Gonna be honest, I'm a bit disappointed that the fandom hasn't really tried to extrapolate what a Dipperland would be like, a dream bubble prison meant to entice specifically Dipper into staying the way Mabelland did for Mabel, particularly since we know what Mabelland was originally going to show Dipper thanks to the episode commentaries. I'd like to think that in contrast with Mabelland, which was very obviously indulging in Mabel's desire to escape into fantasy and never grow up, to the point that Mabel is somewhat aware of what Mabelland is doing, if not to what extent, why, or what's really outside of it, Dipperland would essentially leave Dipper in the dark about being in a prison and essentially play an idealized version of his life on fast-forward, where he and Mabel get to stay in Gravity Falls, he gets to study under Ford, their parents move to Gravity Falls, and several other things happen that sound too good to be true if they happened all at once, but the time skips/dream logic causes Dipper to not question it that much. Like, Ford eventually bringing Tyrone back, for example.

GRAVITY FALLS 1.07 - Double Dipper

Welp, I finally did it, I finally went and gave the MK2 updated designs for the new UF era. For those not in the know, the MK2 are well, the MK's kids, who form their own little friend group and go off on adventures just like their parents before them. So to reintroduce them, let's meet the squad:

We have the twins, Ava and Abigail, who are Dipper and Pacifica's daughters. Abigail is kind of a preppy jock, loves sports just as much as she loves all thinks pink. Ava is a lot like her dad in that she's too damn curious for her own good and she's also something of a history buff on top of that.

Then we have the Universe kids! Lisa is the oldest, and is the one who keeps this ragtag group of freaks in line (she's also a big animal lover). Comet is big into tech and gaming, and isn't afraid to flaunt his skill around. Rebecca is, well simply put she's a fucking little freak, always doing off the wall random ass shit as all Weird Kids tend to do.

Then we have Mabel's sweetheart of a son, Tyrone (you'll never guess who gave her the idea for that name). He's shy and softspoken, but like I said, a total sweetheart who must be protected at all costs (plus if you take a close look at his design you may get a few hints about who his dad is... ;)

And finally, we have Dipper and Pacifica's youngest, their precious lil baby boy Alex who is literally a baby so I don't have much to say about him.

Anyway, enjoy the kids! I'll be drawing updated designs for their grown up parents too so keep an eye out for that!

ABSOLUTELY-- i love how this forced me to go watch the show to find some scenes to slot our guy à la mystery triplets style- but in the same sense it reminded me how much i absolutely LOVE this series- but look how tINY THE TWINS ARE---

Season 1 episode 7 : Double Dipper i forgot how tiny the twins are compared to everyone else all things considered- but i feel like it's like a common thing where alcor would think they're talking to him whenever they say "dipper" and stan's just accepted that he needs to clarify sometimes

i forgot how absolutely psychotic this episode was and am all for it-- i however have no idea how that ute works!! are there seats in the back? i dont know!! i needed to chuck our boy in somewhere though, so here we are

i know it's not much but i hope this is alright for now!! (backgrounds are the bane of my existence) i had a bunch of fun doing this since i was drawing things that i definitely would not think of drawing otherwise haha-

there were a lot of scenes i wanted to slot alcor into as well but then i felt like realistically, it wouldn't make sense like- oh if he was in this scene, this would happen or that wouldn't happen such and such- and it felt odd to try slot him in with those scenarios- but i will be on the look out for more scenes in the future so keep your eyeballs peeled!!

What’s your favorite episode and why?

I've loved Double Dipper and The Time Traveler's Pig the most.

I feel they're the perfect Gravity Falls episodes in terms of balancing the mystery element of the show with the characters and just being funny while also sharing important lessons.

I feel like they have far better rewatchability than say, Not What He Seems. And what I mean by that is not that they're better than NWHS, but that you can rewatch them more so over and over again and still have fun while NWHS is more an episode that hits hardest the first time and then is one you have to sorta control your rwatching of cause doing so too much can numb you to the shock factor it's meant to have. I mean, the plot heavy GF episodes are the ones I've rewatched fewer times for that very reason.

Meanwhile even after probably rewatching Double Dipper and TTP more times than I can count, they still are a joy to watch.

They're everything I love about Gravity Falls!
