First time writing an ask kinda nervous….. imagine you went to the tennis academy with ArtPatrick and they never really noticed you, not really on their radar but you end up going to Stanford and befriended Tashi and they are just whipped for you idk what else to add IM SO NERVOUS
Yes yes yes that's so cute! The boys being completely smitten with reader 🥹🥹🥹 I could make a series from this cause this one's a bit short (I've no inspiration😔). Let's pretend that in this neither of the boys study at Stanford and Patrick isn't dating Tashi.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
To begin the story simply, tennis is the main focus of your life. Or at least used to be, until you hit puberty. With hormones running through your body, up and down from head to toe, and your periods happening each month, you started noticing significant changes not only in your physique but your mentality too. Suddenly, boys were all you think about.
While slowly building your teenage career and attending the academy, you kept your eyes on boys around you, subconsciously searching for a partner. And you considered yourself pretty normal. Not many thoughts about sex, at least not the hardcore version of it, just hoping for a nice monogamous relationship with a guy who'd love and support you unconditionally. Until you met Patrick Zweig and Art Donaldson.
Aside from your crush on Brad Pitt as Achilles, you were never really smitten with boys before, so your poor brain froze the moment you entered the court and a mix of two muscular - for their age - moans reached your ears. There they were. The brunet one was taller, a mess of curly hair sticking to his forehead, and he was a bit more expressive too. Most of the groans were from his mouth, face grimacing as he chased the ball, limbs long. Next to him, on the court, was a guy who's blond hair was hidden under a cap, but you caught a glimpse of his big nose. This one, was a bit more muscular, eyes creased in concentration.
It's safe to say that you became obsessed with them, figuring out their schedule to be on the court exactly at the same time. It wasn't really your thing before, but you began tucking your skirts a bit higher so they could possibly catch a glimpse of your ass, and make sure to groan loud enough when you hit the ball. Every so often, your eyes would trail towards the two, eager to see if they are watching you, only to end up disappointed if you find them immersed in a deep conversation.
It shattered your poor teenage ego, especially when you decided to greet them - reminding yourself that tennis players all know one another so it won't be that awkward - only to end up with a light wave from Art in response. Honestly, you were devastated.
Now, one year into Stanford, you've managed to successfully push the two towards the most dark depths of your mind, focusing back on tennis. You are grateful to have befriended a fellow player - Tashi Duncan - who has become something close to a best friend. You hadn't really heard of her before, perhaps once or twice on the sport's channel news, but she has proven as an incredibly complex person. For her age, she is far above average, dominating every match, but her soul is delicate enough to flow in sync with yours.
The two of you are dorm mates, spend a lot of time together and have found much needed calmness in the presence of one another, a friendship one could really ask for. Doing the talk, you've learnt about Tashi's family, hobbies and friends - two of which, she has mentioned, were named Art and Patrick. Rings a bell?
And definitely rings a bell, if not even slaps you across the face, when you come back to your dorm after practice, eager for a shower and a good afternoon's rest, only to find two boys occupying your two beds. And Tashi's nowhere.
"Oh, hi," the blond guy is the first to break the awkward silence, rubbing the back of his neck bashfully. "We didn't know you were coming. We, um- we're waiting here for Tashi."
You nod, eyes trailing between the two boys, each of them gazing you up and down. And suddenly, you become too aware of your attire - a really mini *mini* skirt and a light sports bra, your top stuffed somewhere in your sports bag that you've dropped by the door - and it's easy to see the boys aren't trying to hide their excitement.
"Well, she's still at practice so..." you mutter, crossing arms over your chest to somehow hide whatever the boys are looking at.
"Should we go?" Art proposes, finger pointing at the door.
"No, no, you can wait here. I'm just gonna shower so I can't really entertain you." you offer the boys a small smile and quickly fish some clothes out of the wardrobe and disappear in the bathroom.
The boys exchange a glance, mouths parted and eyes wide. Damn. It's been a long time since they've seen a girl this pretty! Your flushed cheeks and plump lips are all engraved in their minds, the sight of you in so little clothes hard to erase. God, your cleavage was so full, almost spilling out of that bra, that Patrick desperately wished the fabric would magically burst and he's ve granted with the clear view of your tits.
You reenter the dorm in a fresh set of clothes, combed hair flowing down your back and the boys' eyes are on you again, small, playful smirks on their faces. You try to ignore the butterflies in your tummy and the way your voice threatens to quiver as you approach your own bed, currently occupied by Patrick.
"Do you mind?"
"No, no, enough space for both of us," he replies nonchalantly, patting the space next to him, but that smug smile on his face is hard to miss.
Your eyes roll, arms crossing. He knows damn well that's not what you meant. "Just move."
Patrick grins, raising his arms in mock defense and reluctantly pushes up from his spot only when Art commands him with a soft c'mon Pat, allowing you to plop down.
For a long while, now both settled on Tashi's bed, the boys study you, taking notice of the way your sweater clings to your skin, the way your bare feet tap against the floor nervously and how you're trying to look all calm and indifferent, picking up a random book from the nightstand to demonstrate so. But Patrick breaks the silence.
"So, who're you?"
The question surprises you and perhaps hurts a bit, as you realise the boys have completely forgotten your face, despite seeing it for years in the academy. Perhaps you hoped they would remember you.
"Tashi's roommate... Y/N." you add when they raise a brow.
"Y/N." the name rolls off of Art's tongue sweetly as he repeats it. He likes how it sounds, it's simple but very flirting, as if your face was meant to hold such a name.
Patrick, meanwhile, imagines himself screaming that name. Not only that, his mind is filled with various scenarios where you are the main character.
The boys introduce themselves, not that it's needed for you, and for a moment, you're almost tempted to remind them that you actually know each other. "Yeah, I know you."
"You do?" Patrick asks, raising a brow, almost too excited.
Fuck. But you can't just tell them how much of a crush you had on both of the boys back in the academy, how many days and nights you spent thinking about them, imagining that'd be thinking about you too, imagining all the possible moments you three could have spent together.
"Um, yeah, from the... From Tashi." you stumble over your words. "She's mentioned you before a couple of times."
The boys nod, looking you all over, examining every single of your tiny mannerisms that are on display, the way you nervously scratch the back of your neck and chew onto your lower lip. Fuck. You're so cute in their eyes, they could watch you forever.
A slightly awkward silence settles over the room, and the more intense their gazes become, the more nervous you are. God damn, where the hell is Tashi when you need her the most? If you'll be forced to stay alone with Art and Patrick for one more minute, you're probably gonna go crazy and say something incredibly stupid or just jump in one of their laps and begin kissing them.
Like a miracle, a much needed knight in shining armor, Tashi shows up. She greets her friends, introduces you three once again before finally taking the boys out. Like they're on a leash, the boys follow her without a single protest, but before they leave the dorm, two sly smirks are shot in your direction. What you don't hear, after the door closes, is the boys smothering Tashi in questions about you.

not you / nishimura riki
synopsis: out of all the people that could've hurt me, i didn't expect one of them to be you.
warnings: angst and angst and more angst, heartbreaks, toxic behavior, mixed signals, cheating, lmk if i missed anything else.
pairing: riki x reader, takes place in college
wc: 14.7k
With your phone alarm going off, you come out of the bathroom, ready and prepared for the day ahead of you. Numbers on the clock tell you that you have enough time to eat breakfast, brush your teeth then head to your first class of the day. When we say breakfast, we mean coffee and maybe toast bread (if you're lucky) because that's the kind of luxury living in a dorm gets you. Roommates aren't always the best thing ever but lucky you, you did not get the shorter end of the stick. Because of Bahiyyih, she was a year above you but that did not matter since you two seem like long lost sisters. She's definitely one of the reasons why you are currently mentally sane.
Unfortunately, she'll also be the reason why you meet the one that will make your college life a living hell and test that sanity of yours. Being close to her means you come along to her brothers' dancing competitions, being at those competitions also means you meeting Nishimura Riki...
Here's the thing, there was nothing wrong with Riki, when you first met the rest of Huening Kai's dance group members; Riki was the most kind and most welcoming. He was someone who you clicked with so easily, someone who presented himself as if he was so trustworthy... emphasis on 'was'. Because right now, the man standing in front of you is reminding you what 'hindsight' is.
It started during your freshman year, after gaining a solid friendship with Bahiyyih; she wanted to bring you to one of her brother's performances for the school's event. You never minded going to them because you enjoyed musical art in your own time as well. When you went to see these events, you only ever looked at the group as a whole, judging their skills and expertise. That was until you went backstage to see Huening Kai. His group just won first place and you went over with Bahiyyih to congratulate them.
That's when your life was going to start shifting because when you knocked on the door, Riki opened the door with a warm smile, and gestured you guys to enter. "Hiyyih, nice to see you again" he says in a sarcastic tone, showing the close-ness he has with Bahiyyih as well.
"Oh Riki, I love seeing you around" Hiyyih responds back with the same kind of sarcasm. "This is yn, be nice". You looked up at him, and geez did that feel like an effort to do since he was 6ft tall, maybe even more than that. He smiles shyly as he notices how cute your height difference was. "Wow, look at Riki boy being all shy, that's new". one of the other guys say, which you later find out it was a senior named Heeseung.
"Leave him alone guys before he becomes beet red" Huening Kai walks in and greets you after. You look back at Riki who was still opening the door, standing in the same spot. "You okay there, bud?" Kai nudges him; getting him out of his trance. "What? Love at first sight?"
There you have it, your little meet-cute with Riki, it is also the day that marks the teasing shipping by everyone that knew you two. But that did not stop Riki from sticking around, it's like the teasing only egged him on to bother you as well. Since that day, nothing could have prepared you for the antics and shenanigans Riki would add into your life. But you weren't complaining.
"What's going on with you and Riki?"
"Are you two dating?"
"Do you like him?"
You felt like you were being interrogated by your friends at the lunch table. Since they saw that Riki treated you for boba tea and cake, also they noticed how he would constantly do romantic things for you, which you had to try your best to explain how you were friends and that he was just a natural gentleman.
"Yeah, cause any guy would go out of their way to get you things in the middle of the night, offer to run errands for you, and buy you flowers just because...why not?" At this point, your friends were setting you up for failure since they were not letting you rebuttal and debunk their theories.
"Guys, I swear...we are just friends." shoving another spoonful in your mouth and rolling your eyes at your friends. Look, you had no issue with the constant teasing and shipping but sometimes they can push it.
"Oh yeah, then why is he coming over with a bag of goodies like he knows you're on your period today?" turning around, and yes, he was coming over to your table with a black plastic bag filled with necessities. "Hey yn, I picked up some stuff when I went to the convenience with the boys." He hands over the bag and you take it with a smile. "Wait, why did you-"
"I just took notice to your cycle-" Riki stops himself when he realized how shocked you looked and maybe started thinking that he was a psycho. "Oh- OH wait...did that sound weird...I'm sorry." soon after, you had to assure him that it was okay and that you never expected it.
After he leaves, you sit back down and face your friends who had a certain look and smile on their faces. Some of them raising their eyebrows at you, like they want to say "just friends, huh?"
"Don't even start" warning them but the look still remains on their face. Again, rolling your eyes and focusing back to eating lunch before you had to drag your feet to your next class.
Guess what? you have that next dreaded class with him.
Later, you're in your usual seat, re reading the notes in case the professor wants to suddenly have a pop quiz. So focused that you do not realize that he already sat next to you. "Do we have an exam that I don't know about?" eyes leaving the notebook to look at him, one bicep on the table, head held by his palm. He's rocking the same hip hop fit and classic smirk.
"Why do you have to stress yourself out like this, relax yn" taking the book out of your hands and closing it. Before you could say anything, he places it on his desk and looks back at you. "There's no pop quiz or exam, the professor isn't even coming to class."
"What if there's a substitute and they give us a task?" chuckling, he looks at the wall clock and gives you an ultimatum. "In the next 20 minutes, if no one shows up, let's get out of here and just hang?" This was nothing new, Riki has always proposed this idea to you but never got to happen. So, you always just say yes.
Usually after he would give the ultimatum, the professor or the sub with walk in. To which you see the disappointment in his eyes as he slumps in his chair, along with a "I hate this class".
But this time, it has passed 15 minutes and no one else but your classmates have entered the room. For those 15 minutes, Riki has been mentally planning on what he's going to do or where he's going to take you if you both do end up leaving. Why was he even nervous, he's been out with you, multiple times...but in groups.
Another 5 minutes goes by and before Riki could bask in his victory, someone from the faculty comes in. You smirk and rub his back jokingly. He looks back at you and sends you a death glare. "You hate me that much? You can't even spend an hour and a half alone with me?" As he starts pouting, the professor speaks up.
"Your professor won't be able to make it in today, he also did not leave any task or assignment, so you are free to go." now the reactions are switched, your smirk fading and Riki's pout turning into a smile.
Now, you find yourself in the newly opened cafe in the campus. With a very happy Riki. "Now that I think about it, you're stuck with me for 4 years, and maybe even beyond that. You know...after graduation." He sips on his coffee and whips out his phone. "What if I move schools?"
"Then I'll just have to follow you there." Taking a picture of the food and while you were looking out the window, he snaps a quick picture. "You look pretty, yn." its times like this where you start to question if your friends were right and maybe Riki has feelings for you, but you think back to his interactions with other females; he pretty much acts the same towards them...but does he call other girl pretty and take them out to more than just friendly dates?
"Riki, can I ask you something?" You couldn't let this live on anymore, you had to get a straight answer from him, getting the answer to this 'what are we' situation you both were in.
"Sure, anything."
"Even if it might change our friendship?" He pauses but bounces back quickly and proceeds to shrug. "It can't be that bad, shoot"
"Do you perhaps...like me? romantically?" Looking straight at him. "I just...I'm getting mixed signals from you and I-"
"I do"
"What?"
"I really do"
From that moment on, your freshman year was occasionally filled with Nishimura Riki.
In the beginning, everything was molded perfectly into your life, nothing seemed to overlap, had a handful academic stress but had resilience. Riki was the addition that you loved. In the beginning.
The first official date happened a week after that talk, Riki decided to go to your dorm room, which was extremely restricted to males, but somehow, he slipped through the wire and convinced you to go on a spontaneous date. He took you to a park and you two had a picnic and played soccer together. It was a fun time, getting to know Riki and him getting to know you on a different level and for a different reason.
The first kiss was when you were at a little group hang out, Riki and his friends separated from you and the others, only to come back with funny disguises; embarrassing you guys by dancing and singing loudly in the middle of the mall and only promising to stop if you kissed his cheek. Which you were going to do but he moved his face so you could kiss his lips.
The first 'I love you' was when it was spring break for freshman year when Riki had to go back to his hometown to visit his family. When you two were saying your goodbyes, you said the three little words.
As the sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the campus, you and Riki found yourselves standing beneath a blossoming cherry blossom tree. It was the last day before spring break, and Riki's hometown beckoned him back to his family.
Finally, with a soft sigh, you looked up at him, your gaze filled with affection and vulnerability. "I love you," you whispered, the words hanging in the air between you like delicate petals.
Riki's heart skipped a beat as he processed your confession, a rush of warmth flooding his chest. He felt a lump form in his throat, overwhelmed by the intensity of his emotions. "I love you too," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper but filled with sincerity.
A little fast forward to second year, you were now both sophomores; still going strong as a couple. It been roughly 8 months since you two got together in February, during your freshman year. Now we stand in September, the very first day of your sophomore year. First day was always nerve wracking for you, no matter what because you have too much to look forward to but also so many things to worry about.
But still, your main focus and priority was still to be on the grind, work your butt off to get high grades, do extra-curricular activities, but still making times for friends and loved ones.
And that's what you made sure to do, months passed, and you were one of the few students who were on the top of their classes but still manage to have their own private life, to others; you make it look so easy.
"Got time for your boyfriend, or no?" Putting down your book and then sitting down next to you, Riki had a pout on his face, giving you puppy eyes. "You seem to like this book more than me these days" continuing to sulk until you give in and give him attention for the rest of the day.
"I just have an exam coming up, that's all." You try to reason but nothing ever seems to work for Riki, "I still reach out and keep you updated though" unfazed, he simple places his face to rest on his palm, still facing you with the same pout and puppy eyes. Sighing, putting down your reviewers and pens, asking him what he wants.
"I'm not taking you completely away from your study time, I know how important this is to you but take a break, let's go out and get some snacks, then we can come back here and I can study with you?"
Now you knew your boyfriend, and this man does not study. But somehow, still gets decent grades, far from a failing one. "You? studying, that's funny."
"Hey, I'm turning a new leaf, I want to match my smarty pants of a girlfriend." Rolling your eyes as you pack your things. After zipping up your bag, Riki goes to carry your bag for you, along with his.
You really felt like Riki was meant to be in your life and you were meant to be in his. The two of you just seemed too perfect for one another, as said by many people in your life. The support, love, and genuine care you have for one another was something you rarely see in college couples. Others tried to find a flaw in you two but somehow, nothing seemed to come to the light. Sure, there were small arguments here and there but even for your first big fight, you both never screamed nor yelled at ech other to get your point across. It was all clear and patient communication to fix whatever caused the problem. It was never you vs him, it was always you two vs the problem.
"Seriously, have you ever seen a more inseparable pair? They're like two peas in a pod!" Kai says while gesturing to Riki and You
"I know, right? I'm convinced nothing could tear those two apart." Hiyyih nods in agreement
"Yeah, not even a tornado or a zombie apocalypse could break their bond. They're like the ultimate relationship goals." Jay laughs as he watched you two from the distance.
"Hey, let's not jinx it. Knowing these two, they'd probably take on a zombie horde together and come out unscathed." Heeseung raises his eyebrows but says sarcastically.
-
"Can you calm down; you're stressing me out!" one of the guys on the dance team takes hold of Riki's jittering self. Clearly, he was under stress and pressure to do well in this event. "Yeah Riki, you'll do great, like always" Kai comes up to him and pats him on the back.
"Yeah, but this time, I have a solo part and what if I-"
"You won't. You're literally a born to be dancer and performer." there you are, what Riki needed right now. Walking into the room giving him the biggest hug you could give him but considering the height difference, you were more like a baby bear to him.
"You've got this, Riki. Just remember to breathe and let your passion flow through every movement."
"Thanks, Babe. I don't know what I'd do without you here."
The emcee's voice echoes through the speakers, announcing the next performance. Riki takes a deep breath, centering himself as he steps onto the stage, the spotlight illuminating his figure.
As the music begins to play, Riki's movements are fluid and graceful, his body seemingly moving in perfect harmony with the rhythm. Each step is imbued with emotion, a testament to his dedication and talent.
From the wings, You watch with bated breath, heart swelling with pride as you witness Riki's mesmerizing performance.
As Riki reaches the climax of his solo, the audience erupts into applause, their cheers filling the auditorium with thunderous applause. Your eyes shimmer with tears of joy as you rush forward to embrace Riki backstage, admiration for him overflowing.
"That was incredible, Riki! You were absolutely breathtaking up there."
There was someone in the crowd who thought the very same about Riki...Remember the talk where your friends were joking how nothing could tear you apart? Yeah, the 'nothing' was there at the auditorium.
It's a typical day on campus, with students bustling between classes and the air filled with the hum of activity. Riki is sitting in a lecture hall, scribbling notes furiously as the professor drones on about the intricacies of a science theory. Suddenly, there's a knock on the door, and the professor pauses, motioning for Riki to step outside.
Riki furrows his brow in confusion but follows the professor's lead, stepping out into the hallway where a man in a sharp suit awaits him. The man exudes an air of confidence and authority, and Riki's curiosity is piqued.
"Riki, I presume? My name is Hiro Endo. I was at your performance yesterday, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed." Extending a hand
Riki's eyes widen in surprise, his heart pounding with excitement. He shakes Hiro's hand eagerly, his mind racing with possibilities.
"Thank you, sir. That means a lot coming from you. But may I ask what brings you here?"
"I represent one of the most renowned entertainment companies abroad, and I believe you have the potential to be a star. Your talent is undeniable, and I would like to offer you and a fellow member of your dance team an incredible opportunity to work with us."
Riki's heart skips a beat at the mention of such a life-changing opportunity. He glances around, searching for his friend from the dance team, who steps forward with a mixture of excitement and disbelief.
"I… I don't know what to say."
"Take a look at these documents. Everything is legitimate, I assure you. This is a chance for you to pursue your passion on a global stage, with all expenses covered and a generous compensation package."
Riki's hands tremble slightly as he flips through the documents, his mind whirling with the magnitude of the opportunity before him. He looks up at Hiro, his eyes shining with determination.
"I'll do it. I'll take the chance."
Hiro's smile widens, sensing Riki's commitment to seize the opportunity before him. With a firm handshake and a promise of further details to come, they part ways, leaving Riki with a newfound sense of purpose and excitement for the future.
As Riki returns to his class, the weight of the decision he's just made settles in his chest.
As Riki navigates the rest of his day, the weight of Hiro's offer hangs heavily on his mind. With each passing moment, the pros and cons of accepting the opportunity to go abroad to South Korea swirl through his thoughts, leaving him torn between excitement and apprehension.
During his next class, Riki finds it difficult to concentrate, his mind wandering back to the conversation with Hiro and the tantalizing prospect of pursuing his passion on a global stage. He imagines the vibrant dance scene in South Korea, the opportunity to learn and grow as an artist, and the chance to make a name for himself on an international level. But alongside the excitement, a nagging sense of doubt gnaws at him.
As the afternoon stretches on, Riki decides to seek solace in the one person who knows him best: Yn. He sends her a text, asking if they can meet up later that evening to talk. With each passing hour, the anticipation builds, and Riki finds himself grappling with the decision of whether to tell Yn about the offer now or wait until it's officially in writing.
On one hand, he wants to share his excitement and fears with Yn, knowing that she'll offer him the support and guidance he needs. But on the other hand, he worries about burdening her with his uncertainties and fears, especially when the offer is still tentative.
As evening falls and Riki meets Yn at their favorite spot-on campus, he takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the conversation ahead. He knows that whatever decision he makes, Yn will be by his side every step of the way. And with her unwavering support, he feels ready to face whatever the future may hold.
"Yn, there's something I need to talk to you about."
You look at him, expression a mix of curiosity and concern. Senses the gravity of his words and braces self for what's to come.
"What is it, Riki? You seem… tense."
Riki meets your gaze, his eyes reflecting a mixture of excitement and uncertainty "A talent agent approached me. He offered me an incredible opportunity to work abroad with one of the most renowned entertainment companies in South Korea."
Your heart skips a beat at Riki's words, a mixture of pride and apprehension washing over you. You knew this day would come, but the reality of it hits harder than anticipated.
"Wow, Riki, that's… that's amazing! Congratulations!" forcing a smile.
Riki reaches for your hand, his touch gentle and reassuring "I know it's a lot to take in, but I truly believe we can make this work, Yn. We've always been so good at communication, and with technology these days, staying connected will be easier than ever. Plus, think of all the opportunities this could open up for both of us."
Your heart aches at Riki's optimism, knowing deep down that your relationship will face challenges you both can't simply overcome with good intentions and video calls. Again, forces a smile, masking your inner turmoil as you squeezes Riki's hand gently.
Softly "Riki, I appreciate your optimism, I really do. But… but we both know that long-distance relationships are incredibly hard. And with your career taking off like this, I… I don't want to hold you back."
Now it Riki's heart to sink at your words, the weight of uncertainty hitting him like a punch to the gut. He had hoped you would share in his excitement, but now he realizes the depth of the fears and doubts.
"Yn, I… I don't want to lose you. You mean everything to me, and I can't imagine my life without you by my side."
Your eyes glisten with unshed tears as you meet Riki's gaze, voice barely above a whisper.
"Riki, I love you. And I want nothing more than to see you succeed and chase your dreams. But… but I can't ignore the reality of the situation. Sometimes love isn't enough to bridge the distance."
Riki's heart shatters at Yn's words, the realization dawning on him that their love may not be enough to overcome the obstacles that lie ahead. With a heavy heart, he pulls Yn into a tight embrace, holding her close as they silently grapple with the uncertain future that lies ahead.
"Yn, please… just hear me out. I know this won't be easy, but I truly believe we have what it takes to make it work."
Your gaze flickers with a mixture of longing and uncertainty, heart torn between the love you feel for Riki and the fear of the unknown that lies ahead.
"Riki, I want to believe that too, I really do. But… but how can we be sure? What if the distance becomes too much to bear?"
"Because I know, deep in my heart, that our love is stronger than any distance. We've overcome obstacles before, Yn, and this will be no different. We'll make it work, together."
"Yn, I promise you, with every fiber of my being, that I will do whatever it takes to make this work. I won't let our love slip away, not now, not ever. Please, just give us a chance."
With a trembling breath, you nods slowly, a flicker of hope igniting within you. "Okay, Riki. Okay, let's give it a try."
-
You wake up to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, the warmth of Riki's embrace wrapping around you like a cocoon. With a contented sigh, you nuzzle closer to him, cherishing the fleeting moments of peace before the day's responsibilities pull you apart.
-
Hand in hand, you stroll through the vibrant bustle of the campus, the chatter of students and the rustle of leaves creating a symphony of life around you. With every step, you steal glances at Riki, committing the curve of his smile and the sparkle in his eyes to memory, knowing that soon they'll be but distant echoes in your mind.
-
Underneath the shade of a towering oak tree, you and Riki share a picnic lunch, the taste of homemade sandwiches and sweet strawberries a bittersweet reminder of the moments you'll soon leave behind. You laugh and reminisce, savoring the precious hours you have left together before the inevitable goodbye.
-
As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, you and Riki steal away to your favorite spot on campus, a secluded bench overlooking the city skyline. In the quiet stillness of the evening, you wrap yourselves in each other's arms, the weight of the impending farewell heavy on your hearts.
With a heavy sigh, you press your forehead against Riki's, the warmth of his breath mingling with yours in a silent exchange of love and longing. In the depths of his gaze, you find solace and strength, drawing courage from the unspoken promise that your love will endure, no matter the distance.
-
In these fleeting moments, Yn finds solace and strength in the love she shares with Riki, cherishing every precious second before they must part ways.

