girlblogging isn’t about being perfect or aesthetic 24/7

it’s about showing up for yourself it’s like ur own little soft space on the internet where you post the things that matter to you, your goals, your routines, your messy thoughts, your progress, your healing or playlists .. whatever makes you feel like you.

you can make it look cute if you want (and trust me it's fun ) but the real magic is when you post with meaning.

when i started my girlblog…

i made this blog honestly because i needed to hold myself accountable. i was struggling with discipline, with staying on track, with self-worth... and i told myself:

“if i create a space where i act like i’m becoming the best version of me maybe i’ll actually become her.”

and that’s exactly what started happening.

so like when i post about discipline or motivation or glow ups ... I’m not just sharing advice. i’m reminding myself too j don’t post things just because they’re trendy. i post things that reflect where i am or where i want to be.

and once i achieve something i love sharing what helped me because maybe it'll help another girl too. THAT'S A GIRL BLOGGER

so how do you start?

this is what i recommend:

grab a piece of paper or just open your notes app and write:

what’s something i care about right now?

what’s helping me grow?

what’s something i wish i had guidance on?

and then start posting about that.

for example:

that’s how my blog started growing when i began writing like i was helping my past self. and yes other girls needed those same words too so u don’t have to have it all figured out. you just need to start.

glinda : so, honestly, i have 2 separate headcanons for glinda’s sexuality that i really like! 1, is that she’s a lesbian suffering from comphet and a want to simply be loved (not projecting what so ever). i just think her and fieyro have a very ‘best friends who just so happen to be lovers energy’ that i love but could easily be Glinda simply wanting someone to love her🥺

on the other hand, i can also totally see her as omni with a preference for women as, she has a lot of love to give to everyone, but womennnnn <33

elphaba : personally, i see her as bi w a preference for women!! we just got a lot of sapphics, and honestly, who can blame them??

fiyero : i have never seen more of a pansexual man in my life. i mean, look at him!! he would gladly make out w anyone, w absolutely no care for what you identify as! plus, in an interview w jonathan bailey, he was talking about labels being such a frustrating thing for fiyero so I could totally see him as just being queer.

in the same vein, i don’t really fiyero thinks about his gender either so like id see him as being ok with any pronouns whatsoever, whatever you’d want to call him is fine by him.

hi sunny!! here are my personal opinions/headcanons about it. if you or anyone agrees or disagrees, i’d love to hear your thoughts <3

- Honestly, I don’t think he’s into it. My first instinct was that he wouldn’t even go. I think if his girl really wanted to, he’d tag along, but just because he loves being by your side for everything.

- He’s worked really hard on being better with his emotions, and now he works through them as they happen. He’s really made progress with not bottling stuff up anymore.

- Sure, he gets a little angry occasionally - when people jaywalk in front of his car, or when he breaks something accidentally. But it isn’t rage.

- So, I think you encourage him to find the fun!! Sure, we’re not realistically working through any fury fuelled trauma here, but we can have a laugh and a good time.

- You throw the first plate, both of you flinching when it smashes against the wall. Bucky reminds himself to take a breath, that this is something people do for fun now in the 21st century. It isn’t serious.

- You hand him a glass, encouraging him to do as he wishes. He drops it straight down, almost gently. You grin and rest your forehead against his (as best you can with safety goggles on) to give him a little reassurance.

- He throws the next glass with a little more force, against the bottom of the wall. It shatters into a million pieces, and now Bucky’s starting to get it.

- You suddenly have a baseball bat in your hand, which is worrying for him. You’re clumsy on the best of days, and he doesn’t need you knocking yourself out. He’s got a subtle eye on you as you wind your arm back and swing, straight into an old tv set.

- You barely make a scratch. Suddenly he’s laughing, properly laughing, the sound coming from deep in his stomach. You try to look stern but you can’t, not when he’s folded over, tears dripping down his cheeks. All you can do is beam, giggling through your annoyance.

