Talking to people who don't engage in fandom is an odd experience.

Actually, one redditor (u/Routine_Bumblebee451) pointed this out! Keefe usually uses gendered pronouns for the humans he meets, but there's one librarian who he uses exclusively they/them pronouns for, which could mean that they're gender non-conforming.
