Sometimes I see this misunderstanding and I'd like to clarify it. When Ukrainian say "russian drones/shahed drones/iranian drones," we don't mean this kind of drones:

We mean THIS kind of drones that can carry a warhead and are essentially used as missiles:

While they're not as large, destructive and difficult to intercept as, say, ballistic missiles, they can still cause significant damage. Russia launches them at us every night, but most are successfully shot down.

Hi! Thank you all who reached out to me via notes, asks, comments, and messages. Your support has kept me warm in the worst moments.

My cat Simura passed away in the morning of November 15. I'd like to make a post about her and my pets in general, but probably later. I loved her, will love her always, and her absence hurts so much that I can't express it properly.

A few days later, I lost my job. For the second time this year. Once again, my entire department has been let go because the company decided to change its area of focus.

Then, Russia has fired an intercontinental missile at us. Dnipro city took the hit. Fortunately, the missile itself wasn't filled with nuclear explosives, but Russia keeps saying the next one will be, so that got me really down, too.

I spent a few days feeling completely defeated - so many bad things just keep happening all at once, it's a nightmare.

I'm trying to be carefully optimistic, though. I rescued a new cat from the streets. She's old, very affectionate, and sick, and some assholes kicked her out in the cold. She's undergoing treatment at the vet currently, but hopefully, this week, I will be able to take her home. My last salary + your Patreon and PayPal support allow me to take care of her needs until I find a new job, so thank you so much for it.

I passed two stages of a job interview, and I expect to get an offer any day now. I don't want to be overly presumptuous - there were times when I was sure everything would be fine and then it wasn't, but still, I'm hopeful.

I'm finally feeling a bit better, so this week, I'm going back to fic writing and to Tumblr. I missed you, my characters and my settings, so I'm relieved to feel okay enough to treat myself to my hobbies again.
