Today I was at spencer's, and out of the corner of my eye I spot a younger kid (maybe 13-14?) With a tail. Now I know historically they've been used as fashion, but regardless I gave them a compliment, just a simple "I like your tail!" They thanked me and walked off, as an awkward teen would, but it really got me thinking.

I probably don't come across as someone who would be a therian, or anything like that, so I can imagine it would be a bit shocking to hear out of the blue.

I guess what I'm saying is that you never really know who around you is alterhuman, and if you ever feel alone, you could be standing next to a Bear, or a Jaguar, or in this case a house cat. We're all around, and it's nice to think about in that way.

Question, is bloodmoon your sona? Or do you have another one?

Bloodmoon is my sona yes! I often refer to them as a cracksona (and they were mainly that originally) but over time they've become a full fledged sona jfkhg

I do have another sona but they are pretty much the same character as Bloodmoon - their lore is basically they a shapeshifting fairy dragon and their form changed after nearly a year of hanging out and bonding with Sun and Moon

It's why Bloodmoon has ears, a tail and little dragon wings on their back gfjkgh they are leftover traits of their previous form

A couple of days ago i felt so apathetic and thought that my hyperfixation on clone high is leaving me forever, i didn't want to rewatch the show, to see any fanart on pinterest, i marked some edits on tiktok as "not interesting", I even changed my wallpaper from clone high fanart to something else, that made me so depressed, i was like "It's over....... isn't it....."

Yesterday evening i spent inking the last pages of the third part of E!280 and listening to abandoned pools, especially the clone high intro, i replayed it like 5 times.

And you know what? WE'RE SO FUCKING BACK!!!! I feel alive again, the intro literally healed me and I want to rewatch the first season today after I come back home from college.

This fandom keeps leaving my mind and coming back for four years straight, and every time I'm reminded of clone high, i remember why I love this show so much. I've never felt such a connection with a cartoon before 🥺

It's so funny, it has cool characters, the satire, the artstyle!! I know some cartoons are objectively better (especially compared to the newer seasons), but clone high is forever in my heart and lives in my head rent-free. And I don't mind.

But in all seriousness (referring to the last post), my phantom feathers have been floofing much more often lately and it's always a weird feeling. They move and are meant to warm me, but they're not there. Like invisible goosebumps that don't even do anything.

I always have phantom feathers, and I floof involuntarily for a lot of reasons--angry, cold, sick, upset in general, you get the idea. Nothing bothers me as much as the cold one though, because they're meant to make me warm, but no matter how much they try, they can't warm my actual body.

I like layering coats and shirts to feel warmer but it's not quite the same. Wearing a shirt and jacket combination that matches my feather colours helps a little, but it's still not right. It's like missing having fur, really, except no one sells feather-lined jackets. Jackets with feathers in them are a thing, sure, but you won't get fluffy feather collars or comfy feather linings on your clothes.

I have feathers in headspace, and my body is basically human plus wings, antlers, a tail and feathers. Which adds an extra air of weirdness to this--I'm so close to feeling right, the shape is okay and I can handle my legs being plantigrade or not having my wings, but I'm missing such a basic part of myself when I front.

I'm happy I can have phantom shifts to feel them at the very least, but it still feels weird. Bittersweet, in a way? I can't have friends or partners preen my feathers in the front, I can't give warm wing hugs, I can't floof them voluntarily for dramatic effect. There's so many ways I can't be fully me without them--they're my emotions, my flight and my warmth.

It's just weird.
