Climbing back aboard the better eating bus. A week in and I already feel more energized and alert throughout the day.

So easy to slip into unhealthy eating patterns of junk/processed foods and eating out. They provide us short term comfort. Those effects are short lived and soon you find yourself wanting more and getting caught in the cycle of eating foods that do not provide the proper healthy nutrients to power your body and mind all day long. It’s a tough cycle to break and easy to slip back into.

Try breaking out of it for a couple weeks. At first you’ll feel like garbage as your body craves the short burst energy it’s become accustomed to. But then you’ll start to notice how much better you feel without all that junk weighing you down.

HS!gojo crushing hard on nanami is a comedy of errors and miscommunication. Every move he makes to try and connect with him flops spectacularly and its actually a wonder how he doesnt drop the bag

He thinks nanami is into astrology so he memorizes his and everyones star charts and becomes a bit of an annoying expert on it, when in reality he likes astronomy and is really into the history behind planets and stars and the study behind them

He thinks nanami is into mythology and thank goodness he's The Top Sorcerer because he can just easily peruse thru his clan houses many libraries to find out the origins of different yokai and spell, but actually nanami is into european and danish mythology and has been getting into those to reconnect with his danish roots

He knows that nanami likes bread and cooking so he gets really into baking to let them have something to talk about and makes him all sorts of sweet breads and milk breads and pastries, and completely forgets about the fact that oh shit. Right. Nanami hates sweets. And he just made an entire croquembouche.

finally put my finger on what bothers me about the setup for jack and dean's relationship. it's that i personally don't find it exciting or interesting to parentify someone who's been parentified for 30 years already. i know people disagree with me here and that's fine! but i feel that adding another layer of parentification without any meaningful change to the first layer is just. insult to injury i guess.

dean finally gets to tell mary what he went through and he forgives her and it seems like maybe he's going to get to be his own person, finally, with that weight off his back, and then one episode later cas and mary are gone and jack is there and sam needs him too. and sam pushes dean to push down his grief and parent jack. and that's it. dean becomes jack's parent. in some ways he's still acting on how he was parentified for sam. and that could be explored in interesting ways i suppose. i just don't find the execution compelling. in fact it just makes me really sad.

Ravus seeing his sister's death as a tragedy, not just because she's dead, but because she's dead and she doesn't even get to rest. The repeated imagery of getting closer and closer to Noct's destined goal is literally him trying to hold very still and not flinch as he lets a sword hit him. The goddamn ending. The game is not in conversation with this theme. These are things that are true to the characters and they cannot imagine a world where they are not. I'm climbing on the walls.

If they're injecting our meat with clot shots, could they be doing it to our fruits and vegetables? If you have a farmers market or you see roadside stands... Give them your business.

Also if you take a refrigerator magnet to the grocery store you can check the meat at the store. But I highly recommend you find a local meat market and get your meat from there, you'll also be supporting a local business. Don't be afraid to ask them where they get their products shipped from.

being a big bearded dragon enthusiast who likes explaining beardie behavior and correcting misinformation about it is so hard sometimes, because a lot of times the explanation is just “they’re kind of bastards sometimes.”

don’t get me wrong, most of the time they do have a reason for doing certain things. sometimes they are in genuine distress. but you need to learn the difference between “actually needing help” and “just being a dumb lizard” by knowing the context.

i’ll see a youtube short of a male beardie running around a room while stopping to bob his head a few times, and someone in the comments will be like “they only do that when they’re stressed! you must be abusing him somehow!” meanwhile he’s just pissed that he heard a stranger’s voice in another room and wants to scan the area, just in case. i had a male that darkened his beard and bobbed his head for hours…. because i got a new dresser. they’re just bastards sometimes.

“why does this one keep trying to jump from high places?? they’re trying to get away from you! you must be abusing them!!” no they just do that sometimes because they’re little dummies. you need to keep an eye on them because they’re bastards who will do the stupidest things imaginable.

“this baby beardie is waving which means it’s scared of you!!!!” waving can be baby language for “hello i’m here and i’m lizard pls don’t eat me.” give it some space and respect. but it doesn’t hate you. it’s just a baby doing what babies do. adults can wave too but it isn’t always a need for concern. my male and his babies waved at each other as a mutual signal of “dw i see you. i won’t eat you. ur good.” not bastardous, but still understandable lizard behavior.

usually just knowing the context is enough to dispel any concerns.
