not to be an insane christian or anything but honestly as a queer christian, reading luke 21:8-36, especially as a queer christian, makes me feel more affirmed as a christian and my place in the world as one. yes, i am living in the end times. yes, the way donald trump conducts "christianity" is basically the worship of moloch or any sort of demonic force of greed, so of course the people under project 2025 will try to persecute me.

but as a christian, i will not let that hurt me. i will help those who are suffering pestilence and famine, i will help those who are suffering war and disaster. god has called me to be someone who cares for those on the margins, and helps those on the margins in whatever way i can. if that means ending up dying in jail because of what trump plans to do to people like me, then so be it. i'm sharing my vision of christ from what i've studied in the bible, and i'm not scared of the end of the world anymore.

because i know, i'm on the side of god, and jesus, and the holy spirit, and all three of them won't hurt me, even if their plans for me could cause me suffering, jail, pain.

god and jesus and the holy spirit ultimately have a plan for me. that's why they put me on this earth early. that's why they want me on this earth.

Thinking about all the women who raised me. About how love is giving not what is deserved but what is needed. About god (because it is Sunday and even if I do not step foot inside another church for twenty years I will always think about god on sundays). Thinking about how Víctor Hugo said “To love another person is to see the face of God” and how Dostoevsky said “ the more you succeed in loving the more you will be convinced at the existence of god“ and how Keats called love his religion. The Bible says god is love which means LOVE IS GOD!! Love is the most divine thing in the universe. To love and to let yourself be loved is the only kind of worship that matters.

The world exists in such a baffling state of simultaneous sex-aversion and sex-hegemony. Every social platform on the internet is trying to banish sex workers to the shadow realm but I can't post a tweet without at least two bots replying P U S S Y I N B I O. People are self-censoring sex to seggs and $3× but every other ad you see is still filled with half-naked women. Rightwingers want queer people arrested for so much as existing in the same postal code as a child and are also drumming up a moral panic about how teenage boys aren't getting laid enough. I feel like I'm losing my mind.

oh: btw, i'm also a syncretic panenthiest. in this sense, i believe god is LITERALLY in everything, no matter how "profane" or "anti christian" it is.

like. god is in street fighter when the storylines encourage forgiveness and letting go of your trauma instead of dwelling in anger forever. god is in rainer maria rilke's poetry, which draws from not only christianity, but buddhist and islamic beliefs as well. god is in one of my favorite transgender nonbinary musician fire-toolz's album "breeze", which speaks to me as a christian in ways that no contemporary christian music has (her background as a christian mystic, unsure if she's still practicing, but she definitely draws influences from simone weil in her songs, certainly helps). god is in flowers, in the trees, in paintings that move me, in farcille yuri, in things that give me hope that one day i WILL live with the loves of my life. there is even god in feedism that i practice in a fat admiration and a maintaining my high weight way, as feedism has taught me to value the variation in bodies god has given us, even disabled bodies; through feedism, it's like i finally got the message that EVERYONE has a purpose in life, even the people and the bodies society consecrates as useless; feedism helped me solidify my disability theology even more.

god is in everything. he is embodied in everything. there is nothing that lacks god, even the "sinful" things.

p.s. and jesus and the holy ghost are in all of those things too and more. <3
