Looks familiar.
I hope people never travel to Florida. I hope their tourist industry dies. I hope climate change does what is predicted.
Too many innocent people will suffer from all the existential racism and prejudice, not to mention misogyny and LGBTQ-phobia, that will be passed around the state, both actively and passively though inaction.

Y'ALL, I FEEL SO LOVED 😭🥰
Some repeat tags because I enjoy a very closeknit and tight circle, and I enjoy sharing thy love!
@somereaderinblue @scyllaenjoyer @zippyskyfalls @dynasty889
 A friend threatened me to repost so I will!
Basically, there r tons of fake asses on tumblr who just want comments and followers, so someone started this to see who's actually a good friend. Everyone I tag better repost (and tag other people and preferably threaten them in a creative way as well) bc I'm high on caffeine and newfound lesbianism and will resort to violence.
@ey-theys-was-coronas
@fangirlhehe
I would tag more people but they're the only ones I've really interacted with-

OH MY GOODNESS, THIS IS SO FREAKING AMAZING I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!! 😭
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK! GODS ABOVE IT IS GORGEOUS!!!!
warrior penelope au but it's malewife odysseus YEARNING for his wife for 20 goddamn years... i draw him way too much in penny's own au but I LOVE HIM SO MUCH-
i have a link to the fic that i was inspired by : https://archiveofourown.org/series/4380808
long story short, odysseus got sent early off in war because of a mistake he and his crew made (letting their guards down) got to be with penelope for a bit, until she and other women had to be sent to war AGAIN, replacing ody and the men who were injured.. isn't that just fun? Odysseus got shot in the shoulder, hence why he has a scar.
Tumblr media
him raising telemachus all alone oh God,,,
Tumblr media
maybe in 'The Challenge' instead of weaving, he'd sculpt a statue of penelope to make the suitresses wait even longer, buying penelope time
Tumblr media Tumblr media
idk if telemachus is considered genderbent or not in this au... but anyways, he misses his mom too :")

