I will never not be upset with what they did, or should I say didn't do, with Joxer's character.
I understand the show is about Xena and Gabrielle and their relationship; however, because they on multiple occasions showed us that in the future it's always the three of them, I wish Joxer got a better arc than just accepting that Gabrielle didn't love him, even though that is an important aspect to his character growth.
He just needed something else, something big to prove and further solidify why he belongs with Xena and Gabrielle, to make him important in the Xena Scrolls and Xena's story as a whole. Why is it the three of them in every universe and not just Xena and Gabrielle? I just wish we got to see a character arc from him that showed that.
