It is possible to interact with people whom share opposing views and no this is not about pineapple on pizza. In fact, it is imperative that you learn how to be civil with some people who you may find difficult to agree with.
At work, Youngin would often tell me that the guy that trained him (Ginger) was a misogynist. I had never met Ginger, and I had very little to say on this matter. But I would ask Youngin some questions about him because I like to know the other seasonal workers a little. I ask about Ginger- first words from Youngin's mouth 'he's a misogynist.'
I asked him why he thought that. (There are many misogynists at this location, as someone that is woman-shaped I see it often, I am comparing notes.)
"We were on our way to a location and a driver was going really slowly. When he got around her he said 'fucking women drivers.' Like he was going out of his way to prove that the driver was a woman."
The last month or so, Youngin worked exclusively with me because I knew that it was a matter of time before he said something that pissed off one of the guys. He was not going to get along with people here, it just wasn't happening.
When he left, everyone wanted to know what he was like to work with. And I finally got to have a conversation with Ginger.
"I'd like to ask you something a little strange- he said that on his first day there was an issue with a driver going slowly. Can you tell me about that?"
"Oh yeah! She was going super slow and when I got around her I said 'yup- little old lady driving.' And he was like 'what's that supposed to mean?' And I just kind of dropped it, but I hear he was saying I was a misogynist over it?"
So I give Youngin some grace because he's young, he's got a social bubble that's very liberal, he has not met very many people that weren't part of that kind of scene. But he often talked about how every person here has said something that pissed him off and he seemed really surprised that I (woman-shaped queer liberal) would be okay working with all these sexist homophobes.
And I give grace to Ginger because he had no reason to think that his words would be interpreted like that. What he was saying was normal to him. This is... somewhat the culture of landscaping jobs. And its not even close to the worst thing I've heard out of these dudes mouths. (Literally had one of the dudes comment that he would like to 'motorboat' one of the pedestrians.)
It was weird for Youngin to carry that with him for the whole two months that he worked here, over a very... small comment.
Every single person I've worked with here has said something that has given me pause and I tuck it away to rant about later and then I let it go. If it gets out of hand, I talk to one of the bosses about it. I know how to contact HR. I came into this place knowing that I was going to disagree politically with most of the people that I work with because I'm coming in to a culture that is fundamentally different from my own.
If I am being frank, I find the overt bigotry somewhat better than the corporate bullshit of 'we value your contributions, but won't be granting your accommodations request out of fairness to other workers' or the glass cliff or literally being fired for my sexual orientation but phrased with 'oh you just weren't a good fit for the culture here.' I at least know what I'm getting into when I come to work. I know what not to talk about. Last time I thought I was safe to talk about something queer with my boss she blindsided me with some transphobic garbage.
Its admirable to stick up for the marginalized people in your life, but part of changing minds is knowing the time and the place to comment. I think I've changed more minds at this warehouse by being a visibly out lesbian at work than I have by making carefully crafted speeches.
That is fine. It is fine to disagree. Sometimes you have to work with racists, homophobes, and assholes. That is part of being an adult. You talk about things like... sports or TV or weather or some cool bug you saw. Finding common ground with people who are different from you in many ways is an important part of socialization and it sucks to think you have anything in common with a jackass but look- you're spending 7-ish hours with these people and at some point some of them are going to say stupid shit. You are going to say stupid shit also. I have said my fair share of stupid shit. Deal with the fact that you're all stupid shits.
And for fuck's sake, wear your hardhat.

After the 2016 election I was frustrated and exhausted and deeply, deeply sad. I literally cried. The four years that followed were extremely stressful. But, notably, I didn’t hate the people who chose not to vote for Clinton. I’d been in their shoes in 2004, after all. And Trump was technically an unknown - we didn’t know for SURE how bad his presidency would be.
We know now.
Now, if you are a leftist who intentionally didn’t vote for Harris, I genuinely hate you. I hate you as a person who was willing to throw my safety under a fucking bus. I hate you for being sexist, homophobic, ableist, transphobic, xenophobic, racist, Islamophobic, antisemitic, etc.
You chose fascism. You knew what was at stake, and you intentionally let the fascist win.
I hate you more than I hate the people who voted for Trump. At least they’re honest. At least they admit to themselves they hate women, and Mexicans, and queer people. But you, the lazy leftist, you can’t admit you’re a bigot.
Any action or non-action that you took that resulted in Trump being elected means you consented to that outcome.
There are MULTIPLE news articles and political analysis talking about the fact that the Democratic Party will move right as a result of this loss. Of course they will. The people who bothered to vote chose Trump. He’s as far right as you can get. The people who didn’t vote obviously didn’t care about the outcome, and thus do not matter. The Democrats will not try to win back your vote - they will just move right. They will try to win the votes of right-wing “moderates”. Leftism is clearly not what this country wanted.
So fuck you. Fuck you. I hate you. You are worse than Trump and his voters. You’re a lazy, entitled bigot, and I hope the next four years destroy your fucking life. Maybe you’ll fucking listen four years from now - if we’re allowed to vote in a free election ever again in this country. To quote Trump, your hero:
“You’ll never have to vote again”.

I just love that our little thoughts and ideas of what would happen this season on 911 were all so much better than what actually happened. I mean, our spec for the first half was all like:
bobby and athena deal with the aftermath of losing their home
maybe bobby contemplates becoming chief, or athena thinks seriously about retirement and what that would mean.
buck finally moves out of the loft and has an adult relationship where they work through their problems instead of running from them or making irrational decisions.
eddie works on his issues, making christopher his top priority.
hen and karen struggle with mara not being in their home, causing tension between them and maddie and chimney.
ortiz's grief is properly addressed and discussed and she is finally faced with the truth about her son.
gerrard is his usual homophobic, sexist, racist self. he causes tension within the 118, and possibly with tommy.
chimney and maddie contemplate adoption, or think about becoming pregnant again after properly discussing her ppd.
and then you have whatever the fuck was happening in the actual writers room, like:
buck baby boy/peter pan/never grow up
eddie dance in underwear. all healed. Texas whee!
who are bobby and athena?
maddie exit call center? only for pregnant! which is surprise of course!
what's a chimney?
hen and karen only gays allowed and always kid problems!
fuck tommy
gerrard silly old man!
Make sure main focus is on BRAD. everything should be BRAD. we must worship BRAD. Six episodes for BRAD. BRAD is our hero. BRAD is love. BRAD is life. Everyone is going to be fucking obsessed with BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!

In one private chat group conversation, a Mountie was accused of saying a new female employee "was overweight and insinuating that the shape of her vagina was visible through her clothing."
