I just want to say that I personally disagree with the claims that Stolas is a coercive rapist. You don't have to agree with me. I just want to share my perspective. Alright, here we go.
Let's start at Harvest Moon Festival: 'When this happens, it's not really something I fuss about...' and 'Well, I'm not a fan of someone I offered a job to about to off my easiest lengthy ticket to Earth behind my back.' Notice how Blitz says 'easiest lengthy ticket' here, not 'only ticket', and Blitz knows about Asmodean Crystals, as evidenced by Unhappy Campers where he forces someone to use it to create a portal to the living world, so the Grimoire was never the only option Blitz could've used to run I.M.P. Sure losing the grimoire would've disrupted business for a bit, but again, it was never Blitz's only option. It's also been confirmed in Ghostfuckers that I.M.P used to assassin jobs in Hell before Blitz got the Grimoire from Stolas, I.M.P was running fine without the Grimoire, if Blitz couldn't get his hands on the Grimoire or the Asmodeun Crystal he and his could always just run missions in Hell, so the coercion argument already falls flat there, but let's beat it up a bit further shall we?
Now let's look at Ozzies, at the ending of it Stolas never pressures or forces Blitz into having sex with him or quote 'We could talk, or… watch a movie, or… maybe cuddle?', Blitz turns Stolas down here, and Stolas never forces or pressures Blitz into doing said things with him, and you know what this also proves? It proves that Blitz has always the self-agency to tell Stolas 'no I don't want to fuck you', which also shows that Blitz actually wanted to have sex with Stolas, which we can prove by the text messages Stolas and Blitz had after Ozzie's.
The text messages at the end of Western Energy show that Stolas is actively giving Blitz the option to not fuck him, which also tells us that Blitz always had the option to tell Stolas no, and hell, we can see in the All 2 U song that Blitz turned down Stolas most likely asking Blitz to stay after the sex, proving even further Blitz always had the self-agency to tell Stolas no, which shows that Blitz wanted to have sex with Stolas.
And I'm not even counting everything about what happened in Full Moon episode. Blitz literally sings about how much he enjoys sex with Stolas, spends the whole day buying things to use on Stolas, begged for Stolas to keep the deal, said multiple times about how much the deal is something he enjoyed and wanted to keep, and told Loona and M&M about how Stolas never forced anything on him which lead to months without intimacy between them. Where is the coercion??? Simply, it's not there.
Now let's look at Apology Tour, Blitz wants the arrangement back, to fuck Stolas again. Which tells us something that the people peddling the bullshit 'Stolas is a rapist' argument entirely ignore, Blitz is the one unhappy with the arrangement ending, not Stolas, Blitz.
Also, Blitz has the Asmodeun Crystal by this point, he could've easily have just told Stolas to fuck off and leave if he was truly being coerced and raped by him, but he chooses to stay because at this point he thinks this gesture is a farewell gift from Stolas, and it's been made very clear that Blitz has strong feelings for Stolas by this point despite his self-hatred, that he doesn't want to lose Stolas, which also helps to further prove that Blitz wanted to have sex with Stolas out of his entire free will.
Blitz having sex with Stolas was a way for Blitz to be close to Stolas without having to be vulnerable, and when Stolas gets rid of the arrangement Blitz is scared because it would force Blitz to be vulnerable towards Stolas.
Is all of this really the behavior of a person who felt coerced into sex he didn't want to have? Because I think it's pretty clear that Blitz at no point felt coerced into having sex with Stolas, and the people that claim otherwise I have good grounds to believe aren't even watching the same show anymore.
i think i can sum up everything you said here, from my pov, in one sentence: "A part of Blitz craved Stolas' "affection" and "interest" in him because he had never experienced true love before (+ all the trauma in his past really fucked him up when it comes to opening up his heart and recieveing love and not pushing people away), and pretty much got hooked to the "relationship" despite Stolas' gaslighting, name calling and manipulative tendencies"
long story short, blitz fell in love with his abuser and is unable to break free. symbolically, he cant break the chains

The Five Stages Of Grief: Verosika vs. Stolas
Alright, guys, it's time to play the complete denial card and ignore for a moment what we've just seen in the last short Viv dropped like a fucking nuke on our heads (seriously, this woman makes me swear more than a sailor).