- He takes the bat from you and gives you a look that asks can I? Of course you nod, stepping back. He takes a swing, cracking the entire thing apart. It’s ancient, so it’s tough, built to last.

- Once he’s made a start, he gives the bat back to you. He’s made it much easier for you now, and you break parts of it off with glee. You swing for the screen, then the top, then the sides. It’s smashed into pieces of debris in no time, both of you cackling as you do it.

- Eventually, when you’re both a little sweaty and worn out, you hang up your safety goggles and call it a day.

- “So, what did you think? Another one of my twenty first century fads?”

He laughs, pulling you into his side and pressing a kiss to the top of your head.

“As far as your twenty first century fads go, I didn’t mind this one. And you look cute swingin’ a bat around. Maybe we should get you into T Ball.”

You shove at him with your shoulder, rolling your eyes - but you can’t fight the grin on your face.

- Neither of you can deny the way you’re both a little lighter on the way home. Not because you let go of any rage - but because you had fun.

That final episode was so intense and left me wanting so much more!!! I was hanging onto every second of it and was so invested in it that I was sitting there like 😟 ‘it’s over?’ once the credits started rolling.

The whole storyline of Carmy getting stuck in the walk-in was so intriguing, and I LOVE how everything came out because of it. His conversation with Tina (and the monologue that followed) struck my heart and then his screaming match with Richie felt like it hurt me as well — also sidebar, can we talk about Richie’s growth this season???? I love what his character became so much….I just hope that Carmy didn’t throw that all away 😬👀 I honestly felt bad for Claire too .. oh Carmy and his self-sabotaging 🙃🙃

And Marcus’ phone at the end?!!!! 😩😩😩 I’m holding out hope that that’s not what they’re making us think that it is because I don’t think I can take seeing him hurt like that!!!

Oh and I’m not even going to get into the conversation between Donna and Pete outside the restaurant……I understood her side but half of me was like: go in there and cheer on your children!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The only part I wish they would have expanded on was what was going on with Sydney at the end … like I understand why she had to rush out there and what was going on but the whole conversation with her dad was very…meh - I wish we would have seen her go back in and then continue on/see how she came out of it …… but I guess that’s why cliff-hangers are put where they are 😩😩

I’m still super invested in this show and I’m super excited to see where they’ll take it next - the restaurant’s pretty much open now…..will it show us how Carmy and Sydney work not to fuck it up?? Or will it go in another, completely different direction?? Either way I’m in for the ride!!

Carmy getting stuck in the walk in so Syd and Richie could seize their moment was amazing 🤩 What a lovely plot twist that perfectly embodies Carmy’s tendency to self sabotage! (I had to giggle a bit as I thought of all the times they told him to call the fucking fridge guy!! 😂😂) It was also the perfect dramatic break up scene with Claire. That voicemail 💔 However, he seems genuinely upset about it so I see him making an attempt at reconciliation at some point in the future, don’t you?

I love love Richie’s growth. How adorable is he when he returns showing off his new style like “I wear suits now!” The whole idea of him remembering the chocolate covered banana story touched me esp bc Carmy always knew he’d be good with people 🥰 And I’m so happy for Tina and Marcus as they continued their culinary journey with enthusiasm. I was afraid we’d lost Ebra tho 😢 and I was smiling so much when he returned! But I really hope all is well with Marcus’ mum. He loves her so much 🥺

Speaking of mums, as usual Donna let her own ego stand in the way of connecting with her children. She’s entertaining and played so well by Jamie Lee Curtis, but I could not despise this narcissistic character more tbh. Thank God for Pete bc he works really hard to pick up the pieces for Sugar. By contrast I actually really liked the scene between Syd and her father, when she goes from vomiting by the bins to hearing his highest praise. That made me teary eyed bc she’d been waiting so long to hear him say he believed in her dream not just being a dutiful, supportive father, but in a genuine, awe filled way.

I have no clue what to expect from a new season, but I’m all in for whatever comes next!