In another, a second RCMP officer allegedly bragged about "Tasering unarmed Black people" and called a sexual assault investigation "stupid" — drawing comments from other members of the online group who "made fun of the victim" and said, "she's a dumb Mexican c--t."
An investigator with the RCMP's professional standards unit detailed those allegations and many more in a search warrant sworn to obtain evidence now being used to call for the firing of three Coquitlam Mounties for violating the force's code of conduct.
The CBC has obtained a copy of the search warrant — which recounts behaviour which led the officer who sparked the investigation to complain to RCMP brass about what he saw as "atrocious" and "racist and horrible" activity in a private group operating on the Signal messaging app.
Full article
Tagging: @allthecanadianpolitics
More from this article below the cut, because I think it's important to understand just how much fucked up shit they were saying:
(tw misogyny, domestic violence, racial profiling, anti-Indigenous racism, racism)
The documents reveal that investigators also reviewed 600,000 messages posted to the RCMP's internal mobile data chat logs — finding evidence of "frequently offensive" usage by the three officers facing termination of "homophobic and racist slurs."
"The reviewers had identified a variety of comments that were 'chauvinist in nature, with a strong air of superiority, and include flippant or insulting remarks about clients (including objectifying women), supervisors, colleagues, policy and the RCMP as a whole,'" the warrant says.
Code of conduct hearings against Const. Philip Dick, Const. Ian Solven and Const. Mersad Mesbah had been slated to begin in Surrey this week but have been adjourned until March of next year. All three officers have been suspended since June 2021.
Although Dick, Solven and Mesbah appear to be the only Mounties currently facing code-of-conduct hearings, the court documents say seven other officers were also part of the private chat group — including two supervisors.
Among the details contained in the search warrant are allegations one of the officers facing discipline joked about a domestic violence victim, calling the victim "a dumb f--king bitch, should've worn a mouth guard."
The whistleblower — Const. Sam Sodhi — claimed that outside of the private chat group, members of the group also "belittled Indigenous people, talking about how they were 'stupid' or 'drunk' and saying they have 'unfortunate bodies' and all have fetal alcohol syndrome."
"They would say, 'We're not going to the reserve,'" the search warrant claims Sodhi told investigators.
"We're not going there because we're not going to help those people."
According to the court documents, Sodhi was posted to Coquitlam in 2019.
"As part of that process, he wrote a letter about wanting to work in an urban centre and help at-risk youth that didn't have role models," the warrant claims.
But Sodhi claimed that on his second day at work, Dick — his trainer — asked him: "Are you a cool brown guy, or are you a Surrey brown guy? Because in that letter, you're whiny, like, 'Ooh, I want to help brown people.'"
Sodhi claimed there were two chat groups for members of the Coquitlam detachment assigned to Port Coquitlam — one for all members of the watch and a second private group that began on WhatsApp but then moved to Signal. He said he was told once he was "worthy" of the private chat group, "we'll add you to it."
The officer claimed he was admitted to the private chat group in March 2021 but left after a few days because of the "constant negativity." He said he was then accused of "not being a team member" and encouraged to return.
According to the search warrant, Sodhi complained to his superiors in May 2021, and a chief superintendent mandated an investigation into five Mounties — including a corporal who was accused of failing to take measures to prevent misconduct.
The probe initially focused on text communications between the RCMP's own laptops — known as Mobile Data Terminals. Investigators reviewed messages between the five men from January 2019 until May 2021.
"When members of the [Signal] chat group realized there was an investigation, they opined that the investigation was probably about 'MDT chats' ... since the private chat group was kept 'amongst the trusted' and 'there's no way this got out,'" the warrant says.
Examples cited from the RCMP computers include statements like, "Why do brown guys have unusually high pitched voices." "As an idiot woman would say ... 'toxic,'" and, "I just racially profile pulled over a car."
A review of the chat logs also allegedly found the three officers facing termination "appeared to use 'goldfish' as a slur for Asian people."
"For example, they talked about how 'goldfish' have 'bulging eyes' that 'can't see anything,' how a Korean church in the detachment was a 'goldfish church' and how 'goldfish' were bad drivers (a common Asian stereotype)," the warrant says.

With Gerrard coming in as the captain, I was wondering if you could write an Eddie Diaz x paramedic reader imagine where Gerrard is throwing the reader sexist and misogynistic shade, maybe borderline slut shaming her for having the men of the team wrapped around her fingers because they are all family and love the reader and are a little protective of her because she is the youngest member of the team. Eddie steps in between Gerrard and the reader protecting his girl and a little after fluff of him comforting the reader.
Eddie Diaz x fem!reader
word count: 1.5k
cw: Gerrard makes a sexist comment
You sat with the rest of the 118 at the table in the firehouse and you could practically hear all of their hearts racing as you all awaited your new captain’s arrival. You hadn’t had the displeasure of meeting Gerrard beforehand, but according to Hen and Chimney, the guy was a real piece of work. He didn’t seem to like anyone who wasn’t a straight white man and you were ready to stand up for anyone whoever you had to.
Eddie turned to you as he sipped on his coffee, not even having to ask what was going through your head. He knew that you could hold your own just fine, but he knew that he couldn’t just let Gerrard treat you like shit if he had something to say. Eddie was normally very respectful to whoever was in charge, but when it came to the people he loved, he couldn’t just stand by and watch.
He was more afraid though, of what you were going to do if you were a target. You may have been the youngest of the team and everyone may have been protective of you for exactly that reason, but that didn’t mean that you couldn’t hold your own. Eddie had seen you punch men for being too handsy with you at the bar and he knew that if it came down to it, you’d have no problem hitting Gerrard as well.
Feeling his eyes on you, you turned to Eddie, putting on a warm smile. You could see that crease between his eyebrows that signified that it was thinking hard. Thinking hard about you. He was always worrying about you even though you kept telling him that he didn’t have to. Even though you secretly liked it.
“Don’t worry, Diaz,” you gave his cheek a light pat. “I’ll be on my best behavior.” He gave you a look in return that you knew all too well. The one that told you that he didn’t believe you in the slightest. You rested your hands on his cheeks and pulled his face to yours, pressing your lips to his in a brief kiss.
You heard someone clear their throat from behind you and noticed that everyone was standing for their chairs, looking like they just saw a ghost. You turned to where they were giving their attention and a man was standing right behind yours and Eddie’s seats, staring down at you with a skeptical look.
“So sorry, sir!” Eddie apologized, standing from the table, pulling you up with him. “I’m Edmundo,” he said in a panic. He almost never introduced himself with his full first name, but Gerrard made him nervous.
More nervous than he’d ever admit. Bobby was someone that Eddie had gotten really comfortable around and now that he was no longer the captain, he was having to start at square one.
