my Sasha plush should be coming in today!!!
I've waited over a month for it, in part due to Hurricane Milton/Helene, and i'm so excited for it to finally get here!!! On the subject of copinglinks, having my ID in plush form is something that I know will help me greatly! 💗🩷

I’m so happy with how I look now.
So today I went to get a haircut —tomboy sidetails haircut being exact— and when I saw me in the mirror it was the first time in forever that I recognized myself.
Sure this human form isn’t ideal but it is me now, or at least similar to me. The body still needs work to be perfect but I am taking steps towards it.
I am happy… I am me

Species Euphoria
Unfortunately, often, I feel very dysphoric. However, something quite different happened earlier, but it was not unpleasant, I think I recognized this feeling... it's species euphoria.
I was walking around the city with my friends (something I'm not used to doing because my parents are strict and I don't really feel comfortable with people who don't know that I am alterhuman), the sun was beginning to go down in the sky, which lengthened the shadows of my small town, we went to a park with lots of trees and bushes. It made me very shifty, because my theriotype lives in the forest and is crepuscular. My best friend started climbing a tree, I couldn't help but do the same, because I really love doing that (maybe because I'm a feline).
We then went to the store where we saw beautiful stuffed animals of tigers, panthers, etc. and one of the people I was with said "oh it looks like [my real name]! Cute on the outside, wild and strong inside" I felt so good at that moment! She can't know how much her words are how I feel! (besides almost everyone I know compares me to a feline without knowing that I am therian, while I hide my shifts and I take care to appear a minimum "normal", I find that funny). Then we bought some chips and Monster (I had never tasted this drink because my parents... you know. Well, I like it) I felt free, for the first time in a long time. I saw the world differently, finally, human life is not always a cage, finally, life has a taste, finally, life can be worth living, and I decided that it would be the case for mine. Finally, dysphoria is not invincible. Now I look at life with envy, with excitement, and no longer with fear.
We tend to forget it, with this dysphoria, this feeling of euphoria.
Life is beautiful, even if it can have bad sides.
But it is thanks to these bad sides that we realize how fantastic the rest is.
I know very well that it is difficult, even impossible to believe it, with this dysphoria that hides your view. But it is real, even if you think you feel too bad to have this felling.
I really wish you to experience this wonderful thing, it is truly this thing that gives meaning to my life, and surely to others.
Take a moment for yourself, treat yourself, go out with friends if you want, or just go out in nature, in short, treat yourself, it's important. You are important, and you deserve to feel good.

For this post I thought I’d show some of my favorite kin affirming outfits. I’m picky when it comes to merch, I’d rather wear outfits that I wore in canon, or something that resembles my style.

Nonhumanity Induced Gender Euphoria
Having nonhuman features as a trans person can be so gender affirming, even if complicated in my case. I might be in an AFAB human body, but I'm clearly a male cardinal because my feathers are bright red in headspace. This might not apply to all trans nonhumans of course, but I'm talking about personal experience here.
See, I'm a multifictive of two characters. One is an (arguably non)human-esque guy (Hunter), another is a little red cardinal (Flapjack). I'm in a way, a fusion of both, while having memories of being both separately as well. Not canon to my source, but we became one in our memories.
From my memories of me being Hunter, I was transmasc. I wasn't born as a guy, so I did my best to transition. Complications of circumstances aside, I presented as masculine and overall it was okay. Dysphoria was a bitch but I was managing as best I could with all the other stressors going on in my life.
As Flapjack, I was male and cis. While I was just a bird, I was a magic bird, and one with a different level of thinking and capabilities. I didn't question my gender at all, I was comfortable. I don't think I paid much mind to Hunter's either, if I even knew back then that he/I was not cis.
After we became one person in source... Well, I kept my humanoid form but grew red feathers all over my body, as well as claws, a tail and wings too. My humanoid gender features that I had already didn't change, but I gained the distinctive red feathers of a male cardinal. While that might have made my biological gender more complex, it made me as a whole feel euphoria anyway.
I still feel it here too. Even if I have the same body in headspace and even if my physical body is AFAB again, I still have my red feathers inside. I don't identify wholly as a man and am more xenogender than anything, but I enjoy feeling more masculine and being able to present that way.
I'm not the only one who feels gender euphoria from their kintypes/other nonhuman identities though. It's not the most common thing within our system but it's something we experience enough that it does impact us and how we feel.
A lot of people who have antlers feel validated in their masculine identity, for one big example. Obviously antlers meaning a thing is male depends on the species but for the purpose of feeling euphoria, it doesn't matter too much if you're not sure if you even fit any earthen species.
Some of us feel more validated by being spikier or fluffier or having certain colours or patterns. Things that aren't really applicable to human concepts of gender. Being nonhuman for some people means that they have many more ways to express their gender, and I think that's wonderful.

Species (or fictionkin) euphoria was when I found a Chara fictionkin and we compared memories and found out that we used to be siblings in our past lives. I could never be happier -Asriel

A list of weird things that have recently given me kin euphoria (as Viktor): * I let my hair grow out a little too long but then the s2 episodes came out and I went... oh, maybe this is fine for a little while longer. * Got too distracted by science and forgot to eat breakfast (Fixed this with brunch) * Spent an evening laying down recharging with video essays (also about science) because I messed up my back somehow
