have you tried to glow up before, only to fail to see results, feel unmotivated and give up? realise that you don’t actually have the energy or motivation or discipline to suddenly change your life? this guide is meant to help you glow up at your own pace - treat it as a checklist or pick a few tasks from each section! whatever speed you move at remember that any progress is positive. feel proud of yourself angel - 2025 is your year!
PREPARING ⋆.˚
research, research, research!! this is the best way to actually create a plan/guide and have it stick for you. here are some of my planning video recommendations:

after you’ve watched some videos, read some posts and articles now it’s time to start specifically planning for YOU, here are my favourite things to do:
make a vision board.
buy or source what you’ll need (e.g a gym membership, a waterbottle). treat yourself as much as you can!
clean and tidy your space.
sort through your drawers, clothes and so on. donate what you can and clear some space out.
make a playlist full of motivational songs and the energy you want to bring into the new year.
have an everything shower - feel your cleanest and best for your new goals.
make a pinterest board with a section for every specific goal you have.
make a planner or organiser. write down all of your goals, ideas and plans. start journalling about how you will achieve them and how the you of the future will look having achieved them all!
research and find apps, youtubers or guides specific for your goals that can continue to help you feel motivated and energised.

HEALTH ⋆.˚
your health should be your priority this year! you cant glow up mentally, physically or spiritually unless your body is functioning at its best. here are some essential health focused habits to adopt so you can be your best in every single way:
walk a minimum of 5k steps a day.
drink 2 litres of water a day.
stop skipping meals! having three meals a day ensures that your body is running at its best and functioning how it should.
at least two servings of fruit or veggies per meal.
adding vitamins or supplements in your diet when you can.
yoga every morning and evening.
outside time every day.
find a workout plan that works for you and your lifestyle.
try to eat cleaner, avoid super sugary foods, fast food, anything that stops your from feeling your best.
plan your meals in advance.
have an early night - get at least 7-8 hours.
reduce your caffeine where possible, try herbal teas, matcha and so on.
emphasise a balanced diet and plate.
practice meditation and breathing.
stretch before and after every workout.
stop using screens at least an hour before you go to bed.
cook more - stop buying takeout or ready meals as much as possible.
have rest days, your body and muscles need some time to recover.
change your attitude! workout because you love your body not because you hate it.

gua sha routine 3-4 times a week.
double cleanse to remove makeup, spf etc.

moisturise twice a day to keep skin hydrated.
perfect your makeup and skincare routine.
gently pluck eyebrows to keep them more clean.
face mask once a week.
spot treatments where needed.
lip masks/treatments regularly.
silk pillowcase to prevent acne!
washing hands before touching face.
use a facial oil.
try regular face massages.
hair
invest in a bonnet or silk hair ties.
sleep in a protective style.
try out new hair styles to fit your hair type!
double cleanse with shampoo.
hair masks and oils pre wash.
heat protectant whenever you use heat.
embracing your natural hair.

to glow up properly i really believe you need to have a mental glow up as well! your mental health and wellbeing is so deeply important and such a good thing to prioritise as much as possible. here are my suggestions to help you get a mental shift/change:
read every day. set a goal and achieve it.
journal every day.
watch more long form content - avoid short form.
plan your future/dream life, what mental goals will you need to achieve?
socialise more when possible, surround yourself with good and rewarding people.
learn a new hobby or skill, such as learning a new language!
become more curious, ask yourself why. learn about what interests you.
visit libraries more.
set your school device up to maximise your academic productivity!
learn to love and cherish your alone time.
take mental health walks.
find podcasts and audiobooks that interest you.
set time limits on apps like tiktok and so on that suck you in too much, they are time wasters.
read the news/news articles mores.
find a calendar and prep your days and weeks ahead of time.
set up a notion!
follow creators who inspire you positively and are healthy for you to engage with.
cut out bad habits and people.
fix your sleep schedule, dedicate your evenings just for you!
become more ‘cultured’ visit museums, read more and educate yourself.

