I may just be insane about this but does this feel like foreshadowing to anyone else. In this scene we see her trying to replicate the skill of someone else (her mother) and failing to achieve the same results that they would. That feels really specific and it's driving me insane.
Like, we see this come back again in the aftermath of the trial. Diana has repeatedly voiced her admiration for Wolfgang's ability to speak and inspire those around him in the darkest of times, saying she wished she could do the same. We see her pour her heart out and give her own speech to inspire the others-- except the reaction that she receives is cold and miserable, far from the newly kindled warmth and hope Wolfgang was able to create every time.
Diana is a chameleon. Her whole thing is to reflect, to replicate and to adapt. Do you think that this small scene where she tries to make a butterfly out of her hairclips-- a butterfly, an animal associated with transformation and change-- and the end result looking nothing like what she wanted it to be is a metaphor for her future character arc? She has declared that she wants to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, wants to become something new, but do you think that by the end she ends up being the furthest thing from him? Do you think that by the end she will be left distorted, fundamentally wrong? Do you think that if she could see what she will become in the future, the only emotion that she can muster is horror as she gazes at a stranger that's supposed to be herself? That by the end, she won't be able to recognise herself, because there's no "her" left anymore?
#project eden's garden#p:eg#p:eg spoilers#diana venicia#wolfgang akire#it makes me think of her in the imitation artwork#the way she is more “normal” than everyone else. that she's smiley and friendly and colourful but her eyes are completely vacant. glassy#everyone else's ranges from horrifying to morbidly cryptic to depressing yet they all feel infinitely more “real” than she does#they say the eyes are the window to the soul yet hers are mirrors that only reflect the people in her sight#and in one you can see her face. expression hardened and determined with purple eyes similar to wolfgang.#and then the one where you see diana look at her imitation self covering her mouth in horror at what she sees when she looks into its eyes#and it's so unbelievably similar to when she watched wolfgang get electrocuted to death#and it feels to me like it's emphasising how his death will be her spiral into losing herself entirely failing to be like him#which makes sense. because she has an idealised image of who wolfgang was#wolfgang was someone who was also scared. who also struggled. who had his own insecurities and fears and secrets#wolfgang had parts about himself he hated and tried to be a better person than he thought he was presently#and he has an idealised image of his own mum. dedicated his life to be like HER#she chases after an idealised picture modelled after another idealised picture unaware that the standard she's pursuing never existed#diana corruption arc i can feel it#i can see her character going downhill mentally from here and honestly i'd love that but i would be upset cuz she deserves better#but i feel like her story will be one of transformation gone horribly wrong#which makes her such an interesting antagonist and contrast to how damon's development will likely go#anywho just rambling here in the tags don't mind me much#i just really like diana and i don't rant about her enough XD#momento rambles

"Longing"
Inspired by the song Vermillion pt2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Man, you take forever," Vanitas complained, his expression hardened and hinting at sadness. Tomorrow was the day they faced off against the Guardians of Light. Such a wonderful thought, to be used as cannon fodder.
"Shut up," Rei hummed in response. "I don't get pissy when you take forever."
Vanitas tightened his lips, glad that the replica hadn't looked up yet. His eyes roamed over the segmented joints of the other, softly regretting that they would never get that human-looking body they desired.
Rei's yellow eyes flickered up to Vanitas's own. "Hey," they said, reaching over and patting him on the arm. "You good? Thinking about later?"
Vanitas nodded, chewing on his tongue. "Can't wait to finally see Sora, again. Give him back this ugly face. Stop being a look-a-like. Y'know?"
Rei's soft expression fell. "You know I don't think of you like that," they answered, earning a scoff from Vanitas.
"And why not? You should! I don't understand how you can keep hanging out with me. We're not really friends. I'm not Sora. That's the only reason you-"
"Is it though?" they interrupted. "I liked you long before you showed me your face. I like your claws, I like your hair, your eyes, your sharp teeth. Even your shitty personality which I know isn't even how you really feel."
The True Darkness's breath caught in his throat. What was he to say? He felt absolutely no negativity radiating off of Rei. Only sincerity and something else. He didn't know what it was, but it wasn't hate.
"What are you feeling right now?" he asked tentatively.
Rei's mouth formed a thin line like how Vanitas's did earlier. "I-....It's...Nothing. It's nothing. I promise. You won't have to worry about it. How's your arm by the way? Does it still hurt from when he..."
Vanitas shook his head, dropping the conversation from earlier.
Rei smiled, a true, genuine smile. "Good. Stay safe on the field. Live if you can."
"You too."

I love how ALNST portrays the coexistence of hate and love in the main relationships, just like those "Hatred is easier than a vague word such as love" photocards. And grief these characters have to go through and how they handle it because this series focuses on how people live on after they experience loss, in their own ways each of these standees represent that grief and the intricacies of their complicated relationships. All of my ships are divorced

I hope the mixed feelings Mizi has for Sua are elaborated on more in the future. Mizi had been almost, if not entirely, dependent on Sua in their time together. Sua was there to fill the gap of loneliness Shine left Mizi with after she was sent to Anakt garden alone. Sua taught her a lot and helped her study. Sua protected Mizi from the world and kept them safe in their bubble. She was someone who Mizi looked up to like her god; her faith in Sua and the love she had for her was like a religion. Sua was always there for her, and Mizi was happy to blindly follow her. And she left Mizi exposed and vulnerable like an abandoned fawn when suddenly, all of that was gone, and Sua was dead.
It would be interesting if it's confirmed that Mizi resented Sua after. In round 5, Luka's relentless taunting caused her to lash out, but Mizi wasn't angry at Luka; that anger, that despair, was her pouring out her feelings toward Sua because of Sua's death. After being taunted with the familiar comfort of Sua's presence, with the fact, that some of the happiness in Sua's smile could have been fake while she was unaware.
Tumblr media
The thing is, Mizi and Sua had been the closest to each other for so long, but Mizi had little to no insight into who Sua really was or what she was really thinking. Other than some brief instances where she would perceive Sua, she knew Sua was a little quiet, probably a little gloomy, but didn't second guess her at all, knowing Sua wasn't mean to her. And she trusted in the fact that Sua didn't have bad intentions. Mizi could've never guessed that this would be the result, could never catch onto that emotional distance Sua had intentionally kept between them. When Mizi comes to an understanding that Sua knew what would happen all along. that's where the hurt stems from. Sua's actions, leaving Mizi in the dark and not being truly open, are a part of her coping mechanism/way of protecting herself. Sua wanted to shield Mizi so desperately, to shield her own heart from the fear of living aimlessly and in constant anxiety, that she had been content to die like this, to leave Mizi in this kind of disarray, even when she knew to some degree and was sad that her death could possibly subject Mizi to this kind of suffering, to having come to terms with those complicated feelings and it did crush Mizi as it all went down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mizi had the resilience to get back up and keep moving forward without Sua. As much as Mizi adored her, as much as she is making amazing progress in liberating herself from that past, who knows if she's moved from that yet, if she's forgiven Sua yet, the hurt from having been lied to for all that time. The betrayal of that trust Mizi had naively placed onto Sua, as if Mizi never even knew her in the first place. In some artworks, Sua is so distant from Mizi, even though they're always the most intimate, there is a clear disconnect as if Sua is a figment of Mizi's imagination, stagnant in the only way Mizi knew her, and she never changes. And Mizi suffers from the fact that she can't embrace that memory of Sua the way she used to. The standee similarly portrays this; Sua is simply hovering over her and watching in an eerie, enigmatic way. Yet Sua's presence is a comfort Mizi can't let go of even when it hurts that it isn't the same as it used to be. Even when the innocence of their bond is tainted by the understanding Mizi has now, she can't reject her. Mizi is nothing if not completely devoted to Sua, even to the end.