Are we going to talk about something light? Ha-ha, you are looking at the angstiest person out here. Sorry. No relief for you.
But maybe some bits of analysis will do? Let's go.
The setup
Some time ago, I discussed how differently Stolas and Verosika react to their breakup with Blitz in response to one of my previous posts (it might be useful to read that to have the whole picture, but it's not crucial—here).
Tumblr media
S2EP9, Apology Tour, 8:05
If we recap that reblog, I find that Stolas deals with his emotions much better and processes them in a more mature manner than Verosika does.
We could stop there, really, but I wanted to explore the situation from a different angle. Using the Kübler-Ross five stages of grief model, we can pull out more nuance from their actions and words.
They both went through a similar traumatic event—Blitzø hurt them in arguably one of the worst ways possible. The circumstances, Blitzø's intentions, and the outcomes are slightly different, but at their core, they are both left broken and deeply wounded.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left: S2EP8, The Full Moon, 22:00 Right: S2EP9, Apology Tour, 18:03
So, what about their personalities makes their responses to trauma so contrasting?
Disclaimer about the model's credibility
This is probably me being overly pedantic, but I want to point out that this model is deemed to be popularized by the media, and professionals’ opinions are conflicted—some say it is accurate while others criticize it for its lack of flexibility or go as far as to say it has no application in real life. The studies are also inconclusive—there are papers both in favor of and against this model.
What am I trying to say here? This is a silly analysis about silly demons from a silly show, and if you do happen to unfortunately experience grief in any way (I am so sorry you have to go through this!), it is essentially experienced by all people differently. You should not feel bad if you skip stages or if their order is messed up.
Okay? <3 Okay. You’ve got this in your own way.
Tomorrow will be better than today.
Stolas: A Classic Way
One of the things I noted in my previous post is that Stolas immediately recognizes the pettiness of the party, and I praised his remarkable ability to see through the issues with such events.
Tumblr media
The one day a year the spirits can rise amongst the living and it's spent celebrating mutual pettiness. S2EP9, Apology Tour, 6:55
And don’t get me wrong—his own way of dealing with problems is just drinking them away, and that’s not healthy. That’s why he actually belongs at this party.
But emotionally, Stolas is much more aware of what’s going on with him and the people around him. I think that despite his drinking problem, this awareness helps him process his own grief faster and find resolution—or at least an outlet—in just one night.
Let’s apply the five stages of grief model to him and see what’s going on.
Denial
You can see the denial seeping through during their morning conversation—there are moments when he clearly hopes Blitzø will suddenly listen to him and change his demeanor, despite Blitzø being consistent in his brashness and hostility.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left: S2EP9, Apology Tour, 3:56 Right: S2EP9, Apology Tour, 4:23
Can you see the hope in his eyes? Can you see how ready he would be to brush off the whole shitshow happened between them just for Blitzø to take at least a bit of accountability or accept his feelings?
Additionally, although it doesn’t fit the term perfectly, we could stretch the concept a bit and say that the following lyrics below are somewhat denialish. Notice, by the way, that it’s not linear to the suggested model—you’ll see why later.
Tumblr media
But I, I keep on waiting Waiting to want you less than I do And I do, oh, I do, yes I still do want you S2EP9, Apology Tour, 11:08
Tumblr media
'Cause I am not a thief, but you were mine to earn S2EP9, Apology Tour, 11:42
He struggles to accept that the relationship has ended (we struggle too, baby owl, and we're not accepting it… but it gets worse before it gets better), and he still waits for Blitzø to return, maintaining a possessive feeling—“you were mine to earn.”
Anger
Stolas's anger is vastly different from Verosika's—I promise to elaborate on it later.
