𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐎 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐃 , 𝐍𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 in fear before him , must have been maddening. especially for a person who seemed to thrive & rejoice in the suffering of other people. sansa remembers how she used to cower , how her eyes would advert , & how words would silently be whispered for him just leave her be. of course , she was a child then who had no family around her . . sansa isn’t a child anymore. she’s grown strong , she’s the queen of the north , & he’s nothing more than a traitor to the rightful queen & herself. the lannister name will die & only live amongst the history books now. joffrey continues his ranting , his attempts to wound her , but sansa doesn’t take hold of the bait. when the question is posed , the queen simply takes in a breath: ❛ i would give anything to be in this moment now. to know i’ve won against you , to feel the satisfaction i will when i take your head. ❜ the girl of kings landing wouldn’t have ever opened her mouth for fear of repercussions. ; hands clasp together at her front , woman taking a step toward him while pale sunlight from outside , it was heavily snowing , casts a blue hue on her features. steel composure , but a sense of calm anger. would that rattle him ? ❛ i remember how terrified i was of you , how scared that something i did would harm my family. ❜ sansa speaks with a confidence , with no fear this time ! ❛ you . . & your childish tantrums. you & your sadistic displays of behavior. ❜ jaw clenches , ❛ & now , you’re a prisoner. your family dead , your house to be forgotten save for history books. while i remain strong in spite of you. ❜ the biggest triumph. the same went for ramsay.

Batman gives each of his Robins a different code to use when they’re in trouble and need immediate extraction. He promises that when they call, he’ll drop everything just to get to them, come hell or high water.
Jason, during his time with the League, shares his code with Damian, to be used “only in the direst of circumstances, when you have exhausted all other options.” He doesn’t know if Bruce will answer, given how fractured their relationship was before he died, but it is better than nothing. Every tool counts when they live such dangerous lives.
Damian uses it exactly once, and Bruce, who still feels the loss of his son like a yawning chasm in his chest, responds to it even though he knows it can’t be Jason because Jason’s dead. What he finds, instead of Jason, is a boy in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-small feet, with a face that Bruce sees himself and Talia in, requesting asylum from a grandfather who wishes to possess his body. Bruce doesn’t question how this boy who is so clearly his son knew the code. Talia al Ghul is resourceful and places family above all; the code is not beyond her abilities to discover, and she is not above using Bruce’s desperate love for his dead son to ensure that hers does not meet the same fate.
Bruce takes Damian in, because of course he does, and since Jason is dead he allows Damian to keep using the code. After all, it’s not like Jason is alive to use it, right? If someone uses the code, there’s no one it could be but Damian, right?
The next time the code is used, Bruce traces the location to Gotham even though Damian was supposed to be in Bludhaven visiting Dick. But whatever happened that resulted in Damian being in Gotham can wait, because he has already failed one son and he will not fail another, his son is in trouble and he needs to get to him, he needs to—
What he finds, instead of Damian, is a boy (just eighteen, too young, but also too old, but also he will always be a boy to him) in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-large feet (when had he gotten so big), wearing the face of his dead son.
(Who, maybe, just maybe, may no longer be so dead.)

In all seriousness, here are a few resources I think are helpful with regards to understanding just how thoroughly Henry Kissinger screwed the world over:
Kissinger by Behind the Bastards. This is a 6 part series done by the podcast Behind the Bastards, with the hosts of The Dollop on as guests. It's super funny and a very accessible foothold into understanding the scope of Kissinger's vast career.
Kissinger's Shadow by Greg Grandin. This book provides an in-depth analysis of Kissinger's tenure in the White House, covering both how he got into office, the changes he made in office, the policies he put forth, and their repercussions on the world.
ETAN's category on Kissinger. The East Timor and Indonesia Action Network has long been an outspoken critic of Kissinger's, and they've aggregated a lot of helpful articles here.
The Trial of Henry Kissinger by Christopher Hitchins. While Grandin's book focuses less on the specificities of Kissinger's crimes, Hitchins has no such qualms and details each of them in depth.
I truly think understanding Kissinger, the way he thought, and the things that he did, are all indispensable when it comes to understanding the modern political climate and how foreign policy works in America and therefore, by necessity, in the world at large. The sheer amount of damage he was responsible for should never be underestimated.

Obsessed with the way Vicodin is such a huge piece of symbolism in House’s relationships. Like. Cuddy left him because he relapsed. She told him that he took the Vicodin to avoid pain, because pain means you care and he wasn’t willing to do that. We’ve seen throughout the show how House’s emotional pain manifests as physical, increasing whenever he feels guilt or anger or sadness or fear. Keep in mind this was while Cuddy was worried she might have cancer.
And then Wilson ACTUALLY gets cancer, and House treats him at his apartment, and he feeds him Vicodin. Because Wilson is in pain, and he’s always the one who cares so much, and it’s House’s turn to take that away. And House doesn’t take any Vicodin. He feels the pain so Wilson’s is lessened, because he CARES. They make a point to show that he is willing to care, willing to take on that burden for him.
House will do anything to stop the pain, unless it makes Wilson suffer.