The airport terminal buzzes with the energy of travelers coming and going, but for you and Riki, the world narrows to a single, heart-wrenching moment. Hand in hand, you stand amidst the throng of people, your fingers intertwined as you cling to each other desperately, unwilling to let go.
Tears prick at the corners of your eyes as you gaze up at Riki, your heart aching with the weight of your impending separation. His face mirrors your own emotions, etched with sadness and longing.
"I don't want to leave you, Yn. I can't bear the thought of being apart from you."
You choke back a sob, your throat tight with emotion. "I know, Riki. I feel the same way. But… but we have to be strong. We'll find a way to make this work, I promise."
Your words hang in the air like a fragile thread, tethering you together in the face of uncertainty. But as the minutes tick by, the reality of your impending goodbye looms ever closer, casting a shadow over your fragile hope.
It's only when your friend Kai approaches, his expression solemn yet compassionate, that you realize the time has come to part ways. With a heavy heart, you turn to Riki, your eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"Guys, it's time. The boarding call has been announced."
Riki's grip tightens on your hand, his heart breaking at the finality of Kai's words. With a trembling breath, he presses a tender kiss to your forehead, his touch a silent vow of love and devotion.
"I'll never forget you, Yn. I'll carry you with me wherever I go."
Your voice catches in your throat as you return Riki's kiss, your heart overflowing with love and longing.
"I love you, Riki. Always and forever."
With one last lingering embrace, you reluctantly release each other, your hearts heavy with the weight of your farewell. With tears streaming down your cheeks, you watch as Riki disappears into the crowd, leaving behind a void that echoes with the echo of your love.
As you watch Riki's retreating figure, you cling to the hope that one day, your paths will cross again, and you'll find your way back to each other, stronger and more resilient than ever before.
The car ride home from the airport is silent, the weight of Riki's absence hanging heavy in the air. You stare blankly out the window, your mind a whirlwind of emotions as tears trace silent paths down your cheeks.
As the car pulls up to your doorstep, your phone pings with a notification. With trembling hands, you unlock the screen to find a message from Riki, accompanied by a selfie that pierces your heart like a dagger. In the photo, Riki's red eyes and tear-streaked face speak volumes, a stark reminder of the pain you both feel in your separation.
Your fingers tremble as you open the message, your heart breaking with each word.
Riki's Text: "Goodbye, Yn. I'll call as soon as I land. I love you, always."
"Yn, we're here for you. Lean on us, okay?" You look up to find Bahiyyih's compassionate gaze, her eyes brimming with empathy. Around her, Jay and Kai stand in solidarity, their silent presence a comforting anchor amidst the storm of emotions.
With a shaky breath, you nod, allowing yourself to be enveloped in the warmth of your friends' embrace.