He uses his anger throughout the morning confrontation with Blitzø to protect himself from Blitzø's attacks and futile attempts to retain the status quo. His anger serves to assert that he is done with the transactional arrangement and Blitzø's behavior.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As shocking as this might seem, Blitzø, I don't think I'm in the mood to "do sex" with you. In fact, I don't think I'm even in the mood to do words with you! So, how about you respect that? S2EP9, Apology Tour, 0:57
Tumblr media
[Stolas]: Get out. Right now! [Blitzø]: What?! [Stolas]: I'm tired of this! I'm uncomfortable how you're speaking to me now! S2EP9, Apology Tour, 2:24
And all of this happens just the night after that disastrous full moon meeting! Stolas is pissed off, and rightfully so. But he still gives Blitzø the chance to correct his behavior, explain, and apologize. He asks Blitzø to leave him in peace but stays to hear him out until it becomes clear that Blitzø is not going to relent or give in.
His anger is not used to destroy those he is angry with; rather, it is directed toward keeping himself whole—at least as much as possible.
Bargaining
The whole verse of All 2 U, where Stolas contemplates what went wrong and if there's something they could still do, represents him trying to bargain for a better future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe there's something here for us to glean? For you to teach and me to try and learn? S2EP9, Apology Tour, 11:32
Of course, this is also something very useful for when they come back together (not if!). Despite Blitzø being the focus in the Apology Tour episode, Stolas has a lot of work to do, too. And him realizing that is a positive step.
But for now, from the perspective we’re looking at, this is a clear sign of him trying to trade anything he can for their relationship to flourish.
Depression
Eventually, Stolas breaks down publicly. He can’t hold the mask on anymore; seeing Blitzø is unbearable, as it reminds him too much of everything that happened and everything that could’ve been.
Tumblr media
You! Why are you here? I don't want you here, go home, please! Let me not feel so sad! S2EP9, Apology Tour, 15:50
And he manages to compose himself incredibly quickly…
Tumblr media
S2EP9, Apology Tour, 16:07
It takes him just 17 seconds to fall into crying and calm himself. But there was more brewing beneath the surface—he just didn’t show it.
Tumblr media
Calm yourself, young prince. You know excitement is unbecoming of a Goetia. S2EP1, The Circus, 00:20
Acceptance...?
Then there's the guy who received more hate than he (allegedly) deserved—Better Than Blitzo guy. He asks Stolas for a dance, and Stolas accepts. He seems to quite enjoy himself there, actually… maybe even a tad too much (arguably).
Tumblr media
Well, I just wanted to see if... Maybe... I dunno... You'd wanna... Dance? S2EP9, Apology Tour, 16:16
Tumblr media Tumblr media
S2EP9, Apology Tour, 19:08
Tumblr media
S2EP9, Apology Tour, 20:08
Did he move on? Did he get over Blitzø? We don’t know. I don’t think so. But that dance was certainly an outlet. A relief he was ready to accept. He was ready not to dwell on negative emotions and allow himself to feel something good for a change.
Verosika: A scorched earth way
Now, let’s see how Verosika is doing after all these years post-breakup. Surely she can’t care less about Blitzø now, right?
Anger
Right… No petty feelings at all.
Tumblr media
S1EP3, Spring Break, 8:13
There's still resentment...
Tumblr media
A selfish imp in the sheets And just as bad in the streets A reckless, heartbreaking freak! S1EP7, Ozzie's, 11:54
Anger… to the murderous degree, actually…
Tumblr media
Fuck Blitzo in the fucking ass! S2EP9, Apology Tour, 8:14
Disrespect...
Tumblr media
That cock-sucking motherfucker! S2EP9, Apology Tour, 9:36
Remember when I said their anger is different?
She uses hers to fuel her determination to destroy Blitzø’s reputation. She uses her fame and all her resources to humiliate him.
She never moved past anger. Never really processed it.
But wait…
Acceptance?!
Tumblr media
S2EP9, Apology Tour, 18:55
All it took was just one long-overdue genuine talk. The moment she saw Blitzø's remorse and let her feelings out, she immediately warmed up, stopped using his dead name, and even gave advice—it’s debatable whether it was the best one, but I believe she meant well for both Blitzø and Stolas.