I HAVE COME TO AN EPIC (hehe) REALIZATION! Now, as I am sure you have all come to realize, I love and adore Penelope. How can I not? Whether it be in canon or the various aus she stars in, Penelope is the definition of a strong and inspiring woman. Whether it be stuck in a palace as she both protects her son and fends off numerous men vying for her hand (which, lets be honest, is REALLY freaking terrifying), or being forced to step away from all she's ever known to fight in a war started by both men and Gods, having to brave the dangerous perils of both as she sails home, all the while staying unwavering loyal to her amazing husband, this woman is a bad-ass!
But, you know who I haven't talked about yet? Someone who deserves to have his story explained in the war!pen au, specifically before the events of the main story itself?! ODYSSEUS!
(Buckle up, cause I am about to go an a LONG rant/gash about this man)
Poor Ody is the definition of depression in this timeline. Not only does he feel he's failed as both a warrior and king, but as a husband and father.
For one, think about why he was forced to fight in the war, forced to be separated from his home, wife, and child in the first place. Because of an oath HE proposed back in his youth! Oh, and don't even get me started on the guilt he must have felt for baby Tele almost paying the ultimate price in his attempts to dodge this draft.
And things certainly do not get better when he's actually on the battlefront! He was the Greek Army's most insightful strategist, HE, of all people, should have stayed focused and resolute when the rest of the camp celebrated without a care. But no, he "allowed" himself to be swept up in the festivities of a premature victory party, and was thus left even more vulnerable against the famous "Trojan Ambush".
This, of course, resulted in devastating consequences for the Greek Army. Not only are the majority of the men, at least about 75%, left permanently maimed and unfit to continue playing their parts in the war, but most of the main Greek Heroes are captured and held hostage in the Trojan palace (including Ody's "good friend" Diomedes). Hells, the only reason Ody is able to avoid capture is because Eurylochus REFUSED to allow the Trojans to take his brother/best friend (and this results in Eury loosing his eye, so imagine the guilt Ody must feel knowing that little tidbit).
Ody and his men are forced to return home with their tails tucked between their legs, and you can bet Ody is the target of some unfair ridicule for a good while. His people are disillusioned with him, for how can someone as brilliant as their king allow such a tragedy to occur? Athena is furious at him (remember, this is pre-development Athena), because what do you mean she invested so much time in the mortal only for him to come out broken? Even Ctimene refuses to look her brother in the eye, not out of anger mind, but because she's shocked her "perfect" older brother, the one whose shadow she could never seem to escape, no longer has that bright look of optimistic resolve in his eyes.
For a small while, Odysseus is a shell of the promising man he once was. He is always second guessing himself, constantly replaying the incident in his mind to see where he went wrong. He can't even wield his signature bow anymore due to his shoulder aching every time he even attempts to use it.
Everyone is either pissed at him or pitying him. He hates it.
But do you know who ISN'T angry at him, nor does she underestimate him? PENELOPE!
Don't get her wrong, Penny is DEVASTATED by what has occurred. Not only is the war itself still ongoing, but the people of Ithaca's morale is at an all time low. Her best friends, Circes and Ctimene, are unsure of what they can do in the face of such sorrow. Laertes and Anticlea can only watch as their son sinks further into his self-loathing, and Odysseus is so afraid his "string of ruin" that he fears holding Telemachas will only result in something terrible happening to the babe.
But Penelope, as we all know so well, is never one to sit still in the face of incoming trouble. While her husband is recovering she takes control of the kingdom in the exact same manner she has been doing for the past year. She sets up a support system to help the injured men, lifting their spirits while helping them navigate their new bodies (its not perfect, but considering the times they were living in it was practically revolutionary) and extends a hand to her female subjects, encouraging them to stay strong in the midst of recovery and inspiring them to take on more "masculine" tasks for the time being. All this while being the primary caretaker of Tele, to boot! She's patient with Odysseus, comforting him when he cries and snapping him back to reality whenever he can't help but wallow in despair. She massages his shoulder whenever it aches, and encourages him to put a little more pressure on it whenever he's able. Slowly but surely he recovers, especially with the help of a shoulder brace she commissioned (Ody was a little embarrassed to put it on, but Penny assured him that he looked stronger than ever in it).
It's a lot of work, more than some would put in for another, but Penny doesn't care. It doesn't matter that he "failed" as a hero or leader. It doesn't matter that he returned a "broken" man, in both body and spirit. At the end of the day, her other half is by her side once again. That is a gift she will NEVER waste or take for granted.
And, to her credit, all that hard work certainly pays off.
One day, about four or so months after Ody returned home, Penny accidentally oversleeps. She wakes up with a start, rushing to hold and feed little Tele. However, once she reaches her daughter's room, Penelope stops. Right there, sitting on a rocking chair made for Grandma Anticlea, Ody is holding Telemachas to his bare chest and gently rubbing her back, humming a soothing lullaby to his baby girl. Penny can only watch the scene with tears in her eyes. For the first time since he came home, Odysseus was no longer afraid he'd hurt his child.
And things only look up from there.
Penny sees Ody laughing and joking alongside Eury and Polities. He's bantering with Ctimene and allowing Anticlea to fuss over him without feeling self-conscious. He's walking through the streets of his beautiful kingdom without shying away from the gazes of his still wary people, though they are slowly regaining their trust in him. Heck, he's even able to wield his bow again for a friendly hunt!
Penelope is beyond happy that not only Ody is returning to his goal ol' self, but Eurylochus and many of the other men are as well.
It all comes to a head one night when Penny and Ody are cuddling in their living olive tree bed. Ody strokes her curls as Penny nuzzles into his neck, embracing each other and refusing to let go. They're only cuddling, but it's nonetheless so sensual and intimate.
"Thank you." Ody says, his voice so soft and adoring.
"For what?" Penny asks as she looks up from his neck, both surprised and not to see those brown and silver eyes looking down at her with the most tender and affectionate gaze.
"For being you." Is all Ody says.
For a while, even though it was no doubt difficult, life was good. Some would even say "perfect".
But then, after more than a year of not seeing each other, Ares came down to meet Penelope face-to-face.

Crack thought -
(inspired by a random convo I had with @somereaderinblue a LONG time ago (it wasn't even regarding THIS au) and seeing the wonderful @scyllaenjoyer's recent poll)
The "Golden Apple" fiasco (tm), but instead of instructing that is given to the "most beautiful Goddess", Eris' chaotic self instead says it must be given to the "most handsome God".
Even though one can make an argument that all the Gods are insanely beautiful, eventually the "most handsome" of the Gods boils down to three: Zeus, Ares, and Apollo (my personal opinion based on facts and, admittedly, some bias; but I am willing to hear any other arguments!)
The three Gods decide that in order to settle this dispute, they must choose a mortal woman to enact judgement. Hence how they end up in Troy, with poor Cassandra as their target (sorry, Paris).
Each of the Gods gives Cassandra a "reason" as to why she should choose him-
Zeus: "Choose me as the most handsome, and I shall make you a queen with the most loyal army at your command."
Ares: "Choose me, and I shall give you the talent and guidance necessary to make you the most honorable warrior of your time."
Apollo: "Choose me, and I shall give you the best man to be your husband~"
Cassandra stares at the three Gods, blinks, then tries to eat the f-cking apple.
