OK, so thinking about a Sanlu au where Luffy is a Pirate King who gets so many marriage requests but does not want to get married. And so he instead insists that he gets to choose his partner through a contest where all the princes and princesses of like the countries around them or other pirates can like bring him a meal and if he likes it, you get married. The problem is that whenever people bring him food he'll just eat it and move on.

And so obviously the vinsmokes are like. Oh s***, we should get in on that. New Ally? And so they try with some of Sanji's others brothers, but none of them like work because they just made their cooks make their meals and everything.

Then eventually sanji, who wants to escape hears about this. And he knows that he can cook so he makes this amazing meat dish He is ready to present his meal towards the Prince in hopes of like maybe escaping his country and living there with Luffy. But like as he's on the way there, there's like this little girl who's starving, and so he gives her the meal instead. It was a one in a million shot anyway.

Anyway, either Luffy sees him doing this or if this was like the true test for kindness for all his partners, and sanji passes the test. Luffy's like get bring this man to me! So sanji goes before him, and luffy asks if he has a meal for him. All sanji has is like, this old sandwhich that he made for himself for the journey here, and sanji tells luffy that. Luffy tells him to bring it to him anyway, and after a lot of protests, he does. Luffy finally eats it and says that its delicious. He and sanji definitely get married.

Sorry for dumping this on you, but your artwork made me literally fall in love with sanlu so I wanted to share this middle of the night idea with you lol.

Luffy's one requirement for a spouse being that they have to cook well is SO on brand for him tbh. I feel like that's something that would be canon too. (Thinks about a situation like that in canon where Luffy's like well nobody can cook better than Sanji so I'll just marry Sanji! And Sanji double takes like wait what hold on a second--)

Even funnier would be if Luffy just met Sanji's brothers and was like. I don't like their vibes they seem mean. And all three of them being SO offended at that lmao

My heart is screaming Demon Neil, but my brain keeps me loyal to Angel Neil. The wings, Aerie! The wings are out! Is he flying now? Who was the other angel he met? Kayleigh? (That's Kevin's mother name, right? The brain fog from being sick is killing me, I can't remember shit.) Although, it seems like Demon Neil hasn't been getting the love it deserves, so if you end up not getting any asks for it, I will take you up on it instead. Oohh the reaction demon Neil had about his father. Huuu, powerful. I'm giddy every time I read either of these works. I've also been rly enjoying Mer AU. Are they ever going to swim together? WIP Wednesday (10/30) | Guardian Angel Neil AU (Part 250)

Andrew's barely finished his question when Neil gets a devious look on his face. Without warning, the angel scoots impossibly forward and crosses his arms in front of him. He kicks off against the side of the building and then he's falling. Andrew grabs for him but it’s too late. His stomach falls with Neil and Andrew scrambles back from the edge of the roof, his heart in his throat.

"NEIL?" Andrew shouts, on hands and knees. There's the sound of enormous wings flapping. Once, twice. Three times. And Neil is there, ten feet away with only his wings holding him up. Andrew's mouth falls open and he moves to sit normally, in awe of the image before him. Neil maintains his hover for a moment, then grins and shoots up into the sky.

A burst of air comes off his wings and flutters Andrew's hair, caresses his face. He watches, looking up, up, up, as Neil soars. He becomes impossibly small the higher he gets, until it seem he's about to disappear. But he doesn't. Andrew watches him make figure-8s up in the sky, leaving contrails in his wake. It's almost like skywriting.

Andrew almost shouts for him to draw something, but doesn't. Instead he just watches in amazement until Neil closes his wings and free-falls towards the parking lot before catching himself and lifting back up until he's able to step onto the roof again. As his feet hit the ground, Andrew's heart leaps. Neil is all smiles and ruddy cheeks and wings.

"That answer your question?" He asks, clearly winded.