Tumblr media
Hold it, Blitzø. Y’know, if you wanna change, it just starts with saying: “Good for him, hope he gets laid.” S2EP9, Apology Tour, 19:18
You know, I feel there’s a good chance that the next anti-Blitzo party might not ever happen again.
Because she leaped through all the stages in one night, and, maybe not at that exact moment, but she is on the path to acceptance. Finally letting it go.
Baby, I'm not over it, but I'm over you.
Could've saved many years of simmering in rage and destructing herself over Blitzø though.
Conclusions
Oh shit, now I need to somehow connect all the dots, don’t I?
Well... *chuckles nervously* I guess I gotta put on my nerd glasses and pretend I knew what I was doing here and not just threw shit at the wall and saw what stuck.
What I really wanted to say is that Stolas is much more self-aware and was able to work through all his feelings and process them in one day. He went through the complete journey and made immense progress. We don’t know how it will go further, but from what we’ve seen, his emotional intelligence helps him, if not to avoid problematic behaviors like binge-drinking, then at least not to burn bridges behind him, leaving space for understanding, forgiveness, and acceptance.
It’s not to say that Verosika’s way of doing things was wrong because she was angry and skipped through some stages. It was wrong because she made her entire personality revolve around it, turning bringing Blitzø down in any way possible into her ultimate life goal. It was wrong because she never processed it.
And it shows why, even after the break-up, #stolitz can still work, given that Blitzø is open about how he feels and Stolas is open to listening to it.
AGAIN! There’s no right way to process grief. But there should be a priority to heal and accept instead of doubling down and ruining yourself and everything you cared for.
(I am watching you, Blitzø hater. Don’t you dare to shit on my poor lizard. He has his own heap of issues and has had enough after that fucking penguin slur short. So don’t. >:()

I am askthedragonprinceviren! Sorry can't reblog the post because I was blocked for being an anti apparently :) just saying nice analysis! Though why not giving some actual slack to the chain?
Also blitz loves Stolas painfully. I would say, more than the other way around currently.
I don't pay enough attention to discourse generally to understand what is and isn't anti, but I gotta say I dislike untruths and half baked takes being passed around like they're cold hard factual truth.
Why they chose to keep the chain straight? Well, I'm only guessing as I'm not related to the show in the slightest, but the Doylist (IE, the author/the real world/technical limitations) explination is likely that it was cheaper to animate a straight line than bother with the swinging of loose chain, plus it keeps the animation focused on what matters- Stolas and Blitz moving closer and closer together.
The Watsonian explanation (in universe, character driven, etc) is likely either that, as a figment of Blitz's addled mental state, Mind-Stolas is simply interested in drawing Blitz closer, but without force.
I would suggest it's Blitz's subconcious picking up on how badly Stolas wants him in return but that is pretty decent conjecture and hard to base exactly. I will note that Mind- Stolas smiles at Blitz and moves and touches him gently. That he brings Blitz UP with him on the high throne. Even in an addled state it appears that Blitz recognizes that Stolas is putting him at an equal height, something that Blitz blushes over and can't meet Stolas' eyes for.
As far as 'currently loving Stolas more than Stolas loves Blitz' ..... have you ever experienced actual heartbreak? You don't get drunk as hell, go to a party you think is stupid, SING ON STAGE ABOUT HOW YOU MIGHT BE THE ONE IN THE WRONG, and confess that you want that person to want you while crying all four eyes out without feeling SOME TYPE OF WAY.
Is Stolas hurt? Absolutely. Is Stolas continuing to believe that Blitz' answer is 'no I don't want you' and therefore drunkenly smooching on someone else? Yes! Can raging heartbreak and still holding out hope that you will fix things and get back with someone coexist? ALSO FUCKING YES.