my ivantilll... my curevantill
Ivan and Till's push-pull, hate-love dynamic has been apparent even in childhood, and this standee says a lot about that dynamic, especially regarding round 6 obv. From Till's perspective, Ivan confused him, provoked him a lot, and fought with him a lot, but Ivan was also someone he considered a friend. Someone in his life that he cared about because despite their fighting they also shared quiet moments, Ivan was there for Till when it mattered (for comfort, even), where Till would've otherwise been alone, Ivan was always with him, those were memories Till would cherish even if he didn't show how much he cared to Ivan directly.
His despair going into round 6 wasn't just because of Mizi's disappearance, he hadn't expected he and Ivan would be in a position where they'd have to compete, and faced with the decision of having to either compete to win against his last friend, after losing all will to live, or to forfeit his own life, once he couldn't keep going anymore and stopped singing, Till had the intent to give up. Only for Ivan to make the final decision for him and forfeit his own life in such a brutal way right in front of Till. Even though there is little said about his perspective at the time as of now, To me, it seems like Till wanted to make that choice, but Ivan effectively yanked Till out of his own head to be bombarded with the confusing mix of gentleness and violence as the full force of Ivan's complicated feelings were thrown at him, and then to face the reality that Ivan is dead and he is alone.
Tumblr media
Till has been oppressed by the aliens all his life, and he's always fighting them for the right to his agency and freedom. Till's anger comes from Ivan's selfishness in that moment -(How could you do that and just leave me behind? kind of sentiment), the way Ivan took away Till's choice in the situation, the one time he ever willingly withheld Till's freedom was because of an impulsive action that Till can't begin to understand, everything happened too fast, Ivan had no idea what he was doing either and was erratic with it. With that, the questions and the feelings Ivan left him to figure out on his own afterwards were too much for Till to confront after having averted his attention from them for the longest time, that's why the weight of Ivan's feelings, the reality of it all outside of Till's head, metaphorically and quite literally weigh on Till to the point of breaking him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ivan's affections and lesser acknowledged feelings for Till clash and often contradict himself. His hold on Till in the standee is gentle and not at all, all at the same time. It's so fascinating to me how it can look like Ivan is trying to be comforting in a very (Ivan-typical) pushy or forceful/hostile manner because he wants to show he cares, however, he has never been the best at expressing himself, and Till is sensitive, but far more prone to avoidance or biting back in response to confronting the vulnerability of his own emotions. Because of this, they misunderstood each other's intentions a lot in the past, and Till doesn't know what went on in Ivan's head when he did what he did, but that confusion scares Till. The way they're positioned with Ivan gripping Till so he's forced to face him and Till being frightened by what he sees, too angry and too shocked to properly express himself, they're two forces pushing and pulling at each other (almost like they're fighting, in my opinion. It's also a show of their complicated dynamic because of their fundamental misunderstanding of each other) Even Ivan's lack of expression to Till's reaction to him is interesting to me. Sure enough, he supports Till while he's collapsing and pushing back, but staring down on him in an odd way (much like that frame from blink gone with his face, it's intimidating and observant), Ivan was unconvinced his actions would impact Till. And now, he doesn't register Till's feelings in the moment. He's under the impression that Till can just "move on" after that, as if forcing Till to live on in his stead would really not shake him, as if all that time they used to spend together realistically could've possibly meant nothing to Till. This standee is so symbolic and just as confusing as them, and Till's waist is mesmerizing (gets shot)
Tumblr media
HyuLuka's standee shows their dynamic so well; HyunA is avoidant and not facing Luka. Instead, she faces forward and looks past Luka the same way she does with everything that holds her back. To keep moving forward, she tried suppressing her emotions, avoiding confronting her past. She wants to move on. However, she's standing still and has a hand on Luka's head to silently comfort him (not even gripping his head, just resting her hand there) because, despite all of those years, after being forced to live on in her grief and her suffering, HyunA has grown, but she hadn't truly "moved on" from her past with Hyunwoo or Luka, until she met Mizi. Even though HyunA didn't want to face her past and those repressed emotions before, when she started coming to terms, she couldn't help but reach out like it's instinct, like she did when they were kids. because she can't help but still love and care for him, her revenge, albeit intentionally cruel, is also an example of this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This also shows another instance of Luka's dependence on her; Luka clings to HyunA like a child, much like he always does. He doesn't acknowledge that HyunA has changed or how his actions could've affected her in childhood. Because he's utterly devoted to her and desperate for the comfort of knowing they are "together" always. Through what little scraps he can get to remind himself of her existence, like with those posters, and so he never grows out of his childish indifference as long as he can continue depending on her
Tumblr media
HyunA's revenge is one effective torture method for Luka, because it's reiterated time and time again that she knows who luka is, she knows about all of this and took that comfort away from him in the most brutal way, so Luka can't deny it, because the truth is right in front of him. It's a big question of whether Luka can ever symbolically leave that "bird cage" and learn to live on his own without continuing to use HyunA as his coping mechanism. Depending on what Luka does with those final words she left him with, he can come to an understanding and agree to move forward or continue obsessively clinging to the only comfort he's known for years, just like he is in this standee
I also find it interesting how HyunA's role is set up in depictions like this (and I find that Hyuluka frame from sweet dream to be similar in a way), with the clear leverage she has over Luka, who doesn't care about the danger because he loves her so much more than he cares about himself, (Just like the way he does register the gun pressed to his head in wiege, but still moves towards HyunA) but she never does "kill" him even though she has the knife over his head (or in more symbolic ways, give in to the hatred she wants to feel for him) and she doesn't abandon Luka. Even though she has the choice to do both, she doesn't because she loves him. She can't stand to look at him smile at her cruelty, so she just stares at him with that vacant look that appears sometimes, like in All-in when she's experiencing ptsd and she can't even move until Mizi starts shooting at the robot guards, so she just absently stays. It really speaks to HyunA's nature. She's endlessly compassionate. She doesn't want to stop loving as a human because she can't stop loving.

