headcanon/drabble — how would Adam be like with a reader who is sharp-witted?

a/n — this takes place in some sort of office-setting, i dont know what goes on up there in heaven but i like to think its similar to what we've seen so far in hell, so i'm sure conferences aren't unheard of. i wasn't sure what format this idea should take, so it begins like a headcanon list but finishes up with a drabble. it's also rushed and i struggled with it a lot but. we ball!!!!!!

Adam considers himself to be a pretty funny guy, always dishing out 'sick burns' on others, but his pride gets hurt really easily. When it comes to a reader who can keep up with him in comebacks; he's definitely impressed by it, thinks it's hot as fuck, but he'd never openly admit it because it also a ignites a strong sense of competition in him.  

The tension between the two of you is uncomfortably palpable, how you twist him through every conversation and leave him to stammer like a fool just when he thinks he's bested you. Watching him seethe is endlessly entertaining to you, it brings you satisfaction, finding your own sense of pride in seeing that bad boy persona crack little by little.

The two of you will be going back-and-forth every time Sera calls for a conference, taking up half of the allotted time with your back-and-forths, and everyone graced with the luck to have been summoned there just wishes the two of you would fuck already so they didn't have to keep sitting through this.

But he secretly likes it, your flippancy towards his status and identity as First Man, how you're always so quick to shut down his sleazy remarks with an air of arrogance, going toe-to-toe with his own. Cute. 

Until one day, you finally give into him– He somehow manages to get you to fuck him, and for days after, his bragging around the office is incessant: "[Name] cries when she cums!", "Her orgasm face is just the cutest fuckin' thing, I mean could you imagine? Wait, actually don't, don't picture it–"

"Didn't mean a thing to you, then?"

"Nah."

"Oh please, [Name]," he scoffs. He’s getting offended at the thought now, his wings giving a small flap in indignance. He’s supposed to be the aloof one! You should be begging for it to happen again.

"Don't fuckin' play. My dick gave you the best fuck you've ever had and now you don’t know how to feel."

“The best? At putting me to sleep, maybe. I did get a good nap out of it afterward, so.”

Seeing a Melusine attached to the hip with Neuvillette wasn’t the most uncommon sight. What was uncommon was just HOW attached to the hip this particular Melusine was.

The other thing about them that was so odd, was generally how they looked.

Melusine were usually short with their little antlers, tiny tails and sometimes little wings. The only know outlier was, of course, Sigewinne.

At least, that’s what was assumed. Then you showed up.

You were on the taller side, coming up to the Sovereign’s chest, with longer horns and a larger tail. Your wings were also larger… they even looked functional. And you honestly looked like a mix between a Melusine, a leaf sheep and a Blue Dragon sea slug. The most different trait being that you looked perfectly androgynous.

You constantly spent your time holding onto Neuvillette and he let you. Your hands were always either around him, gripping his clothes or holding his hands.

The man was perfectly reciprocating to your affections. Holding onto you and allowing you to hold onto him.

The only issue?

He was the only person who you interacted with.

He chuckled before leaning down and whispering something in your ear. You stepped forward and began to speak.

another thing i brought up were the shelves and how i wanted to add more items to them . I did it this time , but not to the extent that i really wanted to . i'd hoped for more Clutter and ultimately couldnt think of anymore than a few items . SAID ITEMS BEING !!!!

chess pieces . cute little reference to the chess scene ! even if the scene itself didnt feature real chess pieces , the imagery wouldnt work if i didnt use real pieces .

the letter opener . dont need to explain this one . but i Did originally plan to have it in shin's hand ( explaining why that one is balled like that , because there was originally a Thing in there ) but i couldnt figure out how to draw it and make it look Good . i only added it back when i was colouring the trinkets on the shelves and realised that i Forgot to put it back into the drawing .

LITTLE DETAILS I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK AT .

THE HANDS !!!!!!!!! i decided at the very last second to make them vaguely see through . and theyre all a persons ! amami and shinguji are the obvious ones , but the two holding at the top are supposed to be ouma ( on the scarf ) and akamatsu ( on the rope ) . i would have included tojo's as well but i couldnt fit it in the composition without it looking awkward and out of place and i thought there were already enough references to case 3 as is .

and you literally cant even see it but if you look REALLY closely at oumas hand . his skin is a little grey and you can see the veins through the skin . wonder what happened there . Guess we'll never know !

