no it's actually hilarious that this fandom has sympathy for vecna because they think he was abused as a kid. he wasn't abused. there were no implications towards this. him saying to el that there was more behind the story of his childhood does not automatically equal abuse. on screen, his father was clearly caring and loving towards his wife, daughter, and son. vecna saying that to el probably meant he "witnessed the cruelties of this world" and went insane about it like a fucking weirdo.

Oh my god hi! thank you so much for asking and indulging me lol. Most of my hcs revolve about how they would get together lol. Like I like to think them getting together would be so messy because they’re idiots who don’t talk about their feelings and also because I just live for that angst of them getting so jealous of each while also just wanting so desperately to be included. It’s just the whole I don’t like how chummy those two are but also I wish they’d invite me :(((.

It’s stuff like like usopp being jealous of zolu’s whole captain first mate devotion and sanjis jealousy of lusopps easy intimacy or zoro not liking the way sanji seems to have luffy wrapped around his finger just because he feeds him etc etc

There would be all this tension between all of them until eventually two of them get together and the easy balance they precariously maintained breaks and it leads to a bunch of delicious chaos lol.

On a lighter less angstier note Luffy has most definitely at some point tried to cook for Sanji to pay him back for all the extra meals he had made him and Sanji has eaten it because he hates wasting food and also because he was so moved by the gesture and is immediately bedridden as result lol. Usopp has to nurse him back to health while Zoro just laughs at him but also he would be hovering the whole time like a shadow lol

@emptydespair the way i literally would never have said this two years ago because i'd have been run out of the fandom :')

also, i'd argue that red meat has nothing to do with wi/ncest and was actually about destiel but they went too subtle (something i didn't know berens was capable of so i'm attributing it to dabb) and ended up writing an ep beloved by wi/ncest shippers. berens and dabb (who co-wrote) do not have a great grasp of character interiority compared to other writers on spn and red meat was an ep that really needed less plot and more interiority.

Off the top of my head oooo Tucker. Tucker, Tucker, Tucker.

"Middle child" of a friend group of kings who's the unruly, improper one of the group. You don't know much about his backstory other than "My dad used to be king, but he was horrible, so overthrew and exiled him." Come to find out it wasn't just his dad who was exiled but his nine older brothers who start coming back into his life after seven or so years. As you get to know the brothers, you discover that they're all (save for one who's still figuring things out, but even he isn't necessarily bad) decent people. Very broken, some more than others, but decent men. Tucker exiling and slandering them made their already terrible lives even worse, and in one brother's case his wife and kids' lives too. As they return and reconnect, he discovers that most of the brothers, except for the one with the family, forgive him for his actions.

It's eventually revealed that his reason for doing this, despite his brothers being nowhere near as evil as his dad, is that he felt abandoned by them. The brothers were close until their mother died, then they drifted apart. Overthrowing his dad was something he'd been planning for a while. Wanting things to go back to how they were and knowing they were ALL miserable, Tucker gave all of his brothers multiple chances to join him, or at least offer help and support. They all refused for reasons ranging from "It's a bad idea" to "I have too much in my own life to worry about now." Once the dust settles, all that remains is a very volatile and emotional 16 year old boy who has just made himself king by force, and his first decree? To send his "evil" family somewhere far, far away, never to be seen again.

I definitely think that if I'm ever fortunate(?) enough to garner a fandom, he'd spark a lot of debate. "He caused a lot of suffering because of a selfish decision he made and doesn't deserve forgiveness" vs. "He was a traumatized 16 year old pumped full of adrenaline when he made said decision and is trying to make things right now."

question for oc enjoyers: which of your ocs would spark a debate so heated it got an entire fandom poll tournament shut down