As the third year of college unfolds, you find yourself immersed in a whirlwind of classes, assignments, and extracurricular activities, each day passing in a blur of busyness and routine. But amidst the chaos of student life, there's a quiet sense of contentment that settles over you, a reassuring reminder that even in Riki's absence, your love endures.
In the four months since Riki left, you've thrown yourself into your studies with renewed focus and determination, channeling your energy into academic pursuits and personal growth. The days blur together in a blur of lectures and late-night study sessions, but through it all, Riki's presence lingers like a guiding light, his love a steady anchor amidst the tumult of college life.
Despite the distance between you, your bond with Riki remains as strong as ever, nurtured by late-night phone calls, heartfelt messages, and the occasional video chat. Each interaction is a precious lifeline, a reminder of the deep connection you share and the promise of a future reunited.
As the weeks turn into months, you take solace in the knowledge that despite the miles that separate you, your love knows no bounds. And though the road ahead may be long and uncertain, you face it with courage and conviction, secure in the knowledge that no matter what challenges lie ahead, you and Riki will weather them together, stronger than ever before.
The soft glow of your phone illuminates the darkness of your room as you settle in for another late-night study session. With a tired sigh, you pull up your phone, a smile tugging at your lips as you wait for Riki's familiar face to appear on the screen.
After a moment, his face pops up, his eyes lighting up with a grin as he sees you. "Hey, love," he says, his voice warm and filled with affection.
"Hey, Riki," you reply, your heart fluttering at the sight of him. "How's your day been?"
Riki leans back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. "Busy, as usual. But seeing your face makes it all worth it."
You feel a blush creep onto your cheeks at his words, a warm rush of affection washing over you. "You're such a sweetheart," you say, unable to contain your smile.
For the next hour, you and Riki lose yourselves in conversation, sharing stories about your day and trading jokes and laughter. Despite the miles that separate you, the connection between you feels as strong as ever, each moment spent together a cherished reminder of the love you share.
As the clock ticks past midnight, you reluctantly bid Riki goodbye, knowing that another day of classes awaits you both in the morning.
In the bustling cafeteria, you and your friends gather around a table, the lively chatter of students filling the air with warmth and energy. As you dig into your lunches, a familiar face approaches you, a hopeful smile playing on his lips.
"Hey, Yn," he says, his voice tinged with nervousness. "I was wondering if you'd like to grab coffee sometime? Maybe go see a movie?"
Your heart skips a beat at the unexpected invitation, but you offer him a gentle smile. "Thank you, but I have a boyfriend. I appreciate the offer though."
With a disappointed nod, the guy retreats, leaving you to return your attention to your friends. But as you resume your conversation, a question lingers in the back of your mind, like a faint whisper of doubt.
It's Bahiyyih who voices the unspoken concern, her brow furrowed with curiosity. "Hey, Yn, what if someone else likes Riki? What if people start asking him out?"
Your heart clenches at the thought, a surge of protectiveness welling up within you. You take a moment to collect your thoughts before responding, your voice firm yet tinged with uncertainty.
"I trust Riki," you say, your words a quiet affirmation of your faith in your relationship. "And I trust in the love we share. If someone else likes him, well… it's flattering, but it doesn't change how I feel about him."
Later that evening, as you and Riki settle in for your nightly video call, you can't help but share a lighthearted moment with him. With a playful smile, you recount the encounter at the cafeteria.
Riki's laughter fills the screen, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
You chuckle at his teasing remark, feeling a warm flutter in your chest at his words. "Well, he definitely got the wrong idea. But it was kind of funny."
As the conversation winds down, you both find yourselves drifting off to sleep, the comforting presence of each other's voice lulling you into peaceful dreams. With your phones still on video call, you share a silent moment of intimacy, the soft glow of the screen casting a warm halo around your faces.
The next following months were just like that, Riki and you still communicated. Things were different, that's for sure.
Now, you were in your 2 months of the second semester of third year. Riki was now preparing for new upcoming performances, both of ypu had realized that in this time of year, you both are busy and have less time for one another.
As the clock ticks past midnight, you find yourself nestled in the familiar comfort of your dorm room, the soft glow of your phone casting shadows across the walls. With each passing minute, anticipation builds in your chest as you wait for Riki's late-night video call, a nightly ritual that brings you both closer despite the distance between you.
But as the hours stretch on, the silence of the room grows deafening, broken only by the soft hum of the ceiling fan and the distant sounds of laughter from down the hall. With each passing minute, a gnawing sense of unease creeps into your mind, overshadowing the excitement that had filled you earlier.
You check your phone for what feels like the hundredth time, hoping for a message or a missed call from Riki, but the screen remains stubbornly blank, devoid of any notifications. A frown creases your brow as you glance at the time once more, realizing with a sinking feeling that Riki's late-night call isn't coming tonight.
As the minutes turn into hours, you wrestle with a whirlwind of emotions, from disappointment and frustration to worry and concern. Thoughts race through your mind, each one more unsettling than the last. What if something happened to Riki? What if he forgot about your call? What if…?
With a heavy sigh, you push aside the barrage of doubts and fears, choosing instead to focus on the love and trust you share with Riki. You remind yourself that he's likely caught up in rehearsals or meetings, his busy schedule leaving little time for anything else.
But even as you try to rationalize his absence, a small part of you can't shake the feeling of loneliness that settles over you like a heavy blanket. You long for the familiar sound of his voice, the warmth of his laughter, the comfort of his presence.
With a resigned sigh, you resign yourself to another night spent apart, the glow of the phone screen casting a soft halo around you as you drift off to sleep, holding onto the hope that tomorrow will bring the reassurance and connection you crave.
As Riki steps into his apartment, exhaustion weighs heavily on his shoulders, a testament to the long hours spent at dance practice followed by a whirlwind of classes and meetings throughout the day. With a weary sigh, he kicks off his shoes and drops his bag by the door, his thoughts drifting to you, thousands of miles away in Japan.
Glancing at the clock, Riki's heart sinks as he realizes how late it's gotten. It's already well past midnight, and the thought of interrupting your sleep with a late-night video call fills him with guilt.
With a conflicted sigh, Riki debates whether to reach out to you anyway, knowing how much he craves the connection and comfort of your voice. But as he weighs the pros and cons, a sense of responsibility tugs at his conscience, reminding him of the importance of rest and self-care, both for himself and for you.
Reluctantly, Riki sets his phone aside, knowing that the late hour is no time to disturb your sleep. Instead, he resolves to send you a text in the morning, a simple gesture to let you know that he's thinking of you, even when they're apart.
As he settles into bed, the soft glow of his phone casting shadows across the room, he drifts off to sleep, wrapped in the warmth of your memory.
For Riki, the demands of his dance career and rigorous training schedule weigh heavily on his mind, leaving him little time or energy to devote to anything else. Each day is a relentless cycle of rehearsals, performances, and late-night practice sessions, leaving him drained and exhausted by the time he collapses into bed.
As the weeks slip by in a blur of obligations and responsibilities, you find yourself struggling to keep up with the demands of college life while navigating the increasingly distant landscape of your relationship with Riki. Despite your best efforts to stay connected, communication between you has become sparse and erratic, leaving you feeling adrift in a sea of uncertainty and longing.
Each day is a delicate balancing act, a relentless juggling of classes, assignments, and extracurricular activities, all while trying to carve out precious moments to connect with Riki. But no matter how hard you try, the distance between you seems to grow wider with each passing day, leaving you feeling increasingly isolated and alone.
The once constant stream of texts and calls has dwindled to a trickle, leaving you yearning for the warmth of Riki's voice and the comfort of his presence. Each unanswered message feels like a tiny dagger to the heart, a painful reminder of the growing chasm between you.
In the quiet moments of solitude, you find yourself haunted by doubts and insecurities, wondering if Riki still cares as deeply for you as he once did. The silence weighs heavily on your mind, casting a shadow over the once bright and hopeful future you imagined together.
But despite the uncertainty that clouds your thoughts, a part of you still clings to hope, holding onto the belief that love has a way of overcoming even the greatest obstacles. You remind yourself that distance is just a temporary hurdle, and that as long as you and Riki remain committed to each other, you'll find a way to weather the storm together.
And so, as the weeks turn into months, you hold onto the promise of better days ahead, trusting in the strength of your love to guide you through the darkness and into the light. For even in the midst of uncertainty, you know that with Riki by your side, anything is possible.
As you take a much-needed study break, you absentmindedly scroll through your social media feed, hoping for a momentary distraction from the weight of your thoughts. But as you idly flick through the photos and updates, your heart lurches painfully in your chest at the sight of a familiar face.
There, amidst the sea of posts and selfies, is a picture of Riki, his arm casually draped around the shoulder of a girl you don't recognize. The image is a stark reminder of the distance between you, a painful testament to the reality of your fading connection.
Your breath catches in your throat as you stare at the photo, your mind struggling to process the flood of emotions crashing over you like a tidal wave. Jealousy, hurt, and betrayal swirl together in a tumultuous whirlwind, threatening to overwhelm your fragile heart.
With trembling fingers, you tap on the photo, your heart pounding in your chest as you read the caption beneath it. "Fun day out with my favorite person ❤️ #love #happyducky"
The words hit you like a punch to the gut, each one a painful reminder of the intimacy and closeness shared between Riki and the girl in the photo. A sense of betrayal gnaws at your insides, leaving you feeling raw and exposed, as if your world has been turned upside down in an instant.
Tears blur your vision as you stare at the screen, your mind racing with a million questions and doubts. In that moment, as you sit alone in your room, surrounded by the suffocating silence of your own thoughts, the pain of heartbreak washes over you like a tidal wave, threatening to drag you under.
With a heavy heart and trembling fingers, you reach for your phone, the weight of the day's revelation pressing down on your shoulders. Despite the ache in your chest, you muster the courage to send a text to Riki, your fingers hesitating over the keys as you struggle to find the right words.
"Riki, we need to talk. Please call me when you get this."
With a shaky breath, you hit send, the message disappearing into the digital abyss as you wait anxiously for a response that never comes. The minutes stretch into hours, but your phone remains stubbornly silent, devoid of any sign of life from Riki.
As you climb into bed, the weight of uncertainty settles over you like a heavy blanket, casting a shadow over the once familiar comfort of your room. Despite your exhaustion, sleep eludes you, your mind consumed with thoughts of Riki and the painful realization of his betrayal.
With a heavy sigh, you curl up beneath the covers, your heart heavy with the weight of unanswered questions and unspoken truths. In the silence of the night, you find yourself grappling with a maelstrom of emotions, each one more overwhelming than the last.
As you drift off into fitful sleep, your dreams haunted by echoes of Riki's laughter and the warmth of his embrace, you can't help but wonder what tomorrow will bring. But for now, all you can do is wait, the uncertainty of the future looming large in the darkness, a silent reminder of the fragile nature of love and trust.
With a groggy groan, you roll over in bed, your hand fumbling for your phone on the nightstand. The sound of its insistent ringing fills the room, pulling you reluctantly from the depths of sleep.
Groggily, you glance at the caller ID, your heart skipping a beat as you see Riki's name flashing on the screen. Without bothering with a proper greeting, you answer the phone with a sassy tone, your words laced with a hint of annoyance.
"What, did you finally remember you have a phone?"
There's a moment of silence on the other end of the line, and you can almost hear the surprise in Riki's voice as he responds, his words tinged with uncertainty.
"Uh, good morning to you too, Yn. Is everything okay?"
Despite your frustration, a pang of guilt tugs at your conscience at the concern in Riki's voice. With a sigh, you relent, your tone softening slightly as you reply.
"Yeah, sorry. I just… didn't expect to hear from you, that's all."
There's a pause as Riki absorbs your words, his voice gentle as he speaks.
"I know things have been rough lately, but I want to talk about it. Can we meet up?"
As confusion swirls in your mind, you can't help but furrow your brow in disbelief. "What do you mean, meet up? You're in South Korea."
There's a brief pause on the other end of the line before Riki's voice comes through, filled with an unexpected urgency. "Just… open your front door, Yn."
Your heart races with anticipation as you rush to the door, your hands trembling with excitement. With a flick of the lock, you swing it open, your eyes widening in shock at the sight before you.
There, standing on your doorstep, is Riki, a sheepish grin spreading across his face as he holds up his phone in a gesture of greeting. "Surprise," he says, his voice tinged with excitement and relief.
Your jaw drops in astonishment, your mind struggling to process the surreal sight before you. "Riki, what are you doing here? How did you…?"
But before you can finish your sentence, Riki steps forward, enveloping you in a warm embrace that sends shivers down your spine. "I couldn't stay away any longer," he whispers, his breath warm against your ear. "I needed to see you."
Tears prick at your eyes as you return the embrace, your heart overflowing with a dizzying mix of joy, relief, and disbelief. In that moment, as you stand together on your doorstep, the distance and misunderstandings of the past few weeks melt away, replaced by the overwhelming certainty of your love for each other.
As Riki takes in the redness of your eyes, concern etches his features, but before he can voice his worry, you step back, breaking free from his embrace. His eyebrows furrow in confusion as he looks at you, searching your face for answers.
"What's wrong, Yn?" he asks, his voice filled with genuine concern.
You meet his gaze with a sassy smirk, your tone laced with sarcasm. "Oh, nothing. Just stumbled upon a cute little picture of you and your 'favorite person' on Instagram last night."
Riki's expression shifts from confusion to realization, his eyes widening in understanding. "Yn, it's not what you think—"
As you step back into the apartment, the weight of the moment hangs heavy in the air, a palpable tension swirling between you and Riki. But before you can retreat any further, Riki moves closer, his arms encircling you in a gentle back hug. His touch sends a shiver down your spine, the warmth of his embrace a stark contrast to the coldness of your heart.
"Yn, please," he pleads, his voice soft and pleading. "Let me explain."
You stiffen in his arms, your resolve wavering as his words wash over you. Part of you longs to hear his side of the story, to believe that there's a rational explanation for what you saw. But another part of you, wounded and betrayed, hesitates to let your guard down, afraid of the pain that lies on the other side of forgiveness.
With a sigh, you turn to face him, your eyes meeting his in a silent plea for honesty. "Fine," you say, your voice barely above a whisper. "But make it quick."
Riki nods, his expression earnest as he takes a deep breath, steeling himself for what comes next. And as he begins to speak, his words wash over you like a soothing balm, each one a testament to the depth of his love and the sincerity of his regret.

In a burst of spontaneity, Riki challenges you to a pillow fight, the room erupting in laughter as pillows fly and giggles fill the air. You duck and dodge his playful swipes, retaliating with your own, your hearts racing with the thrill of the moment. Amidst the chaos and laughter, you share a connection that transcends words, a bond forged in the simple joys of being together.
These moments, filled with laughter, love, and shared experiences, serve as a poignant reminder of the deep connection and affection that binds you and Riki together.
But amidst the joyous reunions and heartwarming moments, you can't help but notice the subtle shifts in Riki's behavior, the fleeting glances at his phone and the whispered conversations that leave you feeling uneasy.
In the midst of a family dinner, you catch Riki sneaking glances at his phone, his brows furrowing in concentration as he types out a quick response to a message. At first, you brush it off as nothing more than the usual distractions of modern life, but as the week wears on, the frequency of his interruptions becomes harder to ignore.
During a quiet moment alone together, you voice your concerns to Riki, your words tinged with a hint of worry. "Is everything okay, Riki? You seem… distracted."
Riki's smile falters for a moment before he offers you a reassuring squeeze of the hand. "It's nothing, Yn. Just some work stuff I need to take care of."
Despite his words, a nagging sense of doubt lingers in the back of your mind, a silent reminder of the uncertainties that have plagued your relationship in recent weeks. But you push aside your doubts, choosing instead to trust in Riki's love and sincerity.
As the week draws to a close, you find yourself unable to shake the feeling of unease that gnaws at your insides. And then, one fateful afternoon, as you innocently reach for Riki's phone to check the time, you stumble upon a series of messages that shatter your world into a million jagged pieces.
With trembling hands and tears in your eyes, you scroll through the messages, each one a damning testament to the betrayal that has unfolded right under your nose. And in that heart-wrenching moment of truth, the painful realization dawns upon you: Riki's distractions weren't innocent after all. He was hiding something from you, something that would irreparably change the course of your relationship forever.
As you hold Riki's phone in your trembling hands, the weight of the truth settling heavily upon your shoulders, you're startled by the sound of the bathroom door opening. With a shaky breath, you quickly set the phone down on the bedside table, your heart pounding in your chest as you scramble to compose yourself.
As Riki emerges from the bathroom, his expression bright and carefree, you force a sleepy smile, pretending as though you've just woken up. "Hey, sleepyhead," he greets you with a warm smile, oblivious to the storm raging within you.
You return his smile with a forced one of your own, your mind racing with a million thoughts and emotions. Despite the urge to confront him, to demand answers to the questions burning in your mind, you hold back, choosing instead to bury your pain beneath a facade of indifference.
As Riki settles onto the bed beside you, his warmth seeping into your bones, you fight the urge to reach out to him, to seek comfort in his embrace. But as you steal a glance at his unsuspecting face, the memory of his betrayal looms large in your mind, a silent reminder of the shattered trust between you.
In that moment, as you lie there beside him, a silent tension fills the air, a palpable barrier that separates you from the man you once loved. And as you struggle to make sense of the turmoil within you, one thing becomes painfully clear: now is not the time for comfort or reconciliation. For now, all you can do is bide your time, waiting for the right moment to confront him and demand the truth.
As the days pass by, you find yourself grappling with the painful truth that hangs heavy in the air between you and Riki. Despite his attempts to maintain a facade of normalcy, his behavior remains unchanged, his frequent disappearances to answer calls or texts a constant source of unease.
Each time he slips away, you can't help but feel a pang of betrayal as you watch him, his smile once meant for you now a cruel reminder of the deception that lurks beneath the surface. And as he returns to the table, his kiss on your cheek feels hollow, a bitter reminder of the love that was lost amidst the web of lies and deceit.
In that moment, as you sit beside him, a silent tension fills the space between you, a chasm of unspoken words and unresolved emotions. And as you steal a glance at his unsuspecting face, a surge of anger and resentment wells up inside you, threatening to consume you whole.
But instead of giving in to the urge to confront him, you bite back the words that burn on the tip of your tongue, choosing instead to keep silent, to bide your time until the moment is right. For now, all you can do is play the part of the oblivious lover, keeping your true feelings hidden beneath a mask of indifference, all the while knowing that the truth will eventually come to light.
I played dumb, but I always knew That you talked to her, maybe did even worse I kept quiet so I could keep you
As the night stretches on, you lie awake in bed, your thoughts swirling in a tumultuous storm of emotions. Beside you, Riki shifts restlessly, his concern evident in the furrow of his brow.
"Yn, what's wrong?" he murmurs, his voice thick with worry.
But you remain silent, your mind consumed by the weight of your own thoughts. You know you should speak up, confront Riki about the truth you've discovered, but the words catch in your throat, suffocated by the fear of what might come next.
Sensing your hesitation, Riki reaches out to gently caress your cheek, his touch a soothing balm against the turmoil within you. "Please, Yn," he pleads, his voice barely above a whisper. "Talk to me. I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong."
But still, you remain silent, your heart heavy with the burden of your secrets. With a sigh, Riki pulls you close, wrapping you in his arms with a tenderness that threatens to undo your resolve.
"Fine," you finally whisper, your voice barely audible in the darkness. "Just… hold me tight until morning, okay?" And with that simple request, Riki pulls you even closer.
In the depths of the night, as sleep claims you in its gentle embrace, you find yourself drifting into a dream so vivid and beautiful that it feels almost like reality. In this dream, you and Riki are together, happy and content, living out a future filled with love and laughter.
You can see it all so clearly: the two of you walking hand in hand down a sunlit aisle, surrounded by friends and family as you exchange vows of everlasting devotion. You can feel the warmth of Riki's touch, the softness of his voice as he whispers words of love and affection into your ear.
Together, you embark on a journey of endless adventures and shared experiences, building a life filled with joy and happiness. You can see yourselves growing old together, still holding hands and stealing kisses even after decades have passed.
But then, in the quiet darkness of the night, reality comes crashing back with a cruel inevitability. As you stir from your dream-induced reverie, your eyes flutter open to the sight of Riki sleeping peacefully beside you, his features softened by the gentle glow of the moonlight.
In that moment, as you gaze upon his sleeping form, a pang of sadness grips your heart, the harsh truth of your situation looming large in the darkness. You know deep down that the future you envisioned in your dream will never come to pass, that the love you once shared with Riki has been tainted by betrayal and mistrust.
With a heavy sigh, you turn away from him, burying your face in the pillow as tears prick at the corners of your eyes. In the stillness of the night, you grapple with the painful realization that the dream you so desperately clung to will forever remain nothing more than a fleeting fantasy, a bittersweet reminder of what could have been.
In the soft light of dawn, you find yourselves once again at the airport, the familiar scent of departure lingering in the air as you stand on the precipice of another goodbye. But this time, there's a subtle shift in the atmosphere, a quiet sense of resignation mingled with a newfound sense of resolve.
As you watch Riki prepare to board his flight, a bittersweet smile graces your lips, a fleeting reflection of the conflicting emotions swirling within you. You know that saying goodbye to him will be painful, but deep down, you also know that it's the right thing to do.
As you stand at the airport, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy between you and Riki, you can't help but feel a sense of urgency bubbling up inside you. With a glance towards him, you catch his gaze, a flicker of confusion crossing his features as he meets your eyes.
"I know, Riki," you say softly, your voice barely above a whisper, but laced with a quiet determination.
Riki's brow furrows in confusion, his lips parting as if to speak, but no words come out. He searches your face for answers, but you simply offer him a small, enigmatic smile, leaving him to grapple with the puzzle of your words.
As Riki boards the plane and takes his seat, the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place in his mind. With a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, he realizes the truth behind your cryptic message, the weight of his actions crashing down on him like a ton of bricks.
As the plane taxis down the runway, Riki's mind races with regret and remorse, his heart heavy with the knowledge of what he's lost. In that moment of clarity, he knows that he may have let go of the greatest love he'll ever know, all for the sake of fleeting moments of temptation and desire.
And as the plane takes off, carrying him away from you and towards an uncertain future, Riki is left to grapple with the consequences of his choices, knowing that the pain of your goodbye will haunt him long after the plane touches down in a distant land.
As you sits in your car, watching through tear-blurred eyes as the plane carrying Riki disappears into the vast expanse of the sky, a wave of emotions crashes over you like a tidal wave. Tears stream down her cheeks unchecked, mingling with the silent sobs that wrack her body.
Memories of their time together flash before your eyes, each one a bittersweet reminder of the love you once shared and the dreams you two had dared to dream together. But now, all that remains is an empty void, a gaping hole where once there was warmth and affection.

Your phone buzzes insistently, pulling your attention away from the conversation with Jay and Kai. You hesitate, your thumb hovering over the answer button, torn between the desire to hear Riki's voice and the fear of worsening fresh wounds.
Jay notices your hesitation and raises an eyebrow. "Who's calling?" he asks, curiosity piqued.
You shrug nonchalantly, a forced smile playing at your lips. "Just someone from school," you lie, the words tasting bitter on your tongue.
Jay frowns, sensing your reluctance to answer. "You gonna pick up or what?" he prods, his tone tinged with impatience.
Your heart pounds in your chest as you weigh your options. You know that talking to Riki will only make things worse, but a part of you still longs to hear his voice, to find some semblance of closure in your fractured relationship.
In the end, you shake your head and decline the call, your hand trembling slightly as you set your phone back down on the table. "Sorry, just not in the mood to talk right now," you mumble, offering your friends a weak smile.
Jay nods understandingly, but you can see the concern etched in his expression. You know that your friends mean well, but there are some things you're not ready to share, some wounds too deep to be healed by mere words.
As the conversation shifts back to lighter topics, you can't help but feel a pang of regret at your decision to ignore Riki's call. But deep down, you know that it's for the best, that some bridges are better left unburned, even if it means sacrificing the chance for closure.