THE BOOKS !! did the same thing as last time with a Little More . purple books are ouma , green are both amami and tojo , blue is both kiibo and chabashira , pink is akamatsu , and red is phys themselves . i know phys's canonical colour association is olive green but consider : shin is red . look at him . hes Red . that ones for me specifically .

with that . i did all of those books by hand . i drew about 9 variations of books and copy pasted them sure but i Shaded and Coloured them all individually . youll never guess how fucking LONG that took . so yeah . no one book has the exact same shading . goodie !

THE JOKER !!! yes i know i talked about it in the previous section but i WILL talk about the card itself . because i unironically am so in love with how that drawing came out . the little guy featured there is my Lies of P oc scaramouche or scaramuccia ( i use them interchangeably ) . hes a silly jester :3 . the depiction on the card is of him in his prime , before . All Of That Happened . story-wise he's a super famous circus performer known as " The One Man Show " because all of his acts are done alone and are absolutely insane . hes very good at what he does which is Why he doesnt have a crew . and the only reason hes so good is because he't not even human , just pretending to be !

Ah, ok, thank you for asking! I intend to remain nebulous in the actual fics except for a few specific blurbs. For two reasons:

In my opinion I think it feels more realistic to the times and helps it read more like a narrative of these women to not be graphically detailed. Except in the case of Ida who will give a detailed deposition, which will become a fic of its own.

Now, as I realize lots of readers may not wish to read those gruesome details, when I do write such things it’ll be in fairly isolated fics and so everyone won’t be missing anything besides those details -and a little Rosie x Ida backstory. I don’t think everyone would appreciate it being intermingled consistently.

Secondly: some of this trauma in story telling is better left vague to evoke general emotions, imo.

However, for asks? I love clarifying...

First off Maureen -yes, in my canon she was. Specifically mentioned that someone stood on her hands while someone else did it. Personally I like to think she scrapped hard and probably bit some fingers off. Perhaps she was considered too much trouble for repeat attacks. But yes, she was raped. And to keep accurate to those poor Soviet Female Officers, most of these girls probably were subjected to the same. Hence why the majority were asking Ida about accidental pregnancies from it.

Ida and Rosie— it’s better and worse in that this man knows everything that happened to her. Every gruesome detail, thanks to her deposition. It both gives her comfort and vulnerability around him, it instills in him heaps of patience and protectiveness. He’s a nurturing sort anyways, and he enjoys her companionship, you bet that he would be devoted to this woman even though it takes ages for her to be comfortable with much of anything.

I do think Ida becomes pretty enamored with kissing, she’s never done it before really and Rosie is no fumbling prom date, he’s a sensuous man who cherishes his plane’s wings -how much more the shell of his lover’s soul?! I think it’s many years before they fully consummate their marriage, there were times she thought she was ready and yet -never underestimate what can trigger trauma, even if your rational mind wants a thing, try telling that to your psyche. Rosie in many ways has a more realistic expectation of how long and slow it might take, and he’s willing to actively wait and love her through it.

Eventually they do have a happy and very deep sexual bond due to the very contrast of trauma and gentle specialness of Robert being her first.

Spindrax the Biker Spider:

Spindrax is a biker much like in her original concept and a racing rival to Mei. She's also the youngest of the clan, meaning that the Spider Gang knew that if something happened to any of them, she could make it far away & fast enough to be spared.

She considers the Spider Gang her family (is likely even adopted by them), and saw her new mission to track the Monkie Gang as a great chance to show off her strength/worth to them. Not realizing that part of the reason she was sent ahead and out of the lair was to make sure LBD and the Mayor couldn't get their hands on her...

In this alternate version of "72 Transformations" MK turned himself tiny in order to try find & extract Bai He from the sewers (honestly not knowing if it would bring LBD with him, he just wanted his baby sister back). Him and the Spider Gang immediately agree that LBD is bad news, and MK leaves them with the mech if they agree to protect his little sister even if something happens to them. Before MK leaves, each spider wraps a length of their silk as a... "safety precaution" around his wrist- a secretive Spider Demon ritual they reluctantly entrust him with.