The Humans in Metaphor Refantazio are mostly inspired by the artwork brought to us by Hieronymus Bosch and his most notable work: The Garden of Earthly Delights. And IMO, Atlus choosing this artist’s work to tell the story of Metaphor: Refantazio and its themes of racism and fear and anxieties is an excellent choice.
That being said, not every Human Boss in this game are based on Bosch’s work, some take their own ideas in mind, while others have their own interpretations they take after. Speaking of which, I want to talk about how each of the Human Bosses that Will and his crew face in the game each represents the Seven Deadly Sins. Why? Because the Garden of Earthly Delights perfectly represents the things that happen in the Bible, from the start a beauty of the garden up until its, and humanities fall from grace. Even if the translation from Google Translate aren’t perfect, we can use them to best determine why they represent that sin.
This will be discussing the bosses we face in the game, the story behind them, as well as the final boss. So naturally, there will be spoilers.
I will talk about each Human boss enemy we face in order of when we encounter them. Melancholia Zorba will not count for this discussion, but I will talk about Zorba later. Since we don’t face Will has a human boss, I won’t be counting him for this list either.
This list is inspired by the mini bosses we fight in the final dungeon: The Tyrant Star. You have to fight the Humans you have encountered over the course of the game in order to weaken Destroyer Charadrius’ final form. Choosing not to results in Destroyer Charadrius getting more Press Turns, a higher level and each of the abilities said humans (you get a trophy for doing this).
I decided to go back and change some things after looking at the translations (however poor) of the Human Monsters, I was right to assume about one of the humans, but after looking deeper into things, I was surprised to find that some of the humans represent these sins very subtly more often than not.
Tumblr media
We start with Homo Gorleo (translation: Human Throat), the human we fight at the Border fort and where Will awakens to his Archetype. I have been debating on whether I want to give the sin representation to this beast, it was between Gluttony and Greed. After translating its name, “human throat,” I was really scratching my head.
So this could mean that Homo Gorleo is in fact the sin of Gluttony. But surely there has to be more to it than just simply eating from its own body to sustain itself. Gluttony means overindulging and taking on more than one can chew. So it is a type of greed, in a way, I wasn’t completely wrong when I had the idea of giving it the sin of greed.
More importantly, this human embodies the actions of Klinger, who sent Will, Strohl, and many others to die at that human’s hands (or legs, in this case) in order to give more merit to Louis’ words and increase his own political influence. And if he had succeeded to get away with this, many others would have shared the same fate as those in the fort and the victims of Halia (Strohl’s home village).
Klinger embodies the nasty side of nobility that gorges on the wealth they are blessed with. While Strohl is the noble that lost everything and has learned that he needs to use what he has to help the less fortunate. And helping the weak becomes the main slogan of Will’s team when the Tournament for the Throne begins.
Tumblr media
Next is Homo Avades, which is the Human in the Box art and matches Hieronymus Bosch’s most iconic art piece. The name of this human actually gives the idea on what sin it represents: Homo Avades roughly translates to English as “a person who is greedy.” This Human is the one that Louis brought to the Grand Cathedral in order to give his speech on the humans and his duty to slay them as proof that he should be the rightful ruler.
Homo Avades is one of the humans that was majorly advertised throughout the marketing for this game. It serves as our first major boss in the game (as in our first major fight during the story operations in the game). And this human representing greed is symbolic of the fact that this game as a whole, both in the place we are fighting in and throughout Euchronia, are (for the most part) living for their own selfish desires. So in a way, Homo Avades is one of the first representatives of what Will and the others have to fight against moment to moment.
And also, the reason why we have to fight in the first place is because Zorba, Louis’s right hand man, revives it in his attempt to spite the society that rejected him. In a way, this is his “selfish” attempts to fight against the cruel system that he hates.
Will, Strohl and Hulkenburg (and Gallica) fought bravely to stop the human from destroying Royal Capital. This act of bravery gives Will and the others some renown, which would be needed for the upcoming tournament; and more importantly, stay true to the act of winning the faith of the people.
Tumblr media
The Greatworm Homo Butera was the other Human I was debating on whether its the seen of Gluttony or Greed. But after finally settling on Gluttony and Greed for both Homo Gorleo and Avades respectively, this is the human I needed time to realize what it embodies. Homo Butera translated to “Buttery Man.” That’s… not exactly helpful for this post or imposing.
That being said, given the understanding of the word “butter,” it does fit with the theme of eating that comes with the Martira arc. This includes introducing Hulkenburg’s love for… “unconventional” food. This as well includes Homo Jaluzo, whom we will talk about later, that is being fed with adults and children alike.
Back to the topic at hand though, it’s possible that Homo Butera symbolizes lust. Reasoning being is that there is another way we can interpret the word “buttery,” and that is through another term like “butter up.” To “butter up” something or someone is to entice them with empty words or promises. This is best shown when Morris (one of the key figures behind the kidnappings Will and the others are tasked to stop) gives Will and the others an idea on how to find Heismay without getting caught up in the Sandworm. He was lying, and Will and the others get eaten by the human worm as a result.
The themes of lust, and by extension, the term that we are using to describe the themes of this human, continues while trapped inside of its stomach. The goal of this dungeon is to escape out of the worm’s… “other hole” within the time limit. During which, you can try to get as many items as possible, because you can’t play through this Dungeon again after you are through with it. If you get too caught up chasing after items, you may run out of time to escape and will get a game over for it. Which is why I prefer to just get to the exit as soon as possible.
And finally, there is Morris himself after he is ratted out to be the kidnapper. Morris’s reason for helping Joanna kidnap and feed people to Homo Jaluzo is because he just wanted to fatten his piggy bank. Ultimately he gets his comeuppance, as he becomes Homo Jaluzo’s last meal.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Homo Jaluzo, this was the easiest Human Sin symbolism to find. This was the only human translation I could get that I actually liked and was the perfect symbolism for. Jaluzo is the Esperanto term for “jealousy,” which is the perfect symbolism for a grieving mother who lost her half breed son to cruelty. And thus Homo Jaluzo’s sin undoubtedly, envy.
It’s perfect for the Joanna to represent the sin of envy as well. Homo Jaluzo served as a replacement to her deceased son, and thus she takes her anger out on other parents who have children out of rage for those parents have, but she had taken from her. The difference between how Zorba and Joanna take their anger out is this: Zorba is out on the entire society, while Joanna has (mostly) targeted the people that had children out of spite for what she had lost. It isn’t until Heismay (who Joanna framed, but also lost his own child) chose to understand what drove her down this path that Joanna sees the error of her ways.
Tumblr media
The Sea Horror Homo Sabara’s name translates to “a person who is a sabar.” This made absolutely NO sense to me whatsoever. So I looked up the word “Sabar” and the closest word I could find to match is the word “Sabr.”
“Sabr” or “Sabar” is an old phrase that emphasizes on waiting, perseverance and patience. So staying true to this talking about what sins relate to each of the human boss fights, the closest thing we have is wrath. Wrath is extreme anger that blinds your ability to think rationally. The EXACT opposite of being patient.
Now how does this fight with symbolism of this fight? For context, this fight takes place on the way to Virga Island. During the trip, the Magnus Brothers (Basilio and Fidelio) have joined the ride to spy on Will and Junah, so they get caught in the crossfire because of it.
The reason for why I believe Sabara represents the sin of wrath is because of how it ties into Fidelio’s character. Fidelio (and his brother) were victims of Igniter experimental abuse (alongside many other Paripus (one of which led to Heismay losing his son, hence why he hates the Paripus) and had hated the church and the late king ever since. This leads them to meet Saint Rella and Junah, with the brothers falling in love with the surrogate siblings.
Fidelio’s main flaw comes down to his irrationality towards the things he doesn’t agree with. Be it the party’s philosophy and how they wish to save Eupha during the mission for the Lance, or his opinions on King Hythlodaeus and hatred towards the church. In contrast, Basilio has the emotional intelligence needed to see the bigger picture and truly ask Basilio if what they are doing is truly right.
The only time Basilio has lost his cool is when Fidelio died from protecting from Louis attack on some church folk. Fidelio dies with clarity on the fact that his rage towards the world blinded him to the fact that there are other people who were in his position that may have needed help like he did. And as for Basilio, if Eupha hadn’t yelled him back into sensibility, he would have wasted his brother’s sacrifice.
And then we get to Basilio’s awakening. It’s thanks to Fidelio’s reminder that he has the strength to protect the weak that gives Basilio the courage to move forward without him. And in contrast to many other awakenings in this game, Basilio calmly says goodbye his brother outside of the battlefield.
“See ya around, Del.” - Basilio
Basilio’s starting Archetype is the Berserker. So in a twist of irony, Basilio awakens to a wrathful Archetype in the calmest manner possible. It symbolizes Basilio tapping into those emotions into power without succumbing to them. And thus, Basilio controlled his wrath.
Tumblr media
Homo Margo’s name is translated roughly as “human on the edge.” It’s a fitting for the story of the Mustari who are relying on human sacrifices to cure their fears and anxieties (such as our party member to be Eupha). Homo Margo is pretty much a Mustari turned into a Human. So the best sin to associate Homo Margo is Sloth.
Sloth is basically stillness in effort, laziness to put it simply. It perfectly represents the people of Virga Island rely on their teachings and their dragon god to be their shelter in the storm. Eupha herself admits that she had simply her teachings and worries of the people as her crutch for the choices she makes, which would have led to an undignified and senseless death.
It’s thanks to the Will and the others that she learns and accepts the truth. She finally understands what the human that possessed Eht represents: an unwillingness to see or confront what’s in front of them. And thus it blinds them to the truth. By learning from these mistakes, Eupha becomes a priestess with the courage and assertiveness to ascertain her own answer to life.
From then on, Eupha makes the willing choice to travel with Will and the others so that she can grow both as a Priestess and as a person. Eupha becomes more open towards her own emotions and opinions such as when she suggests to tell the Magnus brothers the truth on why they wanted to kill Louis. As well as Eupha being the most outspoken when Basilio was going to chase after Louis after Fidelio’s death.
Tumblr media
And last, but most definitely not least, is Louis’s Human form: Destroyer Charadrius. Unlike the many other Humans in the game that were made with Hieronymus Bosch in mind, Destroyer Charadrius is based on Lucifer of the Divine Comedy: Inferno. So it’s only natural that his assigned sin is none other than Pride: the foundation of all sins according to the Bible.
Louis’ fatal flaw has always been pride. This is best shown as the game continues into the final arc. When Will and the others are close to beating him during the fight at Grand Trad on 9/24, Louis resorts to using his magic on Will to transform him into a Human to make the people of the country lose faith in him.
Louis prides himself on the beliefs that power is the deciding factor of the world he plans on creating. But were that the case, one would think Louis should have just accepted defeat the very moment Will and Co. proved their strength to stand against him. But Louis uses a cowardly trick in the midst of the duel to make Will seem like the bad guy.
Louis’s pride, above everything else, prevents him from seeing how he falls short of the very ideals he speaks of. He can’t think for one second at the very thought that he was in the wrong. Which is why he makes it clear that he will kill anyone who doesn’t agree with him.
Louis Social Darwinist worldview (or at least he plans on acting on it) revolves around turning the Royal Sceptre’s accumulated anxiety onto the people to see which people would survive the human transformation and gain more power and who wouldn’t. But Louis fails to realize that his philosophy will backfire because the human transformation is caused by mass amounts of Magla that can’t be controlled (which leads to his own human transformation at the end of the game).
Louis’s refusal to accept his faults or learn to quit when he was ahead finally leads to his death at Will’s hand after awakening his final Archetype.
Will and his friends all have learned to be open to different perspectives without losing themselves to their fears and anxieties. But Louis himself is blind to his own weaknesses and didn’t open his eyes to that truth, it ends with him falling short on his beliefs and dying in the process.
We are done with talking about all of the human bosses and how they represent the seven deadly sins. But there actually is one more unorthodox sin that some scriptures have to be an 8th sin: Despair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despair is the ultimate killer of idealism and the ability to believe. This chain of despair from Hythlodaeus losing his wife and son, to Louis losing faith in the king after getting blamed for the Prince’s curse is what led to the chain of events that caused this story in the first place. And had Will fallen into despair over the state of the world in any of the bad endings, he would have been no different than both Louis and Hythlodaeus.
I did say I wouldn’t count Will as part of this list, and said that I would mention Zorba. But the reason for why I’m doing this at all is because it’s important to tie in despair with how the fears and anxieties of the world serves as the fuel behind the Human transformations to begin with.
Melancholia is dense and uncontrollable Magla that can drive any person or beast to insanity. Melancholia itself is a term for “melancholy,” meaning deep sadness. And thus, back to the point of why Louis’s philosophy was doom to fail him, he couldn’t overcome the fears and anxieties that came from the day he lost his family and home to the flames of the church. And thus he takes that sadness out on others (namely Strohl with Halia).
Zorba himself was already a madman long before his human transformation, and thus is the reason why he could “maintain” his physical body.
The Archetypes are supposed be the power that comes from overcoming one’s anxieties. And with it, the power of magic.
Now back to Will and the themes of despair. It’s only as Will maintains his hope and idealism that he truly becomes king. But this is where the Elegy of the Soul comes into play. While this boss is not a human enemy, it’s a dragon that has been overtaken by the fears and anxieties of the people. Thus the Elegy of the Soul represents the potential destruction that can be brought out by the future “hero.” That hero being Will, so this is the closest we get to fighting “Will” as a corrupted version of himself.
This fight is proof that even if Will becomes the king and stops Louis, it doesn’t guarantee that the world will become a truly perfect Utopia. But Will’s character is about striving for a better world is the better alternative than giving up on it/destroying it. And thus, Will’s character is also about maintaining hope in a way that More and Louis could not.
And that power is what it means to face fears and anxieties and become a true king.