You reached for his hand and gave him a squeeze, knowing that you were going to speak for the both of you, but that didn’t bother you. You would have done anything for Eddie, especially if I was standing up to a racist, homophobic man. It didn’t matter if he was your boss no one was going to treat your family like shit. Especially not Gerrard.
“I’m y/n,” you put your hand out to shake and Gerrard just looked at it then back up at you, not even bothering to pull his hands out from behind his back. Well, that was definitely off to a great start.
Gerrard looked around the station, his eyes locking onto every single person, some he recognized, but most he didn’t. He knew Chimney and Hen, but the rest were a total mystery, a big fat question mark and that concerned him.
Nonetheless, he was going to make you all fall in line. He knew how Bobby worked and there was absolutely not going to be any funny business anymore. Gerrard thought Bobby let his emotions get in the way by forming bonds with his employees. And there was absolutely no way he was doing that. You all were going to treat him with nothing but respect.
“I am your captain, Vincent Gerrard and I’m just going to start off by saying that I am not here to be your friend.” Well, that much was obvious. “I am here to be your captain and your captain only. If you’re looking for a shoulder to cry on or a hug when a call is particularly difficult, you can go to Captain Nash.”
This man has barely said anything and you were already starting to hate him. You had heard a lot about the guy from others in the department and now you were really seeing his true colors. How was he actually worse than what Chim and Hen had described?
You wanted to say something but then remembered your promise to Eddie. So, you bit your tongue and squeezed Eddie’s hand that you were still holding instead. You weren’t even aware that you were hurting him until you heard him wince and immediately let go. You turned to him, watching him rub his hand as he listened to whatever Gerrard was saying. You didn’t want to hear what he was saying, though. You didn’t give a single fuck.
You stepped closer to Eddie and took his hand on yours, pressing a kiss to the skin, mumbling and apology as you did so. Gerrard’s speech was cut off as he stared at the two of you giggling. Yeah, he was going to have to nip that in the bud as soon as possible.
“Are you two together?” He asked and you both turned to look at him.
“Yes,” you responded, already not liking where the conversation was going.
“Then you should probably know that romantic relationships between two firefighters in the same firehouse is forbidden.” He seemed a little too happy to have been relaying that information to you.
“Says who?” You asked, stepping forward and Eddie had to pull you back. He wasn’t going to let you get in even more trouble for punching Gerrard like he knew you really wanted to.
“The state of California,” Gerrard replied, crossing his arms over his chest, speaking in a “that’s final” kind of tone. The two of you had been together for months and no one had said anything, not even Bobby. No, he didn’t follow all of the rules, but that was definitely one that he would have.
“And what would happen if we don’t break up?” You asked, crossing your own arms over your chest.
“Then I’d have choice but to transfer one or both of you.”
“Well I’d transfer first because working under you is already proving to be hell.” Everyone froze when the words left your mouth. They all had their own thoughts about Gerrard, but none of them seemed to want to stand up to him. None of them except for you, of course.
“Well that’s not very nice is it?” He replied. “I bet you don’t talk to Captain Nash like that, do you?”
“No, I don’t. But Captain Nash isn’t a dick.” You heard gasps from the rest of the 118 and immediately regretted what you had said. Your opinion still stood, but maybe you should have said it differently. You were so used to speaking your mind that you weren’t even thinking about the fact that the man was your captain.
“I see,” Gerrard nodded like he had everything figured out. “Considering that nobody has corrected you for your very obvious error, I’m going to assume that you’re very well liked here.” Everyone did like you, but you wouldn’t have said that you were popular. And the other were quick to correct you when you did something they didn’t agree with, but you assumed that they were just too stunned to say anything.
“Well-“
“That wasn’t a question. It’s very clear. You seem to be popular, clearly with the opposite sex,” he referred to Eddie who was already angry for how you were being spoken to, but it was as if something had broken in him. Now he was seeing red.
No one talked to his girl like that. Not even his boss. Sure, Eddie could be a kissass sometimes, but not right now. He was going to stand up for you no matter how much it scared him. You were his girlfriend and clearly Gerrard was in the wrong. Sure, maybe what you had said was out of line, but he had started it. At that point, you were just defending yourself.
Eddie stood in front of you, trying to put some space between you and the new captain, pushing you further behind himself so he could act as a metaphorical shield. He stared Gerrard down, daring him to say something as rude as the things he had said to you.
“You may have been able to get away with speaking to your employees like that a few years ago,” Eddie spoke. “But that ends now. As long as I’m here, you will treat us with respect, but yours? That has to be earned. Another out of line comment and I won’t hesitate to speak to the higher ups about your inappropriate behavior.”
Gerrard was silent after that. He had never been rendered speechless like that and not one of his employees had been so bold as to have spoken like that to his face. He had scared them, made them want to earn his respect.
You all watch him head to the office and close the door behind him. As soon as he was out of earshot, the rest of the 118 rushed over to the two of you as Eddie pulled you into his arms. They all pat him on the back, congratulating him for what he had done. Who would have thought that it would have been Eddie to be the one to stand up to Gerrard. He supposed that it was because of you. He’d do anything for his girl.

Some observations and reflections on Tommy Kinard's growth as a character:
• Although Tommy didn't give Hen the acknowledgment she deserved in the beginning of 'Hen Begins,' we see how he later personally appreciates her for being a great firefighter. (I also totally believe that one of the firefighters who anonymously complained to the department about Captain Gerrard's sexist/racist/homophobic mistreatment of Hen had to have been Tommy.)
• Tommy was also dismissive of Chimney at the beginning of 'Chimney Begins,' but he later started admiring Chimney's work and also expressed heartfelt gratitude to him for saving his life, becoming a reliable friend that Chimney could count on for help in future emergencies (twice so far).
So, the way I see it, at first Tommy was a guy who was scared to question the status quo because he was secretly battling his own internal demons, but he slowly and gradually learnt to support and stand up for what was right and just. And this character development is so incredibly beautiful and significant, and deserves to be spoken more about!