Spider Queen: "You don't expect me to give my One Strand to a common monkey thief do you!?" Huntsman: "What other choice do we have? Whether or not you trust the boy, him and his friends are the only ones who can perform the ritual in our absence." Goliath: "And you dont want Spindrax to be left alone, do you?" Spider Queen: "Of course not! But I wouldn't let my little princess go anywhere near-!" Huntsman: "Then trust the boy. He's strong enough for it. And not him, then his allies." Spider Queen: *grumbles and gives MK a strangely strong but thin strand of silk formed from her own magic* "Don't make me regret this, boy... But give these to Spindrax the second you cross paths again!" MK, very confused and grossed out: "Umm... ok, ew eww! Why are you all giving me your butt-rope?" Syntax (not a born spider demon): "I haven't a clue, but have mine too I guess?" Huntsman: "You'll learn of their purpose once you enter Diyu." MK & Syntax, unsure who Huntsman's responding to: "M'kay..."

Later as Spindrax is silently tracking the gang as theyre training in the desert outisde Megapolis; she feels a Spidey Sense of grief go down her spine. She isn't sure why.

Until the Bone Mech appears...

What do you mean they knew?" Spindrax: "According to spider demon lore, a single strand of silk can be used by their clan mates to find them in Diyu once they've passed on. It's tradition to give your One Strand to your surviving clan mates if you know that your death is approaching." MK: "Oh..." Spindrax: "Yeah." *sad laugh* "I guess Lady Bone Demon has taken from both of our families then..." MK: "...and like us, you'll get yours back. I promise." Spindrax, still sad but much brighter: "...you're corny as hell, dude."

The lore of the spider silk comes from a certain Buddist fairytale. It comes very much in handy later on when the gang find themselves somewhere... infernal.

i think the main reason i've (mostly) abandoned the ideas of "left wing" vs "right wing" is how broad and basically useless they are unless someone believes Exactly The Same Shit As You, which basically nobody does. i've seen everyone from (the american conception of) liberals, to marxist-leninists, to nazis described as "leftist" by various people, and frankly i dont consider those to really share much common ground. hell, even words like "liberal", it means a very different thing to a communist than it does to a conservative, much less from country to country (to my understanding, most countries outside of the US define it closer to the original meaning, for example). which isn't to say that i don't have my own ideas about what these words mean, it's just that i know intimately that most people don't share them, and likely never will.

this is why i like to just say what i think without ascribing labels to myself. if, for example, i considered myself an anarchist, the second you tell someone "i'm an anarchist" they already have their own ideas about what that means, and will just fill mentally fill those in and likely ignore what you're actually trying to say. there are certain ideologies that people commonly don't really perceive as ideologies with an actual degree of complexity or nuanced beliefs. for example, i couldn't tell you how many times i've seen people use the word "nazi" to just describe literally anything they dont like. when my old apartment complex banned people from using their own grills, i saw a little bit of writing on one of the notices: "guess we're living in nazi america, now...". obviously, the nazis never banned goddamn grills. that is unequivocally not a belief that the nazis even came close to holding, and when analyzed seriously this statement is utter fucking balderdash. but the person who wrote that, they didn't conceive of nazism as an actual belief system with stated principals and beliefs, to them it just means "i dont like this".

now, to be clear, i'm in no way saying that nazi beliefs were good or justified. i'm just saying that contrary to popular belief, they had an actual philosophy that the average person could internalize and conceive of. a deeply contradictory and horrific one, of course, but the second we conceive as a group of not having anything worth analyzing is when we give up on understanding it on any deeper level. and frankly, i think that understanding fascism and how it functions is a good thing, because then you have a better idea of how to counter it, and how to not unintentionally fall into it. abhorrent ideas are, in my opinon, unequivocally still worth analyzing and understanding, because i find there's rarely something as informative to making things better as understanding why something fails.

i remember this one time, my mom called trump a communist. after i questioned her a bit, i managed to ascertain that what she meant was just that he was an authoritarian. now, not to tip my hand too much, but personally i wouldn't consider former US president donald trump to be a communist. bold stance, i know. i had a similar exchange why my grandpa where he called trump an anarchist, and then also a fascist. i gotta wonder, what does the average person really think these words mean? personally, judging by how my grandfather called trump an anarchist, i wouldn't believe him to have any coherent idea of what anarchism as a cluster of ideologies to actually mean beyond perhaps "likes chaos". i'd contend the same about my mother and communism, given how communism is an economic theory that, depending on who you ask, isnt inherently authoritarian or libertarian, or in my experience some would posit is inherently anarchistic in nature. again, i'm not saying what i personally believe; i'm just saying that i conceptualize of different political philosophies with a bit more nuance than the unsettlingly common american idea of "socialism is anything i don't like. the more i hate it, the more socialist it is" (you can replace the word "socialist" with pretty much any ideology outside of the overton window, sadly that's how they tend to use it)