As Riki steps off the plane in South Korea, his heart heavy with the weight of his actions, he is greeted by a familiar face waiting for him by the gate. But instead of the usual excitement and anticipation he feels at seeing her, there's a knot of guilt and remorse churning in the pit of his stomach.
For the first time, he looks at her and sees not just the thrill of their secret trysts, but the pain and betrayal that his actions have caused another. He sees the hurt reflected in her eyes, a silent reminder of the consequences of his actions, and he can't help but feel a pang of regret deep within him.
As she approaches him with a smile, her arms outstretched in greeting, Riki can't bring himself to return the gesture. Instead, he hangs his head in shame, unable to meet her gaze as the weight of his guilt threatens to crush him.
In that moment, looking at her standing there before him, Riki realizes the magnitude of his mistakes. He knows that he can never undo the pain he's caused you, but he also knows that he can't continue down this path of deception and betrayal any longer.

As the months flew by, the weight of Riki's absence lingered heavy on your heart, a constant reminder of the love you had lost and the wounds that still remained unhealed. Graduation loomed on the horizon, a bittersweet milestone marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
Despite your best efforts to move on, Riki remained a lingering presence in your thoughts, his memory haunting you at every turn. It was a struggle to push him out of your mind, to silence the ache in your heart that longed for his touch and his presence.
But as graduation day drew nearer, you knew that it was time to confront the truth, to lay bare the painful reality of your relationship with Riki. With a heavy heart, you confided in your friends, finally revealing the truth that you had kept hidden for so long.
Their reactions ranged from shock to anger to profound sadness, but through it all, they stood by your side, offering their unwavering support and understanding. With their help, you found the strength to stop seeking updates on Riki, to let go of the need to know what he was doing or where he was going.
-
As you browse through racks of dresses with Bahiyyih by your side, laughter and chatter filling the air, your heart skips a beat when you suddenly catch sight of a familiar figure standing just a few feet away. Your breath catches in your throat as you lock eyes with Riki, his expression a mix of shock and desperation.
Time seems to stand still as the reality of the moment sinks in, the air heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions. For a brief moment, you're transported back to a time when his presence brought nothing but joy and happiness, but now, all you feel is a dull ache in the pit of your stomach.
Bahiyyih's eyes widen in disbelief as she takes in the scene before her, her hand reaching out to grasp yours in a silent gesture of support. She can see the pain etched on your face, the raw vulnerability that lies beneath the surface, and she knows that this unexpected encounter has dredged up a flood of emotions that you had long tried to bury.
Riki opens his mouth as if to speak, but no words come out. Instead, he simply stands there, his eyes pleading for forgiveness, his heart laid bare for all to see. But you know that forgiveness won't come easily, not after everything that has happened between you.
With a heavy heart, you turn away from him, the weight of his gaze burning into your back as you walk away. As Riki takes a step forward, his instinct urging him to chase after you, Bahiyyih steps in his path, her expression a mix of determination and concern. She places a gentle hand on his arm, her touch a silent plea for him to stop and reconsider.
"Riki, wait," she says softly, her voice tinged with urgency. "I know you want to talk to her, but now is not the time. She needs space, time to process everything. This..you, being back all of the sudden"
Riki's brow furrows in frustration, his heart torn between the desire to make things right and the fear of making things worse. He knows that Bahiyyih is right, that barging after you now would only add fuel to the fire, but it's hard to ignore the ache in his chest, the desperate longing to reach out and hold you in his arms.
Reluctantly, he nods, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as he watches you disappear from view. He knows that this won't be the last time he sees you, that there will be other opportunities to make amends, but for now, he'll have to trust that time and distance will heal the wounds that lie between you.
As you sit in your room with Bahiyyih by your side, a heavy silence hangs in the air, broken only by the soft sounds of your breathing. You're not crying, but your mind is elsewhere, lost in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions and shattered illusions.
Thoughts race through your mind like a raging river, each one a painful reminder of the walls you had built up around your heart in an attempt to move on from Riki. You had worked so hard to rebuild your life, to find happiness and fulfillment in the absence of his love, but seeing him earlier today shattered those fragile walls like glass.
In that moment, all the progress you had made feels like nothing more than a cruel illusion, a fleeting mirage in the desert of your heartache. You realize now that no matter how hard you try to forget him, to bury the memories deep within the recesses of your mind, he will always have a hold on your heart, a piece of you that can never be replaced.
And as you stare off into the distance, lost in the labyrinth of your thoughts, you can't help but wonder if it will ever be possible to truly move on from him. Will the ache in your heart ever fade, or will it linger like a shadow, a constant reminder of the love you once shared and the dreams that were shattered in its wake?
-
Riki finds himself sitting in Heeseung and Jay's dorm room, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. He knows that he's made a mess of things with Yn, and now he's desperate for advice on how to fix it.
Heeseung, ever the empathetic one, offers words of comfort and reassurance. "Look, man, we all make mistakes," he says, his voice gentle and soothing. "The important thing is that you recognize what you've done wrong and try to make it right. Yn is a smart girl, she'll understand if you're honest with her."
But Jay, ever the realist, isn't so quick to let Riki off the hook. "Come on, Riki," he says, his tone sharp and biting. "How could you let her suffer for months while you did nothing? You can't just waltz back into her life and expect her to forgive you. You've got to show her that you're willing to do whatever it takes to make things right."
Riki winces at Jay's words, knowing that he's right. He's let Yn down in the worst possible way, and now he has to face the consequences of his actions. He knows that it won't be easy, that he'll have to work hard to earn back her trust and forgiveness, but he's determined to try.
With a heavy sigh, Riki nods, his jaw set with determination. "You're right," he says, his voice firm. "I messed up, big time. But I'm not going to let Yn down again. I'll do whatever it takes to make things right, even if it means facing some hard truths along the way."
Jay's sharp gaze fixes on Riki, his expression one of curiosity mixed with skepticism. "What about the other girl?" he asks, his tone cutting through the tension in the room.
Riki's heart sinks as he braces himself to explain the tangled web of deceit and betrayal that he's woven. Taking a deep breath, he begins to recount the events that led him to this point, his words stumbling over the painful truth of his actions.
"I thought I could have it all," he admits, his voice heavy with remorse. "I thought I could keep Yn in the dark while I pursued something with this other girl. But it was all a lie, a foolish fantasy that only ended up hurting everyone involved."
As he speaks, Riki can feel the weight of his mistakes pressing down on him, threatening to crush him beneath their burden. But he knows that he has to face the truth, no matter how painful it may be.
Heeseung listens with a sympathetic ear, his expression one of understanding and compassion. "It sounds like you were in over your head," he says, his voice gentle. "But that doesn't excuse what you did. You need to take responsibility for your actions and make things right with Yn."
Jay's expression remains stern, his eyes boring into Riki with an intensity that makes him squirm uncomfortably in his seat. "You've got a lot of work to do, Riki," he says, his tone sharp. "You can't just expect Yn to forgive you overnight. You need to earn back her trust, and that starts with being honest with her about everything."
Riki nods solemnly, knowing that he has a long road ahead of him. But with Heeseung and Jay's support, he feels a glimmer of hope flicker within him. He knows that he may never be able to fully make amends for his mistakes, but he's determined to try, if only to prove to himself and to you that he's capable of change.
As you step out of the apartment building, your heart skips a beat when you see Riki waiting for you, a hopeful look in his eyes. Your resolve wavers for a moment, the sight of him stirring up a whirlwind of conflicting emotions within you.
"I'll walk you to school," he says, his voice gentle and pleading. "I remember how you don't like walking alone."
But you shake your head, steeling yourself against the pull of his words. "I got used to walking alone when you left," you say, your voice firm. "I don't need you to walk me to school anymore."
With that, you turn on your heel and begin to walk away, determined to put as much distance between you and Riki as possible. But to your dismay, he falls into step beside you, his presence a constant reminder of the tangled mess of emotions that still linger between you.
"No matter how far you walk, I'll always follow," he says quietly, his words a whisper on the wind. "I'll do whatever it takes to make things right, Yn. Please, just give me a chance to prove myself to you."
You can feel the weight of his gaze burning into your back as you continue to walk, the ache in your heart growing with each step you take. You know that giving in to him would only reopen old wounds, but at the same time, you can't shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, there's still a chance for redemption and forgiveness.
As you walk to school, the weight of your emotions threatens to overwhelm you, and you find yourself unable to keep the floodgates closed any longer. With each step, the memories of the promises Riki made before he left come flooding back, taunting you with the bitter taste of broken dreams and shattered trust.
"Remember when you promised that we'd make it work, no matter what?" you begin, your voice tinged with bitterness and hurt. "You said that distance wouldn't be a problem, that we'd find a way to make it through together."
Riki's expression softens, a pained look crossing his features as he listens to your words. "I meant every word of it, Yn," he says, his voice filled with sincerity. "But I know that I messed up, that I let you down in the worst possible way. I'm not asking you to forgive me overnight, but I promise that I'll do whatever it takes to make things right."
But you shake your head, the walls around your heart still firmly in place. "Words are cheap, Riki," you say, your voice tinged with sadness. "You can't just expect me to believe you after everything that's happened. You had your chance to make things right, and you blew it."
Riki's shoulders slump in defeat, his gaze dropping to the ground as he struggles to find the right words to say. "I know that I don't deserve your forgiveness," he says quietly. "But I'm not ready to give up on us yet. Please, just give me one more chance to show you that I've changed."
You pause for a moment, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air between you. As you finally reach the school gates, the tension between you and Riki hangs heavy in the air, a palpable reminder of the chasm that lies between you. With a heavy sigh, you turn to him, steeling yourself for the answer to the question that has been haunting you since the moment you saw that picture on social media.
"What did she have that I don't?" you ask, your voice trembling with emotion. "Was she worth throwing away everything we had?"
Before Riki can respond, you shake your head, cutting him off before he can offer an explanation. "It doesn't matter," you say, your voice tinged with resignation. "I hope she was everything you ever wanted, everything you couldn't find in me."
With that, you turn on your heel and walk away, leaving Riki standing alone at the school gates, the weight of your words echoing in the empty space between you.
As you take your seat next to Jay in class, the sour look on your face doesn't go unnoticed by him. Concern etches his features as he turns to you, his eyes narrowing with worry.
"What's wrong, Yn?" he asks, his voice low and filled with concern.
You hesitate for a moment, unsure if you want to share your troubles with him. But the words spill out before you can stop them, and you find yourself recounting the encounter with Riki on your way to school.
"He walked me to school," you say, your voice tinged with bitterness. "Like everything's fine and we're still together."
Heeseung and Kai overhear your conversation and begin to tease you mercilessly, their laughter filling the air as they poke fun at your discomfort. But Bahiyyih quickly intervenes, shooting them a stern look that silences them instantly.
Jay leans in closer to you, his expression softening with understanding. "Maybe he's being genuine, Yn," he says, his voice gentle and reassuring. "You know how much he cares about you. And besides, he came over to our dorm last night to talk. He seemed really sincere."
You chew on your bottom lip, the weight of Jay's words sinking in as you contemplate the possibility that maybe, just maybe, there's still hope for you and Riki. But despite the flicker of optimism that blooms within you, you can't shake the lingering doubt and uncertainty that clouds your heart. Only time will tell if Riki is truly genuine in his intentions, and whether or not you're willing to take the risk of trusting him again.
-
As you return to your apartment, the events of the day swirling in your mind, you're surprised to find the familiar scent of your favorite flowers wafting through the air. Your heart skips a beat as you step inside, your eyes widening in disbelief at the sight before you.
The entire apartment is adorned with bouquets of your favorite flowers, their vibrant colors filling the room with a sense of warmth and comfort. And lying on the couch, nestled among the blooms, is a beautifully wrapped gift with a note attached.
Your hands tremble slightly as you pick up the note, your heart pounding in your chest as you read Riki's words. In the letter, he pours his heart out to you, apologizing for his past mistakes and expressing his sincere desire to make things right. He promises to do whatever it takes to earn back your trust and forgiveness, begging for another chance to prove himself to you.
My Dearest Yn,
As I sit down to write this letter, my heart is heavy with regret and longing. I know that I've hurt you in ways that words can't even begin to express, and for that, I am truly sorry. I never meant to cause you pain, and yet, my actions have led us down a path filled with heartache and uncertainty.
I want you to know that I've spent countless nights lying awake, haunted by the memories of our time together and the mistakes I've made. I've replayed our conversations in my mind a thousand times over, wishing I could turn back the clock and make things right. But no matter how hard I try, I know that I can never undo the hurt that I've caused you.
And yet, despite everything, my love for you remains unchanged. You are the light that guides me through the darkness, the warmth that fills my soul with hope. I can't imagine a life without you in it, and the thought of losing you terrifies me more than anything else in this world.
I know that I don't deserve your forgiveness, that I've broken your trust in the worst possible way. But I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right, to earn back the love and respect that I've lost. I promise to be honest with you, to communicate openly and honestly, and to never take your love for granted again.
Please, Yn, give me another chance to show you how much you mean to me. I know that words alone can't heal the wounds that I've inflicted upon your heart, but I hope that with time and patience, we can find a way to move forward together, stronger and more resilient than ever before.
With all my love,
Riki
Tears prickle at the corners of your eyes as you read his words, the weight of his sincerity washing over you like a tidal wave. Despite the pain and uncertainty that still lingers in your heart, a small part of you can't help but be touched by his gesture, by the lengths he's gone to show you how much you mean to him.
But as you look around the empty apartment, the absence of Riki's presence casting a shadow over the room, you can't shake the feeling of unease that settles in the pit of your stomach. Will he keep his promises this time, or is this just another empty gesture meant to placate you?
With a heavy sigh, you set the letter aside and reach for the gift, the weight of it heavy in your hands. Whatever happens next, you know that the road ahead will be long and difficult.
As you carefully unwrap the gift from Riki, your heart flutters with anticipation, unsure of what lies within. With trembling hands, you peel back the layers of paper, revealing a beautifully crafted wooden box nestled inside.
Your breath catches in your throat as you lift the lid, revealing the contents within. Inside the box lies a treasure trove of memories, each one carefully preserved and presented with love and care.
There are photographs, snapshots of moments frozen in time, capturing the laughter and joy that once filled your days together. Each image is accompanied by a handwritten note from Riki, sharing his thoughts and feelings from those cherished moments.
But it's not just photographs that fill the box. There are letters too, pages upon pages of heartfelt words and declarations of love, each one a testament to the depth of Riki's feelings for you. As you read through them, tears prickle at the corners of your eyes, your heart swelling with emotion at the thoughtfulness and effort that went into creating such a meaningful gift.
And then, at the bottom of the box, nestled among the memories, lies a single red rose, its petals still fresh and vibrant despite the passage of time. It's a simple gesture, but one filled with meaning and symbolism, a reminder of the love that still blooms between you despite the trials and tribulations that you've faced.
As you sit with the gift from Riki in your hands, a nagging doubt creeps into the back of your mind, casting a shadow over the warmth and comfort that you felt moments before. Was this all just a ploy to win you back, a carefully orchestrated act of love bombing designed to manipulate your emotions and keep you under his spell?
The thought sends a chill down your spine, filling you with a sense of unease that you can't shake. You know that Riki is capable of great kindness and generosity, but after everything that has happened between you, it's hard to trust his intentions completely.
With a heavy sigh, you set the gift aside, the weight of uncertainty settling over you like a dark cloud. Only time will tell if Riki's gestures are sincere or if they're just another ploy to keep you under his control.
-
On a sunny Saturday morning, Riki wakes up early to prepare for the surprise picnic he's planned for you. He carefully selects all your favorite foods and snacks, making sure to pack them neatly into a wicker basket. With a satisfied smile, he adds a bottle of sparkling cider and a bouquet of your favorite flowers to the mix before heading out to the park. - After weeks of soul-searching and reflection, Riki sits down at his desk with pen and paper in hand. He takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the task ahead, and begins to write. With each word, Riki pours his heart out onto the page, expressing his deepest regrets and sincerest apologies for the pain he's caused you. He bares his soul, laying bare his thoughts and feelings in the hopes of winning back your trust. Hours pass as Riki fills page after page with his handwritten words, his emotions flowing freely onto the paper. When he finally finishes, he reads over the letter one last time, making sure every word is just right. The next day, Riki delivers the letter to you personally, his heart pounding in his chest as he watches you read it. - One evening, as you're scrolling through your social media feed, you come across a post about a movie you've been dying to see. You mention it in passing to Riki, not expecting anything to come of it. But to your surprise, Riki jumps into action, surprising you with tickets to the movie for that very evening. He clears his schedule for the night, ensuring that you have his undivided attention as you enjoy a night out together. As you settle into your seats at the theater, Riki reaches for your hand, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. Throughout the movie, he steals glances at you, his eyes shining with affection. - One evening, as you arrive home from a long day at work, you're greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of your favorite meal wafting through the air. Curious, you follow the scent to the kitchen, where you find Riki hard at work, surrounded by pots and pans. He looks up with a smile as you enter, gesturing to the spread of food laid out before him. "I wanted to surprise you with dinner tonight," he says, his eyes shining with excitement. "I hope you like it."
-
As the morning sun filters through the curtains, you awaken to the sound of your phone buzzing with notifications. Groaning, you reach for it, expecting the usual barrage of messages and emails.
But as you scroll through the notifications, your eyes widen in disbelief at the news that greets you. The message is simple yet profound, a single sentence that rocks you to your core:
"Riki quit his dancing job and came back to Japan for you."
Your heart skips a beat as you read the words again, unable to believe what you're seeing. Could it be true? Could Riki have made such a monumental decision, sacrificing everything he worked so hard for just to be with you?
With trembling hands, you dial Riki's number, your heart pounding in your chest as you wait for him to pick up. When he finally does, his voice is filled with warmth and affection, a stark contrast to the uncertainty that fills your own heart.
"Yn," he says, his voice soft and filled with emotion. "I know that I've made mistakes, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. I love you, and I'll do anything to prove it to you."
Tears prickle at the corners of your eyes as you listen to his words, the weight of his sincerity washing over you like a wave. In that moment, you know that you have a choice to make, a choice that will determine the course of your future.

