend might just be the heart of the group, fitting, given all the love and appreciation they have to give, always the first to aggressively yell „FUCK YEAH!!!!“ at any given opportunity or laugh hysterically at a bad joke. Even though they are the funny friend.

Shoutouts to my friends, being with them is like experiencing an episode of a sitcom, but in a good way.