all in all i'd consider arguing politics in terms of what label(s) you specifically identify as is essentially pointless. if you call yourself a socialist as thanksgiving, your disphit aunt probably isn't gonna agree with anything you say as an inherent function of the centrist mind. if you'd just actually explain what you actually believe, particularly if you used the right words, you're hell of a lot more likely to change hearts and minds. they probably wont agree with everything you say, but they're infinitely more likely to actually put thought into actively considering what you're saying

lets consider what we know -this character is wearing a public safety uniform or male school uniform -they have white sneakers -they have some kind of thin blade (appears to be a sword/katana?) -they address csm as “chainsaw man” and speak quite strongly so who are our suspects?

well there really arent too many characters who wear white sneakers actually so we can narrow it down to -kobeni -angel -yoshida -kobenis brother

id cross of kobeni and her brother right off the bat. neither of them speak with a strong tone of voice and kobeni only carries a kitchen knife, not a thin blade (and i doubt her brother would just happen to carry around a katana)

many people claim yoshida, but he doesnt talk like that. in the original japanese text this voice is more formal (as if talking to a superior) while yoshida talks to denji/csm very casually. dont really see why that would change here

my number one suspect is angel, as he -wears a public safety uniform -wears white sneakers -has open access to blades/katana due to his power -is a known worshipper of lord chainsaw, so would refer to him as a superior

ive also looked at the characters hands and the camera angle the hands on our suspect are too small to be yoshidas and not slender enough to be kobenis/her brothers and the camera angle cuts off JUST before the tips of angels wings could be shown

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3

In this 2023 film,Rocket (VOiced by Bradley Cooper ) is mortally wounded and on the brink of death ,as the Guardians struggle to save their friend ,we get flashbacks to Rockets orgins at the hands of the HIgh Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji)

SO......I havent kept up with the MCU ,after Endgame,I have only seen Spiderman Far From Home,Werewolf By Night ,a few episodes of What if and Spider Man No Way Home.....But I love the Guardians of the Galaxy so I rewatched the first two films ,plust the Holiday special (DOnt have much to say about it,its just sweet and funny and I love that to cosmic folks actors are viewed as repulsive ).I think the first film is a fun sci fi romp ,second one I prefer due to the performance of Michael Rooker,soundtrack, Kurt Russel being a phenomenal villain and a tearjerking ending

As for my oppinions on this 3rd film.....I'll have to let it simmer a bit ,but I like it as much as the second film,and I like that film a lot.....I also think this both the most emotional of the three and kind of the darkest .....HOwever if I have an issue,the film isnt as accessable as the first two films ,cause the film follows up on Infinity War and Endgame where (Spoilers) Gamora dies ,and the Gamora in this film is a past Gamora from before the begining of Guardians .Also the Holiday special established Mantis is Peters sister and the gangs base is Knowhere-Look I get when people say modern comic book movies are too complicated .That said its not too complicated and is a good film worth a watch

Now I am doing this review cause @ariel-seagull-wings asked me why I considered this film the most emotional ....WEll for one its all about Rocket ,more accurately what Rocket means to his friends and what he means to himself ,The Guardians are afraid to lose him .....And for Rocket we learn his hidden pain ....In that we meet his first group of friends and learn of the horrors inflicted upon him by the High Evolutionary.....I'll get to him later.Add to that each Guardian has their own baggage ,especially Peter ,and there is just a sense of finality to this one ,that the guardians as we know them cant last

NOw I usually go into the cast...But considering the core actors have been playing these roles off and on for 10 years ,these actors are good .I was impressed by the anguish Chris Pratt could convey,KAren Gillian was possibly my second favorite of the main performances ,Sean Gunn gets some time to shine ,Dave Bautista is fun as always,I think Pom Klementief has really come into her own as Mantis ,Zoe Saldanna is basically playing a diffrent version of a character she has played for years so its a unique performance ,Vin Diesel is solid ,and Bradley Cooper is really solid as one could argue this is the Rocket Racoon movie over being a Guardians movie