It shows how people can sometimes have biases and misconceptions because of the environment in which they are raised, but by being open to unlearn and relearn is how they can grow and make more room for love, empathy, kindness, and positivity in their lives, and sometimes even find the path towards self-discovery. Tommy Kinard did just that, and when he let go of his biases towards others is when he finally became free of all the demons inside him, which is when he also started to love and accept himself for who he was, eventually gathering the courage to believe that maybe, there are good people out there who would support and love him for living in his reality and being the man he truly is. And look where that got him now! 🥰❤
Tommy Kinard, you are precious! ✨

of course trump fucking won. this entire country is fucked and always has been. i went to his instagram to see if him or harris have posted anything and im absolutely fucking disgusted. ive never seen anything more hypocritically racist, sexist, homophobic, and literally discriminating against everything besides white heteronormative christians. but unfortunately there are just as many disgusting people in the world who see themselves in him and are going to vote for him. and they did vote for him. look where that got us. and of course he won because those people voted for him, those people who want to take away human rights. why would a woman win in a country that's sexist?? why would someone of color win in a country that's racist?? and why especially would a black woman who actually cares about people win in a country full of racist, sexist assholes?? ive literally never felt more hopeless than right now. we survived the last times he was president, but his plans for this time are far worse.
if you voted for trump, you voted for a man who only cares about himself. he doesnt give two shits about anyone, republican or not. you elected a homophobe into office. oh, great, you're also homophobic? then think about this. you elected a racist into office. you elected an ableist into office. YOU ELECTED A RAPIST INTO OFFICE. if you dont see the problem with that, there is something seriously wrong with you. if you voted for trump, there is something seriously wrong with you. as a teenage girl who is going to graduate before the next election, youre giving me this absolutely disguisting horrible piece of shit that dares to call himself a human being to deal with. i am genuinly preparing myself to leave the country after i graduate. it was a joke at first, but its nowhere near funny now. if i could leave right now, at this exact moment, i would. i am actually crying right now because i know that there are other people, people who are my friends, who are far more affected by this than i am. you had your vote, and you chose use it to ruin the lives of everyone.
if you voted for trump, have fun telling your daughter, your sister, your girlfriend, your best friend, your niece, your cousin, your mother, everyone, that you voted to take away their bodily freedoms. have fun at the hospital as your ten year old daughter gives birth to her rapist's baby, potentially dying doing so, because you voted away her abortion rights. have fun receiving a text from your nephew telling you that he is hiding from an active shooter because you voted for a vice president who stands behind glass while preaching that school shootings are "a fact of life." have fun watching your best friend, who you didn't even know was transgender because no, you can't "always tell," get fired because you voted away their job security. have fun watching the world around you fall apart because you voted for a dictator, not a president.
send me more hate anon i dont give a fuck. words cannot express how upset i am right now. with everyone. if you voted for a third party or even didn't vote at all, you're just as much at fault. any vote not for harris was a vote for trump. and now trump has the votes. now trump is the president.
if you voted for trump, i would just like to say thank you. from the bottom of my heart, thank you for ruining my life.

Bro this whole discourse over who would be a republican/ a trumpie in the dc verse is so stupid imo bc we have so much canon info
Batfamily: none of them have been even vaguely conservative since the 90s, infact they’re all pretty far left with Bruce being the most center because he trusts one (1) cop. (Oooh but dick was a cop, yes as an infiltration tactic until he realized they were too corrupt -he was also like 19-20 during this time- to fix and canonically doesn’t work with them at all as a rule)
Bruce rebuilds his city pro bono like twice a year and single handedly funds like 80% of their social welfare, it’s also canon he refers goons to the nearest Wayne enterprise and gets them hired if Batman knows they’re just their bc they’re struggling
Arrows: NEVER INSULT OLIVER QUEEN IN MY FACE EVER AGAIN. This man is 50% a communist 50% Bernie sanders biggest fan depending on the media.
This man would never be a republican ignoring the arrowverse like it’s actually canon that Ollie won’t shut up about politics
Superfam: … the illegal alien who has to hide the fact he’s different from everyone else in a small town…. Hmmm maybe Kon is conservative if you’re blind, deaf and a little slow, Jon has a pink haired boyfriend and is besties with a middle eastern/south Asian kid actually so let’s not?
Clark Canonically hates the KKK you think he’d be part of the party whose candidate was endorsed by them??
Flashes: Barry Allen is a conservative, Wally west was when he was younger but he’s been pretty liberal since he became as adult, Wallace has never been conservative (TV Barry you will always be the most likeable Barry)
Lanterns: Hal Jordan is a Conservative, the rest are in fact not
Wonder Woman collective: Diana??? Donna??? Artemis?? Cassie??? None of the above don’t be dumb
Anyway it’s pretty hard to have a heroic character who doesn’t believe in social welfare? Since they’re running around saving people for free and 99% of them are anti killing. + having characters be sexist, racist and/or homophobic makes them less likable objectively and also narrows down the amount of stories you can tell.

unpopular opinion, i guess, but despite the fact that nicole claims to be a sociopath, i really don’t think she is. (that being said, she still isn’t a good person.)
throughout the game, she does express empathy and sympathy for characters like jecka, ari, or even jeffery, but will actively choose to ignore her wrong doings in order to peserve her own piece of mind- something that most teenagers do. in each of the endings, nicole will reflect on the actions she took to end up where she did. her reactions can range from denial to her own faults to a realization of what she really did.
though it’s a comedy game, so everything is incredibly exaggerated, nicole is clearly depressed and extremely suicidal. she’s addicted to drugs to distract herself from her own thoughts, which allows her to feel better, even if just temporarily. i think her numbness and recklessness probably come more from her disregard for her own life, rather than for a desire for entertainment. she also has no positive role models, as her brother is slobbish and lazy, and her mother is abusive and irresponsible.
nicole was implied to be a relatively normal person before the events of both games, having become popular in her other school once she became pretty. she also talks about what it felt like to be considered an outcast and to be left out. during the game’s opening, she says she used to be nice and and friendly to people, but she ends up changing her tune just before the events of the game begin, choosing to decide not to care about anyone but herself. she even explains this to her mom during one of the routes.
from what i gathered, her dad was a nice person who was constantly taken advantage of by people (including nicole’s mom), which led him to kill himself. nicole was probably traumatized from watching her father’s suicide, and decided after watching it happen (and having the only words on his suicide note being “nicole’s fault”) that being nice wasn’t worth it.
for example, after the whole school turns on her in the suicide ending, nicole describes how hopeless and miserable she felt. she says how she learned exactly what people wanted from her, which was sex more often than not. she spends the entire route being friendly to people (mostly boys) she doesn’t like for the sake of “being nice” and getting them to like her, only for it to blow up in her face because she didn’t want to sleep with them. she feels taken advantage of, just like her dad, which drives her to suicide.
regarding her apparent lack of empathy, she is said to feel sorry for what she did to ari, though she chooses to ignore it because guilt makes her feel bad. as jecka pointed out, ari didn’t really do anything wrong, which makes nicole feel upset because she knows she messed up. it’s clear that nicole has a morale code, though it’s a bit twisted. she hates people who are homophobic, racist, sexist, etc. (she makes a few odd comments throughout the game, but my point still stands). her lack of remorse comes to people like kyler, who nicole hates because he is a known rapist and misogynist.
