do you ever think that the ending of six hundred strike, actually added to the poseidon & athena beef? like i can just imagine them both in beds in apollo's olympus infirmary, just arguing with/at each other! meanwhile poor apollo is just tying to heal them both.

Now I'm high on caffeine so random thoughts hits me again. love in paradise Athena dives into Odysseus memories if I remember it correctly? Eh seems like so, and see all the sht he went through. If Athena flew and dive around so gracefully like an owl , I like to think that in Are's case the part of "let's see where you been" It would be him jump down and punching through Penelope's memory with it shattered like in glass shades and each ones he went through he just keep on punching until he landed right on the last remains of the boat trying to look for Penelope. "Where the heck r u girl" Loll sry me drunk.

I try not to say that opinions or criticism is ever invalid because I don’t rlly think it’s my place to decide that, but I genuinely don’t understand the “how could Odysseus defeat Poseidon as a mortal?” argument. the gods aren’t some invincible divine being that no man could ever hold a candle to??

diomedes, odysseus’ bestie in the iliad, quite literally stabs BOTH aphrodite and ares with his spear which causes them to run away back to olympus (and refuse to rejoin the fight!!!), and apollo had to bat patroclus away from scaling the walls of troy like four times before he backed off (which shows how strong a mortal man’s determination can be). neither of these men were divine!!! they were just fierce warriors!!!!

the gods are absolutely powerful but it is NOT that insane to say that odysseus could have severely weakened poseidon with his sword 😭

Athena's thoughts: Sweet Protogenoi, I'm a virgin, and even i can tell they're blowing this.

I like the implication that Penny and Ody, two certifiable smartypants both by ancient greek and modern standards, look at the owls on their shoulders and think "thats totally normal :D"

Meanwhile Ares and Athena are over here trying so hard not to cringe at the teenage sweetness/awkwardness

Ares is also Hera's son, so Ares had her protection. Apollo never did. If Ares pulled the lightning thief bs in HOO or beyond, he would be fucked because Zeus is unbelievably pissed off at Hera so her protection would count for nothing. Zeus' favourite child is Artemis.

a MCU/Percy Jackson crossover with Bucky Barnes as a demigod. Ik your already thinking, he's a soldier so Ares obviously but he's actually a child of Aphrodite. Reasoning: before the war and when he's healed he is dressed very well. He wasn't really into war. he's never really fighting for the fight, he's fighting for someone or because he has to. He was forced to be a soldier in both instances (drafted/brainwashed). Mcu Bucky doesn't give off Ares kid vibes. So Aphrodite kid.

Update

TL;DR There’s no time limit to spirituality and helping yourself. Take a break, come back, try something new. It might just work.

I’m off probation! I was advised to take an extra bit of time after the initial week from posting because I tended to jump the gun.

But I’ve had consistent prayer and reach with the gods (Ares and Hermes) anyhow. Hermes more so.

But I do have to say it’s been pretty strange because there was a time where I wanted to talk to Hermes and Ares answered and when I tell you I was dumbfounded. I never really expected what happened last time to happen in the reverse especially since I did lean on Hermes a bit when it are to the little questions on my spiritual journey. But it happened! Ares answered and we talked for a bit about the progress I was making and words of encouragement were given.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m a little embarrassed.

But I do want to brag about the fact I am getting better at my tarot reading.

I still use my guide of course and verify but more so in a way of looking for consistencies and not asking the same questions 42 times. I also started just hanging with my deck a lot more without a direct call to a specific god just for a spiritual check in.

All part of the plan on loosening up :P

Hmm… what else? I’ve been trying to finish this book summarizing a lot of the Greek myths to make myself at least aware of what the bigger picture of what was happening back then was.

I also made rubber band bracelets for Hermes and Ares as sort of a reminder of prayer because 1. My schedule has been something as of late… and 2. I didn’t want there to be a point where I was forcing prayer just because I felt like I had to do it, and I feel like these with me allow me to do it at any point of the day or at least remind me of them.

So… the lesson is…

TAKE A BREAK. Don’t force your entire life to change immediately. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, so take a break and see what speaks to you when you come back to practicing, and if it doesn’t grow fonder, thats not something to be ashamed of.