OTher highlighted characters,Will Poulter brings himbo energy to Adam Warlock and I love it ,Nathan Fillion is a pretty fun punch clock bad guy for a few scenes ,Maria Baklova brings an adorable energy to Cosmo the space dog (Love her dynamic with Kraglin ) and Linda Cardalini is heartbreakingly good as Lyla,Rockets friend

....So lets talk about the High Evolutionary ,cause I think he is one of my favorite MCU villains.Hes not the strongest,not the most clever,nor is he the most complicated.Hes basically a mad scientist with a god complex ......But wow do I DESPISE this bastard,in a good way ,this raving narcistic egomaniac is one of the most vile villains in the MCU ,especially with all the horrors he subjected to Rocket but hes still fun to watch due to a wonderful scene chewing performance by Chukwudi Iwuji

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 176

Okay so once again. Why do we have stairs when 1. Exceeds believe they are a superior magical race and their main magic is Aera, 2. You are considered weak and disgraceful when one-winged or flightless, so 3. Everyone knows how to fly from birth. So, why do we have stairs. So many stairs? Why is this castle, which a human has never stepped foot in, designed for humans?

Like, it makes sense for Shagotte’s eventual reveal, but on the other hand, Shagotte’s eventual reveal to only have one wing feels insignificant because we are only told of how much their pride themselves in their wings at the reveal. Before then, the Exceeds never use their wings on a daily basis. 

Sure the importance of it was that Shagotte is super weak, but I wish the wings itself, which are a crucial point of Happy and Carla’s development in this arc, is emphasized a bit more to tie it all together. 

One thing they could have done to make Shagotte's reveal a bit mor restructured is maybe make the wings more... revelled? Like, maybe its custom for the cats to hide their wings, rather than use them, because they are prideful of it and it's considered crude to use their wings like utilities and transport. The only exception being down on the human country, where they show off their wings just to remind the humans they are below them. So maybe it is considered disrespectful in Extalia to show off your wings before your elders or superiors, and that is why they never show them because the queen doesnt.

So, they should do something like Carla and Happy showing their wings on Extalia in their defiance. Make an emphasis in their time in Extalia to realize the cats frown upon showing your wings every few moments like Happy and Carla usually do in Earthland. It also puts weight into that gorgeous frame of Carla pretending to be the princess to intimidate Knightwalker.

Like, dont mind me, I'm just headcanoning some could-have-beens in the side of world building for the exceeds. As they are, there really isnt much to them except that they have magic and the humans hate/worship them the same way they do the lacrima-- as magic, and not as fellow living beings.

What we got was enough, for what the story is. But I do wonder what could have happened if Edolas had more arcs to develop itself, rather than being a stop-and-go.

What is UP moonlight and ire nation, Im being tormented by intrusive thoughts rn, so I have decided to read a chapter of A Court of Mist and Fury and hope they stop when Im done with this. Last time on the Flames and Darkness Liveblog we had Lucien finally finding Feyre and Feyre being needlessly cruel to him until he left again. also, Feyre used her Tamlin-powers to shapeshift herself a pair of wings and I think that was pretty much it, I feel like not a lot happens in these chapters tbh. And yet I always have so much to say to say about them... Whatever, lets get into this

Is Feyre smelling the other people at this inn having sex? what kinda smells and noises is she talking about

Theyre in a village that consists of just the inn theyre staying at, a tailor, a grocery store and a brothel? I mean presumably theres actual houses there too but that doest seem right. Also, if its as in-the-middle-of-nowhere as Feyre claims, where the hell are they getting groceries and what kind of groceries are they selling

of course theres only ONE BED and its soooooo small oh noooo do you guys think theyre gonna have sex or what

Oh and of course Feyre cant demand that Rhysand sleep on the floor because its too small to even do that theyre gonna have the wildest sex, and by wildest sex I mean theyre both gonna squeeze each other into the bed under the comically small ceiling of this broomcloset of a room and lay on top of each other without moving like a sandwhch made out of just faemeat

I feel like a cape thats cut to fit around these bigass illyrian wings would lose a lot of its functionality tbh, unless it was like, a wrapping for the wings to protect them from the cold, but I dont think thats the case with Rhysand's cape, i think it either just has holes or is some kind of weird shape, but I feel like if your in these harsh winter winds, having a cape fluttering around your wings would be pretty distracting considering how sensitive supposedly they are