Hope you’re doing alright considering the drama. Just wanted to say that I don’t think it’s possible to “copy” a “concept” unless you phrase things in a very similar manner to the original piece. Two people can take the same exact prompt and end up with two very different results.

Plus, someone has already mentioned it— but there are very few truly original concepts. People have been writing fanfiction for so long now it’s hard to be the “first” in an idea to write about. It feels kind of like gate-keeping to say “oh you can’t do that because I already did this idea!”

It’s fictional, creative writing. As long as you’re not copy-pasting someone’s work (or copy-pasting while changing some words up) I don’t see an issue with it. I don’t think it matters if it’s the same idea, as long as you wrote the actual story in your own style and words. Sorry you’re getting shit on for this :( But don’t let it discourage you! Take a break and come back when you’re ready.

im the anon who asked for obscure artoria ships - tysm for answering! i knew you liked kojiro/artoria from early tpof, but ozymandias/artoria was unexpected! ozytoria sounds interesting from the way you describe it - ive always sort of seen it as an almost-giltoria dynamic minus the hostility and antagonism. i think that modern au idea sounds incredibly sweet 😭 honestly i like the idea of them but there is virtually no fancontent OR canon content of them (besides that one lartoria comment in ozy's interlude?) so its a half-built ship for me as of now. and yes, please talk about kojiro/artoria for the ship game! i'd love to see more of your thoughts on them. on nobu/artoria - YES nobu is incredibly beautiful its crazyyy. i got into shipping them because of mastoria/nobu in koha-ace, interactions in fgo and a user's thoughts on them here on tumblr (you can find them if you search up nobutoria).

What made you ship it?

This is gonna sound strange, but do hear me out.

My love for this ship evolved from the first time it caught my attention, but to be completely honest it all started with another ship: Diarturia.

After re-watching and re-reading FZ, FSN, and UBW, something kept coming up for me. We all know FZ is an incredible prequel sequel, created with stunning precision to fit the already existing narrative, which is why, even when consuming the series as a whole based on the timeline of events, Arturia's character still makes sense.

Their expert craftmanship made the fact that the 5th HGW is Saber's second attempt a lot clearer. Why? because it brings to the table a theme that was already there and yet not too fleshed out:

Deja vu. Or, in Saber's case, a double deja vu.

For example, this line:

Before Zero, it only means 'oh cool so she's fought spearmen before.' but after Zero, you finally know exactly who she's talking about.

But why do I say it's a double deja vu for her?

Let's begin with the obvious one. The parallels between Cú and Diarmuid are pretty clear. Like you just know Zero Lancer's character was patterned after the existing Lancer, but given another purpose. There are gifsets all over Tumblr that illustrate their similarity too.

BUT Cú and Arturia (ooh it kills me to say this) only just fall short of the borderline flirtatious "I wanna have a glorious fight to the death with you because you're worthy" energy. Furthermore, they meet only briefly.

So where did they get that?

No, but seriously. I don't think this is a coincidence. Diarmuid must have been some sort of amalgamation of Kojirou and Cú, the best of both. And that is also why the previous deja vu point hits harder.

Honestly, when that realization came, I was totally not expecting it. I was supposed to be looking for Diarturia crumbs and instead I found myself another whole-ass cookie. And one that unjustly has barely anything in the fandom, even if we have more straightforward lines like this:

Which is, by the way, one of the answers to the next question.

So, now that you know how I got into shipping this, unorthodox as it seems, I think it's time to move past the parallels and into more solid ground.

Unlike other relationships that are more ambiguous and rely on potential, Kojirou's attraction to her is so in your face, it's refreshing.

Their banter is *chef's kiss*

It's only overshadowed because he so quickly became a gag servant, and ofc because the focus of the anime was Shirou. (Why did they do him like that though, he's actually so cool??? I mean, did Saber truly even beat him?? like???)