as i said before, jecka, ari, and jeffery are probably the best examples of nicole feeling bad for others.
jecka is nicole’s best friend and the person she cares most about. a key moment in the game that shows this is when jecka gets mad at nicole and they temporarily end their friendship. after realizing she’s in the wrong, nicole goes to apologize by getting herself stuck with the counselor (a man she openly hates) all year so that jecka can smoke in peace again, which was something she’d previously complained about.
ari is important because i think she represents nicole’s own sexuality. while nicole is overly harsh and abusive towards her in one of the routes, in the other, she supports ari at first, telling her that even though coming out might seem tough, nobody cares and that most people would be fine with it. i personally believe nicole is gay herself (based on her respective interactions with jecka and emily) and i think that how she chooses to treat ari is based on how nicole feels about herself.
regarding jeffery, nicole probably sees a bit of herself in him. therefore, since nicole hates herself, i think it led her to immediately hate him too. (that’s not to say he isn’t weird and annoying, of course.) jeffery is the school loser that everyone either ignores or abuses. nicole says in the opening that she used to be that kid too. in jeffery’s deranged texts to nicole, he says a lot of the things that nicole had said herself. in one of the routes, nicole can choose to talk jeffery off of the ledge, which leads him not to kill himself nor shoot up the school. (i think jeffery has schizophrenia, so there’s that.)
but like i said, just because nicole isn’t exactly a sociopath doesn’t mean she’s not a bad person. she’s still pretty awful and makes dumb and harmful decisions. i think she’s lowkey a well written character that’s really funny, but has a moments that actual inspire reflection.
anyways, i wanna know what yall think. i could be wrong, and she really could be a genuine sociopath or have sociopathic tendencies, because as i understand, sociopaths are made, not born.

I have spent literally years trying to dissect how and why my proudly-self-labeled hippy grandparents slowly but surely turned more conservative and cruel. It took years to see that a lot of cruelty was present since the start. It took years more to see that a lot of that was inherited via genetics or trauma.
My grandfather was autistic, and my grandmother was also on the spectrum in a different area. They were both these things in a time where you were not allowed to be these things and be yourself. Where it was not recognized, never mind embraced. At all. My grandfather was a soft person inside a man’s man shell. He just wanted to paint watercolors. He was the golden boy of this siblings, though, and expectations were had. My grandmother was abused by both her parents while those parents were considered ‘pillars of the community’. She was not allowed to be anything herself, and constantly struggled with her own existence at the hands of controlling abusers. She became selfish, to the point of not even protecting her own children from her abusive parents. She’d get explosively angry over nothing, then pretend she was never angry. Both of them did. Blow ups that they’d gaslight you into believing wasn’t them, it was you. And then they’d mask so hard they’d have you believe they were 50 different people just to fit in with their piers.
So my grandfather would make racist jokes. And sexist jokes. And homophobic jokes. He’d say these things, but turn around and ‘support’ his bisexual daughter and her partners. My grandmother would co-opt whatever you were as her own and make you think that she was supportive. Any pain, oh but she had pain. Any grief, oh but she was grieving this. Oh, everyone is a little trans. Everyone is a little different. Everyone is a little special. No, not you actually. Just me.
And over the years, the masking turned into habits and beliefs. Their selfishness became the rule of law, and did not allow for as much kindness. Suddenly, you come to them as queer and it’s an illness. Suddenly, you’re told you were the problem, not the abusers. But it’s not sudden, actually, because they’d tricked themselves into believing the mask was real, and the people around them told them that these things were real and factual for a long time. And they’d tried to pretend they were still the same hippy parents from years ago who loved you all, and supported you unconditionally. But they’d pretended that, while slipping those jokes in and allowing someone who hurt them to hurt you.
So, no.
No, they didn’t so much ‘become conservative as they aged.’ They weren’t so much a ‘product of their times.’ They were full human beings, with the capacity for cruelty and gentleness at every stage of their lives. A lot of it was manipulated and shaped by the people around them. A lot of it was a front to keep them safe, to keep them feeling ‘normal’. A lot of it was already there, twisted together in the complexity that is human beings. They always had the capacity for cruelty, and they always had the capacity to love.
They were never just one or the other, never fully. They just aged, and hardened in the mold they’d shaped to keep them safe. Like children who do everything to hide their hurt, and like adults who stopped caring who they hurt to protect themselves.
That’s it. That’s the secret.

You know it's stuff like this why I partly can't join the owl house fandom. The fandom seems to persnickety about liking certain charactersand headcanons, especially as someone who has dealt with similar shit before in my other fandoms. Granted there are other reasons I hate the fandom, but this is the worst one. It kinda soured the show for me, granted I never cared for it, but they just worsening it for me.
At times like these, i think it's important to remember posts like this
Bigger fandoms, will always end up looking worse by comparison, it's inevitable unfortunately.
For me, this is also unfortunately nothing new, anyone whose been with me since the start knows that.
It was a decade ago, in another fandom, that i was harassed and accused of being homophobic, because i shipped some characters together that wasn't the popular same sex ship.
I shipped plenty of other same sex ships, heck, i considered the characters in question to be bisexual. But that did not stop me from being publicly mocked, harassed, and put on block lists.
I was underage at the time, this was my first fandom experience, and it also soured that fandom for me, even the show itself.
People go into these things, thinking they're protecting people, or helping others.
And on the surface, i could see how one would think that.
But you're really not, people are not that simple, and neither are what they enjoy or are drawn to.
I was a teenager having fun in my own little space, with a ship i knew was noncanon, and it wouldn't of taken much research to find out i had no issue with the lgbt community at all, but no, it was "You are erasing us, you only ship this because you hate gay people, you're a horrible human being and yada yada yada-"
now, a decade later, it's "You are ignoring the poc cast because you're racist, you only like this character and are invested in him because you believe in what he believes in, you're a racist and sexist being for enjoying him and yada yada-"
Look, people do this because they want to protect people who have been screwed for centuries, it's perfectly understandable to worry that people who think belos is a cool character could like him for the wrong reasons. But people who genuinely think this way are a minority, and will be way more outspoken about those beliefs, is the solution here really to go up to anyone who likes something you don't and ruin them without evidence? To accuse them all of horrible beliefs?
this entire belief system removes the possibility of many MANY other reasons people enjoy media, and is straight up jumping to conclusions that if someone doesn't fundamentally agree with what you think, they MUST be a bad person. No critical thinking, no trying to understand others, just straight up assuming things.
Which btw, ironically, is actually acting WAY more like belos then anything the artists doing wittober were actually doing. Even the idea people are making art about his childhood and therefore sympathizing with him falls apart because there have been just as much art about his crimes so far.