Toilet Bound Hanako-kun Hanakotoba Analysis
Tumblr media
While it might seem surprising that it's taken me this long to cover TBHK—given my adoration of the series and its abundance of flower symbolism—what delayed me was mainly the lack of clarity as to which flowers represented which characters and scenes. This is mostly because multiple characters have been depicted with the same flowers while some characters have been depicted with multiple flowers. I went off of flowers I've seen in the anime and any official artwork I managed to find since it's been a while since I read the manga. In any case, I tried my best...
═══════════════════════
-> 1) Camellia (Camellia japonica)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> 1.1) Flower Symbolism:
In Japan, camellias are called tsubaki (椿). They are associated with modest kindness, pride, eternal love and enduring love in hanakotoba. Red camellias in particular symbolise love, humble virtue, modest splendour, unpretentious grace and "perishing with grace" in hanakotoba. Pink camellias represent love, modesty, beauty, longing and missing someone. On the other hand, white camellias symbolise waiting, impeccable charm complete beauty and supreme loveliness. Camellias are also associated with everlasting love, marital bliss and perfect unions between lovers because, unlike most other flowers, the calyx and petals of a camellia flower don't separate when its flower wilts. In Western floriography, camellias are associated with constancy, steadfastness, perfect loveliness, unpretending excellence, adoration, longing, admiration and perfection. Red camellias in particular are associated with passion, love and desire.
-> 1.2) Discussion of symbolism:
The most prevalent flower depicted in the TBHK anime and manga series—as well as in its official artwork—is the red camellia. A silhouette of a camellia flower is even incorporated into the series' logo. In the series, camellias are often associated with its titular protagonist, Hanako—but are also occasionally associated with Nene Yashiro and Tsukasa Yugi. Despite being closed off and often smiling to mask his emotions, Hanako cares greatly for those close to him, which ties into the camellia's symbolism of modest kindness. Over the course of the series, Hanako and Nene have come to care a great deal for one another with the former going so far as to uproot the lives of others and sacrifice his own existence to save her. This ties into the camellia's symbolism of enduring love, adoration, longing, passion and perishing with grace. Meanwhile, Nene goes so far as to change the timeline so she can see him again. This ties into the camellia's association with steadfastness, longing, passion, adoration and enduring love. Nene's innate kindness and naivety as well as her development throughout the series from an insecure, hopeless romantic to someone more assured and determined greatly complements the flower's symbolism of loveliness, charm, modesty and beauty.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-> 2) Hollyhock (Alcea rosea)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> 2.1) Flower symbolism:
In Japan, hollyhock flowers are called tachiaoi (タチアオイ) and symbolise ambition, abundance as well as noble and majestic beauty in hanakotoba. Pink hollyhocks in particular symbolise benevolence and gentleness while red ones symbolise love. In Western floriography, hollyhocks are associated with ambition and fruitfulness. Pink hollyhocks represent innocence, youthfulness, gentleness and grace while red ones symbolise passion, love, strength, resilience and courage.
-> 2.2) Discussion of symbolism:
In the series' first episode, hollyhock flowers are seen growing in the garden that Nene tends to as she talks to Hanako. They are also pictured in the opening theme of the second season alongside Aoi Akane. Hollyhock flowers have also been depicted in official artwork alongside Nene and Hanako. The hollyhock flower's symbolism of strength, resilience, courage, and love complement the trials and tribulations Nene and Hanako have gone through for one another. While the flower's symbolism of benevolence, ambition, gentleness, youthfulness, resilience, passion and love strongly complement Nene's character. Although she isn't depicted with hollyhock flowers as often as HanaNene are, the kanji of Aoi's name (葵) translates to hollyhock. The hollyhock flower's symbolism of grace, passion, love, beauty, benevolence and gentleness complement her outward-facing personality.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-> 3) Bellflower (Campanula sp.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The flowers depicted in this artwork of Hanako and Nene Yashiro are bellflowers. Although the exact species depicted is unclear, the closest resemblance is the Korean bellflower (Campanula takesimana).
-> 3.1) Flower symbolism:
In Japan, bellflowers are called berufurawā (ベルフラワー) and represent humility, gratitude, sincerity and an unchanging heart in hanakotoba. The bellflower's association with humility is derived from its downfacing flowers. In Western floriography, bellflowers symbolise humility, constancy, sincerity, gratitude and unwavering love.
-> 3.2) Discussion of symbolism:
Pinkish-purple bellflowers are featured alongside Nene Yashiro and Hanako in the release notice and cover artwork of chapter 116 of the manga. The bellflower's associations with gratitude, sincerity, constancy, unwavering love and an unchanging heart greatly complement Hanako and Nene's feelings for one another.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-> 4) Daffodil (Narcissus sp.) & Marigold (Tagetes sp.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> 4.1.) Flower symbolism:
-> 4.1.1) Daffodil Flower Symbolism:
In Japan, daffodils are known as suisen (水仙). They are associated with conceitedness, self-love, respect, regard and unrequited love in hanakotoba. Yellow daffodils in particular symbolise "come back to me" and "I want you to love me again". In Western floriography, daffodils symbolise egoism, self-love, respect, chivalry, unrequited love, evanescent happiness and deceitful hopes.
-> 4.1.2) Marigold Flower Symbolism:
In Japan, marigold flowers are called marīgōrudo (マリーゴールド). They represent jealousy, despair and sadness in hanakotoba. In Western floriography, marigolds symbolise jealousy, despair, cruelty, pain, pessimism and grief.
-> 4.2) Discussion of symbolism:
Daffodils and marigolds are featured on the cover of volume 15 of the cover as well as on the above official art of Hanako. Although the main trio is featured on the cover of volume 15 given the solo artwork of Hanako, it's a reasonable assumption that he is the one canonically linked with these flowers. A single daffodil is also featured on the cover of volume 0 alongside Hanako. Both daffodils and marigolds have negative connotations in flower language contrary to their bright and pretty appearance. This is somewhat reminiscent of how Hanako hides his true emotions and inner turmoil behind a mask of cheerful mischievousness and hides how closed off he is emotionally with Nene with how physically affectionate he is with her. Added to this, the marigold's symbolism of jealousy, despair and grief as well as the daffodil's symbolism of regard, egoism, deceitful hopes complement his character. Furthermore, the daffodil's symbolism of "come back to me" and "I want you to love me again" greatly resonates with Nene's feelings towards Hanako in the current arc of the manga.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-> 5) Sunflower (Helianthus sp.) & White Lily (Lilium candidum) & Tiger Lily (Lilium lancifolium)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> 5.1) Flower Symbolism:
-> 5.1.1) Sunflower Flower Symbolism:
In Japan, sunflowers are called himawari (ひまわり). In hanakotoba, they represent longing, adoration, aspiration and "I look only at you", longing, adoration". In Western floriography, sunflowers symbolise adoration, good luck, resilience, happiness, optimism, warmth, longevity and false riches. Sunflowers are also a representation of unconditional love, devotion and loyalty.
-> 5.1.2) White Lily Flower Symbolism:
In Japan, white lilies are called shirayuri (白百合). They symbolise purity, chastity, innocence and dignity in hanakotoba. In Western floriography, they symbolise affection, majesty, purity, sweetness and refined beauty. They are also associated with faith, rebirth and commitment. White lilies are often used at weddings due to their association with purity, commitment, and love. However, because of their association with purity, white lilies are often used at funerals and are thus also perceived as a symbol of grief and mourning. This established association of death with purity suggests that the departed spirit is pure, virtuous, and innocent, conveying sincere sentiments of hope and mercy beyond death.
-> 5.1.3) Tiger Lily Flower Symbolism:
In Japan, orange lilies symbolise brilliance and humour. In hanakotoba, Tiger lilies—which are called oniyuri (鬼百合)—represent pride, wisdom as well as wealth. In Western floriography, tiger lilies are associated with compassion, charity, wealth, humble pride, passion, mercy, confidence, positivity, prosperity and protection.
-> 5.2) Discussion of symbolism:
Tiger lilies and white lilies are featured on the volume 0 cover of the manga alongside Hanako. While sunflowers are depicted alongside Hanako on the cover of AidaIro's art collection. The sunflower's symbolism of adoration, longing, devotion, loyalty, unconditional love and "I only look at you" resonates with Hanako's feelings towards Nene. The sunflower's association with longevity and good fortune is reminiscent of Hanako's desire for Nene to live a good and long life. Given its association with positivity and happiness, the sunflower in the artwork could be a symbolic representation of Nene and how he longs for her and wants to protect her rather than just a figurative representation of his feelings towards her. The white lilies on the cover of volume 0 could be a representation of Hanako's purity and innocence during his human life as Amane Yugi. The white lilies' association with grief and mourning could infer that he mourns the loss of his innocence and purity. Conversely, the white lilies depicted could represent Nene while the tiger lilies represent Kou Minamoto—along with the daffodil representing Hanako. Each flower's symbolism complements their respective character, supporting this theory. With the white lily's association with purity, innocence, sweetness and beauty complementing Nene. While the tiger lily's symbolism of confidence, passion, positivity, charity, mercy, compassion and protection complements Kou.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-> 6) Baby Blue Eyes (Nemophila sp.) & Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> 6.1) Flower Symbolism:
-> 6.1.1) Baby Blue Eye Flower Symbolism:
Baby Blue Eye flowers are known as Rurikarakusa (ルリカラクサ) in Japan. In hanakotoba, they symbolise success everywhere, daintiness and forgiveness. In Western floriography, they are associated with victory, prosperity, tenderness, sensitivity, harmony and trust. They also represent the transient nature of beauty and life, encouraging us to treasure every moment and appreciate simplicity.
-> 6.1.2) Lotus Flower Symbolism:
In Japan, lotuses are called ren (蓮) or hasu (はす). In hanakotoba, they symbolise eloquence, detached love, sacredness, and a pure heart. They are also associated with rebirth, purity, transformation, renewal, spiritual enlightenment and resurrection as well as beauty, grace and perfection. In Western floriography, lotuses symbolize purity of the heart, virtue, innocence, achieving great things, beauty rising from humble beginnings and bringing together separate things. Lotuses also symbolize estranged love and eloquence. Pink lotuses in particular are often associated with feelings of admiration.
-> 6.2) Discussion of symbolism:
Pink lotuses are depicted alongside Nene and Aoi on the cover of volume 13 of the manga. While the blue flowers depicted around Nene and Aoi on the artwork commemorating the release of chapter 60 are likely Baby Blue Eye (Nemophila) flowers. The lotus' representation of purity, enlightenment, innocence, virtue and sacredness is symbolic of both Nene and Aoi's roles as kannagi—ritual sacrifices to appease the gods and separate the far and near shores. The lotus' symbolism of perfection, beauty, grace and eloquence is reminiscent of how others perceive Aoi. Meanwhile, its symbolism of detached or estranged love is more reminiscent of her real personality and her feelings of resentment and bitterness at having to constantly pretend. The lotus' symbolism of a pure heart, admiration, "beauty rising from humble beginnings" and "bringing together separate things" complements Nene's character. The Nemophila's symbolism of harmony, trust, tenderness, sensitivity, forgiveness, success and treasuring simplicity complements Nene and Aoi's friendship and reinforces how all the tribulations they go through together strengthen their bond.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-> 7) White Violet (Viola mandshurica) & White Daisy (Bellis perennis)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
->7.1) Flower Symbolism:
->7.1.1) White Violet Flower Symbolism:
Violet flowers are called sumire (菫) in Japan. In hanakotoba, they represent humility, sincerity and small happiness. White violets in particular symbolise purity, candor and innocent love. In Western floriography, violets symbolise modesty and faithfulness. White violets in particular symbolise faithfulness, loyalty, modesty, innocence and purity.
-> 7.1.2) White Daisy Flower Symbolism:
In Japan. daisies are called hinagiku (雛菊). They represent purity, beauty, peace, innocence and hope in hanakotoba. In Western floriography, daisies symbolise purity, innocence, new beginnings and beauty.
-> 7.2) Discussion of symbolism:
On volume 18's fifth publication notice artwork, Sumire Akane is depicted alongside white daisies. While on the release artwork of chapter 89, she is depicted alongside white violets. Sumire's name (スミレ) means violet in Japanese making it a fitting choice for this artwork. The violet's association with modesty, innocence, purity, humility and sincerity plays into Sumire's youthful, nurturing and cheerful outward-facing persona. The artwork depicts her gently holding a white rabbit complementing this notion. The daisy's symbolism of peace, purity, innocence, beauty and hope further accentuates this. Although neither flower's symbolism hints at her underlying sadistic and manipulative side, her smile in each artwork is somewhat too saccharine. Both flowers' association with purity and innocence is symbolic of her role as a kannagi.

