I think dog Jesus predates most of today's dog breeds. Realistically he'd probably be some kind of mutt, probably with vaguely Canaan dog looks. But European depictions of Jesus have always been very localized, and I tend to think that in Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque art he'd usually appear as a Spaniel of sorts, although it varies from piece to piece. Gun dogs more often than not.

Idk some malinois owners are so obsessed with their dogs it almost seems like a cult. They go on about the hours they put in and the drive their dogs have and it feels like they’re seeking purpose for themselves rather than what’s actually beneficial for their dogs? If Mals are so high maintenance how could ordinary people own them?

If a malinois is owned by a regular person the cult-like folk will go on and on about how those people must not have intense dogs or that their (the cult-like people's) dogs are soooo much more crazy and work worthy than the people with them as active companions lol.

Really the way they talk about these dogs is no different than the people that worship corporate work grind. Like the type of language is the same and everything.

so the bone cancer my healthy, athletic, fit af 10 year old dog died of in 2 months is apparently 4x more likely in dogs altered earlier than 12 months, and she was bc she was a shelter dog adopted out at 10 months old

moxie is still spayed obviously, she’s from a shelter too and was spayed by them at 5 months, but I need y’all to understand these procedures carry risks too, and no, the average idiot pet owner who can’t even leash their dog at the local park shouldn’t own intact dogs, but that doesn’t negate the cons or rule out health risks over health benefits, there are BOTH

i love editing my little videos, writing my little fanfics, making my little tumblr posts. i love my little community of 6 people who always like everything i make and i recognize their usernames and it makes me smile when i see it in my notifications. i love this place where i'm totally anonymous and yet at the same time really vulnerable and authentic, especially when i write. i love that i get to do this. i love that what i do gets to mean something to someone.

i grew up surrounded by fandom culture and though it has its ups and downs i really do love this little corner of the internet where we all get to be kids on a playground, showing each other our favorite toys and playing make-believe.