Belos is a villain in a cartoon, people have latched onto villain characters since the dawn of time, it's nothing new. If you're going to keep this train of thought going....is disney just bad for their villian brand? are people also horrible for similar reasons if they have a favorite disney villian?
This entire thought process can be applied anywhere if you try hard enough.
Which is the kinda thing that allows actual human beings to be genuinely hurt here.
like are people going to be hurt more because people make aus with belos, or are they going to be hurt more because people who make said aus are accused or being racist people worth scrutinizing?
This thought process also doesn't take into the account of the fact that the people who like belos, might also be lgbt or poc, which....a lot of them are from my experience.
You can't both preach the show's message of accepting people who are different from you, and then also try and justify harassing people because they fandom differently then you. Unless the wittebane people are actively spouting out racist and sexist stuff, they're not doing anything wrong by engaging in the parts of the fandom that interest them.
Not everyone will be drawn to the show for the same reasons, you always gotta remember that, everyone has different favorite characters, different ships, and different things that make them happy.
Fandom is meant to be fun, people make aus because they're fun, they want to play with the media they like and do new things with it.
I strongly doubt everyone who has made an au staring hunter, or belos, or who thinks the wittebanes are interesting, sat down and said "Man, i like this show, but there are too much minorities in it, i hate minorities, i should make an au removing them or draw the wittebanes because they are white".
as a fan of these characters myself, i like them, but don't care too deeply about the blights, other white popular characters. I feel that should imply my investment in them has a lot more to do with other aspects then race.
in fact this makes me wonder if the person complaining in the tags would have the same argument about aus staring eda or amity in the same vain, even though hunter eda and amity are all lgbt, and two are disabled.
If you are doing stuff like this, either don't engage with stuff that doesn't interest you, because it's really weird to be this obsessed with a part of the fandom you don't care about.
or maybe, actually try to understand why people like it, rather then assume it's for the wrong reasons.
just my thoughts.

The thing is that I’m far to the left of the Democratic Party. I’m so far to the left of the Democratic Party. I vote for them because I have no other options for keeping fascists out of power.
but left democrats and back benchers and American leftists (although there are very similar issues in other countries, such as the uk) need to take a fucking look at ourselves and recognize that left politics in the U.S. are unpopular and unpalatable. No matter how you slice it, they are unpopular at the national scale, and they are unpopular no matter who sells them but in ways which become even more hated when people of color, Jews, lgbt people, and women are the ones involved in selling them. We live in a country that is systemically racist, antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic, and sexist. We can live in a world in which left wing politics become more popular and I have to believe that. But we cannot ignore the fact that the average conservative voter does not vote Republican because he would rather vote for universal healthcare or college debt forgiveness. The Republican response to basic infrastructure has shown that again and again. No, Tim walz was not popular for providing tampons to working class teenagers in public schools. No, promises of student loan forgiveness have not been popular.
If this election was solely about the class rage of white working class man there would have been a national dick sucking of the white midwestern former public school geography teacher football coach and he would have destroyed the nyc billionaire. But there wasn’t. Because his ticket was tied to a Brown woman, and our country is very, very sexist and racist.
The democrats do not pander to their own Democratic base and they are further centrist than i would like- but you have to fucking acknowledge the reason that is, that America is so systemically fucking conservative that trump smeared Kamala Harris as a “Marxist” and people fucking bought it. You have to recognize that this is how the dems fight for votes so the entire country doesn’t go fucking conservative. You have to recognize that “deport all undocumented immigrants,” “ban abortion for rape victims,” and “climate change is a hoax and we shouldn’t waste money doing anything about it” are all common baseline positions among the American voting public. Harris did not loose their vote because she was offering too little socialism - she lost because in their eyes she was offering too much.
so this is for the Bernie bros and the backbenchers and everyone else. Shape the fuck up and hate conservatives more than democrats, and recognize what a minority we are in this country. Delusions of grandeur will do nothing to win it back.

Perhaps it was because he had taken too much. Or more likely Butcher gave him something laced since his body filtered out most drugs within minutes and he'd been feeling this way since he’d started yawning a couple hours earlier. His yawns started while watching dumb new century movies, one moment he was bitching to Hughie about how his generation relied too heavily on special effects instead of getting creative (like back in his day) the next he was getting asked when the last time he slept was. As if he was some toddler and not a grown fucking man who can occasionally yawn if he wants to damn it! Hughie might’ve been his “babysitter,” as Butcher titled it, when they were alone but he wasn’t a fuckin child for him to fuss over like some sniveling house wife.
“I’ve stayed awake for over a month before partying, kicking ass, and slinging pussy all while doing my damn job as a hero. Then I was asleep for decades because of Russian scum. This is nothing.” He growled at Hughie, the poor boy shaking like one of those fuckin rat dogs he use to see rich women carrying around at those mind numbing Vought galas. “I am not tired. And you'd be wise to stop assuming I was.”
Although if Hughie hadn't said something about it he probably would've put more thought into it. because… beyond just yawning he was feeling… uncharacteristically spacey, even though he really hadn't been awake long enough to excuse that. He hadn't been here for more than a week, right? Doesn't matter now. He was stubborn and would purposely not give it any more thought because Hughie was a cunt.
...that was until his eighth yawn of the day. It was like he was yawning all the time. He couldn't stop himself and at this point he wasn't even watching the movie let alone making his usual commentary. His mind was just focusing on fighting the yawns and the odd feeling in his mind. He couldn't remember a time he felt so unfocused like this. Even in his most fucked up state at the first Herogasm party he threw, he didnt feel this way.
It had gotten to the point that even Butcher had noticed once he had come back from his food run. However Butcher’s attention on him only fed into Ben’s theory that he’d been slipped something and they were just waiting for him to go down so they could do something to him. Maybe the food he’d brought just had more of whatever supe roofie was inside and they would use it to get a second dose in so they could drag him back to the Russians to be tortured again. Maybe they were working with the evil sons of bitches to turn him into this perfect weapon they wanted and this had all been a ruse to gain his trust.
“The fuck you lookin at?” He snapped out at Butcher but the man only raised his hands in surrender, not even putting up an argument which almost made him feel bad since he… had respect for the guy. He was a badass leader that did–albeit unintentionally–released him from his permanent cyro torture. Even if he was suspicious of him right now… He somewhat owed the man.
Also he was placating him with his favorite things. Drugs, trashy food, his own movies. Only things that would make his time better would be to not be spending it in this shithole hotel unless it was with a woman.
Or a few women.
Aged-like-wine women.
Maybe he was overreacting to this spacey-feeling bullshit.
He probably just needed to do a couple lines to get rid of the yawns and he would be good as new.