Complex characters means complicated emotions. Nobody is ever one thing, not really. Stolas is, during Apology Tour, a bunch of things for a bunch of different reasons. Shame (over his and Blitz' agreement), Hurt (Blitz roleplaying instead of talking, plus a bunch of other shit), Anger (Blitz refusing to leave him alone, among others), and more! In addition to ALL OF THAT, though- He loves Blitz enough to set him free. To recognize that their arrangement wasn't healthy, and to want to do right by Blitz and release him from an agreement that isn't fair.
Stolas loves Blitz so much that he gets trashed and goes to a stupid ass party in a vain attempt to soothe how much it hurts that the person he loves doesn't appear to love him back.
(Blitz does love him though, he's just got ~ISSUES~ and no one in this show knows how to fucking talk. I love them so much.)

I obviously don't want them to speedrun Stolitz and magically fix their complicated relationship in like one episode, but I also don't want them to unnecessarily drag it out the entire series, we already have Miraculous for that kinda shipping bullshit.

Does anyone else just… immediately cringe and nope out the second you read Stolas call Blitz by his very-much-unwanted petname over and over in fanworks? Unless it’s a part of his character development and something Blitz calls him out on - something he stops doing early on (as he does in canon) - I can’t continue reading whatever it is. It’s a major ooc flag that I just can’t ignore and it drives me up the wall.

Okay I’m seeing a lot of “Stolas shouldn’t have sprung everything onto Blitzø all at once and he should’ve given Blitzø time to process” but 1. This talk was soooo long overdue that it’s better that Stolas was as clear as possible and got everything off of his chest because their communication has been pretty awful thus far and 2. Blitzø was kinda the one who started heavily insulting Stolas while following him down the hallway? I don’t blame Stolas for teleporting Blitzø out, they both were very hurt in the conversation and anything further said probably wasn’t going to help the situation at all. I just hate how the fandom has to make one or the other into the bad person in the relationship like???

I've seen some meta posts and fanart about Blitz giving Stolas those "gud job" stickers he gave the little goat, and I just love all of them for so many reasons. It's such a good concept, especially in the context of a future where Stolas works for I.M.P., because I think it'd ultimately be very good for both Stolas in general and for his and Blitz's relationship.
Bear with me for a second as I go on a little tangent, but I remember seeing a post awhile back about this dnd group who had a kindergarten teacher for a DM, and she would give out stickers when the players did a good job in the game. After a little while she started to encourage them to do better outside of the game too, like showering/doing laundry more often or learning how to cook so they could take turns with her to provide the weekly meal for their group, and she would praise them when they did, which made them want to do it more often. She'd also do stuff like tell them, “we don't use autistic as an insult here, I'm very disappointed in you”, and they'd stop. And all of that worked, because they were so unused to having someone be proud of them or getting praised for good behavior.
Good job stickers are such a small reward, but both children and adults alike tend to cherish getting them and are more motivated to do well when they have tangible proof that their efforts are noticed and appreciated. If you consistently give people praise for what they do right while they're still learning, they usually take the inevitable course corrections that come with any learning curve a lot better. And when they get something really wrong and cross a line, a simple “I'm very disappointed in you” or "hey, that's really fucked up, don't say shit like that" hits much harder, and prompts them to both want to do better and to be more conscientious of their words/actions going forward in order to be told they did a good job again and get another sticker for their accomplishment of unlearning the unwanted behavior.
And literally I think that'd work so well on Stolas - and probably Blitz too, let's be real. He's starved for approval from people whose opinion he cares about and he's likely desperate to be told whether or not he's doing the right things, because he's been trying so hard to be a better person, but he's been having to do it basically entirely alone without much direction. Positive reinforcement would work so much better for people like him and Blitz than getting a tongue lashing every time they got something wrong. And I genuinely think Blitz and Stolas would want to use this method of positive reinforcement once they got started. They don't like hurting each other outside of a BDSM context, and honestly doling out praise for doing well is probably something they already used to do during/after scenes, so once Blitz gets them started with the stickers I think they'd probably fall back into it pretty naturally. Whether the others follow suit is up for debate though lol.