After four very long arduous months I finally finished Enterprise and the review is (tw this is probably gonna be super unpopular. If you like it great, wish I could say the same):
- I hated it.
- the men were so wildly uninteresting that I have to physically hold in a yawn (except for Phlox. He’s cool And Travis bc I could trust him with a drink)
-Malcom was cool for like three seconds and then they decided oh wait we have to have a creep in this show too. so at least Star Trek is consistent. No amount of introducing the random Section 31 plot for like the last five episodes of season 4 will ever make him interesting to me. Like they should have developed him wayyyyyyyyy earlier
- Trip sucked for like two seasons. He was a micro aggressive little Republican and then just when I thought I hated him, he grew on me like one of those pimples that turns into a dark spot acne scar that I can’t get rid of. I was so vehemently against T’Pol x Trip. The neuropressure felt like dubious consent. He has PTSD. T’Pol’s written to serve the men on the ship. Like I hated it. And then the Lower Decks episode came out right at the time when I was on the episodes where T’Pol was going through withdrawal and Trip kept asking her if she was okay when literally NOBODY else did. (Except Phlox but that really doesn’t count bc that’s her father figure/doctor) Then he kept changing and getting soft and shit and next thing I knew I was in love with him too. Gross.
- sidenote real fast on that note. The bar is incredibly fucking low, fellas. T’Pol should have been getting that treatment from the start. I get it. We all love an enemies to friends to lovers but that could have been portrayed better. I realized I’m just hungry for a gentle relationship from Star Trek. Like a truly gentle and respectful relationship. Odo and Kira kind of scratch that itch but then they separate them. Dax and her lovers (excluding Ezri and Julian bc fucking no thanks) are cool but then they kill Jadzia. Kirk and Spock are so very gentle and then we can never quite get them to stick. But I realized, since starting my journey, I’m just hungry for gentleness that sticks. No miscommunication trope. No this is starfleet we don’t have time for relationships. No horrible death or departure that separates them forever. That’s why this fandom freaks out when something becomes canon or semi canon. We are starved for that representation or actual meaningful partnership. They got the friendship and parenthood thing on lock for the most part, I just wish they had good relationships without the added baggage. I get it, it’s a soap space opera. But bro, it’s so hard to find gentleness, for the female characters especially.
- anyway, back to Trip. Really tired of Star Trek making men blow up. And that’s all I’m gonna comment about his death. I’m like 20 years too late to yap about the series finale. You’ve heard it all before. It was ass just like the show idk what more to say
- Archer succccckkkkkkkkkkssssssssss. I’m sorry I’m truly sorry, but I just couldn’t get behind him. The writers kept trying to convince me he was this suave guy, and I wasn’t buying it, bc that’s just not who Scott Bakula is. They would just have him so cold in some places and it never felt right bc Scott just isn’t that guy. It seemed like they were very confused with how they wanted him. All of Archer’s romances were so pointless and boring. The way he treated T’Pol was so fucking disgusting and the forced romantic tension that you guys warned me about felt even worse, especially given how T’Pol is treated for a while. I really don’t like his, there’s no way out just do it attitude. Bc it’s always at the risk of someone else’s deteriorating health or mental health or even his life. You can tell he’s just very disillusioned by the badge. To me anyway. And I just don’t agree with that logic. Hoshi may have been the only one to decrypt but she was so heavily tortured and exhausted to the point where several people were telling Archer that she should not do this and Archer had a boot so far in his mouth he really couldn’t care what happened to her. When he kept begging Hoshi to finish, is when I lost my respect. That’s just something that wouldn’t happen with anybody else. I try not to compare every captain with one another, but nah. This time I couldn’t. Didn’t like him. Thought he was boring and weird. Scott Bakula this isn’t about you sweetie, you were amazing. I just wish they would have figured out what they wanted your character to be sooner.
- this show had a big misogyny problem. Like worse than any of the other ones before. Just like you can pinpoint when Gene Roddenberry dies because the light returns to the female characters, you can pinpoint exactly where Rick Berman is like “enough of this female empowerment shit”. T’Pol suffered and I mean suffered more than any other female character I’ve EVER seen on this show. I can’t imagine it was great for the actress, and I haven’t looked into the drama on this show particularly yet. But I’ve heard from the grapevine, it’s not great. It’s sad, because T’Pol is an amazing complex character and they drop the ball every single time. I genuinely started the all T’Pol does is suffer tag bc I just couldn’t believe it. I’m not gonna go too much more into it. I’m just saddened and sickened by it.
- overall, the show was a colorless, boring, hot mess. I think fandom is what makes it interesting. It didn’t get good for me until like the last seven episodes or so of Season 4. It never picked up for me. It made me angry. It didn’t feel like Star Trek. I guess in parts it felt like TOS trek but like the worst parts of tos trek so I guess berman succeeded at one thing with the show. You can tell they are on a tight leash. My partner called it the incel version of Star Trek bc he watched only a couple of episodes and hated it. It had its good moments but they were far too little and fleeting. They also have some really good complex characters, ie Hoshi, Phlox, T’Pol, Trip. Travis was cool why couldn’t we had more Travis??? Idk, it was just not my thing like AT ALL. Again, if you like it great. I wish I did
I like how they delve deeper into the Vulcans and the Andorians. I’m still confused asf about the temporal time shit like Wesley crusher might as well be doctor who to me now bc none of it makes any sense and I still think it’s a mistake to have it. You can tell that the studio kind of had enterprise under a tight lock and key. But overall, it’s such a male driven show. I tried watching interviews with the cast all together and I still don’t like the vibes. The cast together itself is just wasted potential. They all are great individually but the studio really let them down. Idk could have been better I really am trying to find something positive to say but as a female fan of Star Trek I just didn’t like it. I can’t look beyond how female characters are treated. Just didn’t like it