“Didn’t say nothin, mate. Calm yer pretty little ticker down.” Butcher responded, glancing down at his chest in warning, reminding them all what would happen if he didn’t get over whatever he was getting so defensive about. “Take some pills, take a nap fer all I care. Whatever keeps this buildin from shambles and our goals within sight.”
The nap line was really all he heard and it was definitely the worst thing to say. The bottle in his hand shattered between his fingers like it was nothing more than a breakaway and Hughie’s face drained of color in time with the beer that dripped down his arm.
Ben stood up his finger pointing at Butcher in a real warning, “Whatever the fuck you think you accomplished–whatever shit you roofied me with–it’s best you undo it right now before I turn your queer side piece into– into…” he couldnt even think of a clever threat. It's like his brain was completely malfunctioning leaving him to just angrily settle for a more embarrassingly simple correction. “Before I fucking kill him.”
The Brit raised his eyebrow as he had to take a second to actually will his mouth to hold back a sarcastic comment about the tongue trip, shockingly actually valuing their lives for once since he was so close to getting Homelander with Soldier Boy in his pocket. “A’right.. hold on now. I ain't got a clue whatcha accusing me of but we ‘aven't done it.” he closed his laptop softly, never taking his eyes off Ben the same way he would never take his eyes off a wild horse. “Why d’ya fink we roofied ya? Beyond the actual roofies yew requested, that is?”
His reaction made Ben second guess his theory again. He never second guessed himself like this. Even when he was wrong. And he sure as shit didn't share his feelings. Feelings were for pussies like Hughie. You didn't have feelings in war or at Vought. Yet…. he felt oddly compelled to answer Butcher’s question honestly and without more threats. He couldn't rationalize this strange compulsion other than maybe it was the way Butcher talked to him or managed to not be afraid of him. Or maybe it was because he was potentially slipped something–he still hadn’t ruled it out!
“I feel… wrong. My head ain't clear but everything I’ve taken should’ve worn off by now.” His hand dipped in the air like a physical indicator of his current lowering confidence and defenses which Butcher–in true Billy Butcher fashion–promptly took a shit on.
“Sounds like someone’s backed up. How boutcha go have a wank in the shower while we plug our ears and pretend we hadn’t noticed yer on edge?” Ben scoffed at the suggestion, his defenses rising back up. Butcher didn't get it. He didnt have blue balls, he had a fucked up head!
“No, you fuckin foreign– guy! ” this was really getting pathetic.. “I-it’s like… like–”
“Like PTSD…?” Hughie nervously piped up from where he was watching, still frozen to the couch. The other two men looked over at him and Ben opened his mouth to shut him down but hesitated. While he was actually kind of glad the little runt was taking him more seriously than Butcher had.. he also didn’t have an answer. He wanted to say no, I've seen shell shock, idiot. I don't have it! He wasn't really sure this time because he really didn't feel normal which was only making him feel more… antsy.
Picking up on his discomfort and hesitation, Butcher turned back towards Ben and watched him for a second, actually deciding to have a good look at him beyond his front of anger. He was tense but his body language was severely lacking its usual arrogant confidence. Like he wasn't comfortable within his own space right now. Once Butcher really looked, even his face, which normally lacked any expression beyond irritation, was practically screaming; I don’t know what’s going on! Someone fix it!
He’d seen that look more times than he could count in his life with his line of work but something about it reminded him more of a little kid than an adult in the middle of a PTSD episode. The look was similar to the one that made him call Hughie “kid” regardless of him being a full adult and insisting on it all the time.
He could see something in Ben right now that activated the part of his brain that had always taken care of Lenny as a kid.
The softer part of him that insisted he help the poor sod’s silent beg for help.
“Oi..kay, kid.” Butcher softened the gruffness in his tone and stood up from his seat at the table, snagging a bag of greasy fries and the frostie he had yet to dig into. “Let's get on then, yeah?” He slung an arm around Ben’s shoulder and led him back to the hotel bed in front of the TV he had long set up shop on.
Although still confused, Ben didn’t stop him. Instead following on autopilot while his mind still reeled with thought until his knees bumped against the mattress.
“No– I'm not tired. I told you I'm not tired–” had he told Butcher that or had he only yelled at Hughie today? “I’m not taking a damn nap–!” christ, he sounded like a whining child! Sleeping wouldn’t kill him for fuck’s sake! If the Russians hadn't figured that out after this many years surely they never would– unless they did. He didn't want to be tortured more– how long would it be before his mind broke for good? Before he died?
“No, y’ain’t so hush and stop yer worrying. Were jus’ gonna sit and eat the food I boughtcha before my money goes ta waste.” Ben looked surprised to have been effectively told to shut up and do what he's told but what he was most shocked about was the fact he didn't immediately get the desire to punch the shit out of him for having the audacity to do so. He just felt… odd. Like there were butterflies tying uncomfortable knots in his stomach. Like… it was almost nice to have a direction to go into so his thoughts would pause.
“Come on. Don’t make me wait. Fries ain’t neva last too long outside the frya.” Butcher pat his lower back, almost like he was a little kid getting encouraged forward and he listened. He crawled up onto the bed and sat in his spot looking at him with big eyes, clearly at a loss with the situation. He felt like he didn't know himself. This was a part of him he’d never experienced and he didn't know what to do, yet Butcher… seemed as at ease as ever. Like he’d dealt with a hundred men with nukes in their chests yelling at him.
Though he knew him longer than Ben did, even all Hughie could do was watch with the same odd mixture of shock and amazement when Butcher sat down beside the supe, tossed the fries between them, then changed the channel. No one had touched the remote since Ben had figured it out just enough to channel surf onto his own films. He had guarded that thing like a kid who found a new toy he didn't want to share.
“I.. was watching that.” Ben struggled to get out in a mumble that had never left his lips before.
“Won't spoil the ending for ya then, just say it ain't worth more than a prostitute that's got the clap.” Butcher casually informed him while he looked through the menu. The hotel, although shitty in every other aspect, actually had a Vought+ subscription, which begrudgingly had a pretty good selection. “Hughie, be a good lad for me an name a tolerable animation that aint Disney.”
“The Little Mer…maid..?” Hughie stuttered out, his brain automatically picking the last Disney movie he’d watched with him, too scared to really absorb the question.
“That’s Disney, Champ. Lookin fer somethin on Vought+”
“Oh. Right. Um..” He racked his brain for a moment trying not to mess this up and get his butt chewed by Soldier Boy later for choosing a movie he would hate sitting through. But the more he thought about everything the grumpy old man complained about when they were alone the less movies he could think of. In fact all he could think of was Ariel. Ariel.. Ariel, save me. Oh wait. “Isn't… isn't there a Disney princess section on Vought+ now?”
