I find it funny that some anti-therians say stuff like “well, you can’t be an animal, because if I put you out in the woods right now you wouldn’t be able to survive!!” Like… yeah. If you take a fox and force it to live in a house with humans for its whole life, it won’t be able to survive in the wild. That doesn’t make it not a fox???

Honestly, being an adult who is also a therian/otherkin is a wild experience. Like, I didn't know there was a term for being who I was until I hit adulthood, so I never really got to explore what it really means to me to be alterhuman until later in life (which is now).

Am I grateful for me being able to find a term that explains my experience with being something nonhuman? Yeah, I am because I would have wondered if there was something wrong with me instead of being "Hey, there's nothing wrong with me, my experience is just better explained by this instead."
