Happy WBW! Imagine someone makes a scented candle based off your world. What would be the scent notes?

Its Wednesday still somewhere

Oh man... This ones difficult. Id probably have to say all the nations would have different scents but at the end of my ramble i'll pick one for the wider stories.

Anemoi: Clove and cinnamon, a scent matching their national flower. Sharp and overpowering but welcoming. Some ashey, mineral scents and perchicor behind the spice. Maybe just a hint of pumpkin.

Ishida: Plum, pear and sea minerals. Despite having more subtle scents I imagine its very heavily fragranced. Behind that more obvious smells, fresh seaweed.

Gix: Very light lillies, lime and musk. Kind of cologney and rummy? A bit chemically. Maybe a bit of brown sugar.

Drasil: Honey, ceader, almond and earthy with a slight musk. Definitely made of bees wax!

Midonia: Wine and chocolate. Very rich but not heavy on the fragrance

Kannati: Tea, figs and that very specific scent of hot sand. A bit acrid but not in a bad way.

Over all though, for the wider story of the higher powers, probably something very earthy and ashy with a metalic note.

And as for the main story in which im writing (Amara's story) id say the best scent would be uhh... Wine, perchicor and grassy

IT WAS TECHNICALLY SATURDAY WHEN I WROTE THIS

By costume i'll assume their day to day clothes!

So Anemoians wear a waist sash as a sign of national identity and its just a very ingrained part of their culture. It can cinch their clothes together. holds tools and weapons and can act like a fanny pack for their coin purses or personal items. It can also be used as a shawl or windbreaker when needed or even a scarf or head protection.

A colourful, decorative and expensive waist sash can also be a symbol of wealth and status. A simple cloth might be used by a commoner but silks and embroidered expensive fabrics would be used by the rich and affluent

It can also be used as a good way to identify someone. If you know the leader of a work team is wearing a bright red sash then its easier to spot that person. Sometimes charms are also added for identification, usually during festivals when masks are worn. Its considered very un-anemoian to not wear a waist sash in some way, some kind of insult to the people who came before you. It could probably be considered a religious item, really.

A lot of Anemoians will wear a diamond shape, this is also a cultural symbol of peace and Anemois relationships between its 3 neighbouring nations.

For Midonians its considered gauche and strange to wear flamboyantly bright clothes. Reds, blues and deep purples are common enough. Whites and blacks are the most common. Collared shirts are popular and its a cultural must to wear the cross.

Some Anemoians who also worship Cextos as a Midonian does will wear a diamond with a cross in between it, symbolizing unity between Midonia and Anemoi.

Ishidans will almost only wear black, blue, white and occasionally purple. For the rich its common to wear flecks of silver in layered fabric. Layered, puffy clothing is popular among women but its common for men to wear tighter vests and shaped pants to show off their figure.

Kannatians have very limited clothes, even their royalty. Someone will only have one or two very expensive, silken shirt and white linen pants that have been hand decorated with white thread. They will wear a single item with the colours of their family.

Those doing hard labour will usually work shirtless with drab work pants and then change after cleaning themselves.

Its not due to lack of dyes, nooo kannati makes most of their money from dyes and mica. Its a status thing and having very nice clothes is symbolic of a persons ability to care for such an important thing that covers their body. Its also partly just the style popular there

Sometimes while travelling a Kannatian will wear cloaks but almost never at home unless during cold nights.

They will however decorate their bodies in black and white tattoos, often with religious symbols such as boars, rabbits, deer and serpents.

I like when other things are like collars or shackles to a characters history. Necklaces, watches, swords, tattoos, piercings, etc.

Me when I catch myself thinking "I wonder what it's like to be chosen by somebody" but then I remember my best friend chooses to be my best friend and my mutuals choose to follow me and the minimum wage employee chooses to give me sincere kindness that I remember years later because I was going through a hard time and it meant a lot
