I don't think I've ever done one of these before, but I really like this jacket. It's a marlboro jacket but I don't smoke and I already feel bad telling people I don't have a light and that will be bad x100 when I'm literally wearing a cigarette jacket so I tried to cover the patch up with one I made. cause I really like this jacket

#most of my family smokes (which is why I don't) so no judgement but yeah I dont have any I can share.. I could carry a lighter for people ig #but damn. what a good jacket. you cant even see the whole thing and my cool red belt with it #anyways. i wanted to post both my pre corruption and post design version at once so here you go!

they might be subject to change in the future, but i don't think i wanna go overboard with detail for nightmare's passive form; cause not only would her fancy princess clothing be stolen or ripped and torn ages ago with all the bullying and blood staining it, but also the twins have to change their clothes every once in a while to clean them or at least when they get too small to fit, so the outfits have to be replaceable/easy to mend and sew back hhh xD

also no crowns for this version of mine, but a crescent moon hair clip turned necklace for night, and a sun clip turned belt for dream! her design coming soon (hopefully :'D)

Hey y'all! Do you have any recommendations for things to do or not do when sewing clothing? Basically, where to start? I've made doll clothes and a few skirts for my nieces, but I don't wear skirts or dresses and I am doing fine on pajama pants, so I think the like easiest thing for me to start with will be shorts? Probably like quilting cotton, elastic waist super simple ones, I just don't know a good pattern to try and don't know enough about clothing patterns to know how to pick a good pattern

#the person behind the yarn #I mean a couple pairs of like cotton or linen-ish shorts (if I can find any linen) with like patch pockets would be great #but I think my ideal item of clothing would honestly be like just-below-knee length shorts #but the poofy kind? that has like an elastic gather at the bottom?#like somewhere between joggers and ren-faire-ish pants #full range of motion! large pockets! will stay in place when I Move Weirdly as I am apt to do!#those are on my list to make someday #it would also be cool to have a machine washable poofy pirate-y shirt #except I know I strongly dislike wearing long sleeves because I get them caught on things #or inevitably just push them up above my elbows #idk if there's a sleeve equivalent of those just-below-the-knee pants?#those are longer term goals I'm starting more reasonably: shorts

Huh... just connected the dots between my soul-crushing shame and inability to imagine myself "carelessly having fun" without feeling a Heavy Judging Gaze That Thinks I'm Such A Funny Stupid Little Baby on myself and like... my parents finding it the funniest thing in the world, worth bringing up over and over despite my discomfort, that I used to bob funnily to the music as a toddler

#basically I seem to like... react v strongly to being told that my body and the way I use it is somehow inherently hilarious #there have been cases where people would take photos of me when I wasn't paying attention and was making a HILARIOUS pose #and they'd either show it to me or reupload them on group chats like look how fucking funny! and i'd go awhhh come on guys :< like u do #but internally i'd be like WHAT the fuck is wrong with me that i'm the only person getting this treatment #basically i just. seem to be inherently cringefail no matter what I do and instead of rolling with it like a normal person would i am inste #*instead very sensitive about being perceived as a funny pathetic moron. and i do imprint on similar characters which means I always #end up internally tormented when 99% of the fandom is pissing their pants laughing over how incredibly hilarious this wannabe cool #(but actually incurably pathetic) this (character I can relate to) is. its this like. inability of achieving physical dignity? okay this is #nothing but basically. the emotional anguish of being aware that you might think you're doing normal things and moving normally #but unbeknownst to you (and very well knownst to everyone else) you're wearing squeaky fish-shaped slippers with a long piece of #toilet paper trailing after each one AND slipping on banana peels at the same time #no matter if i dance silly style together with friends OR try to look cool and sexy there's this huge Eye constantly present at the back of #my mind that coos about how cute and funny i am half of the time. and laugh uproariously the other half #which is why: i don't dance + cover my mouth while smiling + happiness is for other people #shrimp thoughts #it's wild how fucked up brains can get.
