umm ok nothing i get hyperfixated on escapes the "what if" au shenanigans. everyone's story changes just a little bit

kris gets controlled by the player two years prior to the events of deltarune chapter 1, who finds out that they can control their own body again only in the dark world

noelle and "kris" (the player) have a falling out in which "kris" starts fully ignoring noelle and she goes into a depression til' she and berdly get closer. she's much more brash and blunt, but also more confident

berdly never goes into his "smart kid" spiral, instead he encompasses the "class clown" persona for the elation the attention gives him. he ends up having a tendency to make a lot of people uncomfortable this way

susie is a transfer student from out of town, who's still plenty weird but being passively extrovert makes her seem not as scary. terrible rbf, though

ralsei is much more aloof about the prophecy and responsibility. his role in chapter 1 is akin to a prophet rather than a guide, and he only tags along because kris and susie don't look like they know what they're doing and he felt bad

worldbuilding & other character facts

spamton becomes very attached to noelle in chapter 2

berdly gains a crush on literally everyone. he just happens to land on kris at the latter half of the story

sean just kind of hoards all the minibosses (jevil, spamton) in his shop. noelle doesn't like sean

susie doesn't hide her tail after being encouraged by queen, who chooses susie to kidnap during chapter 2

lancer develops world peace within the dark world and is elected king of the not-so-empty kingdom

the player is the one constantly drinking the milk alphys puts out

mad/mew and asgore real. trust. no really look at this

The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance
