Sometimes exercising just means dancing a little to some music in your bedroom, and that's okay!
(this is specifically relating to physical disability but this is true for literally anyone and I don't mind if you talk about in other ways- it won't be derailing this is important for everyone)

hii hru? i hope your doing good! you dont have to do this request if you dont want to idm. anyway maybe an au with Jade, Vil, and Rook where the reader is a thief and their a detective. and they have trouble catching them while the reader makes fun of them??
just ignore this if you dont want it. have a great day. :)
im good thank you! ty for the request, it's cool!!!
Tumblr media
jade leech
jade actually seems to enjoy how much of an effort you have to make him do, that he has a chase. its entertaining to him to say at the very least. he seems to be quite confident in himself and his own abilities to catch you- in fact there are times where he could so easily get you but he kinda lets you slip away so he can continue hehe.
anytime you make some snark or playful comment towards him he always manages to have the same energy back only in a more playful (sometimes they're unnerving because its JADE) but he likes this. he grins as he muses how much he banters back- it's different from what he is used to, and he loves it. he usually chuckles to himself when he hears you poke fun at him.
genuinely has and does try to outsmart and trick you in some ways as his plans to successfully capture you. he views this all as some game to him, that he is absolutely loving.
vil schoenheit
he isnt the most impressed with your games and playful demeanor about the whole situation, he scoffs and thinks it's a childish waste of time. vil is someone that does not want to be caught in an endless cat and mouse chase... is what he thought until he kind of started to like the retorts and comments you two have against each other. he finds it interesting and different, like jade.
vil is almost upset because he does hold himself up to a standard, seemingly prideful that he is good at his job and what he does for his line of work. the fact that he has such trouble catching you frustrates him at times.
being stubborn as ever will only continue again and again to make every attempt to successfully get you. sometimes you'll find him having his proud moments where he is able to stun and just barely able to get you- only for you to quip and tease him as you're able to escape once again.
rook hunt
oh lord, he may even be enjoying and loving this more than jade. he finds the chase so exhilarating- he doesn't always want it to be so easy for him. he gets to exercise his talent in hunting down and chasing and he will gladly do that. seems to find the thrill and joy of doing it even more.
he might even compliment your skills while he is after you, giving you an amused smile amazed that you've actually made it as far as you had. trying to get away from him was no easy feat for others like you in the past. he is pleasantly surprised and is excited for anytime he finds you. "ah, so close! ill get you soon enough, trickster." he'll usually say chuckling in defeat.
there are so, so many times with him where it'll be such close calls with him getting you- still you manage to slip away from him. he'll admit you're clearly no amateur, you know what you're doing. and he loves it.

Happy Friday!!! - Fall/Winter Dos and Don'ts!
The month of October has began!! Spooky season creeps upon us ever closer, and that means a couple of yearly trends will be rearing their heads. The DCPC is here with some 'do's and 'dont's for this holiday season!
Do...
Keep in mind the sun will set earlier and earlier this month! Be safe out there, and if you plan on traveling at night be aware of your surroundings. Sleeping Pokemon do NOT like to be woken up!
- Daycare Trainer Copper
Don't...
Catch/Adopt/Buy a ghost type just for the holiday. Ghost types are just like every other Pokemon. They have feelings and wants and needs. Ghost types are full of so much love and get attatched very easily. If you abandon a ghost type, it will haunt you. No doubt about it.
- Daycare Trainer Willow
Do...
Experiment with new foods for your Pokemon!!! Just like we love pumpkin spice and peppermint, your pokemon love a variety in their diets. I love to include "seasonal" herbs and flavors into my homemade Pokekibble batches, and every Pokemon loves it!! Be sure to check that anything you're giving them is safe for them first!
- Daycare Trainer Aster
Don't...
Explore abandoned or dangerous places alone. Urban exploring and cave diving are fun and all, but if you go alone, you might just not come back at all. Also, don't just go with any stranger you find in the street. Find someone you trust to go with you, otherwise... well, you might not come back.
- Daycare Trainer Dune
Do...
Make sure your Pokemon are all up-to-date on things like vaccines, monthly/yearly washes and polishes, and pokecenter visits! It can be easy to forget as the weather gets cozier that we have some responsibilities as trainers that can not get ignored. Keep your pokemon healthy and happy!
- Daycare Trainer Fox
Don't...
Keep your Pokemon cooped up in their Pokeballs or indoors just because the season is getting colder. They still want to stretch their legs and walk with you or sit outside and camp with you. Remember, almost every Pokemon registered to a trainer has been caught in the wild. They're used to the seasons changing! Even pokemon who were hatched should be acclimated to the weather as it changes.
- Daycare Trainer Park
Do...
Keep your houses and camps secured! While Pokemon are used to the cold, some of them can't help but try and wiggle their way inside a warm house or tent. There's also an uptick of ghost type Pokemon this month, so unless you want a gengar in your living room, secure your house with the proper rights and rituals! (Keep in mind, some people offer wards that will HURT ghost type pokemon, including your own. Do your own research to find wards that simply BLOCK ghost types.)
- Daycare Trainer Nitara
Don't...
Stop battling! If you stop battling entirely for the season, your Pokemon might have too much leftover energy. There's always a seasonal slew of people saying their pokemon "turn wild" all over again when it gets cold. This is because you're not exercising them enough! If they don't battle, you should still be giving your Pokemon some kind of outside time if they're used to it.
- Director Moor
Do...
Wear the proper gear. For any and all situations above, you should be sure that you and your pokemon are wearing what's right for the situations. Camping, urban exploring, or simply going outside on a chilly day; wear the right clothes or risk getting sick or hurt. Some of your Pokemon, such as reptilian friends, may also need to wear something throughout the winter.
- Mr. Montague
Don't...
Forget the law. Even though fall and winter mean fewer people outside, more empty open spaces, you cannot allow this to make you forget about the law. If your reigon has ordinances about where you can battle, what times you can battle, or anything of the like, please keep that in mind as the months get colder. No one wants to get arrested when jail cells are even colder than usual.
- Manager Seren

pixels and angles aside, to me qcell is always gonna be a small guy just bc he has gremilin energy. i can't concide this vision of a gianourmous guy built like an weardrobe everyone seems to have about him lmao
to me he's like a 1,70 guy. strong but not like really defined or anything, maybe his body would be like laios from dungeon meshi? i mean the dude doesn't have a rotine of exercises, actually he doesnt exercise at all. and his feeding has always been terrible. yk, a built body like that is hard. sure, he dragged some bodies here and there but i dont think that would be enough for like a six pack lmao
Doing the math, that puts him at about 5'5, and I can see that? Personally, I feel him more at like 5'7 or 5'8 with No six pack/abs/whatever, and I've always seen him as like. Yeah, that dude from dunmeshi works I guess, he's just sturdy. Because he did like. Have a routine going for a while, and he does do a lot of walking around and adventuring. So he's probably got some killer calves, but not much else going for him outside of his now-canon biceps (thanks, cc!Cellbit lol)
Outside of that, I've always imagined him as like. Not skinny? He's got as close to a "normal" body type as he can have with how starved and malnourished he was during his teen years (there's no such thing as a normal body type imo, but you know what I mean), and he is Not as dehydrated-Marvel-actor-skinny as a lot of people usually depict him as
Also. He 100% slouches, this dude does NOT have good posture!! So that makes him even smaller, putting him at your 5'5 hc

habits you should have, regardless of beauty standards:
we all know that sex sells, and if youre like me, you refuse to be a part of it. the issue is, many of the habits that are advertized to be for the improvement of your looks, are actually really important for your health as well, often times even life saving. if youre like me, you might be unaware of this and deliberately NOT participating in them as a protest against beauty standarts, which might actually be hurting you. let me tell you which! (long post)
1. wearing sunscreen:
unless you have a lot of melanin, you should wear sunscreen every time the uv index is 3 or higher, to protect yourself from skin cancer.
why does society tell us to wear it?
i always hear 'sun exposure gives you wrinkles, freckles, sunspots, etcetc' and went 'well i dont CARE, fuck you' and never wore it.
everybody tries to sell sunscreen as 'antiaging'. its crazy how thats the biggest selling point, and not the fact that sunscreen protects you from getting CANCER.
heres the thing, you SHOULDNT care about getting wrinkles! theres nothing wrong with them, no matter how 'premature' they are!
why you should actually wear it:
you should care about skin cancer though. asides from melanoma, which has very low survival rates, other skin cancers, while not as deadly, can then spread to different organs and *cause* other deadly cancers.
okay, im new to sunscreens, what should i do?
well first, let me say that mineral vs chemical doesnt really matter, as long as the spf is high enough. the general rule is the higher the spf, the better.
if i were to reccomend a sunscreen, it would be beauty of joseon. it has gone viral, and while i do think its overhyped, i think its a great basic. its pretty cost efficient, not sticky or smelly and doesnt burn my eyes.
you should apply spf if the uv index is 3 or higher, which you can check the levels in your area on any weather website. if youre staying outside for longer than 2 hours, you should reapply.
you dont have to wear suncreen indoors! your windos block most uv rays.
your face needs at least a quarter of a teaspoon to be fully protected. of course the amount varies depending on the size of your face, but usually two fingers are enough to protect your face:
Tumblr media
to save as much sunscreen as possible, try to stay in the shade and and cover your body when going outdoors!
before you go to sleep, you should remove your spf by double cleansing!
2. working out:
why does society tell us to work out?
the most common answer is: to lose weight. the get a 'desirable' body shape. to get a 'healthy' body shape.
there are many scientific papers that talk in depth about how your weight isnt indicative of your health, so i am going to spare you, and i certainly dont need to go in depth about how nobody should conform to societys beauty standards.
another thing worth pointing out is that often times, exercise cannot actually give you the shape you want. there are many factors to this, such as genetics or hormones, but the fact is, exercise often just wont help you archieve the ideal body shape anyway.
why should you actually work out, then?
many reasons!
-being in shape (metaphorically, not literally) will make moving around easier and you'll get less tired perfoming your daily tasks.
-working out improves mood and helps with brain fog
-increases energy levels (ironically)
-good for cardiovascular health, digestive health, good for bone heath: that means that as you age, you are more likely to retain more of your mobility than if you didnt work out, and your body will in general be happier
-sometimes it helps you socialize, participate in community etc.
how to get into working out?
now, this is the fun part: there is no wrong way to go about this!
you dont need to do a specific type of working out! in fact, just pick whatever suits you!
you can run or go for walks. dance in your living room or attend dance class. shadow box. go to the gym to box.
lift weights or do at home calisthenics, do chloe ting workout videos, climb trees, go for a bike ride, whatever!
just keep moving! you should workout a few times a week :) you dont need any fancy equipment or clothes.
3. eat healthy
now, this one may be different definition of a healthy diet than youve heard of: you shouldnt eat less, but more. the biggest adjustment to your diet shouldnt be removing things but adding things.
you should eat a lot of vegetables, as well as proteins, sugar and fats.
you can keep your fries and a burgers, but you should add a salad as well!
maybe you grew up believing that you dont like healthy things, like fish or collard greens, but you might be living in a lie :D
i reccommend trying new recipes, you might be surprised!
a good diet will have similiar effects to working out- its very important to nourish your body so that it can work properly.

THIS is how im getting back on track
i got off track the last few weeks and i regained. the WORST punishment ever is no fitting into my fav jeans, that i bought already a tad too small, for motivation. just like half of my other bottoms, they'll fit but not as they used to, def not pretty. not getting to wear my usual clothes has rlly got me so insecure & miserable, i'm glad i'm the right headspace to fucking lose again.
ꕤ eat breakfast as normal, 5am, get my energy. do NOT eat it after 5am, that goes for weekends.
ꕤ don't snack at uni, that makes for a 8h fast. attack some gum, drink water.
ꕤ eat lunch at 1pm, have a small sweet, like 10g or less (i have a fav, its perfect).
ꕤ eat a fruit by 2pm, which is a time when i'm usually hungry for no reason but it's better to control it earlier than at night. NO carbs.
ꕤ fast till breakfast again, that should be agout a 15h fast. drink loads of water, DO WORK, practice yoga & pilates, take my vitamins, don't forget the iron specially around my period.
this is no 400cal a day diet ok, it's my way of remaining alive & actually healthy (acc to my doctors), maintaing a weight i already know i'm comfortable at, keeping up my energy and my youth bc honeslty i have too much shit to get done, i don't have time to be lethargic.
✩ keep out of the kitchen/living room at nighttime, since i know my tendencies to binge while watching something on tv. watch it in my bedroom.
✩ don't comment about food around my mom, don't give her any ideas of putting up an occasion in which my refusal to eat is a war declaration. for myself, avoid food content, baking videos, recepies, mealsp0, it makes me hungry.
✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯
if i remember any others i'll update it bc it's more for me than for other ppl. and a reminder: if your're still a teen, if you're fucking 14 or smt, please understand your body is literally not developed and if you have any plans on being alive for the next decades you shouldn't stunt its growth by depleating it of nutrients. go. fucking. exercise. like crazy. it'll also help your growth, metabolism and overall health for years to come cz the benefits last a lifetime. so yeah dont be dumb.
thats it girlies, bybye
xoxo, s.

I have a big question.
I've been fasting lately and loosing weight, but summer is coming snd I'm afraid. Is there any tips for maintaining, not even loosing weight, during the 3 months where I won't be able to skip breakfast and lunch as I can now?
I will, of course, try to exercise to minimize the impact, but I always gain like 2-3kg in summer and I am afraid bc I am working hard to get them off.
I really could use help (and purging is not an option bc it would be noticeable)
@dancingqueenofthedark THIS IS ALL STUFF THAT I PERSONALLY DO WHEN TRYING TO KEEP WEIGHT OFF OR LOSING WEIGHT! - Calorie deficit and how much u workout is a personal preference and should not be abused for your own safety!! we wanna be skinny not dead lol
Ive generally become very against purging bc it took such a toll on my body and id never recommend doing that to urself.
Yes, general workouts to keep active and burn calories when ur eating more than you'd like (I do pushups, crunches, donkey kicks, squats or go on longer walks when i have the energy or can. I have a step and calorie counter on my phone, highly recommend googling how many calories each workout would burn depending on ur bodyweight and height.) Id say just making excuses to avoid some foods, but dont do them too often or itll get obvious. "I dont feel like having that today, I'm really full ill just have a little bit, no cheese or sauce please, ill have that on the side, im not sure if i like that food but ill try it (then only eating like two bites)" etc etc etc.
THE BIG ONE: Dont eat unless youre with people. Ive been on intermittent fasts for like 12 hours, then i go out to the fam to get ready for work. If a coworker asks if ive been eating then theyre onto me, and i eat in front of them only then. Usually id end up only eating a total 400-600 kcals because im only eating when with people, and even then im super picky.
This is all super basic but i follow it religiously. Im sorry for the super late reply but I wish you luck!

I wanted to get other phys disabled people’s input if that’s okay
I’m just wondering at what point is pain and weakness with mobility (and arm movement) normal vs abnormal? Like do ablebodied people really not get any pain during things like bending down/getting up, going up and down stairs, walking, lifting and using arms.. unless they’re already injured? Can “because you haven’t been exercising and sit all day”or “it’s bc you’re autistic” genuinely be the cause for pain like that? if ablebodied people don’t exercise often can they feel pain and trouble with mobility?
Then that leads me to think .. well how much exercise do u even need because I technically do physical activity multiple times a week for months until a certain pointr every year… yet I still have these symptoms and some muscle atrophy. the pain also seems to be worsening over time
I did one genetic swab test for things like neuromuscular disorders and it was negative so now I’m like well if the test results are negative what now….I match symptoms of certain neuromuscular disorders so well but the test was negative and now I’m like so confused I feel kinda fake? Do u have a similar experience?
the normal amount of pain for an able bodied person, especially with regular mobility, is 0 pain. none at all.
you joints can get weak and you can get sore after a bit of physical labour like walking up a flight of stars or lifting a bunch of boxes if you dont exercise and maintain your body's health (even just going for regular walks is enough sometimes) but thats exhaustion after strenuous activity
physically disabled people usually feel that constantly, have even less strength and energy to spend on that stuff than an able-bodied person does.
disabled people continue to have their pain and issues no matter how much exercise and care for their body they do, its good to keep it up but an able bodied person wouldnt continue to feel that. for an able bodied person thats temporary, for us, its chronic.
my body is deteriorating. i get regular walks in to help my joints, i do stretches to help with my muscles and my back, but its only to help slow down whats happening with me and to keep me as mobile as possible for as long as possible as my spine continues to twist and bend over the years. an able bodied person wouldnt feel pain just standing up and sitting down and moving their limbs let alone need a physical routine like i do.
i feel you though, a lot of times my imposter syndrome hits hard and i feel like im faking. but we're not. no mater what condition or label we are told we do/do not have our experience with our bodies is still there, still real, still valid.
no one knows our bodies like we do.
if you think theres a possibility there and you can do it, i'd push to get tested again and/or look for other possibilities on what it could be, there might be other things your symptoms overlap with (which i find happens a lot, thats actually part of how i found out i was anemic instead of diabetic) though you dont have to, just if you want to. you dont have to follow any of my ramblings or anything, its just always good to check again and look into other things just in case y'know? /lh

Girl the way I want you to drop your working out routine and diet…
Hiiii okay very late answer below SORRY
CW exercise, food/diet, all that. If you have an issue with me posting or talking about this, dont click the read more and then complain about it, capiche? :))))  just move along, nothing to see here
I know a lot of people would answer stuff like this with “i am not a professional” however i am actually an exercise professional with several certifications and licenses, so this is not me giving advice or telling you what you should do, this is just what i personally do. i have a very positive relationship to food and exercise after working out for a decade so im pretty laid back about all of it
Exercise wise, i lift 3x a week and i pole dance 1-2x a week. As for lifting, i do full body every time, all free weights and no machines. I dont do cardio or abs cause i think its boring and i dont track how many calories i burn cause i dont care. I find it boring to do upper body/leg days so i prefer doing a mix. My set and rep range is anywhere from 3x3 to 4x18 depending on the exercise. I do progressive overload, meaning i do the same 3 sets of different exercises every week but it gets a little more intense every time either in terms of weight increasing or reps increasing. The only exercise i do twice a week is hip thrust. My goals are to build strength and muscle and this has worked well for me so im happy. Sometimes i ditch working out or pole to write but i stay mostly consistent
Diet wise, i have celiac disease and i dont eat out very often, so those are kinda the two main things. I make all my own food cause i have no other options haha
The best diet advice i ever received was to have a source of protein, fat and carbs in every meal and thats what i follow. This is gonna sound boring but the things i eat the most are gf bread, eggs, chicken sausages, generic brand nutella, greek yogurt, granola, berries, different varieties of pasta, chicken, fish, beef, prawns, rice, veggies, granola bars, dark chocolate and ice cream (a pint can last me a long time cause i find it v filling for some reason). I usually make the same type of stuff my mom made growing up which is kind of a mix of different stuff. When i have the time, i like making lebanese or palestinian food (my fav food ever is shish tawook), and I also like to put toum (whipped garlic sauce) on everything. When i go out with my friends or order in, i tend to get fried chicken, sushi or middle eastern food. i love candy, cake, cookies and all other desserts yum yum yum i eat dessert every day and idc if anyone has an issue w it
Im the type who loses my appetite if im stressed, and my metabolism has gotten high from working out for so long that it can be difficult to eat enough, especially protein, and that always leaves me feeling v tired and shitty the next day cause i cant sustain the energy expenditure, so i try to make my meals very calorically dense cause theres just a limit to how much i can chew and swallow. i often drink blackberry/cranberry canada dry ginger ale cause they fucking SLAP and also its extra carbs i dont have to shove down my gullet
Thats pretty much it. I take creatine but thats the only supplement i take cause protein powder tastes terrible. I got an ask about creatine and will respond to that soon as well :p

Happy STS! How do you imagine your OCs stim?
Happy STS! :D
I have a handful of neurodivergent characters, including but not limited to Mavros, Iasis, Ilonia, and Elise. Those four are on the top of my mind though when I think of people who regularly stim.
Crown Mavros Aeraki is very AuDHD. He uses a lot of tactile stims like running his finger tips through his hair, over his clothes, picking and biting his clothes, etc. (He has a lot of sensitivity with his clothes, and wears only specific fabrics and styles. If he feels a hem he'll explode in 1000 pieces.) He scratches himself a lot, bites his fist, he likes to blink hard, kick back at his throne, and hes huge on physical touch. Often sits on his own legs and holds his arms close to his body. Like me, he when hes alone he does some arm things like arm curling. When he was a kid, he'd t-rex arm all the time but his father would get after him for it so he moved to slightly more subtle things.
Iasis Aeraki, im not completely sure but hes probably autistic. He masks a lot, and has since he was small due to his parents insistence on him being the perfect eldest child; so a lot of his stimming is stuff that would be unnoticeable unless you spent a lot of time around him. Muscle clenching, picking, using his electrokinesis to run static down his arms, and undoing and redoing his hair over and over. When he was younger, he was prone to pulling his hair and scratching. He uses his mandolin a lot to get some of that energy out in a way he doesn't feel shameful about. He is also a performer, and uses dance and sword fighting practice often in the same way, but in his old age hes slowed down.
Ilonia-dy Lutalo has ADHD and has been (kind of) diagnosed in canon. They dont really have a name for it, but Jeremias attempts to help her with low doses of amphetamines. She has always been extremely high energy and under-stimulated. Shes was in junior guard (essentially scouts but make it medieval guard related) since she was quite young, and ended up getting a lot of that energy out in the form of exercise and rough play with her peers. She use to stim more often, usually through biting, jumping, and rocking on her heels but after her father died and things got bad, she got prone to holding back that nervous energy until she blew up. As an adult, she stims mainly through more subtle ways when shes not jogging or training. Foot tapping and pacing are big for her.
Elise Lutalo had a traumatic brain injury as an infant, and has had sensorimotor and sensory processing disruption since then. She rocks a lot, clenches up, stomps, covers her ears and when she was a kid she'd do a lot of biting, t-rex arming and flapping. As she grew up, she migrated more into using more flicks and stretches and messing with her cane when she uses it on her bad days. She will also often bring her hair down to braid, and unbraid much like Iasis does.

Working with non human spirits
A witch is said to be the one who walks through worlds of existence, and by doind that we get to know lots of different beings. One in particular has caught my attentions theses days (or months, i guess), actually, a group of spirits, kown as the 4 winds.
We believe them to be daemons-ish or djins-ish spirits. We can feel them, hear them, learn from them, but also get hurt from them. It's said that we have to call their attention to us in the most friendly way possible so they wouldn't cause you harm.
It's also said that some people can contact one of the winds, and a fewer number of them can contact the 4 of them easily compared to rest of us. That doesn't mean they don't neet to be carefull, it's more like they were 'conected' to these spirits some how. A natural bound. They have names, witch they would reveal themselvs to the one seeking ther presence. They enjoy a few offerings, like insence, perfum, smoking pipes and stuff like that. Some of them also enjoys art like reading, singing or dancing, maybe acting.
How do we work with them?
Letting the ritualistcs and traditions a part for a second, the practical "work" with them is based on what i jus sair: they teach us, then bring messages from the dead or other livings, they may also carry on messages and spells, and teach you how to fly, that being astral flight.
On the other hand, if get in trouble with one of them, you may get sick, body pain, like if you had gone to gym or got into a fight. They beat us up in a way we can't actually understand.
So, to avoid this, be respectfull to them! They are not your bffs, nor babysitter. Act polite and present yourself to them, out there (please, wont call a WIND SPIRIT inside your house, go outside! Get in touch with them.)
In the beggining, I'd say that the best to do is:
for a while, on the wind hour gap of your choice, offer something to them on the wind. Presente yourself in a true and heartfull way, you may actually explain what you want to do or learn. That might take a while, maybe a month, maybe more, maybe less, I can't tell it since I'm not controlling them (lol).
After sometime doing that, you may start getting some signs, some sort of presence or response to your callings. That might be in anyway possible, be open to it. Non-human spirits usually dont talk too easilly, they comunicate in another level most of the time. This is when you're gona want to get relaxed, mostly lost in your thoghts, kinda in between realities. That's when the first contact might apear. As a voice in your head, or a someone talking close to your ears. Meditate a little, it might help you out. Once you get his name, you may start a relation with the spirit.
Then the next step would be properly ritualizing. Using your practice, prepare you ritual the way you usually do, and call them.
A few info about them
East Wind - He is the first wind of the day, "wakes up" sided by the sun. He is more active and 'happy'. Enjoys art, literature, pipes, tabaco, insense and perfume.
He cand bring as all the kinds of head problems (from a headache up to a hair loss), but he can bring us and also free us from these problems.
He is good to help you start new things, to "bring stuff to life" whenever needed.
West Wind - The sunset wind. Everything that one lived must face death sometime. This is one of the energies that rounds this guy here. He is a bit more angry-ish wind, we don't like messing with him.
He likes fighting, swords and exercises (like gym, running or anything that makes us sweat. I don't really have much to talk about this one, I still couldn't talk to him.
South Wind - This one is kinda easy to meet, specially if you go to a river, lake, beach or anything like that. If there's water near by, he might be close.
He also enjoys art, the smell of flowers, and a few things like this. Acting and singing also works pretty well here. He can feed us, emotionally speaking but just that. It seems to better ourselvs somehow.
North Wind - The voice of the old ones. This one here is the master-like one. He tells stories of the ancient times, teaches us of the old spells, and old alies.
He seemed to me like an old folk who likes to talk. He is by far the easier one to reach out. He enjoys the smell of coffee or tea, like herbs boiling, tabaco smoking, some incense, and most of all: a quiet place. He's the one who's supposed to talk (let the man speak!) He may help us bringing money, health, prosperity in all levels, messages from (or to) our ancestors, and more...
What sould I do if I get them angry at me?
Good questions. Pay attention to the signs, and check your oracles once in a while during the process. If that's the case you need some info:
Wich of the four it the one who's angry
What's it causing to you
With that in mind, you go out there and explain yourelf, let it be clear you don't wanna contact anymore and go do a banishment, a cleasing bath. If you're a witch, you wont have problem dealing with this.
If you don't know how to study something and do a break spell, then you should not try this alone.

pssst care to drop your weight routine? Or any tips or anything for getting started/becoming more consistent? consider this a horny ask if you so choose
Presently I do this dumbbell circuit 3 times per day:
10x lateral raise 10lb
10x single arm tricep extension 10lb
10x shoulder press 15lb
10x bicep curl 20lb
10x upright row 20lb
It looks like a lot but it really only takes a couple minutes at a time. I usually do one mid morning when i get up to rinse out my coffee cup, one in the afternoon before i shower and eat lunch, and then one in the late afternoon.
And then once i've done that routine three times, if i have more energy later in the day i'll do a single set to failure of one of those at a time, or sometimes i do inclined chest presses in my office chair (i dont recommend trying this though lol my chair is very heavy and stable but yours might not be and you do NOT want to tip over with weights over your face. im thinking about getting a collapsible bench for this kind of thing), hammer curls, inclined tricep extensions also in my office chair. some other random stuff. and i pepper in some leg stuff but tbh i am not good at legs yet thats very much a work in progress. but mainly i aim for 3 full circuits of that main workout and if i hit that im happy.
When I started out I really had no idea how to do anything so i was just doing 10lb curls, but then I googled something like "arm workout dumbbells" and just picked a bunch of movements that seemed doable for me. Then when a weight starts to feel too easy I move up to something heavier for that movement. I fear I will be doing 10lbs for lateral raises for the rest of my life though lol that shit is still hard.
If you're not sure how strong you are, maybe start with 5 or 7lbs and see how that feels. You can always move up, but if you start too heavy you might get discouraged and stop. If something feels dangerous, stop. Reddit is useful, somebody has probably asked every question about every exercise in existence, look things up as needed.
Cheers!

how i deal with build ups of energy
to clarify what i mean real quick, anyone that knows me should know im a pretty spiritual kinda guy- i thoroughly believe in negative and positive energies and that both of them are weirdly physical despite falling under the metaphysical category
i also believe in old energy and new energy- it's kinda like water in a way yknow- u dont wanna drink old water bc who KNOWS what it's got in it, so you usually wanna flush it out and get new or clean water instead
now lemme explain why im yapping abt this
i just did a workout and at first i really couldnt get into it (for those who dont know, my method of exercise is literally putting my earbuds in, turning the lights off and performing my favorite songs as if i was the singer on stage in front of a crowd bc that's something i eventually want to Actually do), i did a couple songs and i just wasnt feeling it but i was like Well nah- nah this- this cant be 😧
bc i kinda had to do a workout today, i knew i needed it for some reason, so i was like Ok well let me try a song that almost always works (falling away from me by korn)
and i did it and for the most part i felt this kind of shell i was in start to crack- i started to get a little more energized throughout the whole song and im like Okay inch resting- and it was at that point i started to have a hunch about what this lack of energy was.
i did another song that i hadn't actually done before but knew that whenever i listened to it, i couldn't Not crank the volume every time the chorus hits- it's one of Those™ songs (and it's gravity of discomfort by korn)
right before the first chorus hit, i felt myself REALLY start to come out of whatever shitty shell i was in, but then something bit back into me and the chorus itself wasn't as good-
2nd chorus rolls around and i am FEELING it FINALLY- the breakdown hits and i have the moment where it fully clicks and i know what's wrong with me.
essentially what was happening was i was just full of too much old, shitty, stagnant energy- the kind of shit that when you let it fester, it makes you not want to do the very things that would get rid of it.
it was at this point that i finally started feeling correct again so i did a song that i just wanted to do in general (shoots and ladders), and then i followed it with the one song that is the most energy purging fucking thing i know of for myself (chi- these r all korn songs if u couldnt tell by now-)
this is the ONE SONG that, no matter what vibe im in, i will end up purging Something fucking huge energetically and the song will end and ill feel like a new man completely
if u follow my astrology blog, @twistedastrology, u shouldve seen the cancers and rage post i did bc this ties into it immensely 😮‍💨
this may have been the most insane ive ever gone to this song im not gona lie- i can almost guarantee you i scratched the shit out of my own skin because it's like having a parasite in you and you just start clawing at your own skin, desperate to get it out of you.
that and im a very physical person when it comes to purging shitty energy (again, the cancers and rage post will explain it 💔)
the experience with the song itself almost had me breaking down into tears, and if i wasnt so unbelievably angry, i probably would've-
i literally feel so much better now that i burnt that shit off bc now that i know abt it, i can definitely tell how it's been eating me up inside
but i wanna talk abt before i started getting into the swing of things vs after.
there was this very obvious apprehension that i talked abt, yknow not feeling into it- and then after i got rid of the garbage energy, i was sat on the floor in front of the fan just feeling So much better-
you're always gonna feel like shit before you purge something, it's like pulling teeth, right? the more you dont want to do it or dont feel like doing it, the more you actually need to.
it's that shitty energy's last line of defense, it's digging into you tooth and nail with every appendage it has, begging for you to not evict it from your body and mind because it has nowhere else to go.
think of it like leaving a shitty partner- you say you wanna end things and then they shit themselves and cry and scream and beg and punch walls and threaten to off themselves if you leave them because omg no!!!! nooooo not my energetic breakfast lunch and dinner!!!! nooooo dont leave me ur too sexy haha ur lifeforce is too fun to drain lol
Like bro.
my personal experience with these energy purges is usually the same every time, i catch onto it, get so pissed about it that i basically burn it from the inside out, and then i go to bed that day and wake up the next a whole new person.
i get way happier, better at listening and talking to the ppl around me, i have 10x more energy, i can sleep way better at night, etc.
and then eventually, something will find it's way back in and i have to repeat the cycle, but the only time repeating that cycle is a bad thing is when i fail to burn the shitty energy off and then become a conduit for all things miserable, which i personally refuse to let happen because it's my worst nightmare.
also update i just felt a vague stinging on my collarbone and im like oh shit whar- go to feel it and im like Holy shit that feels bad- check it out and ya i got a big ass scratch right there damn bitch calm down 💔💔💔 im surprised it's not actually bleeding ngl it looks like it's like 2 layers of skin away from it tho 😭😭😭
ANYWAY
i know it sucks and i know it's kinda shitty or silly to say, but a build up of negative energy is very similar to, the same as, and can even Lead To depression, anxiety, whatever.
im never gonna dismiss someone's mental health issues as "oh ur juet holdidng onto too much negative enebgryy Go hold some rocks!!!!!!!".
negative energy can play a part in it, and rocks can help with that part, but they wont magically cure your genuine mental illness and they should never be looked at like they will.
But for me, my mental illness is just exacerbated by said shitty energy, and that's what doing these ungodly purges fixes. sometimes you get shitty energy from just having a long day, sometimes people deliberately (mostly unknowingly tho) throw it onto you because they dont wanna deal with their own shit, sometimes you just get it from yourself.
the source of it doesn't matter as much as the expulsion of it.
and for me, after i expel such an intense amount as i just did, i get SUPER tired, sometimes i even get a temporary but god awful migraine-
at one point i genuinely cleared out so much old energy at once that i kept getting more and more tired to the point of keeling over and knocking out a couple times and waking up with the migraine of a lifetime, AND my ENTIRE body was RUTHLESSLY sore- but i kept going because i wanted all of it out as fast as possible.
i didnt wanna just slowly sift through it no no i HAD to do it as fast as my body would let me, there was no other choice in my head because that's just not how i work.
so while i may sorta fuck myself up with how Quickly and violently i expel this kinda stuff, it's never not for a good reason. i can handle a couple scratches on my body, i can handle a head-splitting migraine, i can handle my whole body feeling like it's gonna fall apart as long as i get the shit out of my system.
with time, my body will heal on it's own, but my mind will spiral if i dont keep it in check.
and i think with that im gona end this yapping session- idk if any of this made any modicum of sense but i hope that if it did, u took Something positive from it.
if u actually read this far legitimately god bless u and there will be plenty more yapping sessions 2 come

Journal:
so last night i cried my fucking eyes out and texted my ex's unused alt discord account to vent and it lowkey got kinda delusional. something along the lines of i dont feel the need to contact you cause the person i loved is as good as dead and i could run back to you all i want but it'll never be the boy i fell in love with. then i went back to sleep and woke up and gym.
ngl a was a little sad about the run cause i thought i was doing pretty good but i guess not :O (maybe i spent too much energy sobbing last night) but yeah the staff guy that helped wih the water cooler helped me adjust the step up thing higher cause i was too short to reach the pull up bar (i had to jump and it was taking too much energy).
idk if im being delusional but i feel like he's been watching me a bunch :OO and i mean he saw me struggle with the water cooler and the pull up bar so 😭😭 i guess he is???
also it has come to my attention that my current make up look (prominent peach red lip stain + pale ass skin) makes people think im very chinese cause people speak to me more in chinese (even when im wearing a sweater saying LONDON ENGLAND).
i have the asian cute look and the lip stain really makes the "ASIAN" pop off so i guess thats why.
also i lifted up a 8kg kettlebell today and i was genuinely shocked by how light it felt to me i almost did reps. also also im super happy with the fact ive upped the weight for my usual routine! i was stagnent at 2kg and i was like ehh im not sure if i should up it cause the next one seems heavy to me BUT I CAN AND I DID yuh also new dry shampoo im trying out bastille and its leaving a bit of a residue so hmmm
after the gym i went to the airport to pick up some lotion and sat at my little hang out spot.
caught a glimpse of that QUAD muscle in the mirror while walking, and that was a nice feeling.
I took a nap at the airport, woke up, cried some more, drew a bit, went on the bus home, cried more, reached home, showered and had dinner.
After dinner i cried even more and fell asleep.
It would appear my day largely consists of breaking out into tears. Last time i cried this much was when i attempted to off myself damn.

This is probably an unpopular opinion: so, i'll just preface with: Im saying this as a person with disability and chronic illness:
At a certain point its a bit shitty when people keep cancelling plans. I know sometimes health can get in the way of things but when you're ALWAYS reaching out to your friend and they are ALWAYS cancelling on you, it really, really sucks.
I don't cancel plans often. Usually I go through with them, even if I feel like pure death. I will save up all my energy for a day to see my friends. I put in that effort, even if sometimes it causes me to flare. And yeah, I could stand to tone it down a little, but I really dont like cancelling.
Because I've had friends cancel plans on me. a lot. And its usually people im trying to get back into contact with. It sucks to be cancelled on, and even though you know the person isn't doing it maliciously, after a certain amount of times it just starts to feel like they dont actually want to see you.
Of course you need to look after your health and comfort, but I sometimes feel like people can focus too much on prioritising their comfort over their relationships. Relationships are hard work and unfortunately, that sometimes means pushing through exhaustion and pain for someone because you care about them.
Disability and illness can be really isolating. In order to get rid of that loneliness, it means meeting up with people. And adjusting to living with disability and chronic illness means learning to balance those two forces. If you find yourself always cancelling and notice that your friendships are fading, you're not acting in your best interest. You are going to have to be uncomfortable and push yourself. You are going to have to put effort in, or be content with people pulling away because the relationship is becoming one-sided.
It should also just be basic etiquette that if you cancel on someone, it should be your responsibility to reschedule. And you should try not to let the person down again.
Like, I get it. Im sometimes exhausted and in pain and dont feel up to hanging out. I do it anyway. Because its good for the relationship, its good for my mental health, and its good to push your boundaries sometime. Its like exercise a muscle, if you dont push it, you dont get stronger. You dont grow.
It sucks to put in all that work, and get nothing back. It also especially sucks when it feels like your friend gives up on plans at the slightest hint of resistance. If you cancel, maybe try communicating why.
But in general i think that people have become too blasé about this kind of thing. Yes, life gets in the way, but at a certain point you have to stop victimising yourself and realise that youre treating people badly. You're not the only person whos struggling, and you owe it to yourself to try and do something that will make you feel better long-term -- like fulfilling relationships with others -- rather than prioritising short term gains (like getting to rest)
TLDR: cancelling plans sucks, and getting cancelled on sucks too. Remember, its never just one person losing a friend, its always at least two, and thats awful. Dont let yourself fall into the trap of neglecting your relationships. Part of taking care of your wellbeing means taking care of your social health too.

some thoughts on ADHD and ASD
Hej, my name's Ise (she/they), 24 years old, student, and about a month and a half ago I was diagnosed with ADHD and ASD. I am currently in treatment (meds and therapy) for ADHD, but my doctor says that we should first tackle that before we look at its brother, ASD.
The too-much gene
Jenna Marble's phrase "too much gene" really resonates me, because when I get excited I also have a tendency to be a bit too much to handle. When speaking about my passions, I can talk anyone into a corner, and I will dominate any seminar if I find the subject even a bit interesting. I also have a strong tendency to be a "klugscheißer" or "besserwisser" (i think that is the more international one), so I will often correct people, not to show them how i am better than them but in the interest of creating the best product. I also gague when to make those remarks: I will not apply the same scrutiny to a text written by someone who is a beginner in that language as I would to a text written by someone who is a native speaker. I usually point out, correct and sometimes explain, but I dont belittle, e.g. by saying how elementary that is.
That too much gene also shows itself in my writing, as you might have noticed. What was supposed to be a straight forward short text turns into a novel. I have really big problems narrowing in on just one topic: when tasked to write a paper one any topic regarding scandinavian monarchy, I spend two months on researching the entire history of three royal houses and earldoms and in the end could not single out a reasonable topic for one term paper.
And I have a bit of anxiety that the ADHD meds will only make me more unbearable, more to handle.
2. How do I know they are working?
I am on a constantly rising dosis of Medikinet, as of today I am taking 30mg of them in the morning and another 20mg around mid-day. While I do notice the constant tiredness that had been bugging me has reduced, i still dont "think in HD", as my doctor said I might. I am still trailing off in class, but can nevertheless still answer when the prof asks a question. I can write a pagelong essay for the student magazine in one sitting, but thanks to hyperfocus that was something I could do before. I think that maybe my energy and my motivation has risen, but not so much my ability to (control my) focus.
There is also the general problem that I am a very critical person, not (only) as in self-critical but also very much as in critical theory, how do I know that what I am experiencing is real and not a simulation, critical. Okay, maybe thats a bit too much, but more like: how do I know the meds are doing their job and this isnt just a placebo effect taking place? And what if my increase in energy is simply due to my surroundings, the sun coming back and the end of the semester approaching, the new flat, different people I hang out with or my diet and exercise, and not the meds?
And additionally, how do I know that my brain does what it is supposed to do, when it has probably never in my life done that? (And lets not get into a rant about normativity here.) This is actually a thing I was already thinking about when I was about ten years old: how I can I know what I am feeling, both emotion and sensory/pain wise, when those feelings dont come with a label and I can never know what exactly someone else is feeling?
Life doesnt come with a pop-up menu for stats, where you can clearly see whether the pain your feeling is the worst pain imaginable or whether that little hitch in your breating is due to anxiety, walking up the stairs or a cold.
