etoile devereaux is being punished for crimes no one committed. the minotaurs father was a bull that the queen of minos was cursed to fall in love with. this was to punish the king (her husband) for not sacrificing the bull. its kind of like her story in that shes vanessas forbidden fruit, shes made to fall in love but shes also made to die. shes a punishment. loving her is a punishment. shes being punished for a crime she didnt commit that wasnt anyones fault. she has to die she has the tip of a pen pointed at her throat her death is a lesson and not a tragedy. is death worth the price for loving? the answer is that why is love punishable by death. someone made a mistake that was placed on vanessa and now etoile has to pay the price. the minotaur didnt even ask to be born and the queen didnt ask for the bull and its someones fault maybe but its not etoiles so why is she the scapegoat. the sacrificial lamb. the bull of minos

And they are both visibly in love