Andrew nods, still mesmerized. Somewhere in the back of his mind he wants to bitch at Neil for scaring him like that, but before he can a ring of light appears over Neil's head. It's twice as bright as his wings and Andrew can't look away from it.

"You're so shiny," Andrew whispers, feeling tears prick the corners of his eyes. "So shiny and beautiful."

"Andrew?" Neil says, but Andrew barely hears him. Barely hears anything. There's a gasp, a curse, then all the light disappears with a poof of feathers. The spell breaks and Andrew blinks himself awake just as Neil drops to his knees. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Are you okay?"

Andrew rubs his eyes, to find them embarrassingly wet. He roughly wipes his face with his sleeve and clears his throat until he feels confident his voice won't break. "Yes. I'm fine."

"Fuck, you're not. Can you see?"

"I..." Andrew can't see him. Not really. There's a vague outline that's probably Neil, but everything's too bright. Like staring at the sun too long.

"Happy birthday, Andrew," Neil says in a panic. "Fuck. I have to go now. I hope you get that cake you wanted."

"No, don't," Andrew blinks hard and reaches for him. "Neil. Stay, I—"

The Neil-shape vanishes before he can start to beg and Andrew drops his head into his hands, eyes still burning.

Sooo they both are the main characters of a fantasy/mystery/romance story:

Garret is 23, moves towns, loves music and wants to start a band. Morgan is 20, lives in mentioned town, has a liking in black/red clothes and likes to sing for himself. And after someone disappears, they get stuck in an adventure surrounding magic and myths.

Andrew and Greta are the second main protagonists (I don't have prober pictures of them yet) who have their own reasons to find the missing person.

Your opinions on superman?

Sorry for taking forever to respond. I was trying to find a way to properly explain how I feel XD

I am absolutely in love with Clark Kent. There is something so amazing about how the core of Clark's character is that he genuinely wants to do good because he simply believes it's the right thing to do.

I give a lot of credit to Ma and Pa Kent, obviously, for instilling that in him at a young age. But I also believe that Clark was always naturally inclined to be a kind person. He displays an impressive level of emotional intelligence and empathy for nearly everyone he meets. He's not perfect, but he makes an effort to understand other's motivations and actions.

I also appreciate how much he adores and respects Lois. Clark can never run out of things to say about her. I find it refreshing that a main stay of his relationship with Lois is that he admires and acknowledges her skill as a journalist/reporter. He never tries to undermine her or discredit her. In fact, one of the main reasons he's attracted to her is her dedication to her career. That and her bravery in the face of any danger she encounters. Even when she really should have bowed out forever ago XD

I also think it's very telling that of all the members of the Justice League, Bruce's best friend (other than Diana) is Clark. To me, that right there shows even further what a fantastic person Clark is. Because despite being someone as notoriously private and often irrationally paranoid as Bruce is, he is still able to let his guard down around Clark. I find it heartwarming and sometimes even hilarious that Clark is able to get away with giving Bruce absolute shit and Bruce is, more often than not, willing to tolerate Clark's teasing or even his serious reprimands. They both value the other's opinion and trust each other with their lives.

What I think more recent adaptations of Superman have forgotten, is that Clark never has had an interest in being a god or in using his abilities to establish himself as something superior to mankind. It's the opposite. Clark has such a high degree of self control over his own powers because of just how perfectly aware he is of how easily he could hurt someone if he wanted to.

But Clark doesn't have a desire for power. He genuinely wants to help people because he has the ability to do so.

Tldr; The reason Superman is so great is because Clark is a great person.