i dont even know how to ask this because i just want one thing well two actually u change my mind alastor without his jacket all messy like (you know what i mean) AND HIS HAIR UP IN A LITTLE PONYTAIL OR BUN IDC IDK ITS JUST UP AND IM DROOLING
Im gonna eat you
Pairing: Alastor x F!reader
Warnings: the only warning is the fact that i wrote this at 3 am so enough said.. but also there lowkey really horny...
Wordcount: 524
Note: Eveytime i see art of this man with his hair up lord have mercy.. id devour him actually.
You have known Alastor for a long time now. You had met him while you were both still alive. Although there were bans on alcohol at the time, you were able to sneak your way into a speakeasy. You sat at the damp gross bar waiting for the man to serve you. Of course being a woman he took his sweet time before ever asking you what you’d like. However a tall slender man walked up to you. He was wearing all red and wore a smirk that seemed to never leave his lips. After a night of drinking and doing things a lady shouldn't have done you went home fulfilled… and filled. To your dismay never seeing the man again.
That was until you ended up in hell for a cute murdering spree or whatever. You walked around aimlessly before bumping into two girls by accident. The girl with long blonde hair apologized frantically which just made you stare at her annoyed. You hated overly happy people. Of course the happy girl asked you to her hotel in which you totally thought she was trying to have a threesome, but really she was just being nice.
After months of living in this hotel and ‘trying’ to get better so you could be redeemed. Which you thought was a load of bullshit because why would you wanna get better when you're already better than everyone. During those months though you had gotten very close to Alastor. You had spent many nights with him, not always of sexual nature of course.
One morning though you woke up and you quickly realized he was gone from your bed. Which wasn’t normal usually after being with you he wanted to be as close as possible. You looked around the room to see if maybe he just decided not to sit on the bed. Your eyes widened as he came out of the bathroom with no shirt on and just pants. To make matters worse he had his hair in a little ponytail. His hair wasn’t quite long enough to have all his hair up so there were little bits sticking off the side and sticking out from under where it was pulled up. You stared at him like you could have devoured him right in that moment.
“What” His staticy voice broke you out of your thoughts. He slowly walked toward you, joining you in bed again. He began talking about god knows what but you could focus on his hair at this moment.
“This is new” You say, interrupting him, reaching your hand up to his hair. “Very hot” You breath heavily watching him, watching how he sat there so slutty without even realizing.
His head whipped to you as he realized how you were ogling him like some object. “You think?” He whispered sultrily as his hand came up to grip your throat.
You let out a whimper as he brings your face to his before kissing you slowly. So slow it almost hurt how badly you wanted him at that moment. You were aching for his attention, attention only he could ever give you.

Oh! What about hcs for Bucky and little! Reader during the fall? I get cold super easy but I love the colder months!
Fall Fun
Bucky Barnes x Little!Reader (They/Them Pronouns Used)
Warnings - Talks of pumpkin carving, talks of Bucky being the Winter Soldier (Very very vague), Talks of (Bucky's) memory loss, Fall Fluff
Notes - I love fall! It's my favourite season and I had genuinely so much fun writing this!
SFW - Please keep all interactions with this post, and this blog, SFW.
. ☆ . ☾ . ☆ . ☽ . ☆ . ☾ . ☆ . ☽ . ☆ .
Bucky loves the fall, it's his favorite season. He's not too hot, or too cold, and he finds he enjoys seeing how beautiful change can be. But most of all he loves all the activities the two of you can do together.
Most activities are ones done outside, and he is aware that you react to the cold different than him. Sure this is his perfect weather type, but you don't have the same super soldier blood he does.
So he keeps an extra jacket and sweater in his truck for you in case you're in need of an extra layer. He's also got a flannel blanket at the ready for long drives, and when buying the truck he made sure to buy one with heated seats. He never uses them, but with how often you turn yours on, he knows it was a worthy purchase.
He loves the pumpkin patch to an annoying extent. He could truly spend days there, especially with you by his side.
He has a whole seasons pass that allows unlimited corn maze trips, as many hay rides as he wants, and a total of 10 professional photos at those cute little stands where you stick your head through and end up being a pumpkin person. Trust, he has every photo framed around the house.
He also loves picking pumpkins with you, you'll give them all names and he'll do his best to remember which one was named Frank and which one was named Jeff. And he can't say no to you, he really can't, so the front porch of his house is home to 20 pumpkins by the end of fall.
He only lets you carve three, because he know you'll get bored if he tried to get you to do more. You tell him what you want them to look like and he'll do his best to sketch and carve the pumpkin the way you like.
You'd never tell him but he's actually not very good at art things like pumpkin carving, and you think you could do a better job, but he won't let you touch the sharp carving tools so your kitty cat pumpkin is lopsided, the flower looks more like an explosion, and the classic pumpkin face carving has two very different shaped eyes.
Bucky has a Pinterest account, he does, and he always is looking for new things to do to entertain you and him. Which is how you end up in the middle of a forest collecting all types of different leaves, putting them in a small book to press and dry.
You love all the colours, and Bucky takes a bunch of photos of you playing in the leaf piles, or just photos of you walking through the pretty forest, and his favorite photo is the one of you holding two leaves up proudly with a big smile on your face. (They were the biggest leaves the two of you found that day.)
Bucky always makes you wear mittens even if you don't think you need them. You argue that they're winter accessories but Bucky won't have it. He buys you mittens with pumpkins on them, or little leaves, so they look cute. He secretly has a deal with the grandma two doors down, she knits him your mittens and he buys her copious amounts of yarn.
Also fall baking? Bucky isn't a baker, but he does his best when you suggest you two make cupcakes that look like pumpkins. They actually turn out well, but the kitchen ends up a mess! And Bucky vows to never bake again ... Which was a short lived vow because two days later you two are back at it again making chocolate chip cookies with orange coloured chocolate chips.
All in all fall goes well every year. And it's the only season Bucky actively records. You don't know this for a few years but he actually scrapbooks every fall. The books are in his office and he pulls them out when he needs to remember something good.
Pictures of you in the forest line a bunch of pages, some selfies of the two of you are tucked in there, and every picture taken at the pumpkin patch has a spot. Leaves that you two pressed are glued to the pages with care, and he makes sure to photograph what your carved pumpkins look like each year.
He finds he likes making scrapbooks. Once in his life he forgot everything important to him. And sometimes he wonders what he still doesn't remember because there's nothing to remind him. So he keeps these tucked away in case he ever forgets, he keeps them so no matter what happens he'll always have proof that he loved you, that you loved him, and that beauty can exist during change.

Living Weapon Whumpee part 40
Warnings: forced living weapon/fighter, aftermath of war
But it was beautiful, in Whumpee's eyes. And he cherished the gesture, the kindness that came with receiving a gift.
"I'm so glad you're back!" Myra squealed happily. "I've been wanting to ask you something. You said you didn't know how to write, right?"
Whumpee shook his head sadly.
"That's it, I am going to teach you how to draw no matter what!" Myra said resolutely.
Whumpee flinched slightly in surprise at the unexpected contact when Myra suddenly slipped her soft tiny hand into his giant calloused one, tugging him toward a table with paper and coloring tools on it. But he quickly recovered and let the young girl lead him away and force him to sit at the small children's table. He towered over it, and ended up convincing Myra to just let him sit on the floor instead of a chair. He'd probably break it anyway.
A small and fragile creature bossing around a giant war weapon. How cute, Whumpee thought to himself with a small grin. But he was content to play along, even if his back might be stiff later from sitting on the floor so long. It made Myra happy, and he enjoyed seeing her excitement.
Myra snatched up a paper and some crayons and put them in front of Whumpee, doing the same for herself.
"Okay, so first you have to hold it like this--" Myra demonstrated the proper way to hold a writing tool, and Whumpee tried to copy it. The first couple of tries he accidently snapped the crayon in half completely, before figuring out the right amount of gentleness required to hold without breaking. It felt like holding a thin, brittle twig.
"All right. Now you just draw whatever you feel like!" Myra squeaked, and drew one of her signature stick figures. It didn't look too hard.
...It was, in fact, significantly harder than Whumpee had expected, coordinating his thoughts with his hand that would translate it through the crayon and turn it into a recognizable image. So far all he'd managed was a bunch of wild squiggles in the shape of -- a rock? A word? He had no idea.
His hand was stiff with old scar tissue from countless battles that made it hard to flex the right muscles to get the crayon to do what he wanted and move in the right direction. It felt awkward and unnatural to keep his hand in the right position to hold it. It didn't help that the crayons were like toothpicks in his giant hands anyway.
Whumpee frowned down at his attempted creation, disappointed.
"Look, you can turn even a mess into a masterpiece!" Myra chirped, and she took a crayon of her own and scribbled two dots in the middle of the lumpy, deranged circle-thing he had drawn. "See? Now it looks like the monster under my bed!"
Whumpee couldn't help bursting out laughing. Myra was trying so hard to be helpful -- it was adorable to witness. And even funnier that a 13-year old girl was teaching a grown man to draw the simplest pictures, and even that was challenging for Whumpee.
They went through dozens of papers and countless crayons before Whumpee finally managed to make something he could be proud of.
Because there, in the center of his latest paper, was a single wobbly stick figure -- the lines not as sharp and clean as Myra always made them, but it was recognizably a stick figure, and Whumpee was ecstatic about his accomplishment. His first piece of actual art.
"Now you know how to draw!" Myra squeaked happily, and threw her little arms around Whumpee in an unexpected hug, startling him.
But then Whumpee cautiously draped a giant arm around her in return in a half-hug, oh-so-carefully, viscerally aware of his own supernatural strength. It was strange how these hands, that were usually drenched in blood, were so warm and gentle right now. How he used them for kindness just as naturally as he used them for violence.
Whumpee's gaze flicked up and he saw Flint standing in the doorway with arms crossed over his chest, an amused and slightly grateful expression on his face.
Such a strange turn of events, how Whumpee had gone from a mindless war dog... to a gentle but powerful guard dog instead. It would be a rough change for all of them, but... Whumpee was looking forward to the freedom that awaited him in the future now that the war was over. Though he had a feeling he'd stick around the headquarters anyway.

Kith
synopsis; in which Jin can’t resist the adorable toddler antics of his daughter, not even when he’s on a vlive.
pairing; dad!seokjin x mom!reader
genre; fluff, humor, drabble, idol au, domestic au, dad au, vlive au, married au
warnings; just Jin being the sweetest dad ever 🥹
rating; PG-13
w/c; 707
a/n; but like, can y’all picture it as much as I have? this is something he would most definitely do for his little one and I’m not SOBBING you are!!!! ps - kith is how I used to say ‘kiss’ when I was young as well as say ‘lippy’ when I wanted to wear lipstick/chapstick sooooo that’ll be incorporated in this fic. 😙
Jin could hear the shuffle of tiny feet and loud giggles before his office door swung open, only to slam back against the wall. He made an involuntary wince, nervous chuckle spilling out.
In an instant the vlive was flooded with the same topic of comments, more than well aware who the culprit was behind the noise from previous streams.
OMG WHERE IS SHE????
ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE SHE’S BEEN ON HERE!!!
You tried, you really tried.
There was only so much you could do to entertain your 3 year old daughter while her father did his vlive in the other room. From Barbie’s, to cars, to board games, to books, to arts and crafts, to dance parties, to glitter, to glam —
Which unfortunately for Jin, was the last thing you both did before your daughter decided that enough was enough and your makeover was complete so now she was determined to do daddy’s as well.
By the time your exhausted body was able to make it to his office, she had already made herself comfortable on his lap. She was waving at the camera and smiling wide, lipstick stained teeth being shown to who knows how many people tonight. Jin’s eyes flicker up to meet your apologetic ones behind the camera, mouth opening to assure you that it was okay, when your daughter decided she had other plans.
“Daddy, lippy!” She demanded, thrusting her small hands your way. You raise a brow at her, crossing your arms over your chest.
Your voice is calm, but stern.
“What do we say, love?”
She pouts cutely, bottom lip jutting out as she sinks into her father’s embrace at your ‘mom’ voice.
“Pwease, can I have lippy?”
“Well, baby, that depends on daddy and if he wants to wear lippy.”
All it takes is one puppy dog eyed look from his daughter and he’s sighing in defeat, nodding his head at you and putting his hand out towards you to grab the lipstick container from you.
You mouth the words ‘sorry, honey’ as you give it to him. He gives you a playful glare, but smiles to let you know not to take him seriously. Sitting off to the side, still behind the camera, you sit down on the large bean bag your husband insisted he needed in his home office.
You watch the chaos unfold with a content smile. Your daughter turns around in his lap, and once he hands her the uncapped lipstick, all caution gets thrown to the wind. Once she deems him to be done, she looks over at you with one last demand from her tiny, devious little mind.
She brings her hands out wide, to then quickly smash them together with a loud clap.
“Now, kith!”
You and Jin look at each other, having a silent conversation. In the end, he just shrugs his shoulders and leaves the decision up to you. You close your eyes, letting out a quiet exhale, before you heave yourself back up to stand, walking over to them the short distance and into the view of the camera for the first time.
The comments begin to explode over what they see, but not from the sweet kiss you have with your husband, no.
It’s because of your very obvious, pregnant belly that sticks out like a sore thumb. Something you both have kept secret for 7 months now.
When you pull away, he plants a kiss on your white oversized t-shirt wearing belly, leaving a perfect lipstick stain of his lips. You lean your body sideways against him, and his head lays on your belly. Your daughter gives a small kiss of her own and when you stare at the monitor of your perfect little soon to be family of four, your heart bursts with both warmth and love.
Your daughter lets out a big yawn, and Jin just laughs, patting her head.
“Alright, looks like it’s time to sign off. Thank you everyone for joining and all of the congratulations and well wishes for the new baby. Till next time, bye!”
As if all of you planned it prematurely, you all pucker your lips at the camera while you wave, and give the heart sign.

Contains spoilers for the entirety of Unraveled
Fintan's name appears exactly 5 times :(
I was hoping that it would be more than that, since Fintan and Keefe went to the human world together a lot in Lodestar, but...yeah.
VERY low on Fitz (25 mentions). I was really hoping that we'd get a bit about Keefe's friendship with Fitz, but the fact that they're friends is barely acknowledged. It's a very anti-Fitz book overall, probably the most negative portrayal of him that I've seen in any book, which was really really disappointing. Alvar says he's "a selfish snob with a terrible temper, and he’s never going to treat her the way she deserves." Keefe responds with "You just hate your brother", but doesn't really defend him.
This is insane, but...I'm not 100% sure that Fitz isn't going to end up with a genuine villain arc. It seems unbelievable, but I could actually see things going in that direction.
Not much about other characters either.
Linh, Biana, and Marella aren't mentioned at all, Wylie is mentioned once by Sophie at the end.
He does think of Dex when he goes to Disneyland, and talks about his technopath abilities at other points, but not a lot. He and Tam do appear in the scene where they go track down Keefe at the end, though.
The named characters that appear (discounting the scenes at the very end which we saw in Stellarlune) are Cassius, Alvar, and Eleanor. Cassius and Eleanor are one encounter each.
There are a few other humans who he talks to (such as Blue Haired Girl, Man with Husband, Sapphic Waitress, Zookeeper, Cemetery Man, Old Couple, several librarians, etc), but none are named, and none stick around for more than a scene.
We get some cool elvin perspectives on human things, and get some answers to questions such as "how do the elves deal with timezones", "are elves vegetarian or vegan", "is gay marriage allowed in the lost cities", "when does the series take place", etc.
We don't really get info about the overarching plot. We learn that Eleanor faked her death, we learn that Dr Wright was an astrophysicist looking into alternative energy sources prior to his death, and we learn that he suspected that he was in danger prior to his death + burned his notes, but not much else. Keefe checks every street in London, and doesn't find the green door, which makes me think that the house might have been burned.
Cassius likes cheetos and art and isn't abusive anymore
Alvar likes face masks and pancakes
It honestly ended pretty abruptly. I was anticipating a final confrontation and some big revelations, but Eleanor still being alive is the only real revelation, and I think we all kinda expected that, since Shannon killing a little kid would be a bit weird.
Unfortunately, I didn't end up enjoying it as much as I did at first, due to the last point. But the Keefe and Alvar dynamic is cute, and they have interesting perspectives on the elvin world, so I'd suggest giving it a read anyways.