WAIT. do we count this cape as a new Rhys-outfit or do we not. Im on the fence because on one hand, he's just wearing it with his usual illyrian leathers and its really just an accessoire, like I wouldnt count what he wore in the CoN as a new outfit just because he wore a crown with his black tunic, but on the other hand, I feel like a cape can really drastically alter the look of an outfit in a way most other acessoires cant. let me know what you think

By far the worst part about this book are all the sections where Feyre will just suck Rhysand off for a paragraph, she would not fucking say that

'"No, [you weren't afraid of me]. You were nervous, but you weren't afraid. I've felt pure fear often enough that I know the difference. Maybe that's why I couldn't leave you alone."' god, rhysand is such a creepy little freak. and not the good kind either

Feyre is being all like "oh, sure, the bed isnt small but we couldnt possibly both sleep in it without completely getting into each other's personal space, especially with his wings" girl??? tell him to put those thangs away???

god this paragraph is so annoying 'Fae-men were possessive, dominant and arrogant but the men of the Spring Court had a certain disregard [for my wishes] laying beneath the the surface' my brother in christ you have been in two and a half (2 1/2) courts and you know seven (7) fae-men personally

Also, this part where Feyre is like "if I was wasting away and Rhysand just stood by without doing anything about it, Cassian and Azriel would've gotten involved and given him a piece of their minds" is so funny knowing whats gonna happen in acosf, like no they fucking wouldnt! what are you talking about!

Oh man it just occurred to me. this is the chapter where Feyre finds out theyre mates isnt it. Or like, this part whre theyre at this inn is when she finds out, Im pretty sure itll last for multiple chapters

"[Rhysand] saw right through Ianthe the moment he met her." yeah because she broke into his bedroom and sexually harassed him and just outright told him that she wanted to have his children for the sake of power ?? I would hope he would see through that

I feel like theres been this pattern in this book of Feyre only being able to compliment Rhys in contrast with Tamlin and its very strange because you would think that after speedrunning their relationship development and spending about 500 pages worth of time with him, she would be able to point out some of his positives without immediately connecting them to her ex's negatives, but I guess thats too much to ask of this ROMANCE

Like, I forgot if this was something Feyre already said or if this is still coming up but I know theres a point in this book where she's like "I think I just loved Tamlin pre-UTM because I was so broken and traumatized from my shitty homelife that I fell for the first person to show me some kindness" and that is not how their relationship felt in ACOTAR at all atleast in my opinion, but that definitely is how Feysand feels in this book

I really hate it when male characters are described as having "hard muscles" it sounds so unpleasant. im saying this primarily as someone who likes to read about characters cuddling and prefers it when theyre soft for that, but even if we're just talking smut, does having sex with a "hard" guy sound pleasant to you? or, well. you know what i mean

Im not gonna translate the shit Rhysand just said to Feyre, tldr he thinks shes hot and wants to fuck her but the room is too small for that woe is him, and ughhhh. Im struggling to explain this in a way that doesnt make me sound puritanical, but something about the horniness of their relationship makes it feel really gross to me, its not just the fact that this relationship is horny because I can very much enjoy a horny fictional relationship sometimes, but the horny relationships that I usually enjoy are like, warm and pleasant from the eroticism of it all, Feysand is just kinda gross and sticky to me

Feyre's negative self-talk in regards to her feelings for Rhysand and Tamlin feels so forced, like cmon man, you keep talking about how much Tamlin sucks ass and how much better Rhys is for you how are you still experiencing any kind of inner conflict about this

Also, Feyre talking about how she was constantly thinking about Rhysand even before she left the spring court is just, a lie. does SJM not expect her readers to remember anything

To be honest, Etho didn't try cut Pearl's wings off, or was pruporsely aiming at them. He just wanted to hit Pearl to stop her from running away with his and Joel's stuff... But when she had her back turned on him, well...it was hard to miss them, you know? He did wanted to apologize to her after that, but in his clouded Red mind he didn't find the reason or the need to do it. If he was still Yellow, he would try to offer something to help Pearl heal and be able to fly again soon...as Red, he doesn't even consider that.

Grian, on the other hand? Oh, he certainly knew what he was doing and why. Making an example out of someone, you want everyone else to see it. You want them to see what happens to those who wont stay in line and follow the rules.

Also, you only know the "reactions" of Gem and Cleo about Pearl's wings being hurt/gone (should I count Grian too?...Yeah let's count Grian too, he had a grin on his face when he did what he did)...