PSA; I have been getting a few unsavory messages regarding my Shadowsugar theories and artwork. They are not for you if you don't like Shadowsugar in the slightest ! I am not saying any of this is canon, it's food for thought, artwork and maybe even plausible little theories. These are completely meant for fun and enjoyment, this is a fandom after all ! Enjoy yourselves!!
⚠️Shadowsugar theories/fanon ideas ahead ! ⚠️
Do you guys remember when I talked about the Shadowsugar + Persephone and Hades theory? (if not, here you go: https://www.tumblr.com/tanoshiboo/785867032329601025/hey-out-of-curiosity-you-think-about-shadowsugar)
They had two children, interestingly enough
In Orphic mythology, there was Dionysus/Zargeus (essentially the same, I think) and Melinoe (the younger and little-attested sister)
Now, the interesting part about this is:
Dionysus's association with grapes/grape vines and theatre and the radio staff Black Sapphire holds to an extent looks like a Thyrsus (this one's stretchy)
(I think we all know Black Sapphire's association with grapes and just general theatrics)
Melinoe's name basically means "tree fruit" hmm.. I wonder what that could possibly remind one of, totally not apples at all (although it can also possibly mean dark-minded)
Now, some accounts say, especially in orphic greek mythology that Zeus was the one who was the father of Dionysus, but interestingly, in some ways, Shadow Milk is not that far off from Zeus either sometimes - Although this is mostly Orphic
Zeus transformed into a serpent to deceive Persephone which apparently led to the creation of Dionysus (sometimes apparently Melinoe instead, I'm not 100% sure here) and he also fathered Melinoe
Also, interestingly enough, Melinoe is also described as having limbs that are "partly black" and "partly white" because of Hades (dark) and Zeus (light) in orphic as well. She apparently tends to be associated with the colors black and white
Tumblr media
I'm just adding to my Persephone and Hades theories from a while back, and also the theories of CA and BS being their children ⚙️⚙️⚙️⚙️
I also considered maybe Pavlova also being since it was theorized that Eros was also possibly the son of Hermes but it doesn't matter since I'll just be considering his ~3 direct siblings
Harmonia and Phobos/Deimos
^ maybe CA ^ Mixed to influence BA
but stretchy.. I also headcannoned maybe they could be like Cain and Abel too , BA being Cain and Pavlova being Abel, especially since one is more demonic and the other is more angelic (for obvious reasons). maybe Candy Apple could be Aclima. Just thought this was fun to think about
If you want to look into more directly to mix stuff:
Tumblr media
Oh yes, speaking of which, I thought it was cute that Candy Apple and Pavlova also have big bows in their designs. The double-colored long hair on older Pavlova reminded me of Shadow Milk's pre corruption hair/sage of truth hair. (also generally the fringe reminds me of Smilk) Not exactly theories at all but it's sooo cute to think about ...
And the silhouette of the bow strands also look a bit like they'd make a coattail... I don't know why, but Pavlova is so Candy-apple-esque if only she were not evil/more "angelic"
Also how they're all associated with fruits, especially the one's in Eternal Sugar's garden (berries, apples, grapes) is lovely, even Shadow Milk is strongly associated with blueberries . Only one who isn't is Eternal Sugar but to be frank fruits contain relatively high natural sugar content ...
If you think about it, Candy Apple cookie behaves a lot like Eternal Sugar sometimes... And Pavlova is a bit of a little trickster just like Shadow Milk cookie - I wonder if they would get upset about it sometimes lol ⛱️ Imagine raising a child as a divorcee only for them to turn out like the other parent instead
Ooooh and I nearly forgot to add, I thought it was interesting how Black Pearl cookie and Shadow Milk cookie are so similar especially in terms of lines which is funny because I'm pretty sure Black Pearl cookie is meant to be like a fem sea-based Hades (also Black Pearl's voice actor voices Lady in Azure too!)
I had some more thoughts, but I'm too sleepy to talk about them further. I did talk about them earlier but I had doubts and considering either re-writing or let it catch dust
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so much rejection...
All of these things are very think-worthy and art material for me and I hope it's the case for everyone else too who likes it as much as I do 🧡

Good Omens graphic novel update: March 2024
Happy March. We bumped into the one and only Maggie Service at an event earlier this month, and here she is with some enamel friends of ours:
Tumblr media
It turns out, her words, not ours, that they’re not only good for the aesthetic, but handy for covering accidental food stains. Here she is showing off the gorgeous Aziraphale and Crowley pins to the crowd.
Anyway, we have a bumper one for you this month, and an important update on timings. Let’s get to it.
PledgeManager
First of all, we were due to launch the PledgeManager with this month’s update, but there’s a few last minute hurdles we need to get through and so we’re pushing it back a few final weeks just to ensure all the is are dotted, and ts are crossed. We’ll now be launching this on Thursday 18th of April, in the late afternoon UK-time, to ensure that all team hands are on deck for the move into this next phase.
We’ve got a bunch of FAQs ready for the launch, and we’ll have a PledgeManager-specific update to coincide with it going live where we’ll lay out everything as clearly as possible. We appreciate your patience on this.
Rather than hold back the PledgeManager-adjacent information to the new launch date, however, we’ll still share with you some of the new things that will be available!
In terms of new additions: you wanted more  ̶d̶u̶c̶k̶s̶ items? You’ve got them! We’ve got two new notebooks: one featuring lots of ineffable artwork from the graphic novel, and one featuring the much-loved ducks.
Tumblr media
We’ve also got two new mugs: one for Tadfield visitors, and another for… duck lovers.
Tumblr media
We’ve got a big sticker set bringing together lots of the art from this campaign. And, we’ve got a new enamel pin pair: these gorgeous Crowley and Aziraphale wings that together make a little love heart. You can either wear them both, or split them with your own best angel.
These will be available to purchase like the Aziraphale and Crowley pin pairs - not tied to the mystery packs.
Tier updates
While some elements of the campaign are facing delays, other elements are hurtling forward at full velocity. Fans of the very cute, brace yourselves: here is Sarah Graley’s print for the loot box:
Tumblr media
We’ve got some more map previews from Julien Labit, capturing Tadfield, heaven, hell, and many, many places in between:
Tumblr media
And, we’re excited to unveil Alice Oseman’s Crowley illustrations for Loot Box #1, completing the pair alongside her Aziraphale sketches from when she watched Good Omens years ago:
Tumblr media
On the add on front, here’s our Good Omens slipcase that can be added to pledges, to keep your graphic novels nice and  ̶a̶c̶c̶u̶r̶a̶t̶e̶ cosy:
Tumblr media
We are quite into pins, you may have noticed. Here’s some more that will be available in the mystery packs:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving up to the Obsidian levels, here are some of the sample art pieces from William the Antichrist, illustrated by fantasy artist Mike Nash featuring Crawleigh, and the Citroen 2CV. We’re excited to see these new editions come to life:
Tumblr media
Evolution of Eden
We thought it would be interesting to show the evolution of the graphic novel itself. We’ve found it glorious watching Colleen’s artwork arrive in each new stage, and so here’s a sample of the stages of Colleen’s first image, in the Garden of Eden, from pencil sketch, through ink, to the finished page:
Tumblr media
And another, from its initial concept sketch, through to this celestial delight:
Tumblr media
Lots happening, the lay of the year changing a little, but still full to the brim with Good Omens.
Until next time.