🌹 Osamu Dazai x Wife Reader 🌹
I kinda based you and Dazai’s relationship off of Jack and Rosemary from The Walten Files, so expect lots of wholesomeness
You and Dazai met around the time he just left the Port Mafia and was trying to make a new life for himself. You had also recently fled from another shady organization and was keeping a low profile
One day while walking home from the store, you spotted a man attempting to jump off a bridge and quickly rushed over to stop him, causing you both to fall in the water
Luckily you survived but were left wet and freezing. You angrily dragged him back to your apartment and cleaned him up, yelling and scolding him the entire time while your gentle actions revealed your true kindness
Dazai was soon intrigued by your strange willingness to help a stranger like him and decided to stick around a bit to see how long he could mess with you till you grew tired of him
As time passed, he slowly realized what an angel you were and ended up falling HARD for you
I’m one of the people who believe Dazai’s ideal woman would be someone with an optimistic mindset and pure/strong morality. She would also have a unique way of looking at things that kinda sets her apart from others
Realistically, I feel like Dazai wouldn’t open up about his past/vulnerable side to his lover nor marry them until a few years later since he’s VERY serious about keeping his personal info hidden until he 1000% fully trusts him them. But for the sake of this fic, let’s say he does tell you about his past and marries you shortly after his entrance exam in the ADA
You also work at the ADA as a clerk (suggested by Dazai)
You and Dazai are known as the cute couple within the ADA (a lot like Junichiro and Naomi but not creepy)
Dazai already follows and clings to you like a desperate puppy wherever you go, so you can imagine just how chaotic and distracting it gets at work
He’s always ditching his paperwork to flirt with you and then try to get you to ditch with him
Kunikida seriously wonders why the president ever thought it was a good idea to let Dazai’s wife work in the same building as him
He gushes about you nonstop omg it’s so annoying
*Kicks open door* “Guess what lunch my gorgeous wife made me today?!~~”
*Angry Kunikida eye twitch*
I cannot state enough times just how much this man WORSHIPS you like your his goddess, his shining light, his angel
A lot of his acts of love are pretty dramatic and silly, but it comes from a genuine place as he he feels he can trust you enough to share his more vulnerable side and dark past
He hasn’t shared everything with you though since I feel there are some things he can never trust anyone to share with, no matter what, not even Oda. But you understand that and accept him for who he is and his flaws
It’s your unwavering acceptance of him and his ugliness that really made him wanna spend his life with you
He never takes off his wedding ring
You do a lot of stuff together (eating, bathing, napping, errands, etc)
Only thing you don’t do together is cooking and cleaning since he always almost destroys the apartment
“Osamu, you are staying on that couch until I’m done cooking this soup!” 😤
“But belladonna, how can I ever help you prepare your delicious meal?” 🥺
“By not burning the place down!!!”
Your a lot shorter than Dazai and have a plump/curvy body type (I just really like the image of lanky Dazai having a short plump wife to pick up and cuddle 💕)
Your known for you sweet and patient personality, as well as artistic worldview that intrigues your husband
Your favorite hobby is painting. It’s something that helped you get through your dark days and your so good at it that you’ve sold a few paintings to your neighbors
Of course Dazai is your no. 1 model
Sometimes he’ll also paint something for you (he doesn’t paint as much since he’s more busy) and you decide to create a small art room to hang up both of your works
Fun fact: The real life Osamu Dazai was also a painter
Your no pushover though and can get pretty scary when angry (maybe not as scary as Dazai, but still intimidating)
If anything were to happen to Dazai, you won’t hesitate to do whatever or go wherever to save him. You don’t care who you have to face or how dangerous it might be, your fetching your husband back no matter what
Because of this, he’ll concoct plans ahead of time to best keep you out of harms way
Yeah, Dazai is still his manipulative self, but does it all out of love and what he thinks is best for you, wether you agree or not
God help anyone who even tries to lay a hand on you because Dazai will NOT hold back in letting them know what happens to those who try to harm HIS wife
I don’t really see you guys having kids. Your already happy enough just having each other (and also your dangerous professions)
Dazai doesn’t like you meeting any of his former Port Mafia peers and tries to keep them away from you
Though I imagine you and Chuuya probably have met at some point. He doesn’t give you much thought until he finds out you’re that idiot’s wife and he freaks out!!
If Akutagawa found out about you, I think he would also be shocked but then grow jealous of how close you are. How the hell was a weakling like you able to easily gain Dazai-san’s trust and admiration when he couldn’t?!

Ghosftflower: The Artbook Cut
Okay guys, sorry for not doing much lately, holidays aside my laptop died so I am using something else in the meantime, so I had been a tad busy lately.
That being said, the Art Book arrived today! There wasn't a lot of ghostflower sadly, but I wanted to bring something regardless, so let's dig in!
Honestly while I don't consider myself an expert on these types of book, I own a few, and this one is...strange to say the least.
The formatting is off in a few parts, some things that don't make sense with what we are told in the movies, sections of the art book that assume we saw something on the movie that we didn't- I may do a post about it because looking at this book somehow gave me more questions than answers.
But that's a story for another post, let's go!
(Sorry for the quality of the pics, my phone isn't the best and I am not a good photographer myself.)
This one is right at the end, as part of the decoration between the walls of the book and the pages itself; it shows the entire city, but I focused on them for obvious reasons.
Also because the ending shot of this particular scene is one of my favourites in all the movie and seeing it in it's concert art form means a lot to me.
These two were in between pages at the beginning, the text talks more about the general process on the movie than them, so not a lot we can say.
Still lovely, I honestly wish we had more of Gwen and Miles swinging across New York, there is something beautiful and enchanting not only in them moving around in a way only a spider-hero can do, but also almost like a dance between these two.
Not so much ghostfloweer, but I still liked this pic of them together in Hobie's world.
The book acts as if we were suppose to see this world so one of those crazy things about this art book is seeing the stuff that was in the movie before it was cut.
Honestly the making-of this movie would either be insane or extremely edited because this is nuts.
Oh ho ho, we are getting to the MEAT.
Okay, I don't read Scripts very often, but the times I had has been interesting, specially since a lot of times it can reveal some small gags that either got cut on the movie, or that things that were in plain sight that you didn't notice. DEFINITELY will be reading the Script for this movie once I get my hands on it.
In this pic, it shows a deleted joke, either this was going to be in the cut of the movie when the book was in development, or it was left there but was already planned on being scrapped.
What I like about this deleted dialogue is that it shows, once again, that Gwen isn't always at the top of her game. As cool as she can be, she is still a teen who hasn't figured everything out.
I honestly find her more endearing trying to stick the landing and failing that just being cool and collected all the time.
Sorry for the long box of text, wasn't sure where to cut. There are two parts in this I want to highlight.
"They're both trying to impress each other,"
I found this extremely cute because while Miles trying to keep up with her and impress her is obvious (Just like everything else with Miles, as a said, the boy wears his heart in his sleeve and we love him for it,) but to be honest I didn't think Gwen was trying to do the same.
Now I imagine Gwen looking around this New York and trying to see what she could do to impress Miles- I love these earnest dorks.
The awkward gazelle part is also pretty much present in the movie; however I do like the comparison on how Miles himself knows now more than ever what he is capable of, which really shows in the rest on the movie, including in the train chase scene.
(Not really Ghostflower, but I LOVE how Miles never doubt on himself despite what he heard, need to talk about that eventually.)
More art of this beautiful scene, which was sparkled around these notes.
There is not much I want to analyze here as much as to, emphasize it?
Analyzing this movie so much and so often has really gotten to appreciate it to a whole new level, even if during said process I was able to see more of the mistakes and issues underneath.
This scene is really this and more, and what is astonishing is that is not that they are capturing the essence of the scene in some words, but rather come with the concept and create said scene, which is a lot more complicated.
And yet they pulled it off beautifully.
I really liked to highlight this part because 1) I and everyone else may need to start paying close attention to lighting because wow that detail is extremely cool, and 2) It really highlights a whole new layer to this scene.
They are getting close, both physically and emotionally, yet all the things they hide, how they hide themselves in a way, gets in the way of what they truly want. Is amazing because is a struggle that in the details is very much Spiderman, but below it is so human. Which honestly, part of the reason Spiderman as a whole as become so beloved over the years.
(Side note: Stan Lee decided to make Peter Parker in a era where superheroes were adults who basically could do anything, so coming with a teen who would also had teen issues was something that got people calling Stan nuts. Crazy how things how it worked out I'm right?)
Different stages development of this scene because of course I needed to include this, even if i can't say much of it really.
Not much to say here, except that this brief goes beautifully with the next excerpt of the book that I enjoyed.
"At that moment, anything is possible for the two of them." Isn't all of this phrased so beautifully?
While not telling us anything new, I want to relish in this little bits that just makes the scene feel so much whole as you read this.
How both Gwen and Miles don't want this to end, to keep the warmth between them going, to just linger because neither of them want to let the other one go. Frozen in place unable to move forwards for thall the unsaid things, yet refusing to move back.
They are lovely.
And that's all I have for them sadly! This book was extremely odd, it was very much lacking a lot of Miles and Gwen (Which kind of tracks, art books go mostly about design and their design's haven't change much,) but the fact that most of this information was at the end, alongside other things, makes me curious about what the heck went down while making this.
Or other stuff because is not the first time we see the remnants of the other versions of this movie peaking by.

Just Friends? - Dalton Lambert
Pairing: Dalton Lambert x Reader
Warnings: fluff, adorable drunk!Dalton
Prompt: 'You're so warm.'
A/N: Aaaah! My first fic for my 2k writing celebration, thank you so much @fluentmoviequoter for requesting, I hope you enjoy! If you guys want to request anything just drop me an ask or a message! Hope you guys all enjoy this, I love you all very much! xxx
There was comfortable silence in Dalton’s dorm room as he worked on an Art project and you were working on your English assignment. You loved the fact that you felt so comfortable with each other that you were able to do this. You glanced up at Dalton, who looked so cute with his brow furrowed, the tip of his tongue sticking out slightly as his hand moved across his sketchbook.
He must have felt you looking because he looked up at you, his cheeks flushing, “what’s up?”
“Please, come to the party with me,” you whined.
Dalton sighed and glanced down at his sketchbook before he looked back up at you, “Y/N,” he groaned, “I really have no interest in going to another party surrounded by frat boys and their stupid girlfriends.”
You huffed and flopped back dramatically on the spare bed you were sitting on, “fine.”
Dalton laughed at how dramatic you were, “are you going to have a little temper tantrum if I don’t take you to the party?” he teased.
You turn your head to face him, “will it change your mind if I do?”
He shook his head fondly as he began sketching again, “sorry, but no.”
You pouted, “but I think it’ll do you some good to get out of the dorm though. And, besides, you closed the door so there won’t be any dead guys lurking in any bathrooms,” you joked.
Dalton thought about it for a second and you could practically see the cogs turning in his head, “fine,” he sighs, “but if the party sucks, I’m blaming you.”
“Woo! You’re the best!” you grin as you sit up.
“I know, I know,” he smirked, “I am pretty great.”
You laughed, “you’re oh so humble too.”
The two of you quickly finished your work and agreed to meet back at Dalton’s dorm around 7pm. You had a hard time deciding on what to wear, you didn’t want to make it seem like you were trying too hard, after all it was a casual night with your best friend. God, you were such a cliché, having feelings for your best friend. You pushed the thoughts out of your head as you finally decided on an outfit and quickly got ready before heading to Dalton’s dorm.
“Hey,” he greeted you with a grin as he stepped out to lock the door to his room, “you look good.”
“Thanks,” you flushed, “so do you.”
He said nothing but ducked his head to hide the smile on his face. You both walked out into the cold night air to start the short walk to the frat house. You were meeting Chris there as she was going with some of her other friends.
Dalton shoved his hands in his pockets as he glanced at you, “so why are you so excited to go to this party? Are you meeting up with someone?” his voice was weird as he asked you that last part.
You scoffed at his words, “no, I just think it’d be good to get out and you need to loosen up and get drunk.”
Dalton laughed, “I’m not sure I like getting drunk.”
“Well,” you start, “if you do end up getting drunk I’ll look after you.”
“Really?” he asked as he glanced at you.
“Of course, I’m destined to look after the slightly awkward, cute art student,” you joke.
Dalton flushed as he kept his eyes on your face, blinking rapidly, “you think I’m cute?”
“I do think you’re cute,” you grin, “surely, you hear it all the time?”
He shook his head, “I’m not used to getting compliments, especially off pretty women,” he grinned at you as he ran a hand through his hair.
Now it was your turn to go red, “you think I’m pretty?”
“I think you’re beautiful,” he corrected himself with a grin as you walked into the frat house together and you smiled as warmth filled your chest.
The frat house was very generic, there were flashing lights and sweaty bodies pressed up together as they danced. There were people doing keg stands and people playing beer pong in the centre. You met Chris by the drinks table and she waved with a grin as you approached.
Dalton touched your shoulder as he gestured to the drinks table, “do you want wine, beer, or whatever that is?” he pointed at the solo cup, wrinkling his nose in disgust.
You laughed, “I think beer is the safest option,” it was the only alcohol on the table that was in a sealed bottle. Dalton nodded in agreement as he grabbed two bottles, cracking them both open and handing one to you.
The both of you hung out at the side-lines of the party, people watching while Chris was upstairs, looking for stuff in vacant rooms. Now that you were here, you were starting to feel a little overwhelmed. Dalton looked increasingly more uncomfortable as you drained your beer and went to grab two more, you felt guilty for dragging him here.
You touched his wrist to get his attention over the loud music, “you want to go outside?” you spoke in his ear, smiling when he nodded his head, relief spreading out across his face.
You took his hand and the both of you walked outside to the pool area. It was quieter out here, there was a lot less people. The both you sat on one of the sun loungers, so close together that your knees touched and you didn’t have to shout to hear each other. There was a drinks table out here too and the two of you made your way through it as you talked about everything and anything, feeling more and more buzzed.
Dalton looked so handsome in a white button down that brought out the blue of his eyes and his long wavy hair was loose. His eyes looked so pretty beneath the lighting of the pool that you looked away from his face as you spoke, “I’m really sorry for dragging you here, it seemed like it would be better in my head.”
Dalton laughed lightly as he linked his fingers through yours, making you look back at him, “don’t apologise, I like the fact I’m here with you,” you smiled as you squeezed his hand in response.
Chris came out to join you, showing you the things she had snagged from the bedrooms upstairs and between the three of you – and the few other people outside – you drank through all the beer on the table outside. None of you would touch the wine or whatever was in the solo cup. You offered to head back into the frat house to grab more drinks. You snagged three bottles of beer and as you were about to head back outside you saw Chris watching something with a look of disbelief on her face.
“What’s wrong?” you asked here as you passed her a bottle of beer.
She pointed, “Dalton is doing a keg stand, he must have been more drunk than we thought,” she laughed.
You watched as Dalton was lowered back to the ground, beer spilling down his front with a grin on his face as the boys around him cheered. He noticed you and called your name excitedly as he held out his arms as he walked over you to give you a hug.
His grin dropped as he pulled away from the hug and he clutched his stomach, looking at you, his eyes wide like a little boy’s, “I don’t feel good,” he mumbled and you had to fight back a laugh.
“C’mon, I’ll take you home,” you rubbed his back and he nodded, you glanced back at Chris, “I’ll text you when I’m back,” you smiled, knowing that she was staying with her friends.
She nodded, “make sure he doesn’t choke on throw up,” she laughed.
It was pretty difficult getting Dalton home when he didn’t contribute much, his feet dragged against the floor and it took twice as long to get back to the dorms. As you got back to his dorm you got some clean clothes from the drawer and handed them to him, turning around so he could change. He snuggled into his bed and you sat at the edge, stroking his hair from his flushed face, passing him a water bottle you got from his mini fridge.
“Do you feel okay?” you asked, “are you going to be sick?”
He shook his head, “no, not gonna be sick,” he slurred his words and he looked up at you with wide eyes, “will you stay and cuddle with me?” he asked, pulling the covers back and scooching back against the wall.
You couldn’t deny him, especially when he looked at you like that, you grinned and got into bed with him, wrapping your arms around him, he leaned his head on your chest, his soft breath blowing against your neck, “you’re so warm,” he mumbled as you stroked his hair.
He was silent for a couple of moments before he spoke again, “can I tell you something?”
“Of course.”
“You can’t tell, Y/N though, you have to promise,” he yawned and you fought back a laugh, he was obviously so far gone.
“I promise,” you laugh.
“I have the biggest crush on, Y/N,” he said simply and you stared at him, feeling a happy bubble rise in your chest, “but I don’t want to ruin our friendship.”
“I don’t think it’ll ruin your friendship,” you whisper, “you should tell her, she might feel the same,” you pressed a kiss against his forehead, speaking against his skin.
“Hmm maybe.”
He was silent for a couple of moments, and you spoke up again, “Dalton?”
He didn’t answer but the slow pace of his breathing told you he was asleep and you grinned as you held him tighter before succumbing to sleep yourself.