Inkling HRT 02: New Friends
Silver has her 3 month appointment, as her transition is going smoothly. Meanwhile she works to find an online support group and make new friends
Inkling HRT: Month 3
-Beak and radula have fully formed! No more teeth brushing, but stuff gets stuck in the radula :p
-Head-tentacles are starting to form, they’re this really pretty light blue with a darker blue gradient at the end
-Skin is a lot smoother and acne cleared up
-Eyes turning silver? Like my name.
-Ends of ears are pointed!
-Mainly waiting on the photophores and shapeshifting now…
Silver was not looking forwards to her 3 month follow-up with the doctor. But wasn't that a given? Erian's methods were sketchy, advice questionable at best, hell, his office was in a back alley, and not able to be viewed on Google Maps. Silver had no idea how he wasn't arrested for some medical malpractice type bullshit, but well.
It worked.
She runs a hand down the ends of her hair, starting to form into head-tentacles. Feeling the cold and slightly squishy skin, which is a light blue in color.
She makes sure her camera is on, link open.
Silver takes a breath.

“Ah, hello Silver. I'm glad to see your treatment going well.”
The doctor nods, and Silver can hear his fingers tapping on the table.
“I'm aware. Though I've got to ask, you mentioned a lot of painful internal changes- how do I deal with those?”
“Oh yes. 6 months in. You'll be getting painkillers around that time. I assume you have somebody to look after you during this window?”
“I have a roommate who can. I trust him.”
“Good.”
The air is quiet for a few seconds.
“Are there any online or in person support groups for this treatment?” Silver asks. It's something she's thought about for a while- being able to talk with people like her, choosing to shed their humanity in exchange for something more comfortable.
“I unfortunately have... some laws I must follow. So you will have to look on your own.”
Silver groans.
“But I'm sure it'll be fast. Anyways. Your refills should be able to be picked up in a week, and I will be seeing you in a few months- before the internal changes start to kick in. Goodbye, Silver.”
“Goodbye.”