“Hn.. There is. Good thinkin.” Butcher cleared his throat a bit as he clicked on the movie then tossed the remote to reach for a fry, not paying attention to the way Ben was currently staring at him like he was an alien. “Redheaded broad it is.”
“Disney.. prin…cess? Like… the films for.. little brats..?” Ben slowly asked out, his voice not really feeling like his own with how insecure and… small it sounded. This all felt like a drug fueled dream. A really weird one, not one of the fun ones. Maybe he’d already fallen asleep and was back in some cyro-coma.
“Mmhm. Hughie likes em. Usually he leans more towards that lil boffin Belle over the glorified sushi princess but–”
“I like Ariel!” Hughie instantly defended but his cheeks went pink as he realized he meant to defend himself in a different way. Like one that might keep his reputation intact or keep himself from being relentlessly bullied by resident tough man, Soldier Boy. “I-I mean–” He gave Butcher an embarrassed, desperate look as he hissed out between his teeth a clear plea. “Butcher..! Come on..!”
Ben’s head swiveled between Hughie and Butcher feeling like he was missing out on something. He felt like that a lot recently since the world was so much different than it was back when he was last in it but this felt like he was out of the loop on something he should know.
“Why… why does Hughie like–” Before he could even finish his question, Butcher had slipped an ice cream dipped fry in his mouth, surprising him further. His reaction time was lacking, he hadn't even seen the man’s hand until it was too late. His senses were dulled. Could only imagine the foul shit his father would say if he saw him now.
“Film’s startin, kid, eat yer food.” Butcher spooned a mouthful of frostie into his own mouth with the grace expected of a grown man whose shirt was stained as much as it was and Ben watched him as he slowly followed instructions and chewed what had been given to him. His gaze flicked over to Hughie still trying to figure out what was going on but all Hughie was telling him was that he’d rather be swallowed alive by the couch than make eye contact with him.
The sound of water splashing alongside loud music on the tv stole his attention away from his less than stellar detective work and he watched for a few seconds as sailors began to sing. His brows furrowed and he turned to Butcher to protest and ask again about why the hell grown men would watch cartoons like this but the moment his mouth opened he was spoon fed some frostie. And while it was more careful than how the Brit had fed himself the action was aggravating. Ben looked at the Brit with an unhappy glare that probably looked more harmless than his usual happy expression if the rest of him looked as pathetic as he felt. But when he was given no attention from it he finally turned away to begrudgingly watch the stupid movie they insisted on making him watch instead of dealing with his problems.
Twenty minutes was all it took for Ben to be fully enraptured, his thought process having melted away with the colorful fish on the screen without his knowledge. Butcher had kept a casual eye on him after he’d realized he was dropping, mildly worried that the loose cannon might start to get anxious again if he broke out of his distraction. It was a little rockier at the start of the movie when he was still incredibly uneasy with the situation and unhappy with having been fed twice without permission; however Butcher was stupid and confident. An that’s what got ‘im this far in life, right?
So sue him if he let himself feel a bit smug as Ben obliviously settled into this new headspace, watching the movie as if it were the most interesting thing he’d ever witnessed. The only time he occasionally turned away from the screen was for the brief moment it would take to be spoon fed another bite being offered. Nothin beat the tried and true combination of an age regression classic an comfort food t’keep someone perfectly satiated in a headspace, eh?
Kid would barely wait to swallow before pointing at the screen to yell something about it because he was trying so hard to listen after having been told “ta swallow ‘is food ‘fore speakin,” but still NEEDED to give his commentary on everything since at his core he was still Ben. He might be acting younger but he was still who he was for better or for worse. And that included movie commentary.
Ben: “That crab is such an ass-munch! I mean look at him! He’s practically makin out with King Trident’s butt.”
Butcher: “His name’s Sebastian, you’ll like him more later on, bud.”
Ben: “I don’t like commies.”
Butcher: “Now why’dja go an call the poor ol bastard that?”
Ben: “He’s red.”
Butcher: “That don’t mean… he’s a crab, mate.”
Ben: “And? Crabs can be commies.”
Hughie: “That’s weirdly the most inclusive thing I’ve heard you say.”
Ben: “Hell yeah King Trident!”
Hughie: “You can't cheer for him, he just destroyed his daughter’s most prized collection!”
Ben: “Uh yeah. She didn't do what he said so she earned it. And she was probably kissin on that statue like a weirdo. Anyway he looked cool doing it.”
Butcher: “An how’dja know she was doin that?”
Ben: “I dunno.”
Hughie: “Ariel wouldn't kiss a statue!”
Ben: “Shut up, Hughie, you don't know that!”
Hughie: “Yes, I do! I’ve watched this movie more than you!”
Butcher: “Boys.”
Hughie: “Sorry..”
Ben: “Well I’m not sorry.”
Once the junk food was gone, Ben started his yawns again but Butcher counted himself lucky that his anxiety didn't notice them this time since that was the only thing he could guess set him off earlier. That or he just took too much while he was gone and got paranoid. Supe was a nutcase anyhow and Butcher probably trusted him even less than Hughie did.
Near the end of the movie though was when the brick of a man made himself comfortable against Butcher’s side and without making it a big deal, the infamous bloke wrapped his arm around his shoulder to pull him in tight. He was softer than he looked. Maybe that level of comfort he was providing was why Ben’s aggressive commentary died away before he could give a final scathing review and instead slipped asleep the moment the next movie started. But Ben would certainly deny that to anyone that brought it up. Including his own thoughts. He’d rather blame those supe-special roofies he never confirmed.

Joey, 30, he/him, switch. Californian living in Vegas. Nothing more than an incredibly perverted no-life nerd with an obsession for horror/extreme cinema, criminology, anime/manga, Hardcore music, Counter-Strike, and fucked up kinks. Welcome to my world, sickos!
I love Damsel in Distress, Bondage, Abduction, Somnophilia, & Mock Drug-Facilitated CNC fetishes. Chloroform-Play is a major fetish of mine, so you'll find a lot of that type of content on this blog. I do not condone sexual activity that doesn't have voluntary consent established. All uploaded content on this blog is pure fantasy!
My asks are open for questions, confessions, small talk, etc. Just please, I beg of you, do not be a fucking weirdo. I will not hesitate to block and report if you act out of line. In addition to that, let me make this crystal clear: I do not use chloroform or any anesthetic on others; it's extremely dangerous, not to mention ILLEGAL.
I accept submissions from followers/mutuals. Please read the requirements before submitting anything; otherwise, I will not accept it. If you would also like to request anonymity before submitting, message me! I have no issue with that at all.