another long day at the beautiful fortress with nobody around, nobody doing anything.
the only thing going on is a few uppermoons that pass by every once in a while.
the only two sticking around, really, is you and nakime (of course)!
nakime doesn’t talk unless she’s spoken to, so you two aren’t speaking much. but definitely, she’s watching you in adoration♡
shortly later, you ask her if she wants to play you two’s favorite pass-time game!
she almost instantly responds, like she was waiting for you to ask her〜
“yes, i would love to, m/n. today is quite slow moving, i enjoy passing time like this.”
don’t forget that it’s been shown in the anime that they can talk quite normal and hear each other just fine〜
with that being said, nakime talks in a softer and quieter tone, only for you to hear her♡
but just with that, you smile and her and stand up, and activate your blood demon art of invisibility.
with the endless amount of time and patience you two have, the game is on!
nakime knows she can teleport people with her biwa. so to keep the game more fun, she describes the spot you’re in, instead!
if she wins, you turn off your BDA.
she starts off by guessing your favorite spots, and spots you’re most commonly seen in.
when you don’t appear or say a word, that’s how she knows she has guessed incorrectly.
she even guessed the special spot that she made just for the two of you, and only you and her having access to it!
what do you mean you’re not there this time?
she’s puzzled, but quite patient〜
to switch things up this time, you decided to keep changing your spot! poor nakime
“m/n, are you located in the special space?”
“are you near the smallest lantern in the castle, dear?”
“maybe you’re in the vicinity of akaza’s domain, sweetheart?”
nothing, nothing, and nothing again! where are you, invisible boy〜?
eventually, you make your way closer to her, just to hear her voice closer to your heart♡
you end up going back into your hiding, incase she says “are you in front of me?” hehe
on your way back, you find another spot, but this time it’s kind of out in the open.
you sit down, just smiling at your beloved nakime♡…
when just then… wait, huh? you sense another presence about to turn on the corner you’re hiding on?!
daki is trying to make her way past! but she obviously cannot see you, and ends up stumbling over you!
out of shock, she exclaims,
“dude, what on earth are you doing?! you almost made me fall! move it!!” (storms off)
nakime, the know-all-see-all, of the infinity castle, clearly witnessed that whole situation.
quickly, you change your location before nakime claims her victory!
when she calls out to your spot, it’s only followed by silence. speedy demon, you are!
(silly enough, from nakime’s perspective, she could just see it as daki being in on your silly antics, or daki just going insane.)
you sit somewhere else, this time being more thoughtful about demons using it as a travel way.
she starts to get creative with her answers! however, she’s not hitting the hammer on the nail〜…
a few more guesses goes on, until nakime falls silent, just smiling?
have you won?
did nakime give up?
or does she want to switch things up, too?
no one said that couldn’t use her biwa! she just always chose to not use it!
she would let out a little laugh, a laugh that sparks a light into you, but also confuses you.
after long hours of you two playing, and with you changing your spot frequently, she decides you strum you right into her lap!
she has defeated you with the power of her heart.. finally wanting to see her lover again♡!
now you have to turn off your blood demon art, because she found you her own way〜
she places a hand on your face, with a simple sentence,
“my m/n, i have found you♡”
ੈ✩‧₊˚༺☆༻ੈ✩‧₊˚ ੈ✩‧₊˚༺☆༻ੈ✩‧₊˚
my, my! i really enjoyed writing this, and i hope it’s good for my first time writing for biwa-lady〜 i truly do enjoy the creativity you all come up with! thank you for your patience and continuous support, my precious flowers❀ 〜

"I mean it's... it's all my fault. I'd hate me too."
Blitz going to therapy headcanons
Blitz going to therapy would be Loona’s idea. Moxxie would make a joke about his boss needing therapy in passing, but Loona would actually do research and find a decent therapist in hell and put the idea into motion.
Although Blitz doesn’t believe in therapy, he would promise to give it a shot after seeing how much effort Loona put into finding him a therapist and seeing how much it seemed to mean to her.
Since he promised Loona, she would get him to give it 3 months before letting him quit so twice a week for 3 months he would promise to make therapy his bitch. And yes, those would be his exact words.
He would bring his favorite horse stuffie to his first session because it would help him feel a little less anxious.
The first session would solely be Blitz ranting about how he doesn’t need therapy.
Because of his past, he wouldn’t be super comfortable opening up to a man, so he would end up switching therapists multiple times until he found someone he felt comfortable sitting in a room with for an hour and talking about things that made me feel vulnerable.
Once he found someone he felt comfy with, he would get a lot out of the sessions he was in since they would be patient enough to let the man go at his own pace when opening up and they would work with him to find ways to make his sessions work for him.
The next few sessions after finding and getting to know the new therapist would be filled with a lot of tears as they began to work through some of the things he hadn’t realized they would be talking about.
Upon suggestion Blitz would take up journaling several weeks into his sessions, but rather than writing, he would keep an art journal. He would end up taking it everywhere and drawing out his feelings multiple times a day, but he only ever lets his therapist see it.
After a few sessions, to prove he was indeed doing his best to make therapy his bitch, he would try to drop fancy therapy words around the office….. He rarely got the meanings right, but he has the spirit.
Eventually, they would start working through the unresolved feelings around the fire at his family’s circus…. Those would be really hard sessions for him.
Blitz would take his coping strategies so seriously and he would take notes on them and then go back to those notes in real life situations to try to use the skills he learned.
Despite medication being recommended, Blitz would stay on a non-medicated plan. He would try the antidepressants they recommended, but they would make him feel less like himself and he’d quit them pretty quickly and go on the strictly talk-therapy route.
He would leave quite a few sessions with teary eyes after working through things he hadn’t even realized would hit him that hard.
Moxxie wouldn’t believe Blitz would actually stick with therapy long enough for it to be useful, but when everyone began to notice the small changes that the imp made after really getting into it, they’d all be impressed and they’d be a great support system when he needed it.
After sessions that his little family could tell felt more emotionally draining for him, they would each try to do one small thing to brighten his day. Millie would show him videos of humans dying in amusing ways, Moxxie usually sent him horse facts or pictures of cute baby horses, and Loona often tried to spend time with her adoptive father or bought his favorite sweet treats. Blitz didn’t realize they did these things until long after when he was feeling less drained.
After months of going to therapy, Blitz would actually suggest Loona start seeing a therapist too.
Despite Loona not wanting to do therapy herself, she would agree to family therapy, which Blitz would absolutely count as a win.
Family therapy would actually be a huge help within the two’s relationship, though it would still take Loona going to her own individual sessions to fully help with some of the issues.
It would take quite a while, but after a lot of talk therapy, one of the ways others would recognize his growth would be that he would have a new IMP photo for a billboard and he would keep a smaller print of it to hang at home…. And he wouldn’t scribble his face out of it before hanging it.

NAMELESS GHOUL HEADCANONS
i cannot get them out of my brain.
dew's hair is like super long and it's his pride and joy
since his element is fire, he's almost always like piping hot so whenever it's cold out, the ghouls huddle around him for extra warmth
cumulus makes tea bags for each of the ghouls, along with a piece of paper explaining why she added what she did
sunshine does nail art
DEW MEOWS
the ghoulettes have girl's nights every saturday where they sit in cirrus's room and do a bunch of cute little self care routines and it usually ends in the three of them passed out, surrounded by snacks with a movie in the background that none of them are watching
they also all cuddle up together, and there have been times where their tails got tied into knots and mountain had to help them
aether is the sleepiest ghoul
swiss insists on keeping the fridge stocked with dr pepper
whenever rain sees a puddle, he literally needs to jump in it
cirrus and mountain teach each other how to play their corresponding instruments, and sometimes they switch during practice
whenever he's sleepy, dew curls up on aether or rain's laps. and forces asks them politely to play with his hair
mountain kicks ass at google snake
swiss likes to stand behind doors waiting for the other ghouls, and then he pops out and scares the shit out of them with that goofy smile on his face
cumulus sleeps WEIRDLY
she'll go to bed laying on her back like a stick and when she wakes up, she's folded in half in the middle of the bed with the corner of a blanket in her mouth
mountain loves the snow, and him and rain have snowball fights during the winter
there was this one time swiss bought weed brownies and he forgot to tell aether, who ate the entire container and ended up high off his ass
sunshine smells like blood and fresh roses and she's really really soft
cirrus is the only ghoul who can juggle with her tail; it's like her party trick
papa once brought the ghouls to a trampoline park and you can only imagine the chaos that unfolded
in short, dew got stuck IN THE CEILING, aether and mountain went to play games at the arcade and won like 12 giant plushies just by playing skee ball, cumulus and swiss started throwing the ball pit balls at each other and they got rain to supply them with more balls whenever they got lost, and cirrus and sunshine were launching themselves at the trampolines on the walls trying to see how far they could throw themselves
the ghouls in public is literally the funniest thing ever

the art of balance
pairing: aged up! lo'ak x reader
plot: the way you thrive in the forest is by learning how to grow under someone else's shade. at least, that's what lo'ak always seemed to think. alternatively, lo'ak learns the art of balance.
word count: 2.5k
warnings: friends to lovers, pining, kissing, botany, aged up just for the lore of the story
The seed was dying.
It was hard to say what the problem was exactly other than he gave too much. Too much water. Too many nutrients. Even in the case that it wasn't drowning, or poisoned by excess, it was eaten by a mantis or parasitized by a fungus. The point being made was clear. Eywa was not choosing him.
Mo’at said the canopy was a mostly forgiving place. Although, when it came to this rite of passage, the bravest of warriors fell short. They lacked the precision. And if they had that, then they lacked the follow-through. You thought of it differently. There is only one rule in the forest. I’m doing it for you.
What they needed, was heart. It's why you knew Lo’ak would be okay.
“Wrong.” Mo’at tuts her tongue as she watches her grandson, once again, bring a small seed an early death.
“That’s constructive.” He mumbles with bite.
Though, there is a small laugh there, too. Lo’ak looks up to the tree that you lie perched on and begs for eye contact. With streaks of wet dirt covering his pretty face, you meet his smile and do him one better, laughing a laugh that dances in the air as it travels down to meet his ears.
It’s a sound that brings him warmth. Enough to continue. He sighs before taking a new seed between two of his fingers, gently pitting a hole in the ground, and setting the story of growth in place once more.
Mo’at hums disapprovingly.
“Wrong, again.”
“I haven’t even started yet!” He objects.
Again, your giggle drifts, carried down by a gust of wind. This time, Lo’ak narrows his eyes and sticks a finger out, ready to begin the rant he feels building in his chest about how none of this is fair, and the forest hates him, and worst of all, you’re laughing and it makes his heart clench – but Mo’at shuts her eyes tightly and shakes her head.
“The fooling around ends now.” She warns, meeting your eyeline. “Lo’ak, you are done for the day.”
That was about right.
The first day you and Lo’ak met, they hoped it would set him on the straight path. Apparently, there was one. Even on the mystique of a moon planet, with gravity on his side, he never seemed to find the right footing.
But that effort died on the same day it was born. The same day you knew you loved him. His spark. His courage. His inability to conform. His inability to do anything other than follow his heart. You had no intention of changing him. Instead, opting to commit all the good and so-called bad into a moving memory. A best friend, dream lover – your Lo’ak.
So, when he did something funny when he wasn’t supposed to, you laughed wholeheartedly. And when he learned he could make you laugh, he had a hard time doing much else.
“A little help would’ve been nice.” He grumbles as you jump down into the space next to him. It was different for you. The forest was like an old friend. These soils knew you – willed for you. Even he could see it.
You poke a finger at his cheek affectionately. “I need to see what you’re made of first.”
At that, Lo’ak scoffs. Whatever he was made of, it surely was not for the likes of this place.
“You need to set the intention.”
Lo’ak scrunches his brow in concentration, staring obtusely at the pile of soil sitting in his cupped hands. He shuts his eyes and the ground pulses. Set the intention.
“Pretend like... you’re having a secret conversation. Just you and the seed. Whatever you want it to do, say it in your head. Tell it exactly what you’re feeling.”
Lo’ak feels skeptical.
Nonetheless, he attempts to push the doubt aside, and casts a wish into the ether. He peaks an eye open to see you. With your lips pulled so cutely, and your eyes screwed shut in such tranquil contemplation, he thinks you might as well be a wood sprite.
You are a sign of goodness. You float in the air. You bring him good luck.
Like clockwork, a branch from a nearby tree snaps forward to smack him on the forehead, and Lo’ak yells out an aggravated moan. Unsurprisingly, you laugh. But this time, he can’t push the words down far enough.
“This is pointless!” He gripes. “I’m doing everything you’re telling me but clearly this place has it out for me.”
You pause for a moment. Lo’ak notices the pretty way your pupils widen and knows it’s not something he will ever forget.
“There’s one more thing we can try!” Quickly, you grab a broad, plume-shaped leaf from the detritus on the forest floor. He stares expectantly as you place the green plant tissue atop your head.
“Well, what are you waiting for?” You demand. “Go! Do it!”
Lo’ak fumbles with his hands as he, against all his better judgement, grabs a leaf just like yours and mirrors you. He thinks about his conversation with a seed. Tell it exactly what you’re feeling. What Lo’ak feels, is stupid.
“What is this supposed to do, exactly?” He asks pointedly.
“It lets the seed know you’re not a threat.” And Lo’ak nods.
That is, until he sees the way your bedrock resolve turns into a wildflower, boisterous laughter spilling from your lips like a too-full cup, so enticing he can’t help but to let his own flow out, too, until you’re both sitting waist deep in a ravine of laugh water.
“Are you seriously fucking with me right now?”
“I am!” You defend, still coming down from the high. Happy that you were both there. “When was the last time you just let go and had fun?”
It was a fair question. It had been a long time. He forgot how good it felt to be stupid on purpose.
“I am a warrior, Y/N.” He says softly.
There was a lot in between those lines. Your gaze turns to his calloused hands. The scars on his legs and chest. The fresh cut slowly healing on his lips. “That you are.”
He turns his head down to look at those hands, which suddenly feel very heavy.
“But you were my friend first.”
And just like that, he lightens.
In the dream, there is kissing. The shape of two warm ghosts trying to know each other. Feather-soft touches. He is in your arms like he belongs. He stays. Like a tree rooted in the ground. More than that, like the network of fungi that connects all things in this forest. He kisses you. Emphatically. Like he means to. Your fingers tangle in his braids. Beads clink against each other. Bodies warm. Bodies so warm, morning stings less.
Everything in the forest has a role.
Lo’ak comes to see that even the pesty, seed-eating mantises are a part of something larger. It is a hopeful revelation. But leaves in him something wanting. Where did he fit in all this? What was his role? When would it all click?
He listens attentively as you point from the streams, to the apex of the canopy, to the patches of life on the forest floor that he, too, wished to cultivate. All of them intentional. All of them important. All of them tugging at his most existential heart strings.
“What about me?” He mumbles. Almost exasperated, but more desperate.
Your face twists in confusion. “What do you mean, Lo’ak?”
“I mean, what’s my role? Besides being a screw-up.”
It doesn’t make sense why, but it’s a punch to the gut. Why didn’t he get it? Why didn’t he look at the lively, unafraid, unrelenting forest and see himself? It was him. You loved it because it was him.
Lo’ak feels like he must have said something wrong with the way your eyes nearly tear up. “Forget it.” He dismisses, shaking his head with furrowed brow. “It was stupid-,”
“Balance.”
Lo’ak stops in his tracks.
“You have a million purposes.” You start. “But for me, you’re balance.
“Whenever I’m laughing, or crying. There are a pair of eyes I want to look into. There’s a person I want to share all those moments with. Someone that brings me balance.
“Those eyes are yours, Lo’ak.”
There is no air here. He is sure of it.
“Your eyes.” You promise. “In all of my memories. In all my dreams. Making me feel okay. I need you to know that.”
Lo’ak learns immediately that the forest has a sound of its own – now buzzing wildly in his ears as he struggles to find the right words, like there are any, to let you know that he understands. But the sudden vulnerability is too much. You feel like disappearing.
“Sorry. I made it weird. I-I should go help Kiri in the healing tent.”
Your exit is quick and painful. Lo’ak feels like he needs to pick his explosive feelings out of surrounding tree bark.
That night, Lo’ak can’t fall asleep because his body is hot all over.
He replays your words again and again. Hanging onto each one of them in a different way. Feeling a feeling that, at this point in his life, feels like it’s been written into his DNA. The love for you – it was natural. Equilibrating.
He sticks his leg out of his hammock into the dead of night and lets the goosebumps rise up his calf, building to his thigh, mediating the heat behind his temples.
Balance.
Something clicks. Lo’ak laughs like a mountain banshee, which he's sure has a role in the forest, too.
In the forest, a seed planted by calloused hands sprouts.
You and Lo’ak are thirteen years old. There are no moments of silence – though not for lack of trying.
Neteyam is giving a lecture on focus. The word is funny when you sound it out in your mouth enough times. But there is nothing funny about the moment. You are wet. You are cold. You are sulking as Neteyam continues to makes his disappointment clear.
Lo’ak keeps staring.
What had begun as a forest excursion in the world of hunting rapidly turned to one of play. One where Lo’ak says something he shouldn’t and needs to get shoved into the ravine. One where he pulls you with him. One where the beading of water from his braids is more alluring than it should be.
The rule of the forest is. I’m doing it for you. The rule of your friendship with Lo’ak – I’m not throwing you under the bus.
The demeanor is much too tight-lipped for Neteyam’s liking. He leaves with a huff, shaking his head every so often as he treads under the trees that know all secrets.
Funny enough, there is a silence.
Lo’ak’s eyes are still fixed on the ground. When he finally looks up, he finds yours are already there. You have that look. Like you’re trying to be mad at him, but you can’t. Like you’re trying to be serious, but you’re not. He hates that look, but he loves how it always comes before a smile.
“Admit it.” He pokes an elbow into your rib. “It was kinda funny.”
“If that’s what helps you sleep at night.”
But it’s hard not let the absurdity of the moment overwhelm you. Your wet top feels sticky against the skin and sludges as you walk. Lo’ak feels his cheeks hurt from smiling– it’s so unconvincing.
“Oh, I sleep really fucking good.”
Finally, there is real, boisterous laughter. Like every taut string just snaps. Then slowly recoils. Leaving sweet silence in which two kids grin stupidly, throats too spent to bother with the words.
Lo’ak revisits that silence, a lot. It helps him focus.
The seed is a gift.
It takes your careful consideration and becomes something. It takes all the love, and the grit. It takes the time. It takes the hard labour – physical, and otherwise. What the gift means, in Lo’ak’s eyes, is intuitive. I’m giving you me.
He can feel you avoiding him in the way his bones feel chewed through by mites.
But tonight, it doesn’t matter. He’s been building up to this. Longer than his conscious mind even realizes. Longer than the branches of a willow tree stretch themselves. He could almost hear the forest saying it to him. Tonight, is the night of giving. You would be so proud.
“Wake up.” It is a cold hand and whisper that tugs you out of your hammock.
“Lo’ak?” You mumble. “What are you doing?”
“C’mon. Not yet.”
There was something different about the way he was moving. Confident. In big strides. Big, pillowy leaves reach out to stroke your face as you trail behind him. The bioluminescence everywhere, but especially glowing on his cheeks. With each tree he passes, he touches a finger to its bark. Acknowledging. It feels like falling in love with the forest through his eyes.
Suddenly, your bodies come to a halt. Lo’ak presents himself before you with his hands awkwardly posed behind his back. He looks nervous, you think. But more than that, he looks happy.
The air is cool on his face and the grass is wet under his feet. Even the silence is pretty. He wants to store it all in a bottle. Your knit brow makes him beat you to it.
“Wait.” He speaks. “Before you chew me out.”
Then, his shaky hands lurch forward with the thing he had clasped tightly behind his back just moments before. Wrapped in a beautiful blue silk ribbon. A plant you recognize from its conception.
“Lo’ak.” It’s hard to say anything else. “D-do you know what this means?”
At that, his golden eyes melt. “Come on, Y/N. You know it’s you. You know it’s always been you.”
His fingers edge forward, slowly, tenderly, taking your hand into his now too-hot palm. The touch of the skin. Transfer of energy. It feels too much but it’s a long time coming. His face is hot, too. Coming closer.
“Can never be too sure.” You whisper. “Apparently, you’re impulsive.”
Lo’ak’s eyes twinkle that mischievous glint. “Huh, never heard that one before.”
His hands creep up to cup your face. Then he stares, unabashedly. The heat feels like it could bore through your skin. The truth in his eyes makes you wonder if he’s been looking at you like this your whole life. It’s a relief that the canopy is so high here. There’s nothing but those hands holding you to the ground.
That is, until there are lips.
In the forest, with the breath of the trees, Lo’ak kisses you for the first time with hunger and promise. He does so like he does everything, tenaciously, like it belongs to him. But there’s nothing wounding about it. His kiss breaks what is dormant. His kiss nourishes, abundantly. His kiss pauses to smile a stupid pretty smile until he kisses again.
“Stupid.” You murmur into him, teeth biting. So unserious.
“Okay." He admits. "That one’s familiar.”
The best part about the forest. The laugh is everywhere.
END.
from me: i know he loves the forest <33 but i needed some metaphor for those angsty outcast feelings. i will leave it up to u guys to decide if u imagine this as if they never left, or if this is in a world where they come back!