Saber comments on his skill with the sword, going so far as to say he outclasses him in swordsmanship. bruh, you can't take that lightly

They both see each other as worthy opponents. She literally tells him he's worthy of her full attention.

Kojirou sees her as the fulfillment of his wish, and Saber bloody actually gets to grant him the fight of his 'life' (FSN and UBW, not HF ;n;) when she couldn't do the same for a certain former rival. She even promises their fight's resolution because it is so important to her to see it through (UBW).

Kojirou really wants that fight, and fairly, without interruption. Which is why in FSN he goes as far as to stop the fight before Rider can spy on Saber's sword. And then later on, literally tells Shirou and Rin he doesn't give a shit about them, he just wants to fight Saber.

When he calls her out on holding back, especially since they're both running out of time, she apologizes and reveals Excalibur so they can fully face each other at full strength. UGH THE CHEMISTRY HGNGNGNGNGN. Also, since he knows this is their last fight, he's giving off "look at me, focus on me, don't think about anything else" vibes.

Also, man, Kojirou Sasaki really be out here serving up blatant eye smex every time they share the screen I swear to god.

Like let me give you a line from UBW 23, 19:08, right after Assassin notices she's damaged his katana

Arturia: Our positions...Assassin...are you... (that's what the subs say but Saber says "kisama" so I read it as "you bastard")

Kojirou, smirking: Is it wise to pull your blows? In this position, I could send you flying.

*Kojirou steps forward pressuring their locked swords and causing her to shuffle back a bit*

Arturia: Is that why you deliberately entered my range?

It's...baffling how unknown this ship is like...look at all that material. I mean of course it's going to be trounced in popularity by Shirou x Saber, GilArt, and Diarturia , but it should at least have accumulated enough of a following like Cuturia, for example.

I haven’t been reading tumblr lately because everything is real busy right now, but when I saw your latest chapter of maybe I do posted I SQUEALED!

Before I talk about my experience, I just want to say that chapter 13 of maybe I do was BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN. It felt so real and raw, if that makes any sense HAHAHA! I could see and feel the amount of time and effort you put into writing this chapter and planning it as well! The plot line of the chapter flowed very smoothly and I just loved how you wrote all about the oc’s emotions and her perspective, but also Taehyung’s perspective. It was interesting to see how Taehyung and OC handled everything! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CHAPTER AND THE STORY IN GENERAL 1000/10!

Well, I’m back in your inbox just to talk about my experience with the chapter because I don’t really have anyone to talk about it to. This chapter TRUELY affected me initially in a bad way, but in hindsight it taught me a valuable lesson that I needed to learn which is good! THIS MAKES IT SOUND MORE SERIOUS THAN IT IS HAHAHAHA! But, before reading I always look at the warnings and I saw depictions of mental health problems, and I was a bit wary to continue because I also have some mental health issues if my own. BUT, I WAS JUST GO EXCITED, I JUST LOVE MAYBE I DO AND ITS ALWAYS A TREAT WHENEVER YOU DO PUBLISH SOMETHING! Anyways, I continued reading, which was my fault, and the first part of the chapter was really hard for me to get through, because it was just all so real and slightly relatable on my end. But, that’s when I learned that I needed to space this chapter out for my own sanity and health. Well, I finally finished and throughout the whole thing I was having an internal battle with if I should continue reading, or pause before I read something that might send me down a spiral again. I’m a big fan of your work, but I guess it’s just something I had to learn, for life in general honestly, that I have to pace things in my life for my own health and sanity!

I just wanted to thank you, even if you only did it indirectly, it was something I really needed. My mental health is something I often ignore, but have myself coming back to a place that I don’t want to be. So, this chapter really affected me in probably a life changing way! I’m kind of just ranting right now, but hopefully this all makes sense when you read it!

Summary: even after two anxiety attacks, chapter 13 was absolutely beautiful in all aspects of plot, writing technique, and all its details! I learned a lesson of pacing for my sanity and health and that Sammy is one hell of a writer for curating one of my favorite stories!
