Richie: Yeah, but you love it.
Carmy: That doesn't make it fun.
Richie: If this shit is not fun for you, cousin, what the fսck is fun for you?
Carmy: I don't know. I have to get back to you on that.
Pasta season 2 episode 2
Thank you @mod-doodles for discovering this.
Carmy: Taste of Chicago. The booth.
Richie and Nat: The booth. ( chuckles )
Carmy:That was really fun.
A beat.
Sydney's head slowly gets into the frame.
Carmy Passes the hat on to richie- as if it's Richie turn to face the past and grieve.
Carmy: Here you go.
(To sydney) Yo, you wanna work at the apartment?
(Syd and Carmy spend time at the apartment. They bond - build on their partnership. Carmy is relaxed, present, and engaged. )

SUNDAE episode 2x03
Carmy: : I Googled "fun"(remember Sydney's arrives when he mentions the last time he had fun)
... the other day. "...what provides amusement or enjoyment."
That's what it means. I am, uh, currently opening a restaurant that's providing zero amusement or enjoyment. Um... No, no, I'm kidding, it's, um... it's okay. I'm, uh... I don't know, I-I-I'm trying to start from a-a healthy place.
A-a-a positive place. And, um... yeah, that's the goal, right? I think when I was a kid, um, anything that would give me any sort of excitement or-or-or amusement or enjoyment, uh, it always got kinda fսckеd... But I-I think... sometimes they just, they try too hard. You know, or they'd make promises that they weren't able to keep.
Have to remind myself to breathe sometimes. I, um, have to remind myself to, uh... to be present, you know.
(Fast forward to when Carmy thinks of Sydney in 2x09 and 3x03 in his panic attacks to be present)
... I think, um... You know, maybe if I could provide more-more-more amusement or-or enjoyment for myself, it would be easier to, uh, to provide for others, you know.
Fast forward to spending time with Sydney looking for inspiration and makes a suggestion (let's be real he asks her out)
-Claire calls.
-Claire asks if he's okay with her having his number.
-Carmy practically follows along
-Carmy decides to help claire move.
Going back to what he said in the al anon meeting:
...I think when I was a kid, um, anything that would give me any sort of excitement or-or-or amusement or enjoyment, uh, it always got kinda fսckеd...
Except it's not his family this time fucking over fun or amusement (or are they? Looking at you Faks). It's carmy fucking over fun and amusement-joy. It's wasting his time with Claire to unconsciously fuck up spending time with Sydney, getting to know her, providing fun and amusement, and loving her, which would awaken his passion for life and continue to be as inspired and spontaneous as the day he created her favorite dish.
His instincts are telling him how great this partnership could be, yet he's been sabotaging it since she first walked in and he felt good feelings around her.
But are we deceived into thinking that Claire represents joy and amusement? Is this a sleight of hand?

A random obsession of mine for years has been to eat at the Hard Rock Café in Copenhagen. Always something in the way every time I was in CPH, so I never got around to it.
Until now! After the closing ceremony at jpopcon, I headed straight to the Hard Rock Café, even got a discount coupon for a free dessert with a main course!
Enjoyed me some overpriced junk food at last, in a restaurant with too loud music. Was wonderful, can finally knock it off my buckitlist. Even got a souvenir with me.

BREAD WASTE PASTA: THE BEAR COPENHAGEN
So this organization that makes pasta out of bread waste had some of the bear crew try out the pasta
Tell me why Carmy was cracking me up?!!?!
From these cans
Here are some reactions
I believe Claire was in the background somewhere.
I'm not one hundred percent sure.
So they were being filmed by the organization and they all said it was great.
They ate it raw.
I dunno why but I chuckled at Carmy's expression even though he said it was good.
Because you know when you're put on the spot and the people are in your face...
I actually was cracking up looking at Carmy's face