Anyways, I’ve made more research and I found out Fresh keeps pairs of glasses under his hat like a cartoon character lol

Oh I do remember that!! DEUCE TRIED TO BEAT ACE WITH A LARGE STICK WHEN THEY MET????????????????

oh my god i get to tell you this i'm so happy. this is going to get long because i just. adore how fucking cringefail deuce is at the start of the novel. the manga is great but it's so important to me how badly this man can fuck up within 10 minutes of meeting a stranger. his ass does NOT know how to keep his foot out of his mouth

going behind a read more bc long and spoiler filled (specifically heavy spoilers (essentially an abridged play-by-play of the first chapter) for Ace's Story book 1 and a little bit of the first chapter of the Episode A manga adaption)

if you don't want spoilers but are curious uhhhh basically deuce got a lil hangry ^-^ thats all ^-^

so, in the manga adaption, deuce pretty immediately warms up to ace, yeah?

yeah. deuce is pretty fuckin easy in the manga. meanwhile, in the novel, when ace immediately asks for help...

(if it's unclear, all first person is referring to deuce, the book is written from his POV)

in fact, deuce manages to fail basically every speech check in the first conversation they have together. i'm not kidding look at how fucking bad he is at this.

my man falls ass first into a rant to a guy he just met and manages to find himself saying 'wow why don't you go cry to your mom and leave me alone to be depressed' to a man who's mom literally died in childbirth. less than 5 minutes after meeting the guy. and the best part? HE KEEPS GOING.

he's gotta stop there, right? surely? surely even a man who's been stranded on an island alone for 3 days can tell when he's got his foot so wedged in his mouth he's practically deepthroating it? NOPE!

at this point, you'd think there's literally nothing worse that he can say. you would be so, so wrong.

MY MAN. MY GUY. i want to hammer in the fact that deuce managed to fuck up a conversation this badly with a man he's literally never met within like, 15 minutes at most. deuce then proceeds to recover from this utter failure at conversation by just. walking away into the woods and proceeding to continue slowly starving to death for several days whilst avoiding ace. he also eats ants on at least one occasion. this isn't really relevant to the hitting ace with a stick thing but it's important to me that you know that. he also despite all of this has this gayass moment

again, not relevant, but important to me that you know he saw ace failing to sail on the worst raft you've ever seen and still called him 'dashing'. now, at this point, deuce has been without food and with only minimal water for days- probably close to a week, though it's a bit ambiguous. and my guy, brilliantly, thinks to himself 'well. ace doesn't look like he's starving to death. what if he has food?' and sneaks behind ace, following him until he sees ace with a huge fruit (the mera mera no mi).

all of this... deuce sneaking up on ace planning to fight him for the fruit, kill him if he needs to, because he's the son of roger... and you know what ace fucking does??? you wanna know what this giant depressed puppy of a man fucking says to a guy who was abt to bash his brains out??

"nice stick!" and deuce just fucking. starts sobbing on the spot out of guilt while they argue both trying to get the other to eat the fruit. they are. so stupid and i love them so much.

so yeah. deuce's first ever interaction with ace is loudly announcing that he'd want to kill himself if he was the son of roger, and his SECOND interaction is him attempting to kill ace with a stick because he's hangry. i love him so much he's so fucking shit.

tldr you're not you when you're hungry and also you should all read the ace novels. because of this and also because ace and deuce get cockblocked on a gay ferris wheel ride by a marine just deciding to jump in the gondola with them and sit there menacingly until ace breaks the door and just jumps out to escape her monologuing abt her traumatic backstory

I don't know if I misinterpreted Evie's relationship chart, but is Blackbeard Dove's biological father??? If so then, does Dove know, or find out about it later, at least?

Also, about Evie and Shiryu's relationship and how "Dove must never know", would Dove be oblivious to it, or would they be aware of it for a while and just choose to not call attention to it? I like the idea of maybe Evie and Shiryu revealing the fact that they're dating to Dove and Dove being like, "Oh, I already knew that." leaving their mother and Captain stunned.

But yeah, Dove is in fact Teach’s kid, when he met Dove right away, he knew. And I was hinting that in previous posts I've done.

Which is why Teach tries to get along with Dove without letting them know, he doesn't tell right away because.

A. Dove would NOT believe him.

& B. Dove has been through some shit. So of course they wouldn't believe him even if there was evidence. They have trust issues.