paulventures in florida
first off, this would not have been remotely possible without my dear friend @elrohare who generously, and incredibly, asked if i'd be her +1 to this event. I'm eternally grateful for a wonderful time.
friends, romans, countrymen, lend me your ears--
wait, that's not right.
HEY, PEE-PUL--
On 2/23/24, Cynthia and I met Paul Stanley and had dinner with him.
Our full weekend adventure eventually ended up taking us all around the sovereign state of Florida, a state I have not (been) driven around since 1998, when my family went on a trip to Disney World. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many palm trees or so much Spanish moss.
But you don’t wanna hear about the insane roads of Florida, you wanna hear about Paul. We’ll get there.
I was running on approximately four hours of sleep due to having taken a 7 a.m. flight in order to ensure I would be able to see Paul in the first place. Was Paul actually due to show up around 7 p.m.? Yes. Did I care? No. It was not exactly a short drive from the Orlando airport where Cynthia picked me up to the Hard Rock hotel/casino in Hollywood (Florida) where the gallery was. We had to guarantee our presence (and I had to guarantee that there would be room for error should my flight be delayed!). Once we were at the Wentworth gallery, Cynthia’s art broker, Laura, showed her one of her pieces. Laura also mentioned offhand that “he (Paul Stanley) was just here earlier” and I believe she may have showed us a picture of him at the gallery– I know she said he was nice. Inside of the gallery was a small section with a table full of different sharpies (gold, silver, black) and he had scribbled on a piece of paper or something on the table to test one out.
Cynthia determined she could only fit one of the paintings in her trunk and would have to have the other shipped. She took care of those details and afterwards asked when we should be there for Paul– we were told that, of course, around seven was it but if we wanted to poke over at 6 or 6:30, we could. She encouraged us to hang around and shop/etc. if we wanted, but honestly, the mall aspect of the casino was fairly paper-thin and if you weren’t gambling and weren’t super-enamoured with the (admittedly cool) water/fountain light show, you weren’t going to be entertained for hours on end. Fortunately, obsessing over our upcoming meeting/dinner was entertaining enough when it wasn’t nerving us both out!
We had some discussion on whether we should show up at the gallery again right at 6 or not, and ended up kind of poking over and realizing that the gallery hadn’t exactly filled up at that point. We ended up poking back in at 6:30, which was ideal. Directly outside the gallery (you could only really stick around in there if you’d purchased or were very interested in purchasing a painting, due to the meet and greet aspect that was going to happen there in the back) was starting to get a bit crowded and that only continued– fans with things they were hoping to get signed/hoping he would look at (there was a gorgeous drawing of eighties Paul that a girl was holding up that she’d done!)-- but I think a lot of them just wanted to get a glimpse of Paul.
Cynthia and I made some small talk with the other gallery-goers, including a nice couple, Heather and her partner, Eric. Heather was wearing a really pretty purple gradient dress while Eric had a blazer with a custom-made purple shirt underneath that had the Starchild makeup on it. They were pretty invested, especially Eric, though they’d done these events before. It was cute how Heather would come back over and say “I think he’s bought another one….” (Heather also was trying to ensure there would be a non-meat option at the dinner for Eric due to Lent.)
I noticed that every so often someone from the gallery would open a door at the back (near the Sharpie table), say something, and then shut it, so I was pretty sure that Paul was right behind there, which terrified me. But then he just suddenly appeared only a couple feet from us, which was more terrifying (to me) and I sort of immediately tried not to look his way for fear of– aw, geez, I don’t know; I have a lot of feelings.
“Who’re you here to see?” he said, and the small crowd (myself included) immediately answered back with “Paul!!”
He was smiling– he was smiling a lot. I have encountered Paul prior on Kruises and I’d honestly never seen him look nearly that happy at those. Maybe it’s because he’s really a mermaid and is really bitter every time KISS goes out to sea, but honestly, it’s probably mostly because he gets seasick and getting stuck on a ship for five days with a couple thousand rabid fans is probably not his idea of a good time.
Dinner with about 20-30 rabid fans apparently was right up his alley, though!
We had been told prior to Paul’s arrival that we were third in line for him. I had brought Mandate but this was more something I’d feel out– I’d said to Cynthia way beforehand that if it didn’t get signed/didn’t feel right to try to get signed, that was fine because after all, I was there as a plus-one. I will honestly admit that seeing him look like he felt that good made me feel like maybe the magazine would ruin his demeanor– anyway, while we could’ve watched any and all of the other meet and greets, I really wanted to let everyone else have their space/time– I did not want to be creeping around trying to get extra shots of him or anything.
I was also just extremely nervous. I think we both were!
We were called up around maybe 7:10 or 7:15. I wanted to make sure I didn’t cut into Cynthia’s time and also make sure I was not weird, either. Paul was great. He immediately complimented Cynthia’s star dress, which she said she’d worn in his honor and curtsied very cutely. She introduced herself and shook his hand; then I introduced myself and shook his hand, and then she talked to him about seeing the last MSG show and about Evan being there and how cool that was (to have him opening for KISS’ last show); he said it wouldn’t be the last time (for Evan). He said something about how MSG was special (paraphrase) or that it was a special time, something like that.
Then he said he guessed it was time to take some pictures– they brought out first the Starchild picture, took a picture of us (one of my feet was shaking by this point so I didn’t stand too close to him), and then he said to the photographer, “I blinked” (he did not) and said quietly to Cynthia, “You get two.”
Next was the Gene picture. Cynthia said she liked the crystals on it and he said that they were Swarovski and that they were hard to put on or took a long time to do, something along those lines. Once the photos were over, he wrote her dedication (“Cynthia, Make life a work of art, Paul Stanley”) on a black sheet of paper– I noticed as he was writing it that he went back to fix one of the letters) and Cynthia seized the chance to ask him to sign her copy of his autobiography. He was really quick about it– “Yeah, I’ll sign that,” and immediately signed the front cover. (I told Cynthia afterwards that of course he signed the front– it had his face on it; he couldn’t help himself!) As either this or the paper-signing was going on, the photographer handed me Cynthia’s phone back and I was so dumbstruck by everything that I just kind of looked at the phone in sheer confusion for a second or two– I think a part of me somehow thought there was something he wanted me to do with it, when in actuality he was just giving it back! He said he’d see us soon and Cynthia corrected that we’d see him at dinner.
“Three points,” I said as we exited (to the main area of the gallery). (I don’t usually give him any points. I have a lot of conflicting feelings about Paul, but had promised Cynthia I would not say anything disparaging about him during the duration of our time together.) We were both in a state of giddiness mixed with that feeling of it being all over mixed with anticipation. It was really the sort of feeling I’ve only had at meet and greets, but the night wasn’t over. We stuck around the gallery, still talking to other KISS fans (one guy had the most amazing KISS shoes with the RARO cover art on them that either he or his boyfriend had painted, can’t remember– he said that Paul wanted them and he wouldn’t let him have them!). Heather said that Eric had moved his timeslot down to the very end, but there were people that came in way later than everyone else, so I’m not sure if he actually got the last timeslot or not. And as we were waiting, we got another meet and greet.
This one was not so good and it was my fault.
This one was Doc McGhee’s would-be meet and greet.
I had met Doc on a couple occasions, the last one being most memorable even if we didn’t speak. I had a very good seat at the next-to-last MSG concert and as Doc walked down to his own seat before the show started (or possibly a song or so in– might’ve been as I was standing up!) he reached over and quickly pressed something into my hand: I opened my hand and found it was a guitar pick (I couldn’t see whose it was at that point), and immediately closed my hand and held onto it for dear life for the next two hours, only sticking it in my purse when I felt certain I wouldn’t lose it. It’s a (worn) Paul pick– a good omen.
Anyway, Doc just wandered in the main entrance, as Doc is wont to, and spoke to a couple people. Doc not being anywhere near as intimidating as Paul, I told Cynthia, “I’m gonna say hi to Doc” and walked over to him.
“Hey, Doc! You gave me a pick at Madison Square Garden!”
“I did!” (I don’t think he remembered. Maybe he did.)
“Thank you!” and I shook his hand.
Then he stood there. And stood there. He thought I had more to say to him or that I’d ask him for a selfie. He did not expect that that was all I had to say to him.
Doc slunk off into the shadows of the art gallery. Sorry, Doc.
Around about 9:30 or so was the dinner. We were seated and then Paul walked in, giving a couple fistbumps on the way to our table. There were three tables, each with 10 or less people there, and he’d be seated at the middle for each. We were first, so we ate Caesar salad and a charcuterie board full of appetizers (salami, cheese, those little stick things, etc.) with Paul. Paul was catty-corner to me which was insanely intimidating. He looked me in the eye twice that I was aware of (without saying anything) and I just dove into the salami like a girl that got stood up for senior prom devouring the refreshment table. My nerves were killing me. Paul still looked… intimidating. I was riddled with the wounds of past experiences and the knowledge that I could say absolutely nothing to him that he had not heard before. I couldn’t think. I could only mindlessly eat and wince as Cynthia excitedly kicked me under the table when Paul began to eat himself. It was pretty funny, because the first couple times she kicked me, I thought that there was something she wanted me to say to Paul, but she just wanted to point out that he was eating!
I ran out of salami and the waiter refilled my glass of water (I didn’t order any alcohol) about four times while I tried not to pay too much attention to Paul Stanley being that close to me. That is to say, I was paying attention, but trying not to be a creep. He was talking to a dark-haired lady sitting next to him and due to how loud it was in the restaurant, I could hear less than half of what he was saying (and only because I was straining) and basically none of what she said (he did say something about Soul Station, but as Cynthia said, we heard entirely different things regarding that particular venture, which says a lot for the amount of noise in the restaurant!). After a point, he looked over our side of the table with an expression that was a bit “well?” i.e. “you can talk to me” without actually coming out and saying it. He was pretty well aware that nobody on our side had really said anything to him as he consumed Caesar salad, various cheeses, etc. at our table, and he did want to give everyone the opportunity. I was, apparently, incapable of taking said opportunity.
Enter Patrick, who was sitting directly across from me/on the other side of Paul and whom (along with his wife, Nicole, sitting next to him) Cynthia and I had been talking with from the time we got seated on. He had made small talk with us on the typical topic (KISS) and the two of them had been collecting Paul’s artwork since he started around ‘08 or so– this wasn’t their first rodeo. Patrick had a loud voice that carried well. Patrick did something that he really didn’t have to do at all, that I dearly appreciated– after talking briefly to Paul himself, he gave me the floor.
“I think you need to talk to your youngest fan (at the table).”
Paul looked at me again. I did not die.
“I’m not all that young…”
I can’t remember if Paul actually asked me how old I was or not, but I said I was thirty-four. Paul said “what?” (he didn’t hear me). I held up my fingers in a 3 and a 4. Paul did not understand. (I cannot overstate how hard it was to hear in that restaurant.) Finally, I got my volume up loud enough. “I’m thirty-four!”
I want to say he looked surprised, but that might be wishful thinking. I’m of mixed Asian and white descent and am very short and small. Anyway, he responded with, “I have shoes older than you.”
My incredibly brilliant response was “I know. … My mom’s your age so it’s fine.” (What’s fine? His 35+ year old shoes?) Paul found this witty repartee hard to answer. Probably because he likely couldn’t hear it.
Patrick made an additional extremely kind effort just a second later. I think he must’ve known how much I wanted to say something and how paralyzed/starstruck I had ended up. It was exceptionally nice– he could’ve monopolized Paul easily, and he chose not to. He didn’t have to go out of his way like that.
“She’s been on the Kruises!”
“Oh?”
“Y-yeah I’ve been on the last three (technically four, I did both the back to back Kruises)--” Inspiration. Stupid inspiration. “I was the one that asked you– no, actually I asked Gene– about Dark Shadows.”
Great, now Mr. Paul Stanley thinks I have an undying fascination with Dark Shadows. Okay, I do, but my life’s goal definitely wasn’t to ask him about that at dinner.
“I remember that (show). Barnabus…. It came on in the afternoons. (I think he said he watched it. … So did almost every baby boomer in the mid/late-sixties)” He actually looked like he might’ve been contemplating the show, but he might’ve actually been contemplating whether the salad he spilt on his lap made a stain on his pants; I don’t really know.
Patrick is the true hero of this entire story. If Paul got three points, Patrick gets thirty. Patrick somehow kept introducing the stuff I had just told him to Paul (i.e. my first KISS record was “Rock and Roll Over,” and said something about “Hard Luck Woman”) and I manage to spill several things I am not sure that Paul heard at all (because I could barely hear myself) including (quickly) that I had only gotten my mom to come with me to a KISS show during EOTR, and that when she finally did she’d wished she’d gone to see them sooner. Paul was looking at us, nodding, and was trying to follow the general convo but honestly, if I was only getting a little over half of what Paul said, he was getting a fourth of what I said in general, best case scenario. I don’t fault him. Cynthia told him something about Phantom of the Park, but I could barely understand her!
Probably a couple minutes after that, he went to the next table for the main course (he spent roughly half an hour at our table). He waved as he left and we remained with a surprisingly good vantage spot to see the back of Paul’s head and occasionally his profile. Also his phone, which he never got out at our table but did get out for the main course’s. It has a pink case.
We saw him move to the final table– I think he may not have gotten dessert, but I could be wrong there. (I had veal parmesan as a main course and split tiramisu with Cynthia. I only had about four bites of the veal due to having eaten every piece of salami on our charcuterie board, but it was pretty good. The tiramisu was also great.) After that, he left, but he waved as he went and he still looked happy. That meant a good bit to me. I gripe about Paul a lot but I do want him to be happy. I want them all to be happy.
Cynthia thanked the art gallery director (not sure of his title) prior to us leaving the restaurant and we were told she could pick up her painting tomorrow morning at ten. It was very late at night at that point– not sure when we got back to our hotel, but I do know we were talking until two about everything that had transpired and the whole rest of the weekend was filled with talk of Paul.
The verdict: Very good event. Paul was sweet, engaged and definitely wanted to be here. The only real negative I have is how loud that restaurant was! It was something else to be that close to him– I had tempered my expectations due to my own cynicism and wariness, but he was great. Really incredible time that I’m going to remember.
Paul, if I see you again, I promise not to bother you about Dark Shadows.
We’ll move on to Bonanza or Match Game or something.