Once Silver closes out of the zoom call with Doc Eria, she can feel a weight lift off her shoulders. Being around him was always so stressful, even a bit meddlesome.
Luckily he'd be off her back for a few months now.
Silver then opens up her browser, and starts searching up terms.
“Human Replacement support group”
“Furry HRT Chatroom”
“Human Replacement Discord Server”
It's hard, but soon she finds it. A small community online, only about 30 people- targeted at those going through humanity removal, or are considering it.
Needless to say, the young woman joins.
It's what one expects from a Discord server, with a few extra rules around not making assumptions around species, be kind to those considering humanity removal, the like.
Silver verifies she read the rules, and then makes an intro post.
“Hello! Or should I say woomy? Anyways, I'm Silver, 3 months into Inkling HRT (Firefly squid). Was looking for a community or support group, and here I am! It's so nice to meet all of you!”
Silver then starts to browse the server, coming across a section for questions.
“Hello! So, during my first appointment, my doctor said I was lucky to not have a 'crossroads state'- what was he talking about?”
She checks her intro, with squid and paintbrush reactions, which seems fitting enough.
Then she gets her answer.
“It's mainly a thing in people transitiooing to a non-humanoid species; assuming that's why he said you didn't have one. Basically, it's a point where the person must consider if they want to fully shed their humanity and live their lives out as that animal, or just be an 'anthro' version of it.”
Silver is a bit surprised. It. It sounds like a lot to the woman. But she also understands in a way- wanting to fully shed your humanity, run away, and never look back.
“I see. I guess I also have another thing. My medication set comes with this crystaline pills. My roomate has made so many Breaking Bad jokes but I have no idea what the hell it does.”
She leaves it at that. Besides, it's time for dinner anyways.

“So, how did the meeting go?”
Silver sits down at the dinner table of her apartment, where her roomate Bradley is cooking food. The two weren't dating or anything along those lines- just living in the same place and splitting the rent. Bradley had been fairly encouraging of Silver's transition; even if he was a little confused, he got the spirit.
“The doc wants you looking after me in about 3 months from now. Since apparently I might be in a lot of pain during that time period.”
“You know why?”
“Inklings have different organs, 3 hearts, no bones, and assuming that's gonna be what happens to me.”
“Ouch. But yeah, can take a bit off work for it, or can grab one of my friends to also help.”
“That would be nice. What's for dinner?”
“Pasta. Made crab ravioli.”
“Nice.”
Bradley take a pot off the stove, and splits the ravioli between two plates.
“Bon appitiet.”
The two eat in silence, with Silver focusing on her food. She had been eating a lot more lately, with the pamohlet saying it had to do with increased metabolism. She had also started to eat more seafood- to the point where stuff like vegtables barely seemed appetizing.
At least she could eat carbs in moderation.
Once she's done, Silver puts her dish in the dishwasher, and heads to her room.

Her question was answered while she was eating with Bradley, by a user with a wolf profile picture.
“Oh, I've heard about that from people transitioning to more fantastical species. Like dragons and stuff. It does a funky thing with DNA but I'm not the person to ask about that stuff.”
“I see. Interesting.”

yo! how long have you been on hrt? if at all, and any advice to those who want to get on it and what they should maybe expect/consider?
as of now I’ve been on HRT for around 3 years? I use the gel and put in on my shoulders every night :)
anyone who wants hrt should always research physical changes!!! for testosterone specifically (only hrt I know myself lol), you should keep in mind that you will likely get thirsty easier, sweat a lot more, and of course the acne lol. for a while my throat also began to hurt just because my body wasn’t used to the deep voice. essentially going on puberty. some people also experience pain in their groin from bottom growth! (I didn’t)
I would also consider that a lot of it honestly depends on your genetics. I’ve been hairy my whole life, so growing hairy legs and arms didn’t take long at all.
you should also consider how fast you need the treatment to work. I’m okay with it taking its time, so I’m doing the gel, and as a plus I avoid the shots. but shots are generally a more faster way of getting the usual desired effects (deeper voice, facial hair, etc).
your weight might also fluctuate! I don’t think it necessarily makes you gain weight, but the distribution will be different, and you might gain muscle easier.
Also I have shoulder hair now so yeah :)
