between bullying, disability burnout, constant accidents (ie, being accidentally body slammed by almost full grown men), excessive stress, more bullying, horrific and large scale junk food consumption during exam seasons and overall shit fuckery, School is managing to single handedly SLAUGHTER my health. god someone send healing potions. the weakness in my dragon hide is EDUCATIOn. Okay guys literally I can't take the "Leviathan School Boy" thing seriously because Mirjami's teenaged years were the worst for her.

That card inspired me to actually get into it so let's talk about Mirjami's teenaged years

If you recall I've written how Mirjami gets adopted by a Greek Family and they move around a lot. It gets to a point where Mirjami is super depressed; She is a very slow learner, she is still mourning her parents, she hates moving around so much, and she struggles with taking care of herself because she just feels overwhelmed through it all. And Minhyeok is there but like... Mirjami moves around so much they barely see each other.

It's a horrible time for her. From Middle School to High School, Mirjami's got it horribly bad but eventually as she gets to senior year and her adoptive parents actually send her to a summer camp and get her help, she finally is able to blossom. She begins to exercise a bit more, trims her eyebrows and fixes her acne, she wears contacts, her purple hair actually comes in naturally after she cuts it short and soon she wears more color.

She felt really neglected and depressed in her teenaged years but going to college or finally being done with high school would be where she flourished because she finally got to choose for herself.

Mirjami needed a consistent environment that she got at camp and I imagine college is where she really came into herself. High School was just something she endured.

( And as for Leviathan I feel like if he's going back to that time in her memories his presence isn't going to make her feel better- If anything she's gonna feel worse because she doesn't WANT attention and Leviathan gets all the attention on him!!! (ಥ ͜ʖಥ)(ಥ ͜ʖಥ)(ಥ ͜ʖಥ) )

It is awlful to be a teenager in 2023.

I feel like it's not talked about enough how it is being a teenager in this new post pandemic era.

I stopped being a child and became a teenager during Covid-19 and I can guarantee you it was one of the most awful times to start experiencing this whole new thing in such a way.

Of course it's always been horrible being a teen, but I think that this whole new technological era and how our mental health was altered by the pandemic influences a lot on how people my age see the world and the whole teen experience itself now.

This whole generation is now way more conscious about everything that's constantly happening in the world every day. Nietzsche once said that knowledge can be man's worst nightmare, because the more self conscious we become the more depressed we start to feel every new day that comes by.

We saw technology develop and "grow up" at the same time as we did, right in front of our eyes and at our fingertips, and I think that's gen-z's biggest curse.

Growing up I've always had this idea that there was this non-existent audience right there.

Even now I can always catch myself talking to no one as if I was in a YouTube video, and I think it is one of the most uncanny things that we collectively do as a generation.

We have this false idea that we're constantly being watched and judged, but at the same time we have this constant need to be heard and seen, and it becomes an unhealthy loop.

As Bo Burnham said, the economy of being young is attention. Talking for myself, I am in fact not bullied as much as I am ignored, and to not be seen is such a hell to be through in 2023. In Burnham's words: We feel like if our lives aren't viewed, we're not real, and if we're not seen we just don't exist.

Of course we prefer to be on our phones all the time, the world we live in is pretty shit.

And then we have this whole digital space where we can have our own personal experiences, with everything we enjoy constantly being right there all the time.

The real world becomes a stage for this digital performance, we adopt some sort of characters or personas. Online, I have the friends I was never able to make in the real world. I have the confidence to talk about everything I want to at any time I feel like it.

We have to choose every night between Infinity or Oblivion, as Burnham said, and I honestly couldn't put it into better words to describe it.

It's such a burden to be trought at such a young age and I sometimes just simply wish I could go through all of this teen hell thing 10 years ago, when the world wasn't as fucked up as it is now, when internet was way more healthy and people somehow still cared a little for each other.

My school has a bathroom system with those papers that have individual things you have your teacher fill out and you only get a certain amount each quarter, and today a kid very calmly told my teacher he had to throw up and my teacher told him he didn't need to get his paper, juts go to the bathroom, and if the bathroom monitor asks just tell them you have to throw up, so he went but he got fucking sent back and he didn't have his paper so my teacher had to go down there and tell the bathroom monitor that he had to let the guy in because he was literally about to throw up.

Why are fandom discord servers some of the most stress inducing places in the world like why is it when you post anything into any chat it feels like either a) you're purposely being ignored or b) you've pissed someone off just by speaking. And it's such a pain in the dick because if you want any sort of help with anything or want to be even a little bit apart of a community you have to be in these servers. Amidst all the stuff going on with Mappa studios, I want to shout out all the animators on staff. They work far too hard, often long and impossible hours, with very little appreciation. Not just for Jujutsu Kaisen, all of Mappa's productions -Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Chainsaw Man, Hell's Paradise, etc. I hope that the animation staff gets the appreciation they deserve, all roughly 360 people on staff- along with more reasonable treatment. I'm completely fine with waiting a bit longer for episodes if the staff making them are treated like actual human beings.
