Gap the series Sam standing up to get grandmother

Rewatching part 4 of Ep11 coz I still can’t get over the confrontation scene and the way Sam grabs Mon and walk out of the house.

Anyway, what I want to say upon many rewatching is: Fuck Kirk.

He’s there. He saw how devastated and conflicted Sam is. Sam, the one he said he love so much. How sad Mon is. He heard all the thing that Nueng is saying about the Grandmother. This one granddaughter that ran away from home, and she’d rather live the poor life than live under the oppresive grandmother. He saw Sam is crying her heart out. Sam, who he said he’s going to do everything to protect her happiness; in which Nueng clearly said Mon is Sam’s real happiness. He heard all the things that the grandmother said. He even heard how easily the grandmother is willing to cut all ties with Sam.

He saw and heard all of that. And yet, he is more concerned about the grandmother? And he is still pushing for the wedding?!?! And based on the preview, he is so damn happy he gets to marry Sam?!?! Like, does nothing that he witnessed gets through his tons of hair gel and thick skull? Seriously, what the hell Kirk?

In short, Fuck Kirk. Fuck Kirk and everything that he represents for; whether the typical cishet entitled men, or just plain everyday silent obstacles/harms LGBTQ people has to endure in their life.