𝑰𝑵 𝑩𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑴 // 𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑬𝑹𝑩𝑨𝑻 𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑹𝒀
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Bruce Wayne (The Batman) , Clark Kent (Superman)
𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠(𝐬): Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent, SuperBat
𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 39,038 (10/10)
𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐬: Bruce Wayne (The Batman) , Clark Kent (Superman), SuperBat, Bruce/Clark, Pattinson!Batman, Corenswet!Superman, Alternative Universe - Human
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Eventual Smut, Grief/Parental Loss
In Metropolis, flower shop owner Clark Kent forms an unexpected connection with Bruce Wayne, the enigmatic tattoo artist who opens a studio across the street. As their bond deepens into something more than friendship, Bruce struggles to keep his dark past from threatening their fragile relationship. Together, they must navigate love, trust, and the shadows that refuse to let go.
(The story was/were complete inspired by the artwork created by @day-dream-fever)
𝑰𝑵 𝑩𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑴 // 𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑬𝑹𝑩𝑨𝑻 𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑹𝒀
A few months had passed, and with the changing of seasons, the chill of winter melted into the tender warmth of spring. It was early April now, the air fragrant with the scent of blooming flowers, and Bruce found himself on the Kent farm, surrounded by the quiet hum of nature.
It was a world apart from the noise of Metropolis or the shadows of Gotham, and every time Bruce came here, he felt an odd but welcome sense of peace.
Clark had invited him along to restock his flower shop, as he often did when the farm’s blooms were at their peak. Martha Kent’s garden was a masterpiece in itself, her careful tending resulting in a kaleidoscope of flowers in every shade imaginable.
It wasn’t just about business—Clark loved supporting his parents’ small family operation, and it was easy to see why.
Over the months, Bruce had come to understand just how much heart and soul went into the Kent farm. Every bloom, every petal, every blade of grass told a story of care, patience, and love.
Bruce leaned against the porch railing, watching Clark and Martha in the distance.
Clark was crouched among the rows of flowers, carefully inspecting each one before adding it to the growing collection in his basket.
His face was lit with that easy, boyish smile Bruce adored, his laughter carrying softly on the breeze as Martha teased him about taking too long to choose. It was a side of Clark that Bruce cherished deeply—the earnestness, the way he found joy in the simplest things.
It made Bruce love him even more with each passing day.
The memories of the past months filled Bruce’s mind as he stood there.
Spending Christmas and New Year’s in Smallville with the Kents had been a revelation. The small town's charm, the warmth of Martha and Jonathan’s home, and the sheer simplicity of it all—it was unlike anything Bruce had experienced in years.
The holidays had been filled with quiet moments by the fire, homemade meals that left Bruce wondering how he’d ever gone without Martha’s cooking, and a sense of belonging he hadn’t realized he was missing.

Moonlight of Her Touch | 3D Artwork & Story
Tumblr media
Moonlight of Her Touch | 3D Artwork & Story
He sits on the garden bench, alone. Thoughts, worries of the day — they hum like distant thunder, low and persistent, just beyond grasp.
He can’t focus. Something inside him stirs without shape, restless and unsatisfied. The future, maybe. Or the ache of uncertainty that settles in when the body grows tired but the mind refuses rest. His shoulders are low, spine bowed — as though the hours of the day have hung their coats on him.
(Read the full story below) (Music for the story - YouTube, Spotify)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He sits on the garden bench — but not lonely anymore.
Midnight has poured itself over the stone paths and dew-soaked grass, a hush so complete it seems the world has exhaled.
In his hand, a book is open, forgotten — its words dimmed and drowned the moment he felt her approach, like stars retreating at the edge of dawn.
She doesn’t speak.
Why would she, when she sees his posture — the slump of him, the way his head half-turns to catch her presence before his eyes ever do. When their connection runs deeper than language, when the syllables of care have already been spoken in the spaces between thoughts.
Her presence arrives like light through leaves — not sudden, not blazing, but soft and certain. First, the shift of air, and then the warmth of her hand on his shoulder, delicate as the hush before birdsong. Like spring wind across closed eyelids. Soothing. Calming. Carrying something that doesn’t need to name itself to be known.
A quiet fire kindles in him when she's near — not the kind that consumes, but the hearth-fire of home. And when her other hand finds his cheek — unhurried, reverent — the breath in his chest stirs and deepens. Not fragile — no, never — but yielded. Open. Something in him that once learned to hold back has now learned to wait for this.
His eyes fall closed.
From trust. From the long road to this single moment. From the kind of peace that comes not when when the storm passes, but when someone stays anyway.
There is no question in him, no tension. Not with her behind him, moonlight threading through the dark like a weaver at work. It casts silver across the garden, paints her silhouette into something half dream, half earth — like the wildflower goddess in Yeats’ field, or the evening star that waits without haste.
She touches him like someone who knows — not only what he’s told her, but what he couldn’t. The scar on his chest, the dormant orb — no longer concealed, no longer a thing of fear or apology. When her hand finds it, he exhales. Almost soundless. Her fingers trace its shape, not to question, not to understand — only to say something warmer than words. Something like grace.
He feels her touch like a heartbeat pressed against his skin, and beneath it — something older, something that says:
You are no longer the storm. You are the sky that endured it. And he smiles.
Just that kind of smile that begins somewhere behind the ribs and unspools through the chest. The kind that makes the breath feel less borrowed. That smile.
She doesn’t move, not yet, and he doesn’t turn.
The moment is full — not waiting for anything. As if their bodies remember a rhythm written before this night, before words, before thought. Whether it becomes sleep, or closeness, or the hush that carries them into dawn, it’s already here.
The garden holds still. The moon, patient sentinel, does not blink. Nothing stirs but breath, and the faint brush of her fingers across the hollow of his collarbone.
They could speak, but don’t.
Souls — when they know each other deeply enough — often stop needing to explain.

