You guys seriously go “this is my number oc his name is i and he is the square root of -1” when in numbers canon lore it’s actually impossible to square root a negative but sure whatever. “Complex numbers”? I think you mean a character x oc ship. “f(x) = 3x - 5”? That is self-insert fanfiction.

makes me a little sad when star trek ignores IDIC. like. vulcans are logical. that is true. But 'logical', for vulcans, does not amount to 'without compassion,' and it definitely doesn't amount to 'racial superiority.' Belief in 'infinite diversity in infinite combinations' should NOT result in the weird racist/speciest stuff we're getting in some of the newer treks. It does make sense that some vulcans are discriminatory. They're still flawed. But that should not be common or expected, like it seems to be in SNW. If it is, then it's a race of hypocrites, which. doesn't seem very true to Star Trek's message.

I think TOS Spock does a pretty good job of embodying this. Not always, it was the 60s, after all, but mostly. He was often trying to find non-violent routes, and get by without killing - even if they were in danger or had already been attacked. (See: the mugato, and the horta (until Kirk was the one in danger, lmao. t'hy'la > IDIC), the Gorn ship). Kirk, in his eulogy, calls him the most human soul he's ever known, and I've always read that as Kirk calling out Spock's overwhelming compassion.

It's just so much more interesting when Vulcans get to be radically compassionate. I want them to believe that everything and everyone has value. I want them to respect all ways of being. I want them to find ways for even very non-humanoid aliens to exist unfettered in society. I want them to see hybrids and think that it's amazing. Also, like, disability rep. I want Vulcans to have The Most Accessible Planet and available resources because they want everyone to feel accepted and valued. It makes for better characters and more interesting stories.

The ages in this show!! I have made some jokes about this before, but it gets me - with aging Ciri up and bringing her closer to Jaskiers age when they meet I can not help but draw parallels. Like Geralt bonded way differently with both of them (which makes sense because Ciri has been his Child surprise since birth and Jaskier just randomly turned up one day and followed him like a puppy) but it's so funny to me. also I'm 100% sure Jaskier was horny as fuck from the beginning so there was a whole different vibe from the get go

I've noticed quite a few people referring to doubts and "limiting beliefs" as things they need to "fix".

I want to reassure you all that there is nothing you need to fix. Things like doubts, fears, limiting beliefs, etc, only have power if you give them power. And even then, you can still manifest/shift with them in your head. Nothing can stop you. Absolutely nothing. I want you to really think about that and let it sink in. You are the absolute power. What you say goes. You can shift with a simple "gobbledeegoo" so why the fuck do you care about doubts.

I get it babes, I do. But there's going to come a time when you realize that living in that fear isn't doing you any favors. Stop feeding the fear. Stop feeding the doubts.

It's okay to be nervous. It's okay to be scared. It's okay to feel and honor those emotions. But never let these things control you. Never push down your own power because of some thoughts.

There is nothing to fix! If there was something to fix, it's the fact that you think something needs to be fixed. Your doubts and fears have no power over you. Stop letting them control your life. You are in charge. Act like it.
