Celebrate the wins

I am walking on my walking pads.

My goal right now is to increase my NEAT.

Although my exercise is now in a good routine, my weight loss has been stalled for awhile.

I noticed that despite my workouts, my daily steps is low.

Things I am trying to increase:

-store steps

-parking farther away

-pokemon go

-walking pad

the silliest fandom problem to have is curating my online space so carefully and so vigilantly that when mentions of a truly delusional post break containment and intrigue me, i have to use quantum physics and enter the fifth dimension just to find that post because i want to have a vicious little popcorn moment

fic idea: because of the circumstances around Clark’s birth, he’s hardwired into a lot of Kryptonian instincts that have been dormant in the previous generations of Krypton. namely, those aligned toward the protection of children (bred out long ago because it was too “distracting” and “painful” on Krypton, where fewer and fewer children were being born).

Superman always saves children first because of this, but he never fully recognizes the instinct until he watches Batman protect and calm down a child after a fight. Kryptonian instincts flare fully into life, as a mature adult with a prospective mate within the vicinity.

cue Clark following Bruce around starry-eyed, unable to help himself around a man with 8+ children he clearly, quietly, adores and a penchant for encountering injured and scared kids in his line of work. and as Bruce Wayne, who seems to have a kind of magnetism to him that leads kids at galas to him and sullen pre teens dragged along to cocktail hours to his side during networking.

hey, just as a btw, a fic or a series not uploading for a year doesn't mean its abandoned.

Sometimes the authors have shit going on, other wips, or! it just needs to sit and marinate for a bit. Collecting all the flavor and details it wouldn't have otherwise.

This could be a new fandom vibe because of all the "i have to drop this while people are still interested" energy, but its not universal, and i don't believe its good for the fandom ecosystem.

Have patience, and have compassion. Remember that authors are human and these fics? (or comics, animatics, whatever) This is our art. We care about it just as much, if not more than you.

I'm rewatching 1x07 for the millionth time and losing my mind over this little moment where Lestat silently signals to Louis to turn the page, and for just a second when they cut to Louis he's totally lost in Lestat's gaze before he manages to snap himself out of it. He just immediately tumbled into that well with no bottom the instant their eyes locked together...