We're all acquainted with Suzunosuke's celebrated artwork involving the Clockworker's Doll, which was also featured in Miniature Garden Girl.
Tumblr media
I wanted to go more in detail about this.
Let’s describe the image first:
The room seems small from our perspective. The background varies shades from a bright pink near the window to a duller magenta as you move your eyes to the left. Some petals float over the area.
There's a person at the center of the room, sitting on what looks to be a comfortable bed. She wears an entirely white dress. She uses a rose as her hair accessory and has a ribbon tied on one of her wrists. She seems to give a lonely expression in contrast to her smile. Her arms are crossed, resting on a birdcage. The latter one contains white-light pink flowers and three vessels of the Deadly Sins.
Given this premise, let's move on to a more elaborated analysis.
We can recognize three vessels in the cage:
The Glass of Conchita;
The Mirrors of Lucifenia;
The Marlon Spoon.
The only one that's not in it is the Clockworker's Doll. It could be a reference to the Doll distinguishing herself and seeing them as merely objects while she yearns to be a human.
Cages often symbolize imprisonment and loss of freedom. The vessels lost indeed their liberty of wandering around the globe. At the same time, it could imply she's preserving the items for Gallerian since he's collecting them, suggesting her appreciation for his work.
There are light pink roses that generally represent admiration, appreciation, grace, gentleness, gratitude, trust, joy, happiness, and love. In short, very generic adjectives.
The blooms in the cage could indicate the Doll's desire for having more. She wants to know about the outside world, given that her life is reduced to the small room she lives in, but she'd rather remain together with her “father”.
The rose in her hair could represent her belief that she's happy with what she has and accepts it, insinuating her admiration and love towards the judge.
The colors vary from pink to white, the last one symbolizing purity, hope, devotion, innocence, and youth. They describe the doll very well in my estimation.
Therefore, there could be a hint of the Irregular chained up, where each element in the confined space is a recall to the re_birthday song (Glass of Conchita = red manacles; Marlon Spoon = blue chains; Mirrors of Lucifenia = Irregular; Roses and sepals = the spring; the black room = the cage).
Seven roses have the meaning of “hidden love”. Gallerian loves the Clockworker's Doll or, at any rate, he's fond of the soul that dwells inside it. From people's point of view, he's a hopeless madman who takes refuge in past memories and projects them into an inanimate object. Regardless, Gallerian can communicate with the being inside it, developing a proper and genuine connection with her people can't perceive. Consequently, the expression can insinuate a non-existing affection from commoners’ apprehension of the circumstances. Conversely, there's a deep bond no one but her “father” can perceive.
Summing up, “hidden love” is concealed from the sight of others; only the two parties involved who in this situation are Gallerian and the Doll can fully comprehend it.
Speaking of the Doll, in the illustration we can notice she wears a distinct dress from the usual, blue one we're used to, a dress completely covered in white with minor pink tints in the upper area of the fabric and the ribbons.
A white gown commonly alludes to a connotation of innocence, virginity, being pure and clean, this in accordance with the values of the Christian faith.
It is evident here the authors' intention to correlate the achromatic color to the Doll's unexpected virgin pregnancy, thereby referring to the irregular residing in her womb. The pink features are very likely a citation to Irina, the owner of the soul inhabitating the Clockworker's Doll.
Now, if you pay particular attention to the Doll’s forehead, there appears to be what looks like a microscopic circular rash right above her left eye. I haven’t figured out yet what it is or if there’s any specific reason why it is there. However, I’ve come up with some ideas; for example, it may denote as a mark left after Gallerian's death by being shot in the head, a metaphor for emphasizing that the collector’s ideals will later be passed on to his “daughter”, and therefore he left a profound impression on her in his demeanor and mannerisms.
Or it's more conceivable they're there to provide an aesthetic effect.
The window refers to the external world, the world full of possibilities and new experiences that she never had the chance to discover. She only has her room, the demons in the vessels, and Gallerian to keep her company, nothing else. She's somewhat alone, although she's fine with that, having the impression of being mostly more relaxed than anything else. Although, observing carefully, it seems like she's staring at the window in a melancholic way: she wants to know the outer view of her door. Nevertheless, she's just a motionless doll and would rather remain by the judge's side.
Moreover, the window is divided into six components. They may indicate the vessels of sin Gallerian succeeded to gather, and it's also the number of roses visible in the birdcage (I'm not sure though, since the other version presents eight segments). Along with the one used as adornment, we have in total seven roses, identical to the complete set of the deadly sins.
Petals flutter in the air, wandering around the limited chamber. As mentioned before, these flowers cover symbolic connotations. Aside from the definitions listed previously, white petals can also indicate new beginnings, renewal, and hope. I figured there's a potential that they might represent Irina's body alterations over the course of a thousand years, although I'm not convinced 100%.
Additionally, in numerology, the number five is represented as “freedom, curiosity, and change, which can be interpreted as having the desire to have adventures and explore new possibilities”. As we stated earlier, the Doll isn't entirely free. She wishes to be more informed about what’s beyond her window, but she's limited to her tiny room and can't leave. Only Gallerian is her information source in order to understand the outside world, and as follows, his guidance has borne fruit indeed, albeit the results may not be the expected ones.
Moving forward to the next element, let’s focus on the fuchsia ribbon wrapped around her wrist.
Very frequently, ribbons have a deep meaning in cultural contexts. They’re linked to protection and required to stave off evil spirits. A bit ironic considering that she has the vessels locked up while holding their confined area, while in reality, she herself is a container.
Ribbons are also related to awareness in terms of specific diseases. As we know, the Doll has difficulty with the movement of her legs and is thus obligated to use a wheelchair.
The ribbon placed on the right wrist has a symbolic connotation as well. In some cultures, the right side has always had the significance of authority, power, and strength. During the Judgment of Corruption era, the Clockworker Doll is notorious for taking Gallerian's place as the director of Evil’s Theater after his demise. She has an elevated authoritarian position over the inhabitants or ordinary people while announcing verdicts as she determines the consequences of the individual.
In Biblical comprehension, the “right hand of God” symbolizes a place of honor, status, and righteousness. The career of a judge is certainly seen as an honorable position in the eyes of the public, and as such, they have the duty to be impartial and to pass fair judgments for everyone according to the law.
However, what happens when there's no law to rely on? When the only teachings you can exercise are those grasped from the previous misguided director? This is the case of the Doll acting as the master of the court. She doesn't have a guide to inform her that what she's doing is ethically wrong. She isn't even aware of what's right and what's wrong given that she needs to be lectured about the moral standards of the world. Despite that, she continues to do what she retains right because of Gallerian’s tutoring, having reconsiderations at times and reaching out for help, albeit in vain.

A Collection of My Metas, Fics and Art that Feature the Women of The Sandman
I love the women of the Sandman. I write about them quite frequently, post art about them, write my fics from a female viewpoint (I’m mainly an OC writer though, but I have one-shots and poetry about canon characters).
So since we’ve been talking about them a lot over the past few days, here are all their tags (they contain both official and fanart, and every meta that features them enough for me to tag them), and all my metas, fics and poetry in which they are the main protagonist/character or at least strong focus.
I have posted art for literally all of the women in the Sandman and also written about most of them in one way or another, and you can find the ones that are missing here via my Sandman Tag Library (usually the ones that maybe haven’t been mentioned with a lot of depth or separate artwork). I think it’s normal and fair that we gravitate more towards some characters than others for personal reasons. It’s just the complete erasure of women that often gets to me.
I want to do more, but like every writer and curator, the disinterest in the women of the Sandman is often a bit discouraging. I haven’t given up hope we can change that…

You Look Like A Movie, You Sound Like A Song 2k @jonsastan
She had met Jon Targaryen there. It was a complete accident and at first, Sansa thought, a complete misfortune. He was drenched from an impromptu swim in his pond, and she was flustered, not wanting him to think she was vying for his attention. But as she had attempted to make her hurried escape, he had found her and invited her parents to stroll with him around the gardens. He had offered her kindness, and thoughtfulness, he had talked with her parents, discussed the present state of politics with her father and chatted knowledgeably about gardens with her mother.

Set in the countryside of Regency England, Jon Snow has been in love with Sansa Stark for as long as he can remember. He wants her as his wife, but Sansa is not sure she wants to be a wife at all, and she knows she doesn’t want to marry the pragmatic and boring Jon. She’d rather help Theon Greyjoy come out of his shell and play matchmaker. But then Jaime Lannister comes to town and Jon finds he has some serious competition for Sansa…

Manners and Misunderstandings 114k, WIP by @x-winging-it
The Stark sisters have travelled all the way to London to begin their first season, leaving behind the familiar world of Winterfell Hall and a disappointed Jon Stark- with whom the eldest Miss Stark has been convinced to break off a connection. In London they join family friends the Baratheons and the fashionable young Tyrells in a world of romance and balls. Meanwhile Gendry Waters has been plucked out of the life he knew to become his ailing father's heir, Robb, Theon and later Rickon embark on military careers in the Napoleonic wars, and their aunt Lysa makes a foolish marriage. When tragedy hits the family, they must come together, learning how manners may hide monsters and the best people are often those misunderstood by society.
You Could Draw Me to the Gallows 2k by @azulaahai
After having eloped from home with and subsequently been abandoned by wealthy heir Joffrey Baratheon, Sansa Stark refuses to come home. Having caused a scandal that is sure to prevent her from ever marrying, she is adamant not to bring further shame to the family name by returning to Winterfell. Until, that is, a visitor comes to her - Jon Snow, an old family friend, determined to bring Sansa with him back north. He has a solution to offer her - a proposal with the potential to change both of their lives.
A Perilous Dance Indeed & fiercely, tenderly and eternally 27k by @amymel86
He should either look away or interrupt this improper little meeting, he knows. For some unfathomable reason, he does neither. The two look far too intimate for Jon’s liking, although he feels he should have come to expect it to be so. A romantic like Sansa – however proper she is – would simply adore overt flirtations and a secret tête-à-tête. Even from where he stands, Jon can see the way in which she has stars set in her eyes like precious cut stones. He only hopes the man for whom they shine is deserving of it. *** Cousin Jon is to inherit Winterfell Manor and its estate after the untimely death of his uncle leaves a widow and two daughters. Sansa is expectant of an imminent proposal from her dear beau, Harrold Hardyng and everything will be absolutely, stunningly, utterly fine.
Waiting for Your Slippered Feet 49k by @wintry-ritu
Lady Sansa Stark has always looked forward to her come-out season in London, the balls, the rides in Hyde Park, evenings at Vauxhall, the romance and wonder of it all. Never had she imagined that it would happen like this, with her parents gone and her younger siblings underfoot. Now, all Sansa wants is for it all to be over quickly so she can get back to Winterfell. She needs a kind, amiable man who will be brave enough to take on his wife's siblings. That should not be so hard to find in London, should it? And while she is most grateful for Jon Targaryen's help, why must her cousin be so distracting?
To Make You Love Me 16k incomplete and orphaned
When Ned Stark dies, he leaves behind his wife, two daughters, and his family’s estate at Winterfell. What follows is a series of unwanted marriage proposals, houseguests who far outstay their welcome, and Arya parading around in a comically large hat and an oil-paint mustache as she declares herself the new ‘Lord of Winterfell,’ in an attempt to dissuade her sister’s suitors. However, when Mr. Jon Snow — their distant cousin and Ned’s appointed heir to the estate — comes to call, an oil-paint mustache is hardly enough to deter him from courting Miss Sansa Stark. And she thinks, perhaps, that a man could marry her for love more than her claim, after all.
Mine for a Season 101k by @vivilove-jonsa
Colonel Jon Targaryen is a single man in possession of a good fortune who claims no interest in finding himself a wife. With his war wounds, he thinks no young lady would want him anyway for anything beyond the allure of his pocketbook. Fortunately and unbeknownst to him, Fate has chosen to find a wife for him and will even deliver her right to his doorstep. Taking on the responsibility of shepherding a young lady about for a Season in London is not at all what Jon had wished to do but he had accepted out of a sense of familial duty. However, once he meets Sansa again after only having met her years ago as a child, he may not consider it a duty so much as a torment.
a lady of winterfell 185k, WIP by @wandering-scavenger
She bit her lip and exhaled shakily, “If you are so sickened by the prospect of marrying me, we should be able to obtain an annulment easily enough with your father’s connections.” “I will do no such thing.” he snapped, refusing to look at her. Sansa had never felt more rejected than she did at that moment. Her past experiences of being humiliated at the hand of Joffrey did not feel as painful as this. Even so, she could not allow him to see the weakness in her, not now. “I will not be left out, Jon.” she said, tilting her chin up to look down at him. He grimaced. They were silent for longer than she cared to count, but each second that he did not speak chipped away at her resolve and her ability to withhold her tears. Jon did not want her, and she could not blame him. Who could ever want her? It should not have distressed her as much as it did. She was never his favourite sister, she who treated him as a stranger since she was old enough to understand what a bastard was. A tear slipped down to her face until she tasted the salt of it on her lips. “If we marry, we will remain so.” corresponding gifset
moth's wings 47k by @cellsshapedlikestars
Sansa was determined to convince her aunt to let Arya debut, which is how she finds herself in her current predicament. “Who is this secret gentleman who has asked for your hand?” Aunt Lysa asks, and Sansa knows from her tone that she does not believe. (She has every right not to believe, for it is not true.) And then Sansa does something very, very foolish. She says a name. “The Duke of Dragonstone!” Or, Sansa fakes an engagement so that Arya can debut and marry the man she loves. The only problem? Her fake fiance just so happens to be in the city when he was not supposed to be.
An Understanding 2k, WIP by @thewolvescalledmehome
At the start of Sansa Stark's third London Season, she decides it will be her last. She will secure a husband by the end of the final ball. Jon Snow is new to the London Season and high society. He never expected to inherit money or property from an unknown uncle. When they meet at a ball, Sansa gets an idea.
you're in my blood like holy wine 72k
Sansa finds it difficult to look at Jon’s face, with its weathered lines and cragginess. It is the face of the North and a face that northerners trust; the face of Sansa’s brothers and her father, who had been loved and respected by their tenants as their forefathers had been when they were kings. How can Sansa feel anything but resentment, looking into that face and knowing that all of her years of hard work will never earn her the respect that that profile engenders within seconds? But she does. It is a small, burning coal of something that must be smothered.