Dove does find out much later, once their relationship is better…

Meanwhile, with Evie and Shiryu. Shiryu was the first Blackbeard pirate she met besides knowing Teach. They hit it off immediately because Evie has no sense of boundaries or shame.

They don't tell Dove immediately because Dove looks up to Shiryu as a father figure, and being their captain. But of course…

Dove knows the both of them too well and would know immediately before they even tell them.

So yes, Evie and Shiryu would be surprised.

Hello! First of all, your art is very amazing. I love your style: rich colors and lively faces create an incredibly cute atmosphere. Your blog is very nice to look at. Can I ask a question about Sanlu? Have you thought that Luffy is the kind of person who believes in "cute nonsense" like love's healing kiss? Like, if a person kisses a wound, it will heal faster. Luffy loves to attract attention in many ways, while Sanji does nothing but care about everyone and everything.

Luffy: *scraped his knee*.

Luffy: Sanji!

Sanji: ...

Sanji: You haven't washed in a week, it's completely unsanitary.

And ohhh oooOOHH that's actually so cute!! I feel like it was something that took off bc Usopp jokingly said smth like "Don't you know true love's kiss heals wounds faster?" and Chopper's like "I thought that was for when you're in a deep deep sleep, not injuries!" but Luffy takes that and runs with it, mostly as an excuse to get more kisses from Sanji (and to provide more kisses himself. LOL)

It probably escalates to the point where Luffy hurts himself on purpose OR comes to Sanji with really minor injuries, like a papercut. Eventually Sanji cracks and he's like "You know you don't have to be injured to get a kiss from me, right? You can just ASK." and Luffy's like !! :DDDDD

Or we could bring in the Angst and have Sanji kiss Luffy when he's really, really injured in hopes that maybe it might make him even a little bit better :")

Today, when we, cos party, discussed out of character with our dm what will we do in the final battle (that can even not happen at all), I said "it will be very sad! I might not be able to take down you both, but at least two of the three is gonna die (one being me, diyng in the process of trying to protect Strahd). So, just asking... how will you react if someone from you party will do something like that?

We are pretty chill about it all btw, because we're trying to make Strahd an ally in interdimension war and some of us (me and possibly other pc) are gonna join him anyway, but what would your reaction be?

late response but this is a GREAT question!

firstly I love that you guys are talking about the final battle out-of-character first; I will definitely be doing the same with my group when the time comes so that I can try to give everybody what they want out of a final encounter.

since the mission statement my players all agreed on for this campaign was literally "let's punch dracula in the dick", I'm going out of my way to try and make Strahd extremely easy to hate by emphasizing sexism, classism, and abuse of power as themes in the campaign, and generally leaning hard into the idea that Strahd's got some real incel energy*. so my hope is that no one will want to try and protect or defend Strahd for any reason, because otherwise I've kinda fucked up. we've also all agreed above-the-table that this isn't a game where we're going to do betrayals or secret plots because it's Baby's First D&D for most of them and our goals are more humor and teamwork than le drama.

buuut who knows, there's always a chance the campaign will go in a very unexpected direction, or maybe I'll accidentally make Strahd seem really, really cool, or maybe one of my players will discover they've got a huge boner for vampires and a drama kink and decide swapping sides and dying dramatically would be really fun for them.

and if that happens, my reaction will probably be, "okay, cool, let's talk about it together as a group to see how everyone's feeling about this" so we can work together to figure out how to give that player some of what they're looking for without accidentally upsetting or ruining the fun for my other two players. I don't think that kind of thing would be a great fit for this game, but I'm sure we could find a compromise if their heart is really in it, you know?

*Someday I will run a full-nasty CoS campaign where Strahd is cruel and complex and tragic and much harder to pin as "good" or "bad", and in that game I will actively welcome Strahd simps to come do their thing and make the campaign even messier. but that's for another game and different players, lmao.