Fun facts about my TWST prefect, Rosalie
No real story here. I just wanted to share some facts about the girl you'll see in some stories I write. Also, I am a HUGE OC yapper so if you're ever curious, feel free to ask in the ask box! :D
Tumblr media
1.) She's had her pink hair since she was 15 but she often used box dye much to Vil's horror. She also cuts her pixie cut herself too but originally (and much to Vil and Crewel's horror) she used kitchen scissors to get it and later school scissors. Thankfully Vil and Crewel HEAVILY drilled in the importance of proper hair care and they gave her a razor and barber sheers.
2.) Her original design looked a lot different and she was originally supposed to have more of a timid personality. I ended up going with a more boyish design so she wouldn't get detected considering that NRC is an all-boys school (No shame to anyone who has a more girly design for their OCs or Prefects. It's just a personal preference of mine and I just get super stubborn about canon details and what would work for her)
This was her prototype design (Like a lot of characters, I used a Picrew for the design). Some things remained the same like her pink hair, olive eyes, her round glasses, and her beauty mark near the corner of her eye but she is definitely a far cry from her original design. No lie, she looked really cute with it but she's definitely the OC that went through A LOT of changes both in looks and in personality. I do think Canon!Ro would definitely want to befriend her but Proto!Ro would be terrified of her.
Tumblr media
3.) Both in English and in Japanese, her voice HC has always been Doll from Black Butler. Matter of fact, I always imagined Rosalie with a very heavy Cockney accent that would slip out whenever she would get angry, or whenever she's around her brothers, sister, or her old caretaker. Whenever she's talking with friends or speaking a little quicker than normal, you can hear her drop her common RP accent she had to learn and you can hear the little traces of her actual accent slip through.
4.) She's a composite character so there isn't really a certain Disney character that she was based on. I will say though, Haruhi Fujioka, OG Mickey Mouse (the shorts where he's a chaos gremlin), Mary Poppins, and Thomas O'Malley were big inspirations for her personality.
5.) Minus Grim, Ace was actually the first person to figure out her gender followed by Deuce and Malleus. Ace and Deuce were completely by accident (during the Heartslabyul sleepover in book 1, Ace walked in on her changing and Deuce followed suit after hearing them screaming) while with Malleus, she was the one who slipped out her real voice and he heard her in Ramshackle's garden in Book 2 (curse the fact that fae have better hearing!).
6). Rosalie has been dancing ballet since she was a little kid but quit taking classes when she was 15 do to schooling reasons. The style she does is a bit more on par with Russian style due to her teacher being from there. She still has a bunch of spare pairs of pointe shoes and she always makes sure to practice as well as do her stretches to keep her body well-conditioned.
7.) Originally, Rosalie never had much of an interest in photography but playing around with the ghost camera fueled her interest in it. Of course, Rook was always happy to give her tips to help with getting the right angle and waiting for the proper moment. Now she acts as the school newspaper's photographer. Her favorite subjects to photograph are her dorm, abandoned ruins whenever Malleus takes her on night walks, and Grim when he's in a food coma.
8.) Her brothers are based off of Scat Cat and his band from The Aristocats. The five of them are also in a jazz band as well and Ro herself learned to play the trumpet from the ringleader of the gang, Sergei (unfortunately, I don't have artwork of any of them! 😭). Their names are as follows, Sergei, Jamie, Alfie, Jialun, and Misha.
9.) Aside from the first years and Diasomnia, Rosalie also has a pretty strong bond with Vil, Rook, and Azul. Vil often gave her tips to care for her hair, skin, and health especially since he found out that she's a ballet dancer. Rook bonded with her through trying to hone her skills in photography. As for Azul (despite the very odd friendship they have and the fact that he repoed her dorm in book 3) he would sometimes see Rosalie studying in the lounge while she's having tea but due to merfolk's love of music, they would recommend each other music since they're both fans of jazz and they both listen to a wide variety of music.
10.) Some of Rosalie's favorite dishes (especially her favorite, bulalo) are from The Philippines. While she herself isn't Filipino, the woman who looked after her since she was a child is half-Filipino and before the O'Malleys adopted her, she gave her a notebook containing all of her recipes so she could make them herself.
11.) Her original surname before being adopted by her first family was "Bess" (her bio mother's surname). She unfortunately went through five more last names before the O'Malleys became her forever home.
12.) Speaking of her mother, her bio mother was twisted from Edgar Balthazar. Only, thing is that I did make her a lot more arrogant and greedy compared to him especially when her ex-boyfriend (twisted from Madame Adelaide) gave his daughter all of his inheritance when it comes time for him to pass away.
13.) I actually NEVER intended for her and Malleus to be a couple and I originally just had them be close friends. Still, whether it was through events or the canon story, I really loved the dynamic Malleus and the MC had. What's also funny is that her sister met the same fate when I began shipping her with a certain con-man fox. Although alternate partners I thought of for Ro were Sebek and Ace.
14.) If you were to ask her about her gender identity, she has a very "eh" opinion of gender as a whole and feels like anyone should present themselves in a way that feels comfortable, but she's always viewed herself as a cisgender girl. Although, due to her rather boyish looks, she does sometimes get mistaken for a guy but she just shrugs it off.
15.) As for her attraction, she's on the AroAce spectrum. More on the grey sides for both but unsure of the proper microlabel. Malleus was the first (and in the future only) person she's ever felt any romantic affection towards.
16.) Out of all of the teachers, she trusts Professor Trein the most while Crowley, the least (especially after the events of Book 4 and all the times he made her do his dirty work while trying to survive in the musty, dusty, dilapidated dorm that HE placed her in!)
17. Although if there is one thing she's glad the headmage did for her even if it was to save his ass from a scandal of accidentally summoning a girl into an all-boys school, it was to prepare ALL the stops so make sure she's never found out by the entire school as well as give her special "care packages" every month. Thank goodness Trein's a single father and knows about what it's like dealing with teenage girls...
18. Rosalie is a MASSIVE fan of thrifting and antiquing. Back when she was still in Second Star (the first foster home she stayed in), clothes from charity shops were all that she could afford but she likes mixing and matching different styles and patterns to make something her own. I would say the decades she dresses the most often are the 60s (mostly taking a bit of inspiration from the Teddy Boy subculture), 70s, 80s, and early to mid 90s as well as copying some of the makeup styles from those eras. Matter of fact, one the thing she wants to do with Vil is take him thrift shopping in the rich neighborhoods since you can get some amazing authentic pieces there.
19. Ro can actually see somewhat okay without her glasses but it's not as good compared to when she has them on. I'd say her vision is around 20/40
20. Grim is definitely the person she cares about the most (as much as she lovingly refers to him as a stinky cat and playfully pokes fun at him) but as much as Grim often gets her into trouble, she really developed a huge soft spot for him and same could be said with him. It was to the point where even the thought of being without him or him being taken away again is enough to keep her awake at night.
